They take their time with each customer and make them feel important and make sure their needs are met before they leave! Their technician is absolutely amazing! I had a violin that needed some TLC and he took care of it while I waited! He made it look brand new! He is wonderful! Highly recommend him and all of the staff! With several family members in band we have had not only clarinet and saxophone repair done here but also our annual instrument cleanings. Recently our 6th grade sax player had a key and a cover separate from the instrument before school… the awesome folks at Music Scene had it repaired before his third hour band class that very morning . I purchased two instruments from Music Scene and have had the best experience. The shop owners are SO helpful and knowledgeable. I never felt like I was being pressured in to buying something or was being taken advantage of like I did when calling other places in the area. They by far have the best prices, service, and people in the area. If you aren't local to Andover, it is still worth the drive. We live an hour away, it it saved me hundreds of dollars coming here. I left feeling great about my purchase, knowing I had two high quality instruments in great condition and would have the help I needed should problems arise or repairs be needed. They stand by their instruments and repairs and the customer service is outstanding. I wish more places treated their customers this way! The owners are local, invested in their community and support the kids in so many ways. I have referred several other families, and they all have had the same experiences!

What can I say?! I absolutely love this place! My first experience at Music Scene was about 18 months ago when I was looking for an electric piano with weighted keys for my granddaughter. While talking with one of the store owners, Kyle Shook about learning to play the piano as a middle-aged adult he stated, “You’re never too old to learn how to play the piano!” I decided to give it a try and what do you know, I’m still taking lessons with my 8 year old granddaughter and just loving it!!! I also love our Korg electric piano we purchased! Kyle, his dad Steve and brother in-law Jayme are absolutely amazing people and obviously enjoy music and helping their students and customers! Lane did a fantastic job restringing my new classical guitar and gave me great guitar playing pointers as well! Music Scene and the people there have certainly influenced my life for the greater good! My creativity in the area of music has made a profound difference in my life in a variety of ways! My teen and elementary aged boys have been taking piano here for five months. They have two different teachers which has been fantastic as the teachers are each great personally matched for my boys! Music Scene is an answered prayer! As my family and I moved to Wichita we prayed for the right educators in music. We were looking for a family-friendly music studio for all ages ranging from child to adult to continue music lessons in strings, piano, and voice. The day time lessons are great for our schedule, and the store which we regularly purchase piano books from offers the best deal for our dollar. I walked in with a broken ukulele and violin. Lane fixed the violin in front of me in 5 min. The ukulele was fixed the next day. The experience was friendly, professional, and had the perfect touch of humor. This place has an atmosphere that is welcoming and humble. The staff are always courteous and helpful; the repair shop is efficient and professional (instrument turn-around is very quick); the teachers are all experts in their crafts, give personal attention to each student, and are very good with any aged student. They have large studios for the private lessons, some even with 6 foot grand pianos, so serious players have great instruments to practice on. It’s a family run business and I’ve personally known the store owner and his family for many years and they are all great people to work with. I can’t recommend it enough!

Great place to go. I went and purchased a trumpet from a large store in downtown wichita. I payed $700 for a used Jupiter. I then stopped in Music Scene just to make sure I had made a good purchase. There I found the same trumpet in the same condition. I payed $350. I took back the other trumpet and am very happy I stopped by Music Scene. Also, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly reccomend.

As a beginner, my guitar was killing my fingers. I've owned it since '72, but had never learned to play it. After 6 weeks I had their luthier (Lane) check it out and he told me that it wasn't just me. The strings were way too heavy, so he put on lighter ones and lowered the action & the guitar is worlds easier to play. Lessons through MS are coming along nicely, too (thanks Ryan B.)
