I had bought a keyboard for my boyfriend for Christmas, he set it up and realized it didn’t do all the things he wanted it to, and I didn’t know the difference! He had been researching a specific keyboard that has all the bells and whistles, so we decided to exchange it for the one he’s been looking at. We came in on Thursday Dec 29 in the afternoon, and the associate who helped was incredibly helpful! I wish I got his name. He said there were only 14 left available online, and even though I didn’t sign up for an account when I had bought the first one, he put my exchange towards the new keyboard. He called multiple stores for us and found one in Wisconsin, and got it shipped out to us and it arrived super quick. It was so loud in the store with customers noodling on guitars, but he was patient on the phone. It was great that he took the time to call multiple stores and it’s rare that people go above and beyond so please be sure to pass on this info to him! :)

Ordered Online for Pick Up after calling to confirm item was in stock ( SHURE 215 Sound Isolating Earphones ). Once I completed my order and received my confirmation # I called store just to confirm and to make sure order went through. I was told that yes the order went through and could come pick up my order. Not even 5 minutes later I received an email telling me my order was canceled. With that being said once I arrived at the store the Manager took care of the issue and gave me a discount for my purchase.

Bought a Gibson Les Paul Studio at this location. Employees were very helpful and went up the stairs to get me a few guitars to try out. Walked out with a very nice 2023 model! Only negative is that guitars where out of tune.

Went to sell an item in great shape and then got offered fair. Very dislike this method of business. I know what shape my item is in. Only game in town and taken advantage with low buy offer. Of course you can always not accept the 33 percent. Other than being told a range then actually getting less than range is similar to another tactic well known.

I've noticed a few very negative reviews for this location, but that has not been my experience there at all. I started to play the guitar very recently and needed help purchasing a new one. I was greeted but Jordi who from the very first second helped me for at least 30 min. She helped me find a guitar that was budget friendly and talked to me about music and my aspirations. I've gone back to the store a few times after that, and I'm always greeted with a smile and willingness to help. If you go to the store, ask for Jordi, I know she'll provide the best costumer service.

Got my prime 4 in guitar center, the staff was very friendly, I love how one of your staff members reacted to what I ordered and was like “holy DJ equipment” guess he never saw a prime 4 in person haha, the young lady who helped me take my gear to the car she was very nice, she was very helpful, the only thing that could improve is that there needs to be more DJ equipment like pioneer and Denon DJ equipments like, cdjs, or sc5000s, 6000s which I would recommend since we have a lot of DJs coming to omaha, from Cali, New York, Chicago, Detroit, believe me!! Definitely will come back here!

Just wanted to thank your GC in Omaha and the time Ethan and especially Claire took to help me out with a purchase. I've been on the road for over a month and had a failing hi hat stand. I have rented rehearsal rooms here (this location is one of only a few in the country that has them) and found them to be always clean and the equipment is decent. Given the lack of rentable rehearsal space in the area, this is perfectly acceptable to me. The staff is likewise courteous and helpful.

Cool place. I’ll usually shop at smaller stores before I go to a chain, but they’ve got a huge selection and prices are never higher than market value. I’ll stop in from time to time. Some of their miscellaneous stuff is pretty neat, musical themed or branded Christmas ornaments, key racks, mouse pads, you name it. It’s fun to find stuff to decorate my music space.

I just started playing the guitar. They were busy and understaffed when I arrived, however a sales associate Jeff, was super helpful. He asked me about my budget and helped me find the right guitar for me. He was super knowledgeable and very helpful. As I was checking out another associate gave me advice about playing my own type of music and putting my own soul into the guitar. Thank you to everyone who helped me with my new instrument. I wouldn't say it was the best experience but it wasn't bad. They answered my questions somewhat offhandedly. Friendly enough but somewhat forced.

Purchased a used electric guitar as a gift. Did the transaction online. Correspondence with the online representative was good. On this particular item they were not willing to "deal". They wanted 699.00 I think I asked for 675.00 out the door. (my recall on the bottom line might be off...It may have cost more? I do know I asked for 25 bucks off.) They explained they could not work with me due to it being a used item. Guessing they have their margins on used items. No problem. I thought the guitar was solid. Perhaps slightly overpriced. Setup was ok'ish. Not sure they did anything to it and to be fair, I did not ask. My first time in, they were very helpful. When I went to pick up the guitar, they struggled to locate it since I had purchased it online. Not a huge deal. I believe somebody took it down and put it in back for me. The website appears to be updated daily. This item was not permitted to be sold until the day I bought it. It did check it out in the store but could not locate it online until the first day it was available. If you are looking for a used item, it might be worth visiting the store to see what is pending for availability. Why not 5 stars? If they through in some pics, cheap gig bag....maybe. Spending 700 is not a HUGE sale. Maybe I am expecting to much?

Where local shops were offering me $180 in trade-in, they offered $132. I understand that they are a large company that has to set standards, but that is a mountain of difference.

I needed some assistance bringing my old Yamaha back to life, a new strut and new set of strings. I was told I would need to speak with a technician for help, who would not be available during the late hours of the day I'm not available to come in. I decided to take a look around and see if I could find someone more knowledgable or willing to help, since it seemed pretty simple. I looked around for a bit and asked a man in the back if he could help, and he was more than happy to assist me. He explained the basics to me and even walked me to the products I needed and explained how to use them. This man was JT the Store Manager, a very knowledgable guy, thank you for the assistance! I would have left 5 stars if my first interaction had gone as smoothly as my second.

