My mother had surgery and afterwards she needed a rehab center. After looking through reviews I chose this place. It was a little rough when we first started. About the third week, I noticed something wasn’t right and I got the nurse and she tested her for Covid. It was positive. Appropriate PPE equipment was provided for all. Seven days later my sister noticed some breathing problems and we had her sent to the hospital and treated for Covid related bronchitis. These two incidents were discovered by family not by nursing staff and occurred on the weekends. These were the low points of the facility. The week day staff was excellent, but in light of some issues, I had discussed all my issues with the administrator. Changes were being made. A new director of nursing and other support staff. If I had a problem at anytime I could text or call the administrator. There were two nurse supervisors that primarily worked during the week that were excellent. And there was one member of the custodial staff that didn’t want to clean up the rooms too. Over the six weeks I could have given one star but other days it would be a five star. But upon exiting the facility and the end, we felt sad and we thanked them for their service’s. My suggestions may help their rehab facility. Paint the interior of the building. It looks to old. And continue hiring support staff and run the weekends like the weekday. Consistency! If you decide to choose this place, Jay the day shift supervisor is the best. Meet with him. Check your loved one every day. See that your loved one is being taken care of. They’ll appreciate it. Finally, if I had to do it all over again, I would select this place. We made it and my mother is recovering well.
