I'm so grateful to have my Mother staying at the Colonial of Tampa. The Staff is overwhelmingly friendly and very attentive. During a recent small bout with Covid, they took great care of her. The Colonial is the place for assisted living in the USF area. The Colonial is a 'happy place'!

I don't usually do reviews but I wanted Colonial to know they do a great job. The ALF tech's are great!! They are kind and helpful, the kitchen staff is accommodating to the patients needs. I love the management. Denise the Director of nurses is a friendly face that has great problem solving skills. She is a team player and a hard worker. After the year that health care workers have had this is a place where you know your loved ones will be cared for. Shout out to Mary Beth their director. Everyone is committed to excellence.

As a Director of Nursing for a local Home Care agency, I have to say Colonial ALF in Tampa has the most caring Director of Nursing I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. She truly cares about her residents and makes sure they get what they need and deserve. The facility is recently renovated and extremely clean. They have 24/7 staff to assist the residents and they are wonderful. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

my name is Keith and I am a World War II veteran living at Colonial assisted living at tampa. it's great to live somewhere that recognizes veterans the way Colonial does. the activities for veterans are fun, including the veterans lunch. the building is also close to the VA which is very nice.

Colonial Assisted Living provides my mother with the most OUTSTANDING care and treatment anyone could ask for. She absolutely loves living everyday in this facility. It is her home! She is always talking about how nice, kind, and loving the workers are to her. Moreover, she loves the activities they offer and the food they serve--especially because she says it is always very healthy. Finally, my mother says that there is no place she would rather live than Colonial Assisted Living in Tampa. She loves it!

I had the privilege of being the first live, in-person entertainer to perform at Colonial Assisted Living at Tampa since the COVID-19 restrictions were eased. The event was held outside, and the residents and I had a blast. They sang along on nearly every song, and it was great to see so many smiles! The Lifestyle Director, Janice, did a great job setting up and marketing the event, and she and her staff were warm, welcoming, and very attentive to the residents' needs. The facility itself is clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend Colonial Assisted Living at Tampa to someone looking for an ALF for their relatives or loved ones.

I am a third party vendor that has not been in this community for over two years. I was completely blown away at how it has changed. The cleanliness , the friendliness and professionalism is above and beyond. . It is obvious the Housekeeping there is amazing. I had the opportunity to meet the new Executive Director. She was so knowledgeable about the community, she was professional and friendly. The outside is clean and inviting. A lot of the residents were doing painting in the activity area and seemed very happy. The community has some new forms that third party vendors fill out that keeps all parties engaged and updated regarding resident's care. I have to say they are definitely doing something there right!!!!!

Toured this facility recently for my mother-in-law. I had initially toured this facility many years ago and when I toured recently I was pleasantly surprised to see all of the changes and renovations being made. The first thing i noticed was the remodel, it makes the facility really feel like home and makes the atmosphere inviting. I toured during lunchtime and was impressed with the menu and the professionalism of the dining facility. The kitchen staff seems to care about the nutrition of the residents and provide good home cooked meals. I also noticed the care and compassion from the nursing department. The director Denise was very helpful in making me feel comfortable that my mother-in-law would have all of her cares attended to. She made me feel comfortable that there is staff on-site 24/7 in case she needs assistance. I would also like to commend Rich for giving such an excellent tour, he was very professional and I feel that he cares about the families and the staff. He greeted and introduced me to each staff member as they walked by.

The facility is always clean (The decor is amazing) and the staff go above and beyond to make sure their residents are safe and comfortable. The dining options they have available for residents are above any I’ve ever seen at other assisted living facilities. Adrienne Christian and the food staff put their all into every meal. I would love to thank Mary Beth who is a wonderful and caring administrator if I could work for just her I would do as many hours necessary to help her keep up the place I had a personal urgency with my child Marybeth called to check on me and was seriously concerned as to the supervisor who felt as though her family matter was more important than mine which is not ok especially after I had worked 6 days nonstop no call outs or tardiness she still felt as though I should be in no matter my concern yes I found my son and though I know I may never get my job back if I could have Marybeth for a administrator any day without the authority under her she is not concerned with any of her workers and their needs to keep them motivated to Marybeth my son has been home and I would just like to say thank you and would work for you whenever you needed me hands down

Great community and quite clean. Staff is attentive and warm. My friend is very happy here and taken good care of. The only down side is that its not a large building, its smaller. I shopped around and found this place to be much cleaner and warmer than the rest. I stayed for dinner a few times and was very impressed as well felt like a good home cooked meal. A good place for your loved one if you are looking for more of a community feel.

Wonderful staff! So welcoming and friendly. Everything I could’ve asked for and then some for my Dad who has dementia. Very clean, lots of activities and great all around vibe. As a nurse in the Tampa Bay area for 39 years I have worked and seen a lot of different type of facilities. I can honestly say that this is one facility in Tampa that I would place a family member and feel very comfortable with my decision. The staff here are caring, compassionate and very empathetic. Their activities department is above and beyond with a very passionate director. The kitchen staff are amazing and take every individuals needs to heart when preparing all meals for the residents. The housekeeping is above and beyond. And the Administrater is probably one of the most empathetic and caring people I have ever met. The owners of this company are very involved in daily responsibilities of this community and are very accessible when needed.

I stopped by Colonial Assisted Living in Tampa the other day and was very impressed with the facility. It seemed very clean and well maintained and the staff was very friendly. While I was there they even had an event going on complete with a belly dancer! The residents seemed to be having a blast and the interaction that I observed between the staff and the residents seemed warm and genuine.

