Outstanding service!!!!!!!!!!!! I drive an 18 wheeler so I don’t have much time to mess around. I called ahead and they were very patient and helpful guiding me into the shop. When I arrived they were very helpful and set up ready for me to test drive the Toby Bass. I recommend to all my friends if your going threw St.Lewis stop at MGR PS. I think they had a look out for cops so I wouldn’t get a parking ticket while I paid for my bass

I have bought and sold several things here. Small amps to basses and guitars. There is always something new there and the guys there are fair, knowledgeable and just plain cool. I even took a $100 kit bass to get it setup. They were honest and told me I had issues that they couldn't help me with (wrong nut, wrong string placement - basically i got the wrong neck with my kit). I prefer that kind of honesty in my world.

As a 17 year old girl just starting electric guitar I was a bit nervous to go out and attempt to find an amp. I first started at guitar center which was a little (a lot) out of my price range. Thankfully a very nice worker at guitar center followed me out to my car to recommend music go around. Now I this was a new area for me to visit as I live about a thirty minute drive away but since I was already out there I decided why not give it a try. I was a little nervous overall. Right as I started walking in a very very kind man (who I think was a regular) opened the door for me with a smile on his face. As soon as I walked in the door I was asked what I could be helped with. To which I said a guitar amp on the cheaper side. I was shown a wide array of amps in good condition for good prices! While shopping around I also found a music cable and listened in on many conversations that were being held with the men in the store. Everyone even the costumers were incredibly nice and it seemed as tho they had a little community going on in the store. I had a wonderful time and amazing experience and will be going back for all my music needs. I was super apprehensive and nervous and this was all completely shut down with the super helpful employees and really inviting atmosphere. I know this might sound a little dramatic but I was just really impressed with the service and warm ness of this business!

I walked in on a Saturday with all intentions of selling a steel guitar for cash. Not only did they offer me a fair price he offered a trade in value alittle higher. I told him the kind of music I want to play/ learn and out of their Huge selection of guitars he found one that is made for that ac/dc rock sound it was also almost equal to the trade in value. I got a badass guitar I liked for 2 bucks out of pocket. And I will not deal with any other music store again. You guys are great and know your stuff. Thanks again

They’re friendly. I didn’t end up selling my guitars the two times I’ve gone as it was roughly forty to fifty percent of what I end up getting from a private party sale. Like any shop some items are decently priced, some over, and some under. There are good deals to be had here if you watch their site and our patient.

Excellent place to find value in used instruments. Prices are in line. They do not gouge the consumer. Fair is the best description of their pricing structure. The staff is always helpful and very friendly. You can't beat their knowledge. I don't know what they make to work here but you get the feeling they are there because they love what they do. Need advice on your equipment? They gladly offer suggestions. Web site is pretty up to date. No high pressure felt from the staff. I'm glad they are in our community.

Much easier than selling your gear online. Selling online cost you time, shipping, etc. Selling to these folks is quick and fair. They actually show you how much they will be paying you VS how much they will be listing your equipment for. It's about as transparent as it gets. 100% satisfied. Also - super place to get great gear at a great price. They are super nice as well

Great place, staff is always super nice and friendly. Selection is great but it's a small shop, so there's only so much to fit in there. I've gotten two guitars there and they are in really good shape. I traded in a few instruments, an acoustic fretless, and a Yamaha keyboard. Their trade values are fair but remember that it's trade in. Not resale. Don't go expecting to get what you paid for the used instruments. It's better than pawn shops, but worse than selling them yourself. Highly recommend this place. Great place for meeting fellow musicians too. Definitely go here before guitar center, every time.