Online ordering/pick up wasn't organized at all, and there seemed to be bugs in the process, but overall this place is OK. You are not necessarily going to get someone with answers for your particular instrument, but thats OK too. Still not sure how good they are at setups and repairs.

Ordered a guitar online that was shipped here from the Dallas, TX store. When I went to pick it up, the guy at the register checked out other people who had arrived after me (I guess I get that, my order would take a minute to go get), but I definitely could have done without the snooty attitude that went with it. I get that I am a middle-aged white lady who obviously has no business playing guitar (/s), so I'll spend my money elsewhere the next time I want some new gear. On the other side - there was an issue with my order (a piece was missing), the online help at Guitar Center's website was EXTREMELY helpful and got that issue resolved within 5 minutes and the part is being shipped directly to me. That is the only reason I gave 4 stars.

My daughter lives this place. At five years old, she will spend an hour picking guitars, banging on drums, playing on the keyboard s and singing/ dancing. We are both careful of the equipment and other customers. The staff enjoy seeing her love music. My hope is that it might build her interest in music enough that she might learn to play an instrument add she gets older and If so then Thurs is where I will get it at. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, and you can check out what you are buying before you spend more than to planned on all the great deals.

Music people beware - this is a place you could spend a lot of money! My husband visits Guitar Center at least once a month as he is part of the monthly 'Strings Club.' He gets one pack of strings every month. While there he has a chance to see some new product or sell some gently used amps/guitars.

Customer service is hit or miss. Some employees are great, others are useless. One guy in particular is oblivious to what good customer service means. I walked in the store and up to the counter. His back was towards me, while he strummed a guitar. He eventually looked over his shoulder and arrogantly said “can you come around here?” I did, thinking there was a good reason. Nope. He just felt like the customer should accommodate him, not the other way around. Then he gets more puffy and arrogant. Needless to say, I bought a guitar at another store that day. They lost a sale over a moron at the front desk.

It's less nice when you get help from one of their non experts in the wrong section. Upon returning the wrong cables purchased under advice from said "non-expert" the actual expert was available to give actual useful and helpful advice to make sure the correction was the best setup. Thank you guitar center experts. Not as much for the guys in the wrong department.

I want to first start off by saying I have not been into this store. GC online you can browse used inventory via there web site. I found a used fender made in mexico fretless jazz bass on the website. I called and spoke with Jim in guitars. I asked if the item was available and what the condition was. As I was out of state and was not going to drive or fly from las vegas, nv to the Omaha GC store to view the item in person. Jim told me of the cosmetic nicks, scratches, dings & etc and the over all playability. I asked jim if he could tell me how much shipping would be. he was unable at the time to give me a answer due to the system bing down and told me he would call me back. I gave jim my # and he returned my call with in 5 minutes of hanging up. on a side note this is not the first time I have had to buy a used item from GC online. And in the past have never recived a call back from a sales asst. Jim told me the shipping and tax and total amount. I told jim that I wasn't getting paid till the next day and would have to call back with my card info. jim told me no problem and was not pushy to have me even put any $ down to hold it. the very next day I calle and asked for JT the store manager. Jt answered and I explained to him that in the past I have had some issues with sales asst being less than truth full over the phone in regards to a items condition. I then explained that that issue was not at his store but to avoid any problem on my end. I wanted a manager to look over the item as well, so if I did have a problem the manager would could be responsible. He looked over the item and told me the same issues jim had. I told him I had spoke to jim and I was told the correct information. I then told jt I was ready to purchase the item. he placed me on hold and then jim answered the phone. he took down my information and sent me a conformation email. Jim an JT were very truthfull to the items condition and I know that there just doing there job but in this day and age you can never be to carefull. I would deff buy from this store again. I just picked up my item today at my local store. I chose to have it shipped there so I could have it looked over by the tech and if there were any issues is could start resolving them right away. but you can also have the item shipped to your home. The bass is as described and better than I thought. I love this new bass and im sure I will for many years to come. thanks JT AND JIM YOU GUYS ROCK!

Had to return a guitar I purchased from the gc website from another store. It was severely misrepresented. The gentleman that handled the return was very helpful and no issues whatsoever. Too bad a few bad stores can tarnish the rep for the entire chain. My only nit is that there are times (not this visit) when I'm there and it is so busy and can be difficult to get help. But that's like more of a retail thing than a gc thing.

I'm from out of town and went here to look into/window shop for a new guitar and amp. I have been out of the guitar game for 10yrs but want to trade in all my equipment and start up a different route. A gentleman (Thomas) took 20-30min to explain some details about a Fender Telecaster and showed me the difference between a tube and solid state amp. He is a bass player but plugged the guitar into both amps and got me sold. I was kind of embarrassed to play on the guitar after 10yrs and I feel he picked up on that. So he played some riffs for me. Told him when I sell my horse, I'll be in there to trade in my equipment and buy new. Another gentleman walked over and helped fill in some details and the service guy chimed in too. These guys know their stuff. Can't wait to buy my new Telecaster and tube amp from them soon.
