Music Mill is quite simply the best store I have dealt with, but enough blubbery love…. This is why they are great. …….. They are super chill to let you take the time to fall in love with the right gear for you at what you can afford….. When prosperous, and one is looking to upgrade , or possibly add new hear , the sticker on everything is very fair to start , and it us not uncommon to have one of the Mill Team give me a deal or discount , not always. Not needed but always appreciated…. Lastly, I believe I have always been given a very fair price in any trades I may be upgrading from. Its a chill place full if great people.

And if they don’t have it, then they readily assist in helping find it. I’ve purchased guitars, pedals, mics, recording equipment - and they’ve ALWAYS provided competitive (usually better than competitive!) pricing, and fantastic service. Unmatched selection of well-cared-for guitars from all the top brands, a great collection of used gear as well, and the best gallery of guitar hair east of the Mississippi. Well-coiffed staff is super helpful: they indulged me in extended blind testing sessions and even joined in--the best way to pick a new axe. My main kit is all from MMM: Yamaha AR-5, Era-1 accoustic amp, and just this weekend an Epiphone Sheraton Pro II...which was a surprise, since I walked in intending to walk out with a Gibson ES-335. But thanks to Trent and the team, we found that the Epi was every bit the match of the Gibsons. I love this shop and always love the trip up north for tax-free shopping!

From top end amps like diezel to small amps like Roland cubes.. tons of new and used heads to combo amps! This place has got a very large selection of used a new pedals from Strymon to first act and a great selection of used and new multi effects!! A very large selection of used and new guitars as well as bass guitars! The staff is really great everyone there is friendly and they are always willing to make deal with you!! What a great guitar store. I went there this weekend for the first time, and it was worth the drive. I checked out about a dozen guitars - all were setup nicely, frets in great shape, actually in tune - they obviously put work into their guitars BEFORE they put them on the wall, unlike many other places, which makes the experience so much better. I was able to buy a guitar at a great price and it did not need a setup at all it - it was good to go. I am used to either having to have a full setup done or do a bunch of work myself, so this was great. And they have a big selection. I was interested in a few Charvels, and they had 4 of the ones I was interested in, so I could compare them all at once, which was fantastic. And everyone who worked there was nice, despite it being super busy because of their Labor Sale. And lastly, their sale price on the guitars was great, and enabled me to get a guitar that normally would have been out of my price range.

I've purchased two guitars, an amp and three pedals from Manchester Music Mill over the past year and I'm continuously impressed by their prices and customer service. I have a guitar store (one of the big chain stores) about 2 miles from my house but I always make the drive (over an hour) to Manchester Music Mill for my guitar needs. I traded in a few items for my last purchase and they gave me a very fair trade-in price for my gear which was great! Who likes to haggle and argue to get a good price? You have my business for life! Just wanted to post an update... I purchased a Telecaster from MMM after trading in a Strat and I pretty much immediately regretted that decision. So I went back about 2 weeks later and told them I would really prefer another Strat. Without giving me a hard time or trying to convince me to keep the Tele, they happily took the Tele back and helped me find a great Strat (see pic). As I said in my original review, I'm a customer for life.

