I arrived at Berkeley Eye Center East Freeway and was greeted by Elizabeth with a friendly customer smile. Once my name was called Ms. Sylvia took me to the exam room which proceeded to exam the basic information for doctor Mrs. Trujillo. Mrs.Trujillo’s enter the room and greeted me with a smile which put me at ease and helped me gain confidence. She was very professional and remarkable doctor. When exam was completed I was introduced to Mr. Oscar who show me glasses that was covered by my insurance. Though I was not interested in any of the display, Mr. Oscar showed customer friendly attitude even though I didn’t make a purchase. Ms. Karen did a fantastic job at-getting information for approval of my insurance Kudos for all staff. Look forward to next year’s exam at this location. Sincerely, Mary Landa

I drive from Austin to see Dr. Canseco. When living in Houston I became her patient after getting a fever blister in my eye. Dr. C is smart, well trained, considerate, has a super staff and has helped keep my eye clear of more outbreaks that could leave that eye blind. Grateful to remain her patient.

So this morning something entered my eye and was very bothersome, went to work couldn’t work comfortably and so I called my Berkeley eye center and Karen set me up for a 3 pm appointment. Came in and ta-da Dr Arenales took out a small plastic particle which don’t know how it got there but besides the point. I was now looking better and end the day I filled my prescription for eye glasses. Glenda took care of me and liked her suggestions on a better fit on my face frame. The out come to the end of my day was an awesome look to the rest of my day

I took my 86 year old father to get a cataract screening with Dr. Canseco a few months ago. We were both really impressed with Dr. Canseco, Veronica Morales, and the entire staff. Everyone was so nice and very professional. My father is a very nervous and anxious person and they all made him feel very comfortable and at ease which is no small task. He had his cataract surgery at their surgery center on Weslayan and again, the staff was extremely professional, very comforting, and top notch. My dad is a man of few compliments and he was very appreciative of their kindness, thoroughness, and making him very comfortable before and after his eye surgery. We came during the offices open house and I was back in town just for a few days and needed a new eye exam and glasses. The girl at the front desk helped me get a last minute appointment which I am very grateful for since I travel out a lot and the other places I had called were not accepting walk-ins or closed. The staff was very friendly and professional and I loved the way Dr Arenales and the Tech explained everything while doing the exams. Hilda the Optician was able to help me find the perfect pair of glasses and then offered different coatings for the lenses which depended on the usage of the glasses. I felt she was very knowledgeable and although I usually do not get any upgrades on my glasses I could not help but add a few things to both pairs. Best part of it all, I'm getting everything shipped to me since I will no longer be here when they are ready. Since they went above and beyond for me and I saw they did it for other patients too I just wanted it to somehow go on record how awesome this staff is.

I woke up to an air bubble on my eye and searched for the closest Ophthalmologist to see me today. The first one I reached out to couldn’t see me until a month and a half out and I wanted to be seen today. I reached out to this clinic and not only did they pick up the phone (vs being transferred numerous times or automated service); they were able to see me within the hour of calling. Their staff is extremely friendly and the doctor was willing to sit and explain things and listen to my questions and concerns without feeling rushed.

By far the best eye dr location I have ever been to. The staff are amazing and love to communicate with you. Dr. Arenales was my eye doctor and I was blessed to have her because she is basically the eye dr Encyclopedia because she knows everything and she makes sure you are 110% satisfied when you leave with your future glasses and tend to show compassion which makes her a one of a kind. Shortly after getting my glasses I damaged them one month in so I went back to have them fixed which hilda was the one who helped with that. Which I have to say she is very professional and a outstanding worker something you don’t see very often and she pushes too make sure you are satisfied with the repairs. Canseco M.D in the Katy Office I was very happy I found a Eye dr. that I was conferrable and I can Trust, 2 years later she moved to the East Freeway office 36 miles way from my home so I followed her at her new location I will travel even longer to have a doctor making my well been a priority. I got my new prescription verified twice for accuracy and was provided with my pd measurements for those who are buying online. Berkeley has many frames to choose from on their website. Just provide them with model number. Vsp insurance is accepted here. I’ve worn glasses since I was a kid and tried various opticals. Update: I just picked up my new glasses today and I am thrilled! I absolutely LOVE them! I’ll definitely keep going back AND I’ll be telling all my friends and family how happy I am with the service here! I also forgot to mention (so they know who I am) that my legal name is Debra C. but I am posting under my google name. I was so excited to find out that Berkeley was coming in near my home on East Fwy! I was going to them way back when it was Berkeley-Mann in Humble in the distant past at least a decade ago. And I was even still in the system! New address. New name. Yes, I was happy back then, too. In between, I went to Mann because there wasn't really anything over here yet except me, since I had moved. But now.....I'm back! This time, it is Berkeley Eye Center and I am really, really impressed, especially with the COVID precautions that are being taken. Being older, I naturally look at this first with any business. Berkeley is going over and beyond in making sure that patients are protected and taken care of from the process of making appointments to social distancing measures to sterilization procedures. And of course, hand sanitizer is available and masks are required. So, yeah...they've done everything they can to make things as comfortable as possible. I found exactly what I like in frames and now I am just waiting for my glasses to come in. I can hardly wait to wear my new glasses and see what everyone thinks of them!
