Best shop on the West Coast! Jay, Trevor, and the ECG crew always treat me like family and have taken amazing care of me and my guitars. They're always enthusiastic and warm, but never pushy about sales. The gear they have is amazing and you can always buy with peace of mind knowing they've vetted every component of their vintage gear collection. My last purchase was this nearly immaculate all original '63 ES-330. Could not believe they had this gem and couldn't leave without it! If you like guitars, definitely swing by the shop if you're anywhere near Seattle!

Wonderful experience when visiting! I had visited twice since I was in Seattle and both times, the staff were super kind and helpful! I was of course not looking to buy anything, instead trying to check out the inventory and made it clear to the staff that this was so, yet they still were accommodating as though I was. The first day I came, I wasn’t even aware I needed to make an appointment, but I was still able to come in and check out the guitars, and eventually got setup through a rig and guitar. Very thankful for Joe in helping me get setup as well, with enthusiasm that made me feel very homely inside the shop. Someday, I’ll come back when I can actually give money to a great guitar store like this!

Took 3 guitars is for evaluation and appraisal. Worked with Trevor Boone. ECG appears to deal a lot of guitars and know the guitar trading business well. They have a dynamic range on all types of guitars, based on their high trading volume I will try and visit there site often as it is regularly updated. The in person experience is really good. They make you feel welcome, leave you alone if you want that and give solid advice if you want to try and sell your guitar on consignment. No frills, no new world vibes - just lots of guitars, new and near new too. Their sketchy location should not keep you from paying them a visit. Friendly, helpful and , most of all, knowledgeable. Gave me a good deal and I upgraded my Taylor 314ce on the spot for a 914ce and avoided having to wait to sell on consignment. Thanks Trevor, it was a pleasure doing business with you!

In Seattle for a family vacation and had to visit this store. Incredibly nice, courteous and helpful staff here. Tons of great guitars and amps across a wide budget range. My wife and son were with me and sneakily bought me a T-shirt. At the end of my visit I asked to buy a T-shirt and provided the staff member my size. He said they had sold out of that size and more were coming later in the week. He was in on it, family gave me the shirt that night as a gift. What a great experience for everyone. Came back the next day (sans family) to spend more time with a few guitars. Again the staff was really helpful and knowledgeable and I ended up coming away with a great ‘96 Fender Custom Shop Strat. Can’t wait for it to land at my house in a few days. This is the read deal for what a guitar shop should be.

Best place to find that one of a kind sound. The people here are super helpful and friendly. All the best guitarists go here for a reason. :)

You have to schedule an appointment ahead of time, cause of Covid! Everyone was very knowledgeable, and also all working on guitars at different stations at the time, so no sales associate followed me around the whole time!!! Which was cool! Lots of cool, expensive guitars! Played an amazing R9 (1959 reissue) Les Paul.

Best guitar place I’ve ever been to. Great staff, super friendly. and a huge selection of guitars, amps, and pedals- new and vintage. Got a pickup installed into my acoustic guitar and every other store would’ve taken 2+ weeks, but they finished the installation in just 1 day! This store would be my first recommendation to anyone in Seattle!

Had an issue with a guitar, but they refunded it right away without making me wait. I can appreciate an honest and fair guitar shop. I've been to their store in-person a few times and they have an amazing selection with nice employees.

10/10 all-time shop that should be protected and preserved forever. Rarely do you find a shop so accommodating and helpful with such an impressive inventory. Incredibly kind and helpful employees and knowledge to boot. I came looking to compare some vintage amps and had the pleasure of exploring this 1973 HIWATT. Everyone was more than generous and patient. Go here to buy your next piece of gear, it will be worth it.

Everybody who wants to be anybody buys their instruments here. Stars too numerous to list shop here. But what makes it better than the rest is the staff. They find you the instrument best for you. I love this store.
