Like a lot of reviews on this shop this is a good one! Definitely would come back. Prices on records are very fair. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable. They buy and trade as well. Buying method is pretty good. You’re going to get more if you sell your records on your own always but at least they don’t give you an offensive offer like some record shops in Vegas do! Will go back! Great customer service

I went there (the Sahara location) during my trip to Las Vegas last week. From the outside it looks like an unassuming shack, but once you get inside, WOW!! Tons of records, CDs and DVDs. I was short on time so I was only able to dig through the records for about 30 minutes. But I found 7 cool LPs in that time. The guy behind the counter gave me a discount on multiple purchase; he was knowledgeable and above all, very friendly. Great experience. Will DEFINITELY go back on a future trip to Vegas!

Fun shop, fun owner who loves music and loves people, very down to earth. Found and bought some good stuff here in the past. Pretty nice selection, and there's a wide range of genres and conditions from Good to Mint so everybody will find something at all levels. Definitely check the vinyl condition before purchasing, since a lot will probably still play fine but give you pops and static noise --just kind of depends what you are looking for and willing to pay. Maybe the second best shop in Vegas. Having a pleasant owner makes a ton of difference, and I look forward to coming back in the future for more pickups! RECOMMEND!

Hi, I am from Toluca City in Mexico. Went there a week ago, Murphy was the man! he knows his stuff, has a true sense of guidance and a fine taste in music. Gave me a few recommendations, although I spent less than an hour my experience was the best due to him and of course to the tons of records that the store has. I'm really looking forward to return with more time in order to really dig in that treasured music collection. Hope you can open a Twitter account.

Pretty cool place, wish the hip hop/rap selection was higher. Also I bought a vinyl copy of Tool - Lateralus and it turned out to be a bootleg. I’m not sure if they knew it while selling it, but it was definitely being sold as an authentic copy with no indication of it being a bootleg. I don’t mind having a knockoff in my collection but I might have passed on it for something else had I known at the time.

A gem at the end of the strip! Came from NJ and their collection was great- well labeled and organized (we don't get that much in NJ). Staff member was energetic, helpful, and enthusiastic. Much worth the visit for collectors. 5+ stars.

We were on vacation from Nashville and were looking for some great vintage vinyl for my daughter who is into 1960's and 70's music. To be completly honest we were a little skeptical of this place based on the outside appearance. After going in we were immediately greeted with excellent customer service and a just wonderful selection of vinyl. The staff was so helpful and took great care of us. I planned on only buying a few albums and left with a whole handful of great finds. If you are looking for some great vinyl records in good condition and great prices do not waste your time going anywhere else, this place is truly a GEM.

Went in on a Saturday morning about 9:30, almost passed it up. The building was un assuming and only 1 car. Glad I didn't keep going. The gentleman working was very nice and gave me a quick rundown of the store. I typically buy used used records, but will buy new records if it's something I've been looking for and the price is right. They had an interesting selection of new records and a large selection of used. Good prices. I definitely recommend this place. I will be back.

I’m from Salt Lake City and every time I go to Las Vegas I always make my way to record city. The prices are decent and condition is good. But the main reason I always stop by for a visit is because of Murphy(Murph). He is very knowledgeable and just a great guy to talk too. Unlike most record stores he listens to what you have to say and will even stay after hours to let you finish up your shopping. He cares about the customers. I always spend more money at your store then the other record stores because of him. I hope he gets a raise because of my review because he deserves it and I hope he never leaves. You Guys ROCK!!!?

While on vacation, decided to visit a local store .What a great find. As soon as I walked in , I was greeted by all of the staff members and immediately felt welcomed to their awesome store. 2 hours later I left with a bunch of great finds. If you are collector of vinyl records, this is a great place to visit. The owners and workers are very friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of rare records too. On the day I went, there was a green vinyl copy of The Beatle's Abbey Road. Wow! Really enjoyed my visit there.

I saved this place for last before I left Vegas to go back home to Cleveland. I instantly fell in love with this store because although there are similar shops in Cleveland they don't have this kind of selection. I was completely lost because everywhere that I turned I seen something of interest. It was overwhelming for me to the point that I was drawing blanks on what to get. I walked around the store a few times to take it all in and then I looked up and seen that they had autographed memorabilia. The first thing that caught my eye was a Damon Waynes auto for The Last Boy Scout but then I looked over a little more and there was a Marilyn Mason book signed. I instantly grabbed it and from that point I started to see other things. While I was doing my thing my wife was finding herself movies. When we finally got to the register to check out I glanced up and seen a copy of The Dirt signed by the whole band. At first I was hesitant but my wife being the wonderful woman that she is convinced me to get it (it didn't take much) and I thought that was it but as we were leaving. The guy working there hooked me up with a Record City T-shirt. That made my whole day. I cannot wait to go back. I've already have ideas of what I want to get next time. I can't recommend this place enough. If you enjoy music in multiple forms, movies or collectables? You have to go and if the person that was working there remembers me and reads this? Thank you for your time and making my experience a positive one that I won't forget!

I have patronized both locations for several years now. Currently, both have helpful, knowledgeable staff and a great variety of music styles. Price correlates with condition and rarity and is pretty fair. They are open to discount considerations and not pushy so it's all fine to me and I've been collecting for 51 years.

I called Record City 2 today to look for a CD for My Sister's Birthday( The "Footloose" Soundtrack) The gentleman who answered the phone(Infinte) was very Courteous & Profesional! He checked for the CD(Which was not in) & Thanked Me for calling! I know by My visits to the store that there is an ABUNDANCE of albums & CD's at REASONABLE PRICES & also records for the Collector!
