Best music store around! I drive in from Utah county and pass a few music stores along the way just to go to this one. The staff are amazing and helpful. Their music selection is awesome. They have a clearance section, books on how to teach and how music effects the brain etc. They have the best priced binding around. I am always going here over other places.

Awesome selection of blue grass books with and without CD. I found this great blue grass style book which they spiral bound for me for a small fee. HUGE selection of sheet music for a variety of instruments. The Day Violins is right next door which features a window into the luthier shop. So charming!

There is no better music store anywhere! Growing up in Murray, I have never had a bad experience with Day Murray Music. Wonderful staff, incredible selection of music for all instruments and choral. Coming home for Thanksgiving and having need of a practice room they were more than happy to accommodate our needs. If you love music and/or need help with your stringed instruments, a practice room or just love to for through all the sheet music, this is truly the place to go!! Thank you Day Murray Music!!

Has been remodeled since my last visit a few years ago. Store has new section displaying violins and guitars. Staff was friendly and knew exactly where to find what I wanted. They have large supply of sheet music and method books. Pleased with my experience there. Recommend highly.

I love Day Murray Music! I have always done my music shopping there! I taught piano lessons for years and I consistently sent my students to purchase their piano books there. They always had what was needed in stock and if for some reason they were out, they ordered immediately and it came in quickly. This store is by far the very best place to go for music. They have the widest variety around and if they don't have it, they will help you find it!! I started teaching piano in the Salt Lake Area last February. There’s a lot of things to consider when starting a studio in a new place, like pricing, policy, schedule. One thing that was really easy for me was deciding where to put my studio: Day Murray Music! Not only does it have a wonderful music collection and online repository for when you just need that specific piece for a student, the staff is always helpful and cheerful and put their customers first. Whenever I need something, they're on top of it! On a more personal note, I've been shopping there for over a decade. I'm good friends with Jared Day, as well as many of the staff. Every time I visit (which is basically daily!), I have a wonderful experience. We have a lot of good times! Back to business, they have a wonderful recital space with two grand pianos, making it great for both duets and bigger pieces like concertos. It is exciting for my students to pick which piano they like best to play on for their recital. Day Murray Music has so many talented teachers, as well, for several musical instruments. The teaching studios are always busy. I've met so many great people while teaching here. Day Murray Music is an honest, hard working local business and they deserve every support.

This morning I called looking for a specific book. When I was told that it was in stock, I asked if it could be bound before I picked it up. When I arrived, less than 15 minutes later, Jared walked over to the counter and had the book sitting right there, all ready to go, before I could even finish my sentence! I have been coming here for years, while my daughters have played piano, viola & cello. The service here is always great! I prefer a local store much more than Amazon. If they don’t have the item I need, they order it and call me when it arrives. Plus, I noticed that they will bring your prepaid orders right out to your car.

The store is well stocked with sheet music and is the home of a violin maker, Adam Day, who is well respected among the orchestral community. I highly recommend Day Murray Music!

We love Day Murray Music! We have been coming here for all the best sheet music for the last 10 years. They always have what we need or are willing to order it in for us. They even ordered in a special electric ukulele that I wanted for my birthday a few years ago. They are the absolute best place to find Christmas music or music for performances, and for almost any instrument or voice. They have great workshops on the weekends that are offered for a low price or sometimes even free from amazing guest artists and teachers. The recital hall is excellent and we have never had a problem scheduling a recital and all we have always heard the most positive comments about the venue. And they actually keep their pianos tuned! We have had many experiences reserving a recital hall and then finding out in the middle of performances that one piano is very out of tune or broken. No worries here. It is always set up with plenty of chairs and they help you if you need anything. You don't have to figure it all out on your own. If you are looking for awesome music teachers, their education house hosts so many wonderful teachers. Our kids have taken guitar and violin lessons here for many years and we have met many other awesome teachers that teach voice, piano, ukulele and more. A great thing about their music store is that they have a small kids play area that kids love to go in so you can shop for music stress free. They also have a piano that you can try out any music before you buy. This is really helpful so you aren't purchasing a bunch of music and then go home and find out it didn't sound that great. Day Murray is also great as a local business that supports local artists. We have so many talented local composers, arrangers and musicians, and so many bring their music directly to Day Murray Music. Ohand I didn't even mention how they can spiral bind anything you want for a low fee. No more music books falling apart or having to be taped back together. They have cute little music games and decorations, music stands, capos, ukuleles, guitars, harmonicas, bags, just about anything to make a fun gift for someone who loves music. We are pretty lucky to have such a great local resource here in Utah. Not every state or area offers a place that has so much sheet music available and things to help you become more musical. I'm glad to support Day Murray Music and recommend it as the main go to place for sheet music and lesson books.