For 1 1/2 years I stayed on YouTube looking at guitars and Amps for myself and my great niece. This store had everything I needed and so much of what I wanted! They were so patient! East to talk to and played some tunes for me on the guitar that caught my eye! D’angelico premier SS and a mustang 100 amp. Found out I’m more than likely a left hand player! They fit my 7 year old great niece with a acoustic/electric Yamaha guitar and fender amp! Perfect size for her and it’s sounds phenomenal!!!!! I went up to the Music Mill in Manchester, NH yesterday to perhaps buy a jumbo acoustic guitar. It was my 1st time going to the Music Mill and I had no other expectations about the place, other than I had called ahead and they said that they had all of the “Inspired By Gibson” model acoustic guitars in stock. Upon walking into the store for the 1st time, I was blown away by their inventory of electric guitars. My Fiancée who was with me literally said “Uh-oh” under her breath lol… They had vintage and new guitars of all levels. Beginner, intermediate, and of course what I found most impressive is the stock of the high end Custom Shop/Master built guitars. Being that I was there to look at acoustics, we went directly to the acoustic room, and there we found the same fantastic inventory for the acoustic guitars. I was assisted by the associate Ben, who was kind, polite and enthusiastic to help me. At no point did I feel like he was at all trying to “sell” me anything, and when I asked if they had any other J-200’s still new in the box, not out on the wall display, he said “we sure do” and offered to go grab 3 more J-200’s from out back for me to test drive so that I could try to make sure I’d find the right guitar. He was just a pleasure to deal with all around. I ended up buying an Epiphone Inspired by Gibson J-200 in the sunburst finish. This thing played/plays fantastic right off the wall. It sounded like a cannon with plenty of low end, but not at all boomy, and was just gorgeous with nearly flawless fit and finish. It’s all solid wood, top, back and sides, with a beautiful fingerboard and neck. Now, let me say, my other acoustic is the Clapton signature Martin 000-28EC, which I love, but wanted a bigger bodied guitar to have for strumming etc… Being that my guitars are that Martin, a Gibson Les Paul (2018 R7 with the certified Brazilian Fretboard etc..) and a Lentz Artist Reserve strat and that I play all through a Handwired Marshall Bluesbreaker, I wasn’t overly confident that an “Epiphone” was going to impress me to the point that I’d be THRILLED to buy/own it. But, this guitar is smoking good. All of the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson J-200’s that I played yesterday at the Music Mill were great guitars. The one I took home, I can say that I’m proud to sit in a stand next to my other guitars. I’d recommend the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson series to anyone looking for a Gibson style acoustic guitar. At $1,000 the J-200 isn’t “cheap”, but it’s much cheaper than the Gibson SJ-200. With this J-200, I feel I got way more value than the 1k price point, and don’t at all feel like I settled for an amateur’s guitar or anything of the sort. I’m proud to play and plan to gig this guitar right along side of others listed above. I also HIGHLY recommend the Music Mill after my experience so far with them. In particular, Ben was great to deal with. I’ll definitely be buying from them again, and am looking forward to the next time I need to make a purchase so I can run up to Manchester, NH. (I’m from Central Mass).

Just picked the up this beautiful Fender AVRI - 52' Telecaster Electric Guitar - Butterscotch Blonde - w/ OHSCx2232 (USED) Jon and the team at Manchester Music Mill were awesome pros as usual. There is never any pressure from them and that is a huge plus in my book. I Played the guitar in the amp room for about 10 minutes and was sold. It was In mint condition for being used and I wanted to get it home and put it through its paces. Manchester Music Mill is a hidden jem of New Hampshire. The inventory is amazing! The staff is knowledgeable, the techs upstairs keep my guitars in shape for a reasonable price. I’ve watched them grow from a small little space selling used pedals into a guitar powerhouse! It’s not the best store local to me, it’s easily the best shop in New Hampshire and one of the best in New England! Love these guys! Awesome guitar shop - HUGE selection of guitars, amps, pedals...a dedicated acoustic room, and a full service tech. I drove up from Boston a few weeks ago to look at an LP Standard. Ended up playing it and eh, wasn't my favorite. I fell in LOVE with a 61 Reissue SG, but while I was playing it someone purchased literally the EXACT guitar online. Obviously a pickle for the shop, but Ben (awesome guy) made it work out...I got the guitar I fell in love with, and they got another for the online purchase. Little things like that make a music store (read: any store) a great place to spend your $$$. Mine was also missing case candy, MIA in transit most likely...but they called up Gibson and I had it the following Tuesday (bought on a Saturday) - they clearly have a great relationship w/ Gibson, based on their inventory but also their rep sent me a package in 2 days. I will absolutely be frequenting MMM, I have their website and Reverb pages bookmarked. They get some SUPER limited stuff, so if you see something you like call them up ASAP or just buy it - don't end up in a situation like me where you might not get it cuz they don't have a backup.

