Wonderfully jam packed music store. Awesome selection and excited to come back. Tons of staff continuously checked to see if we needed help and they were very friendly. This store has a lot of sheet music and instruments you can purchase or rent. If you need any music products I would recommend coming here! They even have a repair center.

Riverton music is great, large selection of guitars and other instruments. Davis Grove was super knowledgeable on guitars. He gave me the pros and cons of different styles, manufacturers and helpful tips for my style. Bought myself a very nice Taylor acoustic guitar. Spent $700, went home smiling and excited to play !!

We wanted to buy a piano so my kids and I could take lessons. We choose to go into Riverton Music and are so happy we did! Alan spent so much time explaining the difference in the various electric pianos and the technology behind why they sounded the way they did. He helped compare those to acoustic pianos so we could make the best decision for our family. There was absolutely no pressure from him to make a purchase. Music books seem to be reasonably priced. Riverton Music and Keith are amazing! Keith saved my trombone! My slide was dinged, my crooks were leaking, my water key was leaking, and my case was damaged. Keith repaired my trombone that was above and beyond, and then some! Keith repaired my trombone slide, and case in just one day! Keith was so nice, and he also has taken such good care of me as his customer. He does an outstanding, amazing job, and he takes so much pride in his work. In addition, Keith and the entire Riverton staff are so honest, and friendly. The don't overprice on repairs, like so many music stores do! They do the best job that one could ask for, and nobody can beat their prices!

As soon as we walked into the shop Alan was available to help us test out pianos. He was so helpful in pointing out the features of each piano. He wasn’t a typical pushy salesmen and we felt like he genuinely wanted us to get the best deal and the best fit for us. The buying process was smooth and efficient. We were walking out the door with the piano we chose in less than ten minutes. He told us about the amazing trade in policy they have. You can trade in your piano at anytime during five years and use the value to buy a new piano. We love this shop and will definitely be going back here for any music needs.

I have wanted a piano in my house for years, but I have never taken the initiative to get one. When I called Riverton music to inquire about their piano inventory, Stephen was so helpful and kind that my husband and I decided to go in person that evening to look at the pianos. Stephen helped us for an hour and a half (bless him!), and was amazingly patient as well as talented. He let us play each piano, told us it's history, and gave us advice on what kind of pianos would work best for us. If you're looking for a piano, this is the only place you need to go because Stephen will help you like you are part of his family, and he'll make sure you have something to make your house feel more like home.

I've made two major purchases at Riverton Music in Sandy. The first was a violin repair. I had an old violin I had inherited and it was not in working condition. I took it to Leo, their repair technician, and he knew just what to do and even gave me a rough estimate of how much the violin was worth. I was very pleased with his work and enjoyed that Leo had a good sense of humor. The violin repair was completed on time and the violin is still working great. The second major purchase was a piano. The price was very reasonable and the piano movers did a great job. They set it up for us properly and did complete work. I have been pleased with how friendly the staff are. They have always been helpful in finding what I'm looking for. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone!

No other guitar stores would allow us to play the guitars before purchasing, and no other guitar stores had a salesman as passionate or informative! If you want a guitar and you're not sure what you're looking for yet, definitely give this place a try. They have many different price ranges and payment options, and they're very patient with you. 10/10

I had a saxophone that I needed to get fixed and this was the best experience ever! It was very obvious where to go as soon as I walked into the store. The man fixing instruments was very friendly and was very honest with how much it would cost. He said it would be done in a few days and it was done exactly 3 days later. I felt like it was a fair price and I felt like I was leaving my prized instrument in good hands. It now works perfectly and he even gave me some advice on how to keep it in great condition. I was very impressed. I have bought music here in the past and they have a great selection. If they don't have something specific, ask and chances are they'll be able to find it for you.

ALL the staff here have extensive knowledge on musical instruments, music, amplifiers, and everything that music entails. Everybody is incredibly helpful there for beginners, intermediate, and advanced musicians. They're sound room is fun and amazing, and they always let me practice piano in the piano room.

