Silver platters is one of my favorite record stores, they always have such an amazing selection with reasonably priced products and a great store layout! Some of the other record stores in Seattle especially feel really pretentious and unwelcoming but at all silver platters locations I’ve always felt welcome and comfortable being there!! Every staff member I’ve met have been super kind and always give great recommendations of artists to check out and local events happening!

Excellent Record Store!!! We went on Record Store Day. It is very large and has every type of music you could imagine. New and used items. Prices are reasonable. Vinyl, cassettes, CDs, DVD and Blu Ray (& 3D), books - you name it, they've got it. They also purchase good quality items if you're looking to sell. Parking is a bit limited. Enter off 1st Ave - not Occidental Wy if you want to find a spot in the lot. If you don't find one, drive straight through to Occidental and park in back. Staff was friendly and helpful. The store is very organized and clean. There is literally something for everyone there! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 O(+> Prince4Ever 💜💜💜

Way bigger than you think pulling up! This place just keeps going and going. Easily the most extensive collection of multimedia (CDs, cassettes, vinyl, etc.) I have ever seen in a resale spot. I look forward to adding SP into my regularly visited locations in the Seattle area.

Probably my favorite record/movie shop in the Pacific Northwest. They have the best prices (try 3.99 for most movies) and a large selection of vinyl and cds. Also, their rewards program is great.

I love the staff here. They know the shop like the back of their hands, despite its ginormous size for a modern record shop. I only come in every few months or so (if that), and even still almost every time I do visit, an employee will recognize me and remember some of the CDs I had bought the last time I'd come in. Being a young petite woman, I sometimes I get a bit sketched out in places like this. Not here. As soon as I walk in the door I remember why it feels safer than other places. Their employees are very attentive to the vast rows of music they have for sale, and always give me the vibe that they would immediately take care of things if anyone tried something with anyone. This place is seriously my favorite music store of all time, they always have an enormous selection at any given time and a super helpful and comforting staff.

Great record shop. They have a great selection of new and used records, new and used DVDs, new and used books, and new and used CDs. They also do contests to win vinyls and CDs as well as in store signings and concerts too. It's easy to get lost and spend some money in here and to walk away with a lot of goodies to keep you entertained.

They have a great selection of new and used music, movies, and even books. The staff are friendly and are not just workers but fans, so have a lot of knowledge. They have a good selection of foreign and 3d movies which is what brings me here most. They only drawback is that sometimes new items are very expensive. But if you buy used you will make up for this.

Oh my gosh this store is my absolute favorite store in Seattle. It is a blast from the past walking in here. You can buy any music you like in almost any format and have a staff member tell you a story about it as well! Used and new music presented in correct sections by genre, country, etc. You find yourself getting lost in its history while hovering over a section in an aisle. Gigantic wonderful warehouse space, nice staff. Great great music at excellent prices. So much fun . . .

My favorite record store in Seattle. Tremendous selection of both CDs and Vinyl, plus movies and an eclectic section of used books. Their 'used' inventory alone is a treasure trove of old favorites and obscure releases you'd never find on Amazon. The staff is wonderful and a joy to chat with. Just today an employee waded through the Record Store Day crowds with me to help locate an album I couldn't find. I only wish I lived closer so I could visit more often. Ever consider a Gig Harbor location? 😂

The only drawback to this place is it's location in the heart of sodo. It's ginormous and stacked wall to wall with media. One of the largest new and used CD and DVD collections in Seattle and boasts a decent used book selection as well. The guy at the checkout is hilarious. Overall this is a well organized spot where you're pretty much guaranteed to find something you're after.

All I can say is WHAT A GREAT PLACE. I had the pleasure of speaking with Thom for a brief moment and I'm definitely going to be back. The customer service is SUPERB and the vinyl is in IMPECCABLE condition. However, they do not have public restrooms and I almost peed my pants. That is the only downside. Other than that it was a 10/10 experience.

It's an old warehouse that continues being a WAREHOUSE! 10' s of thousands if not millions of CD's, DVD's, Blue Ray, Vinyl Records Old and New, Memorabilia of old or new, and other items, including turntables for sale with USB connectors to transfer your collection to digital storage...this is where you want to be...unless you got to go! Yeah, this place has NO PUBLIC BATHROOMS. I swear they play subliminal sounds to make you want to Go...as in PEE! It also plays music IN THAT SUBLIMINAL SOUNDS TRACK, from Classics to Grunge/Techno babble while you shop. You can find some of your old classic nuggets, new? or used at a fair price. I found a couple of Glass Harmonica albums of classical music some written for this instrument by Mozart. This instrument was even played by Benjamin Franklin. Hearing one played live 30 yrs ago was outstanding! Come spend your money and earn points to take off money on future albums. Sometimes it great to purchase an album and then find you have points to pay for the album complete! Three places in Puget Sound, this being the largest! Enjoy the searching, exhault on finding, excel on the playing in your house or your car on the way home... I do!

Had a lot of fun shopping the stock of LPs and 45s. A lot of surprises mixed in the bins so don’t hesitate to spend some time and flip thru everything.