I have purchased most of my children's music and most of their instruments (all different instruments) from Day Murray Music. We have experienced wonderful, if not over the top customer service and have always found what we are looking for. If they don't have what we need in stock, we have never waited for more than a week before it arrives. Over the last couple of years I have found three separate amazing music teachers for each of my children (each child playing a different instrument) in the upstairs teaching studios. My children are all progressing quite nicely and I couldn't be more pleased. The teachers will hold music recitals in the Arlette Day Cultural Centre which is directly below the teaching studios and attached to the north side of the Day Murray Music building but it has a separate entrance. As a very busy mom with three children involved in multiple activities, having sheet music, beautiful instruments for purchase, a variety of outstanding teachers and a recital hall in one space is very convenient! Thank you! That said, I do wish that the space where the recitals are held could be brought up to date and more on the modern side. I have so many wonderful videos and pictures of my children performing and in all of my videos and pictures there is a huge wooden door with a glaring exit sign above their head. For starters, may I suggest a black stage curtain to spread the width of the stage? It would allow the performer to stand out and be the focal point against a simple, yet sophisticated back drop . Just a thought. :)

I can always find what I’m looking for, and if not, an employee is always friendly and willing to order my items. I love the small, toy-filled nook for children to occupy themselves as I browse the aisles of music. This is the perfect place for anyone who loves music and learning musical instruments. I am usually able to find exactly what I'm looking for and a little more. They have a great selection of the violin, viola, cello, and piano music. They have each instrument and ensemble sorted well so they are easy to find, and they are always ready to help find something if you can't. When I strayed away from strings and piano music and got a penny whistle, they had a book to learn that as well. It's in a great location and right next to Adam Day Violins, so I can take my instruments there to keep them in great shape. The staff is always willing to help and recommend great music. I have been buying piano sheet music here for over thirty years—for me and my five children. Recently four of my five adult children have expressed a renewed interest in playing the piano (one after swearing ten years ago she would never touch a piano again because she hated practicing). I also have seven grandchildren who want to learn to play the piano. I passed on some of the technic books to the next generation, but wanted new and fresh pieces for the adults and one teenaged granddaughter. They also have a huge section for choir music and for seasonal music too. Their employees are all knowledgeable—especially Jared. Very helpful. They really know their business. I usually have the books bound there because it just takes a few minutes and is very reasonable. They have an amazing selection and can order almost anything else you want or need. Items arrive quickly. They have recently remodeled their strings section. They have a practice room and a concert hall. I like their central location. Their parking lot can get full on Saturdays because this is the place to get music!

If you are a ward or stake choir music director, make sure you join their Choral Club. You can thank me later... In addition, they have a large selection instrumental and piano music. They even have a violin Luther (Adam Day), in house, with Day’s Violins. Day Murray Music has the music selection, musical experience and from what I have observed, very low employee turnover. I love the recital hall at Day Murray Music. I have held 10 piano recitals here and appreciate that there are 2 grand pianos on the stage. The seating is comfortable and the acoustics are good. They have a great selection of piano and instrumental music, and the violin shop has helped restore several violins for my family. We have been using Day Murray Music for many years for piano music and when my youngest decided to forge her own path and take violin lessons- we didn't know where to start. Day Murray was there to help us with everything from what violin to purchase to finding her music. Naturally this is also the child who grew like a weed and in 2 years sized up 4 violins. The process of trading in her violin for a size up has been easy because the staff at Day Murray are so knowledgeable and eager to help. They have a HUGE selection of sheet music and other musical necessities. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They give music lessons upstairs and it is a great place to just browse.

I love DMM! I’ve gone there for years for piano music for myself and my students and to get great pieces for choir and they always have what I need and more. I started violin lessons in the fall and although I got my violin somewhere else years ago I took it to DMM for new strings and a tune up. They were amazing! So helpful with all my questions. They also helped me find a chin rest that works so much better for me. When I went in to get a guitar for Christmas it was fate! I was lucky enough to find an incredible guitar teacher as well! I LOVE my Teton guitar! It sounds amazing and learning to play is the best. I also recently purchased two Teton ukuleles at DMM and the staff was so helpful in finding the music, cases and stands I needed to go with them. You can basically find anything and everything you need at DMM. It’s almost as awesome as going to Disneyland and that’s saying a lot for me. Thanks for being so darn fantastic DMM!!! Their staff knows everything from guitars to violins to ukuleles to piano and choral music. As a choir director, DMM is the only place I go for choral music. Their selection for sacred and secular music is vast with many different voicings to choose from, and what they don’t have they can quickly order in. They hold choral readings four times a year to suggest beautiful sacred songs so if you are a new director and need help finding songs, this is a great service. They also hold classes on things like organ playing, music leading, and so many others. My daughter started piano lessons a year ago and DMM has all the various series‘ of piano books Her teacher wants her to use, and lots of popular songs and Disney songs in varying levels so there is always something fun to play. I highly recommend Day Murray Music, a family owned business. They will satisfy your needs and take wonderful care of you while you are there.

A fun music shop for any instrument. This has been my music store since I first started learning piano. They've got a wide variety of music from classic artists through today's pop singers. They have a variety of solos, duets, etc for any instrument you can think of. They also have a concert hall that my teacher used for piano recitals when I was a kid. If you're looking for something they probably have it or can order it in from somewhere. The organization is a little tricky but the excellent staff will help you find anything you need. Just ask!
