Visited from Maryland and this place was an absolute joy to discover by accident! Owner was friendly and sociable and I ended up leaving with one of my favorite records. If I wasn’t with friends I could’ve stayed for hours and talked music. Time to book my next flight to Seattle 😉 …

Been meaning to write this review for a few weeks. I dropped by looking for this punk record my mom listened to in my childhood. I grew up with punk rocker parents and am just getting into punk music as an adult so I’m not the most knowledgeable about it so I was a little worried I would look stupid, but the gentleman who helped me was very kind and even taught me a couple of things. Awesome service and great selection.

This is one of the most authentic havens of music and history that you will find, and an integral part of the heart of Belltown. Walking inside is like walking into a sanctum, and the humans who run it are exactly the experts you've been looking for.
Pro-tip: they are also technically a pawn shop, but they're pretty selective so, be prepared to be turned away if you aren't bringing your A Game.

Hearing the guy behind the counters story about pre 1988 and 1989 hardcore was pretty awesome. He was very friendly and didn’t hold back with how he felt about a lot of things. Really great store and the guy had a ton of knowledge. 100% recommendation Crust/Hardcore/Oi!/Street Punk whatever you want, he’ll have. Only bummer, all VHS are $1 or more.

Stopped in and talked with owner who’s a great guy that really cares about punk music and culture. Places like these are so essential but few and far between these days

boy am i glad i live in the same city as this place. always an insane pleasure to visit, i've been twice now, i only wish i could come more! when i went a couple years back the store was VERY intimidating as someone who didn't really know the ropes, but coming in again a little more seasoned i felt right at home in the used crustgrind 7"ers. the notice sign i took a pic of says it all about this place, it's no f-in joke! now maybe if i felt a little more courage to talk to the owner next time haha, bc he's extremely knowledgeable about i swear every band ever. amazing place all around!

Walked in and they were playing Newtown Neurotics (and not just Kick Out the Tories) first and then Komintern Sect in the first ten minutes I was flipping through records there. Been to punk record stores literally all over the world and this was one of the best I’ve ever been to, I think this may be the best I’ve been to yet actually preceded by various shops in Copenhagen (No Punks in K-Town) and Vinyl Conflict in Richmond. Just a jaw dropping selection at the most reasonable prices I’ve yet to see.
Went to pay and the man working the desk was incredibly friendly and had mind-blowing stories of working Gilman in the 90s and more and could talk shop in-depth on punk records and music in general with complete knowledge. Could’ve easily stayed in there for another two or three hours going through the stacks and shooting the breeze with him if I wasn’t in a rush.
I cannot recommend this shop enough. Beyond top notch. This is very easily in the top three shops in the country for punk and Oi and it doesn’t skimp on grind, metal, PV, reggae, dub, and more.

Great guys who work here. So friendly and welcoming to me having gone there twice from the UK. Great punk vinyl, tees and badges. Plenty to look at around the store. Love this place. Feels like home.
Juan Deleon
The owner is awesome. I loved his story about this French punk band, vast knowledge and friendly cat!
Ryan McCammon
Really cool record store, especially if your into punk and hardcore rock. Pretty good prices and FREE ZINES!!! Really friendly and helpful owner, I'm definitely looking forward to going again.
Jim Darnell
Amazing shop and conversation. My new home for record shopping.
Smevin Bravis
Wife (wisely) stopped me before I could spend too much, but the vast amount of great stuff, as well as the historical feel, makes this place a must.
Dustin O
Cool little shop. Almost all Punk vinyl and tapes. A small CD selection. Not really what I am into, but if you like underground punk thats hard to find, this is your spot!
Colin Tilley
Great shop with a massive punk collection, and also some metal and others. Managed to snag Hall & Oates, Moody Blues, and a Cannibal Corpse record in one go, which the owner appropriately commented on with, "Yep, I see these bought together often." Really digging it and will for sure be back to check it out some more.
Mark Cutmore
Awesome record store leaning heavily towards punk and hardcore. Great selection of new and used records, with some real treasures on display.
The guy working there was super friendly and chatted to a visiting Brit for ages, giving me loads of local recommendations.
Joey Flores
Great place. Been a few time and even when I didn't find exactly what I was looking for, there is such a great selection i still ended up picking something up.

If you like PUNK and music of the genre this place is for you. Catered mainly to the scene. Most of I had never even heard of. Other than that don't expect to see too many Doobie Brothers or Richard Pryor albums. Still giving 5 stars cause the place is still awesome. Lots of records and tapes with other odds and ends. Didn't catch his name but the owner or employee was very friendly. I would still stop in again next time in Seattle to see what was new.
Richard Springer
I spent a lot of money really quickly here. That's a good sign! If you are into punk or metal, this store is what you need. Nice varied selection, reasonable prices, and a few patches, pins, and t-shirts. Plus, they have a case of cassettes and a couple hundred vhs tapes of random and rare scuzzy movies.
Brian Russell
Wow!!! A great selection of punk, hardcore , metal, and everything in between. The guy behind the counter is super knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to talk to.He is not judgemental because he seems to love all of the music. If you go in there looking for something specific you might not find it but if you go in there and don't find something you like you probably don't even like a music.

Looking for a good record store? I was, and found this little gem in the heart of Belltown. VHS tapes, pins, patches, buttons, and all sorts of awesomeness packed into a tiny little shop. Don't miss this one if you enjoy music.
Rob Spencer
Great punk rock record store. Great selection and awesome prices. Cant wait to go back next time i am in Seattle. Got a great Manic Hispanic 7 inch and a bunch of other vinyl.
Vodka Twist
Great indie record store with lots of reissues and classics. It has a ton of punk, hardcore, crust, etc but you'll also find rockabilly, psych, goth, jazz, ska and reggae. The last time I went there I grabbed a reissue of a classic Fall record, a Siouxsie and the Banshees at the BBC import and a used Gene Autrey record. If you're looking for the Velvet Underground or Stooges on vinyl either used or new - chances are they have it or can order it for you. If you're looking for a vintage Sub-Pop 45 you can browse their collection. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and fun to talk to.

Went into the shop on a whim and had an excellent experience. Was greeted as soon as I came in! Prices were good, selection and variety were good as well, just didn't find what I was looking for so didn't end up picking anything up, but the gentleman working was super nice and cool and made sure I was good the whole time I was in the store. Will definitely be going back when I'm in the area.
Keith Cote
Medium sized vinyl shop in the Belltown neighborhood. The vinyl selection here seems to be weighted more towards the punk and metal side if that is your thing, but you can also find some other new and classic rock albums mixed in there as well.
Trevor Lagler
This is one of the best record stores I have been in for everything punk!
shotgun seamstress
Great used selection. I found a 20 year old issue of MRR with Bikini Kill, Nation of Ulysses and Screeching Weasel interviews in it for only a buck! Good used vinyl and tape selection. Byron was friendly and helpful. Lots of punk pins. I spent like $25 bucks and left with a bag full of cool old school punk stuff.
Michael Samson
Best record store in Seattle (if you're into Punk/SKA/Hardcore/etc)!

Classic old school Seattle record store. Tons of punk, crust, metal and classic albums. Lots of VHS, old zines, great stuff. Lots of personality. Love it.

Keat Shankle
Great place for punk and death metal. Not much else. Felt let down. And the guy working was more interested in the the female shopping, than the other three groups of people.
