absolutely love this place. i went in looking for a new guitar and the owner helped so much! he was one of the sweetest guys ive met. if you’re a beginner like i am you should definitely step on by. he will inform you and help you in every way possible. going back to buy more equipment and vinyls and get guitar lessons there! nice place.

I've been going to his store since I was 15. Even when it was at another location. Pat is a really nice guy and is always willing to help you. If he doesn't have it he will try to either order it for you or tell you where to go and get it.

I worked there for 11 years starting in 1990. The store was opened in 1927 by Pasquale (Pat or affectionately known as "Papa D) Domanicos' father. They are the greatest & friendliest people in the world. If you need anything music talk to Bobby. If you can't find what you are looking for Bobby is the guy you want on the job. He is known to find music that other places fall short. He is a genius with music. If you are looking for musical instruments and accessories or Dj equipment, you will definitely want to talk to Pat Jr. The man has been selling and Repairing things for years. He knows his stuff. Looking back I have to say they were some of the best days of my life.

Awesome mom and pop music store. Been around a long time. Same guy has been running it forever. The only spot to go. Update: has not changed one bit. It's a northeast stable, hands down the only music place to go to in the area. It's been here two generations, and there is a reason for that. Not a thing has changed. Bob is the best, and I'll support this store all day. He doesn't look at people and see a buck. He's genuine, and so is his store.

Exceptional staff and service. This place is a Mayfair treasure, truly run by folks passionate about music and their business. They fixed up my 25 year old electric guitar and she's singing like new again. VERY fair prices; I can't recommend them enough. This is the place to go.

Pat's music, There is not enough I can say about the store and owner! Life long BUSINESS hurt by a city that NO LONGER CARES ABOUT FAMILY BUSINESS , pats music is still standing. Hi everybody I'm adding to my review of Pat's music desperately seeking the guitar I found this beauty by Bobby and I am extremely happy the only thing I changed on it was the coverings for the lower pickup and a covering on the potentiometer and switch cover the action is sweet in better shape than one of his consignment guitars Bobby suggested this and I've been very happy I compared this one to the one on the shelf and this is more outstanding I had a chance to go other places I was looking for something else and Bobby pointed this out to me from what I understand this is Bobby's personal instrument it was well cut the neck is in great shape no static when I turn the knobs over all great guitar this is why it is worth it to go to the neighborhood place to get to know the owner support a business like this even if it means buying a pack of strings even if it means buying a poster Bobby's got a great collection great teachers he's got a great personality an overall he trusted me when I didn't have a dime in my pocket I'm not saying he does that for everybody but I appreciate that it's a little things that make the biggest difference after buying this the area where the guitars hang at I made it just for that also don't forget to check out the beautiful guitars he's got on consignment also Bobby's got this beautiful Gibson over there check that out! I remember that field guitars in need of repair or intonation Bobby can help you with that need new friends Bobby can help you with that

I found this rare album that was out of print it was a reasonable price I felt like a kid in candy store when I purchased this they have some cool guitars and a good sections of albums and CDs take a look

Great selection of Vinyl especially well cared for preowned. Also nice selection of 45's with picture sleeves. Bob is very knowledgeable about musical instruments but also all types of music. If he doesn't have it he'll get it for you.

The proprietor is the nicest most accommodating record store owner you could find. He interacts with each and every person that comes in his store. If he don't have he will order it. He has a lot of good stuff! I love going there!!! It's top of the line music!

Pat's has been around for a long time. He is a hands on owner. A nice helpful guy. He has downsized over the years and the store has become much smaller and a lot less inventory. The demand is no nearly as much so it's not a result of running his business poorly in fact him still being there is a testament to his business knowledge of adapting to the decline by cutting cost and whatever it took to remain in business. Kudos to Pat's Music Center.

I always drove pass this store for months since I live in the neighborhood and finally got a reason to go here. I called to see if they sold any ukeleles and the man working inside was very nice and helpful and told me they had a few in stock. good price good quality and definitely good service from them. I am so happy with this starter ukelele that I bought. The kind man also answered a ton of other questions I had in such a friendly and professional way.Screw the franchises like Sam Ash and other high end music stores!!! Support your local neighborhood shops . These guys definitely know what there talking about and have been in the field for years clearly.Definitely will go back to shop in the future.

The last time I was at Pats music 🎶 store a long time ago. When I went to Pat's I always had one of Pat's son's would help me with the latest records I need to have and lot oldies too . When I was a Disc Jockey back then . They always treated me like a good friend. Pat and son's sorry about I quit the music business. Because it got to completive for me . I could not go on . As of today I have moved out of Philadelphia and move to New Jersey to closer to my family and that was two years ago and one month I got sick before the covid-19 came . I was rushed to the hospital because I past out to long story. I found out that no more lungs and it have nothing to do with smoking. It just happened so I just wanted to know because always made me comfortable when I came in to your business and once again I thank you . Take care . You will be in my thoughts take care . I've had a DJ company for 25 years, and these guys are by far the best group I have ever dealt with. They stand behind their products, and can service products on site. More importantly, whenever I have bought equipment, they understand what they are talking about. Many times in the past when I had to go to some of the larger box retailers, the product knowledge was inconsistent. Additionally, you can trust them. They listen to what your needs are and don't oversell you. Highly recommended!!

Pat's Music Center is a one of a kind gem in the middle of Mayfair. Whether you want music, videos, instruments, lessons, or t-sirts, this is your place. The reason is the proprietor, Bob. He is a complete gentleman and is only there because he loves music, not taking advantage of people. As a result everything is reasonable and well worth browsing through.

This center like an old or used things store. I am unsatisfied, because only one Music Store in the North East of Philadelphia and so poor. Maybe for beginners of musicians who take a classes of guitar or piano it is normally but for people who knows world rock and jazz it seems as joke.

Pat's is the best! I have taken lessons here for years. Within seconds after I walk in the door, I am greeted with a smile, and I immediately feel at home. Like the show "cheers", its a place 'where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came". I once had an audition for a school all-star band. I came into Pat's near closing in desperate need for a last minute lesson helping me to learn my solo being that my audition was three days away. They did not hesitate to help me out and give me a lesson that night. I love everything about this place. So far, I have been a customer for 5 years and I will continue being a customer until the end of my days.
