Independent locally owned. Acoustics, mandolins, banjos, electrics, bass, amps, strings, parts. This store always has different interesting instruments coming in stock. They have some new things and lots of used and killer vintage items. I have bought new and used items there. Set up work IS GOOD! Deals are good!

Decent sized collection.. knowledgeable.. lots of accessories.. set up my guitar really well.. How is it possible people complain in a review about not being allowed to play guitars for free for an indefinite amount of time? Don't they know strings cost money? Don't they know no one wants to listen to them for 30+ minutes (because they suck)? This place is awesome. Ignore the haters. If you need guitar stuff, this place will serve you well.

Such a great pleasure dealing with Jesse and Robin. They gave first class customer service and the turnaround on purchasing a new Waterloo, having a pickup installed and shipped out to Texas was incredibly fast. The guitar was expertly packed and the setup is spot on. Whether you visit them in person or shop online as I did, be prepared for a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!

I took a guitar in to lower the action, buy a case for it, and get new strings. I got a detailed description of the issues and they did their best to resolve them. It came back with a whole new sound and was very happy overall. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Great guitar shop.

Great medium-sized guitar store. The owner was a Peavey area rep for over 20 years and is very knowledgeable, and his employees are also. The store has both acoustic and electric instruments, and usually one or two beginner drum kits. They also have Peavey amplifiers and some PA gear. They carry a lot of used gear and it's always in good condition. They do repairs. Owner and staff are very friendly but there's never any high pressure sales tactics, just good, knowledgeable recommendations. My favorite store in the OKC area.

This is an excellent locally owned music store. It's size makes for more intimate shopping. While not a GIANT corporate place like GC, they can order whatever you need in from online if they don't have it. This is a great store with a pretty darn good collection of instruments and gear.

They pretty much sell used guitars and equipment, but they have great value! Bought a bass and amp/cabinet from them. Spoke with the guys there and made a wonderful deal, which also includes free fine tuning and setup for my bass. They know what they're doing, and they are patient with you. I walked out very happy.

The sales staff wasn't high pressure which is nice if you are looking around. The asking prices on much of the used gear was a bit high. New gear was on par with the wider market. A welcome alternative to guitar walmart.

I had just purchased a guitar, from another dealer, that was having issues with the G string being too sharp on the first, and second frets. I figured the nut needed filed down, but this was not an adjustment that I am comfortable doing myself. I took my guitar in to OKC Music and Sound, explained my issue, and dropped it off for setup. I picked it up one business day later, and plugged it in when I got home to check it out. The tech did an amazing job. The guitar is now as musically perfect as a fretted instrument can be, and I am very satisfied. I'll definitely be taking any future guitars with issues to OKC Music and Sound for service. I looked at their stock, and prices, when I was there, and they appear to be quite reasonable in that regard, as well.

Best music equipment retailer in OKC, (and over the years I've done business w/ 'em all). The staff is top notch friendly, exceptionally knowledgable, and highly skilled in all areas of repair. Excellent line of new products and always has a wide variety of quality used inventory. Pricing is competive, and in my experience (been dealing w/ them for at least seven years), not only do they stand behind every transaction, they have always gone above & beyond in being more than fair with any inadvertant issues that may arise. Second to none, if you haven't yet visited their store, give 'em a chance, you won't be dissapointed. Bob A.

I met Robyn the owner, very easy to talk to. Very incouraging about learning an instrument. Very knowledgeable and made it fun to talk to him as he played parts of songs on a few instruments. I will be back to buy a tuner, maybe a ukalalaylee. Probley not spelled right, sorry. Was happy and fun music.

OKC Music is my favorite music store ever! I have bought guitars and a uke from there. Robin, Taylor, and Jesse are knowledgeable, courteous and honest. I won't shop another store, as this place feels like home. Quality inventory, and professional staff.

I have made several purchases from OKC Music and Sound. Staff is very helpful without hovering like a vulture. Great values especially on the Ukuleles. I only wished they carried Sierra guitars but they have a very good line of Taylor and Godin among others.

Shops great. Lots of different brands to look, pick up and feel the sound of a instrument, see if it's a tool that you will hold on to and play in both times of joy and darkness alike. The guitar experience seems to be fading. Its very special to hold a guitar to your chest and it's almost like the heart and strings mix and that's the one for you. You'll find that and good help with these guys. Ok no more music and the soul stuff. Jesse the fix it guy is a good dude. He gave me advice on changing pickups, help me find the tone I have been chasing, have me options on what he could modify and when we came to a place of what needed to be done he did his job with great skill. I told him I was a person that would like to do what he does but not with his understanding of the more complex things. He explained and showed me his ways of working on a guitar and that knowledge is priceless. My guitar is a devil that can sing like a angel. Jesse also has give me tips after that install if I didn't know I would be with a guitar with no signal. That's for the knowledge, the help, and the friendly nature that is missing far to much in are days. You cant get that at guitar center and if you do you went in on a off day. I spend 30min at the front waiting to pay for a pack of string most times.

They staff was very accomodating and hospitible. They helped me to aquire a very good uke. I went to 3 different stores, including 2 different Guitar Centers, and none of them carried any Tenor ukes. This store had a wall devoted to tenors, which really made me happy. I never liked the idea of picking out an instrument online... I like to get a feel for the instrument before buying... so Okc Music and Sound is the place to be.

I recently visited Okc Music and Sound I demoed a Washburn acoustic electric guitar. I was so impressed with this guitar that I went back the next day and bought it.This was my first visit but it wont be my last.Both Phil and Robin were very professional and I enjoyed my visit with them.I have four acoustic guitars but this Washburn is now my favorite.The price was perfect and the store is really close to my house .Just fyi I purchased the guitar from Phil.Great store Great prices.Sincerely Dennis Shafer

Live in Oklahoma City for 5 years before moving back to Canada...and let me tell you the best guitar store EVER...im left handed and maybe the selection wasn't huge the (it never is regardless where i go) the service makes up for it here...please support this store and buy everything you can from them..Cheers Brayden