This store is the best! My son decided to start taking guitar lessons a couple years ago (He was 10). We went in there and met with one of the guys who spent a lot of time showing him all of his options. He used his own money and ended up buying a electric guitar and amp, which he loves. Fast forward to yesterday, my son was devastated that his plug on his guitar came undone and he thought he was going to have to buy a new guitar, the 2 guys said it wasn't any big deal and fixed his guitar and showed him for the future how he could fix it himself or they stressed to him that he could just bring back and they would fix it. After that he found an acoustic guitar he wants to get with his money. He ended up spending around $40.00 of his own money on some guitar accessories he wanted. The 2 guys in there were so great and helpful and spent the time with my son and didn't just blow him off. They did ask him some questions that he couldn't answer but gave him the answers and explained how to properly tune his guitar. On the way home he said that those guys probably thought he was an idiot because he didn't know the answers to their questions, I said no way would they ever think that, they actually thought you were great for taking an interest. So hats off to Music Go Round, best customer service and wonderful associates. I hope for your continued success, we will let everyone know what a great place you have there and by the way we will be back tonight to get the acoustic he wanted.

Love this music store. Small but full of inventory and still plenty of room to move around. Nice assortment of new and uses guitars, drum kits and accessories. A variety of keyboards from different eras. A really good assortment of percussion instruments at very fair prices. I found the staff to be courteous and knowledgeable. My favorite music store in town! I've bought from, sold to, and browsed around, always a very good experience. Being that they deal primarily in used equipment, the stock is constantly changing and there is always something new to see (the exact opposite of some big chains I need not mention). Sure, you could go Guitar Center for the selection. But I prefer to support local. I bought a couple basic items here (like a mic stand). The staff is excellent, knows their stuff, and won't breathe down your neck if you're "just looking". All the gear here is used but in excellent condition. And if it's not, the price is fair. I've been wanting to return just to spend $20 on an inexpensive dynamic microphone. Whether your budget is high or low, this store caters to it.

I think this is a great place for used equipment. I've bought several things from them and was happy with the price and quality of product. Very friendly and helpful staff. I haven't tried to sell them anything, but would expect to be offered low offers. They are a business and you don't stay in business unless you can make a decent profit. They are my first choice when I'm in the market for used equipment.

This store is my favorite I've been too. I've been to probably every good store around Memphis, Tennessee, St Louis. And this is my favorite to visit. The people are absolutely AMAZING! Best service, such nice people that will go out of their way just to help you. A bit small but it's packed of little treasures that usally will be a good deal if not great deal on used equipment. This review is slightly biased in a way because I just love used music stores.

ATTENTION BUYERS !!!!!! Before you buy anything on Craigslist, check out the prices at MGR. I thought it was a fluke the first time I found an item of equal or greater value at MGR less than the prices sellers are asking for on CL. But I have found this to be true many times now. In addition, the store is clean and a safe place to visit. The staff does not hover over you waiting for a sale. But they are always available to answer your questions, and are very knowledgeable on all aspects of musical gear. I will continue to shop there frequently. Love this place! All the guys are great, But Steve is my hero, made my bass play and sound so good men and women's eyes in the crowd began to well up as the sounds of big burly angels and their pure splendor poored from the finely tuned pickups and its restored electrical system into the amp and out into the audience's eager ears. this is the best music store anywhere. they treat you like family. it's, not like certain used stores, in that if you don't have, 2 grand in your pocket your not welcome. weather you have 5 bucks or 500 bucks it doesn't matter, you treated with respect. the prices on trade ins are spot on. music go round doesn't low ball. and when your trade in goes on the wall or floor, the price is not jacked up. and biggest thing is, they don't take, or sell crap. I love these guys, and they are always in my Hart. when you go in tell them nobbs sent you, he owns, the Snoopy cane.

Bought a set of drums on the internet and picked them up 5 days later. Both Brady and Wil were most helpful on the phone with the purchase. I can't say enough about how good the 2 of them and Kevin were when I picked them up. Even listened to a 70 yr old stories who hasn't owned a set in 40 years and looked at vacation pictures. Cool store. I think they were having their grand opening the day I was (got a free Guss's pretzel and COLD bottled water - nice!). I was surprised at how how much they had. Lot's of mid to low-mid priced stuff. Competitively priced with Ebay, Guitar Center used, etc. Probably one of those stores you need to visit every couple of weeks just to see what's new. Their inventory covered acoustic, electric, basses, amps, pedals, drums, pro audio, keyboards, etc. Reminded me of a small Guitar Center that had nothing but used gear. Friendly staff. They had new accessories as well - picks, strings, etc.