I currently work at cheney brothers inc . Food service company and i am the delivery driver for this assisted living facility . I go there twice or 3 times a week. This is so far the best assisted living home around tampa , the place is clean , kitchen is clean , people are very friendly . Is by so far one of the best stops that I have . But most I want to thank Adrienne Christian for always looking out for me , for always going the extra mile to make my days easier and to keep me rolling and on the road . I have been living here for about 3 months and I must say this is a very clean and safe place to live it has a nice atmosphere and the people here are really friendly one of the things that I really like is that I can get my hair done. The food here is a major upgrade from the last place I lived. I just want to say how grateful I am that the Covid 19 vaccine was offered to us here I took it and I fill great.

I have lived here for over two years now and what I can say about colonial is that they have a good staff they are all good in my book especially Mrs. Maxine who can to my aid when I had a seizure I really appreciate that. The food that Adrian and the kitchen staff cook for us is really good I always leave with a full belly and one of my favorite activities is going outside on Thursday to get some fresh air I can say I'm happy living here.

I volunteer here and it's always so much fun especially spending time with the residents because I always get good stories and warm welcomes. It's a great place to go and volunteer to have fun, laugh, and just spend time away from electronics while enjoying all the little things in life. I love volunteering and helping decorate for all the fun parties or just sitting down and enjoying a bingo game with all the sweet residents.

What an amazing place. I toured this facility for placement of a family member. From the moment I walked in it felt like home. I first met with the Executive Director that toured me thru the whole facility at which time I was introduced to each department manager. I was able to ask questions that might or might not affect my family member if I decided to place them there. I was also introduced to many staff members that have been employed there for many years, which speaks volumes to me. The facility was clean, there were activities going on at the time. Everyone was so friendly and professional. You can tell that the owners of this facility take great pride in it. There are currently renovations going on to continue improvement. This is definitely going to home for my family!!!

The staff seemed pleasant. The receptionist, Samantha, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and was able to answer all my questions!

Beautiful newly renovated facility. Cute new decor give the resident a neighborhood feel. The residents are a fantastic group with versatile backgrounds that make it fun to sit around and enjoy stories from the past. The top notch team is unbeatable in the area. From the Administration to the custodial department, the TEAM is extremely passionate and responsive to their residents needs. Highly recommended. I recommend taking one of their daily tours. YOU HAVE TO SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT!!!!

My mother was at this facility for three years, we didn’t have any issues a big part of that was due in part to the kitchen staff most notably Adrienne she went out of her way to take care of each resident to make them feel special to make sure she knew exactly what they needed that gave the family members piece of mind, Knowing that their loved one was cared for by someone who thought so much of them. Adrienne is an asset to that facility she is a big part of the reason it was still going she pays attention to details she treats the residents like family she’s an amazing person and I think God she was there during the time that my mother stayed there because it really made me feel good knowing that she was being taken care of and Adrienne was watching over her as well. I recently moved into Colonial Tampa. They have helped me with is my VA Benefits and helped me settle into my new life. Food is good, place is clean, and people are nice. This is a great place to live, check them out.

(Translation) My mom started living here on May 3, 2019; so for starters we celebrated mother's day here and I took a lot of photos. The kitchen employees (who are very special and very good people) served a special menu and the relatives were able to enjoy it. Although my mother did not know English, she has been learning little by little and that fact has not been an impediment to being here. The other participants have been teaching and helping her, until now they have understood each other and have related very well, apart from the fact that the cleaning staff are all Hispanic and that fact has been of great help. All the employees here are very nice and helpful. The place is always very clean, I have even seen that they clean the edges of the floor and especially the kitchen and dining room; I always notice that they clean it every day. I looked for several Assisted Living and we chose this one because we consider that it is central, close to my home and the price is very good. I visit my mom every week and, as long as she signs, I can take her out and take her wherever she wants. If they have a medical emergency they call the ambulance and take her to the Emergency Room and they immediately call me and let me know. Little by little my mother has adapted to living here and, despite the language, she did not have much trouble making friends and sharing with all the other participants. (Att. Carmen) (Original) Mi mamá empezó a vivir aquí en mayo 3, 2019; así que de entrada celebramos el día de las madres aquí y tomé muchas fotos. Las empleadas de la cocina (que son muy especiales y muy buena gente) sirvieron un menú especial y los familiares pudimos disfrutar del mismo. Aunque mi mamá no sabía inglés ha ido aprendiendo poco a poco y ese hecho no ha sido impedimento para estar aquí. Las demás participantes le han ido enseñando y ayudando, hasta ahora se han entendido y se han relacionado de lo más bien, aparte de que el staff de limpieza son todos hispanos y ese hecho ha sido de gran ayuda. Todos los empleados aquí son muy buenos y serviciales. El lugar siempre está bien limpio, hasta he visto que limpian las orillas del piso y sobre todo la cocina y el comedor; siempre noto que lo limpian todos los días. Busqué varios Assisted Living y escogimos éste pues consideramos que es céntrico, cerca de mi hogar y el precio muy bueno. Yo visito a mi mamá todas las semanas y, siempre y cuando firme, la puedo sacar y llevar a donde ella quiera. Si tienen alguna emergencia médica ellos llaman a la ambulancia y la lleva a Sala de Emergencia e inmediatamente me llaman y me dejan saber. Poco a poco mi mamá se ha ido acoplando a vivir aquí y, a pesar del idioma, no pasó mucho trabajo en hacer amistades y compartir con todos los demás participantes. (Att. Carmen)
