I called at 10:08 AM for some general help regarding my drum kit and while the person who answered the phone did help and give me a great tip, they were quick to shut down the phone call and hang up on me even when i was not finished because they forgot to unlock the front door and someone was there (I could have been put on hold at the minimum). I have taken lessons here in the past and all the people are great but in my opinion from that small interaction i cannot say the customer service is still at the level of quality it once was.

Great music shop with knowledgeable folks working. Having someone that has personal experience to help you is a nice thing. It makes all the difference in the world when you are needing help. I'm going to be stopping back by to find out about music lessons for my 9 year old and I feel like I can trust the judgment of the folks at Mid Rivers Music.

You might have to go into Saint Louis for high end or vintage gear but for mid level or budget great they’re a solid choice. Staff is friendly and helpful. I’ve mostly purchased strings and boxes from them.

They have a great selection of accessories, strings, picks, ect. The prices are very competitive with the big Center stores, which is really nice to see. Went in to buy some strings for my guitar, and walked out with a new practice amp at a great price. Thanks John.

Visited a handful of times. Staff was very disinterested in helping customers each time. Went in looking for a pair of pickup height adjustment screws and the guy behind the counter had no idea what I was talking about. Fairly limited selection of guitars. Half of the guitars on display are noted to ask a staff member if you want to play, but most staff members give off the vibe that they don't want to be bothered. Decent selection of tablature and sheet music. Probably would only return for sheet music.

I have purchased 3 guitars and now, my very first digital piano from Mid Rivers Music. Atrayu, (spelling is different) helped me immensely. I have been researching for almost a year! He gave me accurate info, had great product knowledge, was super easy going, and no pressure, just a willingness to help me understand. Even when I told him I wasnt buying today, he gave me his undivided attention. When I came back, sadly he wasn't scheduled. But...Ken, was amazing as well! He showed me a few quality pieces, didnt mind that I came in and compared one last time, and made sure I saw another model that was awesome, but my mind was made up. I got a very great savings and the whole crew went above and beyond! Thank you so much, I cannot say enough about this store! My next purchase will definitely be here. Thank you Mid Rivers Music!

I found Mid Rivers Music store to be a great source for music, information, instrument specs, and selection of instruments. Their repairs are made on-site and reasonably priced. Being a guitar player, they have an excellent selection of guitars, banjos, and mandolins. I try to go to the store as often as I can because I like to see the latest products in the business. I know if I have a question or concern, the people who work there will be able to answer it. Thank you

I've been driving by for years, but didn't know what was hidden inside this place. Recently, I decided to make a series of guitar modifications to several instruments. I've taken my guitars to several techs around town and have consistently experienced one of two problems - lack of technical expertise, or negligent damage; John at MRM is a PRO who understands instrument anatomy, wiring anomalies, etc., and how to return an instrument in the same condition it was presented for repair. I highly recommend you put your faith in the good folks at Mid Rivers Music!

This review is STRICTLY for guitar instructor, Dan F. My son has Autism and plays guitar left handed. I had been looking for an instructor to work with him for YEARS and was turned down for various reasons. Initially after visiting Mid Rivers Music, even the majority of the employees there tried to tell me why it was a bad idea to teach him to play left handed, and that there probably wasn't a teacher who would be willing to do this. Dan F said he would do it. My son started lessons and goes once a week for an hour and has been a student of Dans for three years. Dan is so patient, knows my sons passions, he is easy to talk to, he supports my son in so many ways. He came to an open mic performance that my son participated in. I cannot recommend him enough. He has a lifelong student, and I hope the owner can see what an asset he is to the company. Thank you Dan!

They are the best place to go for rentals. I rented a trombone for as low as $16 a month!! I absolutely love this place and no matter what repairs I needed fixed they were right on top on it!! 10/10 Would buy again!!

The shop repairman checked over a used acoustic for me, restrung, replaced the sting buttons, and a missing strap button very cheaply. All as soon as I got there and in less than a half hour.
