The records here are almost always in good condition, amazing music playing off the turntable every time you walk in. Did I mention 75% of the stores records are only $3?!?! This place gives you more than what you pay, which makes you want to come back. All the stuff in the store is not sorted, but it is fine since it is a smaller layout. If you want good records for great prices, go here!

Been here twice so far, and hoping to come back many more times. Extensive collection of used vinyl spanning a wide variety of genres -- I've found so many things here I haven't been able to find at any of the other record stores in town. The reasonable prices are just the icing on the cake. To be honest, the place is probably the closest thing to vinyl heaven in Milwaukee. If you've got the time, it's worth setting aside a full afternoon to go in and sift through what they've got on offer -- you're almost guaranteed to come away with at least one or two vintage gems, if not a whole pile of them.

I called to sell my record albums, and Andy came to my home the very next day. He explained the resale business, and the buying and selling strategy for vinyl. Andy was very knowledgable, personable and friendly. He purchased the majority of my collection at a very, very fair price. I am extremely pleased with "We Buy Records." I look forward to visiting the store's location, and see where my music is getting a new life.

Just moved to Wisconsin from the NYC area so of course the first thing I had to do is scout record stores. Stopped in and had a great experience. The five dollar bins were stocked with tons of great albums! Even found a few nice dollar albums. For lot's of albums I care more about the vinyl condition than the sleeve etc. The stuff in the cheap bins was all pretty well graded vinyl with G to VG- sleeves so not bad. My collection mostly consists of jazz and funk/soul so I'm working on building out my collection of rock and blues. Fortunately there was plenty to choose from! Glad though I checked their Discogs inventory before I came in as the records listed there aren't out on the floor. Fortunately, the super friendly guy working was able to grab a few I spotted on Discogs from the back. The prices on the Discog albums are also very reasonable at least compared to what I'm used to in the NYC area where I moved from. All in all a great store! I left with a stack of about $140 in albums. Can't wait to come back and do more browsing. They're not open too late during the week so it's hard to get over there. Highly recommended!

Andy was a very knowledgeable and courteous gentleman, that methodically went through my crates of records. In the end he offered me more than I was looking to get for what he selected, I had to say no please pay me less. Honestly, a very gracious man to work with, and I learned a lot in our chat as he went through the records. A+ experience for me, would recommend anyone looking to sell vinyl to use his services. I had a pretty substantial collection (approximately 800 LP’s) that I wanted to get in the right hands. We Buy Records was definitely the right choice. It was important to me that the collection would be treated correctly and in turn, I would be paid appropriately. I feel great about the transaction and the whole experience was enjoyable from start to finish. I highly recommend We Buy Records, they truly know what they’re doing and care about the legacy of vinyl records.

Had a private shopping appointment this past Saturday. I have to say that the selection and prices were the best I have seen in the area. I can't recommend them highly enough. Great spot to shop for vinyl.

We Buy Records has a nice selection of all genres, dealing exclusively in vinyl only! They are serious with their name. When you walk in the store, you’re greeted with a 3 level shelf that extends 5 bins wide of just $2 records. The quality is sometimes what you would expect with the price point, but you will be surprised with what you can find in there. Beyond that, there is one wide bin full of records separated by genre (a nice touch). While sifting through the rows, you’ll see that each record will normally have a different colored dot on the front of it. This is the stores way of putting a price tag on the product, but in a color coded way. Their price points are $5, $10, and $15 as indicated by sticker, but if it’s something specific like a new record it will have a tag with the price written on it. There was a lot of specific releases I had never seen before in person while looking through these bins, but the $5 color coded sticker attached to these sort of was a dead giveaway of what the kind of quality would be, most times not so great. However it was understandable why they were priced this way due to the rarity factor attached to some of these. Then of course there’s another bin dedicated to new arrivals / rock and roll, and another wall full of $2 records as well. But let’s not forget the 45 selection! Wow! There were some real winners in those boxes, and there was two 5 level towers of them! Although sometimes the condition was a little too far gone for me to want to pick it up. A shame, there were some fantastic singles I had to put down. It was also sort of difficult to determine the condition considering none of them were cleaned. If they were, I must have not been looking in the right boxes. But regardless, I could have spent another hour looking at their singles. They even have a table and chair for that exact purpose. Come with $10, leave with 10 45’s. The atmosphere was nice. It was not too cold, there was no overpowering smell, the floor was made up of big tiles, and there were two listening stations! The employees were nice, and you can get some great deals by the end of your visit. If you’re in town and you’re looking for a quick sweep through some vinyl, look no further.

I just finished selling the last of my large collection of vinyl to Andy. My collection of late 60's and 70's classic rock as well as some very hard to find gems were very difficult to part with, but I'm extremely excited that another generation of music enthusiasts will be able to enjoy what I believe is the greatest music ever put forth in any generation!!! I let one employee control my view of the business due to the patronizing way I was treated. I’m looking forward to my next visit and can’t express how impressed I am with the owner and his response. Fantastic record shop with some select bargains (especially in the lower racks)!!! Purchased some terrific psychedelic rock and funk. Spero was the guy who helped us out with getting familiar and he played some very nice grooves while I was browsing! Looking forward to a repeat visit soon!!!

Incredible selection throughout the store. The pricing is fair and they warn you if certain copies have been heavily used while offering them as a cheaper alternative. Overall very positive experience. Will definitely return!

Highly knowledgeable staff (which equals more money for your records). I have sold to them on several occaisions and I’d say it’s damn hard to find a better deal in town!
