I personally called and asked my barrage of questions weeks prior, and he still took the time to answer them without my feeling like I'm being rushed. Recently I traded in my flugelhorn for a vintage trumpet that they were selling on consignment. Jim was a pleasure to deal with. He gave me all the information I needed in order to make a decision to trade, without ever trying to “sell” me on it. He even repaired my trade horn once he received it, in order to help me maximize the trade value since he couldn’t budge on the consigner’s asking price. Once I received the new (to me) trumpet, he answered my follow up questions and gave me helpful advice for valve spring adjustments. Also, I live across the country, so all this was done via mail, phone and email, but it still felt personal and trustworthy. Highly recommended!

This has become my go-to place for anything I can't get through my local music stores. I would much rather support a real, brick-and-mortar shop like Dillon, than simply order from one of the many websites that are online-only. Their in-stock selection is huge, their prices are great, and shipping is usually free and very fast.

Ordered a slide for my trombone , although it took just under a month to arrive customs etc, the company were extremely helpful and the slide was in perfect condition ! Great customer service !

Anyone who plays a brass instrument should know about Dillon. Even before I moved to NJ, I brought my horns here for repair, and a day in their showroom is a day in paradise for a gearhead. I took my tuba to this store after it got dented, and Matt the tuba repair guy got the bell back in shape and cleaned it for a really low price. It took a bit longer than expected so he gave me a really nice discount. The employees were all friendly and they've got some really cool instruments in the store. I was very satisfied and would definitely recommend this place for brass players!

Overall, we were pretty happy with our experience here, but be prepared for an attitude if you're not a known pro. Also, call the day before to make sure they actually have in the store what they list on their website. We got an excellent C trumpet at a great price, new. Know that they can give discounts at the store that they cannot advertise due to manufacturer's constraints. We were given about a 20% discount on the list price for a new high end C trumpet - it was far better than any price online, and only a little more than the price for a used model online. There were very few used C trumpets in stock, and none of them were high-end. They did NOT have in stock many of the new C trumpets that were reported as in stock on their website - not a single Yamaha. We did not receive good customer service initially - they seemed to not believe that we were there to try out and potentially buy an expensive, high-end new trumpet for a 14 year old kid who looked like a 12 year old, unaccompanied by a pro trumpet teacher. Honestly, the salesman's attitude toward us would have made me walk out the door, had it not been for the fact that we'd driven over two and a half hours to get there. But the guy behind the register treated us right, and we wound up with a great new C trumpet at an excellent price. Kid's pro teachers both said they loved it.

Great service, friendly staff. The person who normally repairs saxophones wasn't in, so another staff member fixed our instrument on the spot. No parking lot, though. Expect to park on the street. (Fortunately, parking spots were easy to find.)

Purchased my son's horn here. It was a very easy low pressure experience with a very knowledgeable salesperson. In addition, we bring it here for annual service, we get expert work that is always done quickly by appointment. Finally, if you need accessories they will give you excellent advice, telling you what the best values are and about the pros and cons of a particular item. If you're in the market for an instrument this should be your first stop.

Here you can find everything you need. If it's not here, you don't need it. New instruments, used instruments, mouthpieces, other accessories. The staff is friendly and helpful. They do great repairs too. They don't carry every new manufacturer listed on their web page, but what's in stock can be test-played, including the used instruments. They had a nice Sovereign 995 in silver i should have grabbed right then. It was gone shortly after :( Highly recommend Dillon's.

This place was awesome, to sum it up this is a brass players paradise. Here I bought two straight mutes(Silver, and brass) for my trumpet. Also I was allowed to use my mouthpiece to try out a used Flugelhorn that was really cool. Even though the whole selection of instruments were used, they all were great quality.

This Thanksgiving I’m definitely thankful for everyone at the Dillons team. I’ve been going to Dillons for years.
