This is the type of record store you should be looking for when shopping vinyl. Friendly and knowledgeable owner, with a nice selection of both used and new. Used vinyl follows a clear grading system that is posted on the wall. Prices were reasonable at worst and great at best. Will certainly return next time I'm in town!

Bob's records are so clean his "as is" records are in better shape than most NM records in other stores. I love that I can go in there and talk about music. Other stores around town just have a pretentious dude behind the counter that is too cool to talk about the music he is selling. I love Enterprise. Long live real record stores!

A nicely organized record store with all genres and fair prices! All records are graded (unmarked means mint/near-mint condition), so you know what you’re buying. The owner Bob will play anything for you if you want to be doubly sure! A must-go if you want records in the Portland area!

This place really gives you that classic record store vibe. With vinyl being played over the store speakers and an owner with knowledge ranging from classics to the more obscure you'll definitely find something to leave with. Pricing is also fair and accurate based on other places ive seen around and online. All in all a great little record shop.

I've been to all of the stores that sell records in Portland. (Record stores being separate BTW) Enterprise is consistently good, and I think part of the reason is, they literally actually look at everything they sell. They may not have the largest selection, but, their selection is solid and in great condition. I have never gotten the feeling that their selection was, "picked". The guys there are also great to talk to. It's a must stop when waking up and down Congress looking for records.

One-of-a-kind record store. A fixture in Portland for decades, this place was cool before records were cool. If you aren't sure whether you will like a record, just ask and Bob will give it a spin on one of the house turntables.

A store for record collectors. To get the most for an experience being here I suggest knowing what it is you want. Personally I wasn't thrilled at the selection for metal or more obscure records. Mostly because it was like pulling teeth talking to the owner to know what they had. His employee was a saint!

Terrific hidden gem in Portland - all vinyl, great selection, lots of helpful notes and organization born of a genuine love for music, really in-depth knowledge from the people working there. I was hoping to find one volume in a compilation series, and he just pulls a box set of the entire thing out of the back room. Amazing!

Good selection of records, with great prices. Its always a pleasure to talk to Bob. He's been doing this a very long time.

Stopped by while in town on a business trip. Nice selection of vintage vinyl with a lot of great titles. Prices where very reasonable and I picked up a few gems that were very clean and in beautiful condition.

Found a record I had been coveting for a few years. Also they had some really killer blues remasters that I didnt even know existed. The owner turned me on to an excellent artist I had never heard of. Great shop highly recommend.

This is the fifth location for Portland's longest surviving used record store (since 1987). (Full disclosure, I worked here for about a year in the 90s, and I consider the owner and staff to be personal friends.) Located in an odd little storefront just off Congress Street, this is the smallest of the locations. This is sort of good, because the stock can be all killer, no filler. The small space makes it impossible to display all available stock, so be sure to ask if you are looking for something in particular!Enterprise deals strictly in 12 inch L.P.s. No CDs, tapes 45s or 78s. You may see an occasional 10 inch ep, but never a shaped record or picture disc. Enterprise has spoiled me for other record stores, because they mostly stock only dead mint condition records. Anything less then mint is identified by a note on the plastic sleeve. Go ahead, take a look! The staff will gladly play any record for you. The stock changes quickly, so if you find something you want, buy it now! This isn't a fancy record store with coffee or, uh, a glass floor or whatever, just a place to buy and talk about records.

I had brand new records unopened, he didn’t want any of them. Wouldn’t even look at them. However this is still a decent vinyl shop, I’d rate it a 3 or 4👍🙂 …

When I discovered Enterprise Records, they happened to be the last stop on my record runs because that is how it fell geographically. Now, no matter what, they are my first stop. Don't miss this destination - great selection, great grading, even better staff.

Pretty good but small selection. Owner (I’d assume) can be a little intense and could use a little better customer service.