I am so impressed with Riverton Music, especially Alan! I purchased a piano from them this past Spring in Salt Lake, but due to moving across the state to St. George, wasn't able to have it delivered for a few months. They were very accommodating and worked around my moving schedule. They delivered it to my St. George home and did a beautiful job getting it set up. I called Alan after my piano had been in our home several weeks to have it tuned and a few minor things fixed. They sent a local technician, who isn't employed by Riverton Music, but it's my understanding he has done work for them in the past. (They would have sent one of their employed techs, but I am several hundred miles from any of their stores.) He tuned my piano and got the other minor problems repaired. A week or so later a couple of keys were having issues, and weren't functioning properly. I called Alan again and explained that if they ever had a technician coming through St. George, I would really like for them to look at my piano. Alan wanted to make sure I was taken care of. He flew one of his technicians, Phil to fix the problems I was having and Phil tuned my piano. I am blown away that they would do this for me. This is a top notch company that really cares about their customers! I am more than impressed with them and I am so grateful they have really cared about me and my concerns. I will recommend to anyone who is looking to purchase a piano, to definitely go to Riverton Music.

I'm not one to write reviews, but I was BLOWN AWAY!!! As a brand-new piano teacher, I have been trying to determine which level books to purchase on behalf of my students. I called Riverton Music so I could figure some things out before driving over, and one of the workers, Sierra answered. First of all, Sierra was incredibly joyful and kind! But on top of that, she took the time to go grab some of the books, flip through and describe them to me, and let me talk through what levels I think we will need. FURTHERMORE, her knowledge is on point! I was between two levels, and she mentioned to me that if I go with the higher level, there is a review of previous levels on the front flap of the Faber books. I am incredibly impressed -- to the point that I emailed the manager! Go to Riverton Music for your piano teaching needs!!!! They will take great care of you!

I've only been in shopping once and it was just for pianos. Steve was very helpful. Only 4 starts because I didn't get a chance to evaluate any of their other services or do any price comparisons. When we walked in, the worker at the front desk immediately welcomed us and asked how he could help us. He directed us to Steve, who was the right salesman for our needs.

This is a good place to get music and instrument supplies, but their main focus is selling pianos, as well as other instruments. They try to keep their music well- stocked, but there is usually one book that is missing in my list of needed books. I am finding more and more frequently this is a common problem with most music stores who have to compete with online shopping. They have friendly staff who are always willing to help with any questions and are knowledgeable. They do have an instrument repair shop. They have a recital hall with a small stage and a grand piano. Overall, this is a good resource for music supplies.

I do business with Riverton Music both for school and personal use. When I choose a music store I'm looking for a few specific things. Riverton delivers - here's some detail. Rentals - kids get good service before, during, and after the sale. The instruments are high quality, well maintained, and in stock. They carry everything I teach - orchestral strings, band instruments, and guitars. Repairs - the Riverton repair staff does great work, and they do it quickly at low price. They pick-up instruments from my school and bring them back in working order, and then they help process the paperwork. It's very awesome. Accessories - their prices are decent and their supplies are well stocked. Method Books - they have a great selection on hand. My only dissatisfaction has been ordering in large ensemble sheet music, i.e: full band and orchestra arrangements and compositions. Riverton offers a good discount, but the turn-around is VERY slow. I think they order through a secondary vendor, which means you have to wait for Riverton to process it, then the secondary vendor, and if the secondary vendor doesn't have it, the publisher. It's slow, so for that one thing, I buy out of state. For everything else, Rentals, Method Books, Accessories, and Repairs, Riverton is my first choice on the Wasatch front.

I often hold my studio recitals here. It’s right off the freeway, there is plenty of room for the audience, the pianos are excellent and in tune, and there is no outside noise from the music store or other lessons being taught. I wish the parking lot was bigger, plan to carpool for recitals in the evening, or park in carpool parking nearby. Stephen and Alan are very helpful and accommodating for scheduling and help with the pianos. They always hold all the books I need for my students and myself, if they don’t they’ll order them!

There is really only one issue I have with this place; they rent out their concert hall for recitals etc. but there in not nearly enough parking for such occasions. As a result people are double parked or block others in. It is a hazard. The store and the staff are great otherwise. Certainly a place I would shop next time I'm in the market for something musical.

We entered the store and a friendly greeter asked how she could help. I told her we were looking at digital pianos. She pointed us to the pianos and said she’d call someone to help us. In less than a minute we met Stephen Kato. He not only explained features to my nearly teen son and me, but played beautifully while demonstrating sound, pedals and feel. He was not pushy or dismissive; his style of assistance was just right. I had planned to check out another store, but was so pleased with the Roland piano and Stephen that I felt comfortable going forward with my our purchase. His attentiveness continued through the sales process. Later, I received an email from him with additional information, as promised. I would not hesitate to shop at the Sandy location again. I also highly recommend seeking Stephen for assistance.