I've been coming here for a few months now to get strings and things, try out new guitars, etc. Staff has always been great. Very helpful and passionate people. A few months ago I sent my acoustic guitar in to repair a crack in the neck. They had the job done quickly and neatly, and now my acoustic plays just as well as it ever did. Came in last night looking to buy a bass for the first time. John (fairly sure it was John) really helped me out, pulled out all the stops to find me a bass that I really liked playing and even recommended me an amp to go along with it. In my experience, this is a great business with great people. I'm sure I'll be back soon. EDIT: came back to buy a Stratocaster and Ben was really helpful as well. I came in multiple times throughout the weekend and he always made sure I had everything I needed, letting me play any and every model I wanted until I was satisfied with the purchase I was making.

This is an amazing store. Their selection is fabulous but that’s not even the top reason why I’m giving them 5 stars. Their service is like no other guitar store. I was in the market for an amp and the first one I tried didn’t quite suit my needs, so I brought it back, they have a 45 day return period which gives you enough time to test something out and see if it’s right for you. And then they let me bring the first amp that I had already bought into the practice room to try and compare to several others, gave me all the time I needed, it was quiet enough that I didn’t have to fight five other people playing right next to me, and they took the time to learn what I was looking for and hear my skill level and musical taste and made some perfect recommendations. I live an hour away in the Boston area but from now on anytime I’m looking for gear (OK maybe not for a strap or a tuner or something, but for a guitar, amp, pedal, anything you have to test out), I’m going to make the trek, because the experience once you’re in the store is soooooo much more pleasant than you-know-where (a certain national guitar-related chain store...), it is worth it. Well, my boyfriend purchased a used taylor 914 e from the mill. He traded in everything music related he had. Amps accoustic guitar bass guitar etc. he dealt with the manager and a couple of employees. They helped bring all of his trades in from his truck, they all were very nice and helpful. He spent hrs there, playing all the expensive guitars in the store to make sure that the 914 was what he wanted. They were never pushy, or negative, they were patient and helpful. Just an update, I have now purchased three guitars from these guys and the experience continues to be fantastic. I walked in this past Monday (7/30/18) convinced that I would buy a Martin OM 42 that I had tried out the previous week. However, I asked Ben? (the acoustic tech, sorry if I have the name wrong) if there were any other OM's that I should try out. He brought me a Custom Shop OM 28 with Guatemalan Rosewood that had been spec'd out by the shop. Ben was great giving me plenty of time to work the two guitars and even played them both for me to get a different perspective on each of them. The Custom Shop guitar was amazing, incredibly rich and resonant and less money than the OM 42 as well. I once again got what I believe was a very reasonable offer on the two guitars and one amp that I brought in to trade. What can I say, a great shop, great people, and helpful advice when requested. These guys are now my go to shop. This was my second purchase in just over one year from the Music Mill. I was treated very fairly the first time when I traded in an amp towards a Les Paul gold top. I watch their web page and have been eyeing two Martin D41's. I stopped by yesterday and met Joe for the first time. He met me at the door, listened to my interest in the Martins and took a look at the Carr Rambler and Hamer Newport that I had brought along as potential trade gear. Joe said that he was certain that we could work something out and pointed me in the direction of the acoustic room. About ten minutes later, Joe showed up in the acoustic room and said that if I found a guitar that I was interested in, he would go over the trade numbers with me. There was never any pressure and Joe checked back with me several times during my over 2 hour trial period. I narrowed my choice down to three guitars and Joe gave me the numbers on all of them. He was very fair in the trade value, he even offered to restring and adjust set ups to my taste. Finally I took the D41 that most interested me out to him and asked if it could have a fresh set of strings put on it. His response was, "no problem, I will bring it back to you in a few minutes". Ten minutes later, I was playing the guitar with the new strings and I was sold. I took the guitar out to Joe, he wiped it down and we did the paper work. I walked out with a great guitar, a great price on my trade in equipment, and a totally positive buying experience. Joe is very sincere and wants you to be happy with your purchase. I wholeheartedly recommend the Manchester Music Mill. You will not be disappointed.
