This place was sooo welcoming, we walked in they greeted us and actually wanted to help us, unlike my experience at Guitar Central customer service was very poor and they were NOT helpful!!

It is wonderful. I love this store. Has a great stock of everything, and a good mix of products. Pianos, cellos, violins, violas, guitars, electric guitars, saxophone, ect. They also have a good supply of supplies to keep your instrument good as new. Also, a great assortment of sheet music. From Worship to movie soundtracks, they it. Associates very friendly. They allow you to play the pianos, maybe other instruments, as long as you keep it quiet. A great music store.

Rick!!! Rick and Schmidt music were more than helpful with assisting us in renting a baby grand piano for our daughters wedding! The piano needed to be taken to a venue and Rick helped us every step of the way! We can’t thank you enough! The Christensens

Schmitt Music was very helpful and the salesman helped us find just what we were looking for. We had stopped at a different music store in Fargo who didn't even say hello or help us find or play a piano. Schmitt Music was friendly, helpful, and had many more options. Very pleased and will return.

It's ok. They don't have much for stock, atleast for what I've been looking for. There's definitely a weird sales vibe in there, employees tend to act differently if you aren't 100% committed to buying something

I was at Schmitt Music with two of my guitar playing grandsons. The store and staff were great. Even though they were fairly busy with paying customers, they still helped me find inexpensive trinket gifts for my other musically minded grandkids. My guitar players found their guitar accessories reasonably priced as well. A very good store and much more fun than on-line.

The person that helped us was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he helped us find a guitar for our son that will fit his needs. They change out strings if needed very quickly. I was also pleased to find a place that specializes in violin maintenance in case I ever need that.

Staff is very friendly. I was asked right away if I needed anything. I was looking for a certain book of piano music, and the associate found it for me right away. They offer music lessons here as well, which is great for the community. Staff in very knowledgable, and there is a wide variety of guitars, pianos, ukuleles, and sheet music. Best instrument store in Fargo. A beautiful array of guitars, violins, ukuleles, etc. I walked in and asked if they would restring my guitar. Rick cleaned fret board, restrung, tuned. He also helped me modify the guitar body to be able to have a strap. A+

We had a great experience with Suzy and Jared. Both were helpful and patient with my daughter when we came in to try out both clarinet and alto saxophone in order to make a choice for her elementary band class. Great customer service. Thank you!

A VERY good selection of instruments, parts, and music books! I got a Star Wars piano book for only about 20 dollars. They also had little trinkets themed around music sheets and instruments. One of the best music stores I've been to. Amazing service! 5 out of 5 for sure!

All of the staff at Schmitt Music are knowledgeable and friendly. I have purchased electric bass guitars, electric guitars, and even an electric ukelele from Schmitt and the staff has never pressured me into making a purchase for which I wasn't ready. When I brought my daughter in, they encouraged her to try any and all of the gear for which she was interested. I never had a question that wasn't answered to my satisfaction. If there was something for which I was looking for that they didn't have on the shelf they always offered to order it in for me.

I went into the store looking for a guitar that was a step-up from my beginner one. Not knowing a whole lot about guitars that was suite me the best, the staff was very knowledgeable and helped me settle on a beautiful Martin GPX1AE. The person who helped me was very kind and respectful and even offered to string it for me. A great overall experience and will be buying my next guitar at Schmitt Music.

I've been taking my daughter's violin to Schmitt music for 6 years for all of her maintenance needs..today i brought it in to be re strung, the lady that helped me said the bridge was too warped and did not dare re string it for me..then tried to get me to buy a new upgrade but i was not interested. she then said i should go to eckroth?? I took it to eckroth and told the lady there what was going on, she looked at it and said it was just a tiny warp and the bridge was on backwards (Schmitts) and changed all the strings and turned the bridge the correct way..she explained everything she was doing and didn't charge us anything for her time..will only take my business to eckroth from now on.
