Daniel was also extremely thoughtful and productive and took the time to set everything up (full drum kit, sound barriers, and mics) the day prior to the session. Had a really productive (and really fun) recording session with Danny at National Recording in May 2017. Danny had the perfect set up to do a 'live in the studio' recording for our band. Perfect placement of classic ribbon mics run through a beautiful vintage RCA console is a specialty of this studio. A really nice warm-sounding room with tons of great vintage gear make National Recording a special gem of a studio. However, all the gear in the world doesn't mean anything if there isn't someone there who is knowledgeable and skilled in the art and science of sound recording like Danny Zelonky. Not only does Danny have the technical skills for this kind of recording, but he was also great to work with on a personal level. He didn't hesitate to step out of the recording engineer role and into a producer role when we needed it. His input greatly improved the quality of the session. Much appreciated!

Danny and his staff (Nick and Mitchell) are great to work with. I am a "first-time" recorder and was a bit nervous about strumming and singing in front of perfect strangers. They kept things very light-hearted and were not at all judgmental and as a result I was very relaxed. Danny offered-up some great tips to help improve the quality of my little ditty and I was appreciative of his suggestions and insights. In short, the National Recording Studio is an excellent facility. The team has solid technical knowledge and awesome recording equipment. I plan to return for future recordings.

I've had the opportunity to record in a few different sound-spaces, and it's safe to say that my experience at National Recording was positively without a doubt the most professional and comfortable environment that I've ever taken a project to. Daniel is extremely knowledgable but isn't overly clinical, and brings an important authenticity to the craft that many sound technicians and producers spend their entire careers trying to find. He is ultra creative, very responsive, super flexible and overall fantastic to work with. If you want to work with some absolutely gorgeous vintage equipment with a very modern touch and a platinum sound, don't bother going anywhere else.

I was there last Saturday and Danny was awesome! Not only did he mix and master my track phenomenon-ally (which helped me leave an impression with listeners of my new music project) but he gladly gave suggestions and threw out ideas to help enhance the track when asked which goes above and beyond my expectations. This place was awesome. The engineer who runs it is very friendly and accommodating, the studio sounds great and has a nice atmosphere and fun lighting. The mixing was great before we even took it home. The price was great and well worth it. There's even a cute dog to play with. I've been to several studios around town and this one is definitely my favorite.

One of our founders did an internship here and was heavily inspired. The Place is unbelievable! You can rarely get as an organic a sound as Danny can create. Don't even get me started with how genius the engineers are at manipulating and cultivating QUALITY sound. TOO much creative energy here !

This was my first time at this studio and let me tell you the guys know their stuff. When recording the song, when I felt something was not right (my voice) he picked up on it and ran through until we had it corrected. The skills and the expertise that is put into the production was unsurpassed. I would recommend this studio to anyone. Just hope it does not book up to where I can't get a spot now and then. :)

The quality, equipment, and facility are all industry standard i think the most valuable thing in our time there was the efficiency and the experiance of the engineers. Nobody can beat this place in Milwaukee for sure.
