I got some history with this place!
I remember when I was a kid I first saw EB at a flea market. I bought some games and to this day I still own and occasionally play the particular ones I purchased.
Years later I was in late high school and came across their city location. I was blown away by how cool the store looked! We had a fun interaction too as I was able to identify some Pokémon from cardboard cutouts the owner recently acquired.
I went back a couple times recently too as I bought an interesting game from them that ended up not working well. But he was able to help me figure something out in the end.
Thank you so much Mike (I think that's the owner's name) for always being there throughout the years! EB has always a nice place to visit whenever I've been able to. I wish you the best man!

Excellent shop! Love the variety and love that's clearly been poured into this place. Such fun nostalgia. Feels very playful.

They had a nice collection of cassettes at(in my honest opinion) a fair price. Be mindful that the cassettes sold here aren’t boring and mundane classical music or dime a dozen country tapes. They sell metal and hip hop and classic rock cassettes for $3-25 which on discogs is a very fair price. I bought an Eazy-E cassette for $16 which I was excited to see. All cassettes appeared to be in superb physical condition. Worth to check out and don’t be afraid to ask questions because for instance they actually sell 8Tracks

What a great shop! One of the key spots that gives Portland its character. The management is extremely cool and brings all the best stuff into the place. Vinyl, sounds systems, old video games, hip decorations and shirts, and much more on offer.
Everytime I walk in, they're always playing something amazing I don't know on the record player. There's a great retro arcade cabinet and tons of cool stuff everywhere. You owe it to yourself to drop in!

A good place to check out some records and old games. There's an amount of humor to how they categorize their vinyl, which may make it a little hard if you are looking for anything specific, but let's be honest, look through everything. Friendly, lo-fi store.

Where Nostalgia Rules.
Crammed into this 'Curiousity Shop', you'll find a variety of vintage collectibles, including vinyl records, cassettes, retro video games and game consoles, one-of-a-kind tee shirts, posters, toys, buttons, badges, and more. The owner and employees are knowledgeable and friendly. The store is located just off Congress Street (look for a sandwich sign on the corner).

Pretty good range of records here. The place shines when you look at their audio hardware. The prices and condition of their equipment is very good. It's one of the few places in Portland where you can get good vintage or modern audio equipment including turntables. The vinyl prices are a little all over the place given their rarity. Some are great, some not so much, but you will find some damn decent gems in there.

The owner took time to test out a used turntable and explained the features before selling it to us. He is incredibly knowledgeable about high fidelity components and showed us an antique turntable that he is repairing with a custom part on order from Germany. He had some tape decks and upper end receivers as well. And the selection of vinyl records was incredible. We will definitely be back next time we are in Portland.

One of the more interesting record shops. Their way of organizing records is certainly a cool concept, but I failed to find anything that fit my taste. 3 stars, for the good music, cool concept and selection of used players and such.

This place is awesome! They mostly have vinyl and CDs, but have a lot of video game stuff as well, particularly pokemon--figurines, cards, models, FOOD (yes, pokemon food.), etc. GO HERE while you're in Portland!

Atmosphere is fun but as a gamer I do not reccomend this place, all games were higher than the price I normally find them at and it leaves me to wonder how long they let them sit there until they realize that the price is crap
