I just left Rupp's after purchasing a used set of Gretsch Catalina drums. Evan (and owner Alex) were very helpful and open to sharing their knowledge and recommendations to this beginning drummer. I'm comfortable in the knowledge I purchased a great used kit and I'll have continued support from everyone at Rupp's! Being able to work directly with knowledgeable, friendly and skilled drummers is a major plus! They all made me feel very welcome and - even as a beginner - I didn't feel intimidated by their skill. In fact they are all so excited to see me begin this journey! Thank you. I've added photos of this beautiful kit set up in our new home (which, luckily, is isolated with few neighbors!!!). That's my partner in crime's new Roland keyboard and her bass guitar. We know we'll have to pull these out when we do the floors and still they were the first pieces of furniture we set up!

Rupps is a fantastic store. We have multiple drummers in our household - a never ever (me) and my son - who’s been at it awhile. We have bought multiple drum sets at the store. They have guided us to the appropriate choice every time. The folks who work there are drummers first - so they know the products. Evan helped us with our first purchase and Adriana (with owner Alex) the second. Every time we have had questions they answer them completely, even setting up an electronic drum kit for us to see it prior to buying. (Roland TD-07- very happy with it). I have also found their pricing to be highly competitive. The store has a lesson studio - and we are taking lessons with Devon Rodgers, the drum teacher. He is a superb player and a great teacher. We couldn’t recommend this store more highly.

Even when you’re looking to rehab a vintage Ludwig snare, they have it! Love this place.

Just spent a half hour or so talking through details of a new custom ordered Noble and Cooley walnut kit with Rupp's owner, Alex. Was my first direct experience with Rupp's Drums and it was excellent as Alex took his time sharing with me his own impressions, thoughts, as well as talking through what I was looking for and why. No upselling, no BS, just a couple drum nerds talking about something we both clearly love. Thanks Alex and Rupp's! Shame I have to wait 6 months now, but I can't fault them for that :)

I recommend this store. I visited this twice, and I ended up purchasing my first drum set there, earlier this month. My salesperson was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. He showed me how to assemble the drum set, too. After, I purchased the drum set, he helped me load it into my car. This store's location is quite the challenge, though. Their parking lot is too small, and southbound traffic on S. Holly is very heavy, hence it's very difficult making a left hand turn into their parking lot. On each of my visits, I drove in from the north on Holly, their parking lot was full, and I was able to find a parking spot on E. Pacific Place which is on the south side of their store. After I purchased my drum set, I had to drive 'my route' again to the store and found a spot in their lot to load the drum set into my car. Now, that I know how to get there, I would visit them again, for other drum materials.

Great drum shop! I picked up a used 5 piece Pearl kit and new Zildjian custom pack that I’m thrilled to have brought home. The salesperson Derek spent plenty of time helping me out, answering my questions and spec’ing out different hardware and cymbal options. All the other staff was friendly and helpful as well when I had questions about practice pads, low-noise cymbals, etc.

For our daughter's 11th birthday, we took her to Rupp's to get her first "real" drum set. Alex was super friendly and knowledgeable, walking us through every step of the process to find the perfect set for her. He even assembled the entire drum set for us in the store, making it very easy to reassemble when we arrived home. Since it was our daughter's birthday, Alex threw in a few extra "freebies" including a really cool Rupp's t-shirt. If you are in the market for a new drum set, or anything drum-related, forget about Amazon.com or Guitar Center and go straight to Rupp's!

As a kid, learning to drum, I loved spending time wandering among the maze-like drum store isles stacked high beyond my reach or sight with Ludwig, Slingerland, Rogers and others’ shells. As an adult, I never stopped enjoying going to music stores, if only to gawk at all the new brands and custom paint jobs, or just converse with others about anything drums. But times changed. Whether it was the multitude of laws and regulations forced upon small business owners; or Covid; or the internet; the shops I visited were no longer pumping out a warm and welcoming vibe, let alone a busting-at-the-seams inventory to marvel over. So, feeling like anything but a valued client after leaving a store at which I’d just again spent a lot of money, I started using the internet to shop drums. Thankfully, that was short lived because in 2018, I stumbled across Rupp’s Drums. At the time, I understood that a new owner had just acquired Rupp’s. So, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing the ‘new’ Rupp’s develop into one of the most ‘enjoyable’ drums stores I’ve ever frequented. In addition to their always new and ever-changing inventory of top quality (and I think fairly-priced) gear, is that warm and welcoming vibe that I’d thought was long gone. Over the past 5 years, each time I’ve visited Rupp’s, their selection of great quality shells, cymbals, hardware and drum accessories appears to change and improve; adding new and unusual stuff to drool over; always upping their game. But, one thing that has never changed since my first visit to Rupp’s in 2018, is the way the Rupp’s staffers always welcome me into their shop; which has made me feel welcome and valued, once again.

It is harder and harder nowadays to find a store, especially with music instruments, that is owned by people with true passion towards music. Alex (the owner) is one of those people - extremely knowledgeable, eager to help and finally (and maybe most importantly) - who cares about your purchase decisions from your perspective. I often hear 'sales guys' suggesting that I buy a particular item, while they did not even ask what is my goal, experience, budget, etc... Alex gathers information about your needs and background and based on that proposes a best fit solution for you. I am truly impressed! I highly recommend visiting Alex's store, even if you are not ready to buy just yet - you will leave the store wiser and who knows, maybe with the kit you always wanted.

Bought myself a new effects pad for my kit, and they spent ages helping me find the perfect mount for it. Also grabbed a black Friday cymbal that was on sale, because why not! I haven't been to Rupp's in about 20 years, ever since I moved out of the area and then back-- about an hour north of Denver. Decided to take my 8 year old son...he's a drummer and was looking for a variety of Latin percussion instruments. I told him there's a universe of difference between a music store and a pro drum shop, Rupp's being the latter. So glad we went. The selection was far and beyond anything we've seen. I remember buying my kits and hand drums from Bob a long time ago. It's great to come back and see it is still the best drum shop, period. We left with full arms and very satisfied. Worth the drive. I've been shopping for drum gear at Rupp's since around 2002 when I got my first full drum set as a kid. I've always been happy to support local businesses, and never felt like I received poor customer service from them. BUT, I have to say for the last couple of years after the new owner Alex took over, everything just improved exponentially. The shop itself is cleaner and more well organized, not an easy task with the amount of room they have to work with. The snare room, and the testing room have been very welcomed additions. I was able to try out a few Meinl crashes recently and really helped me make the right decision! (Went with an 18" extra dry dual crash FYI and it is amazing!) But probably more importantly, the overall helpfulness, and friendliness of the entire staff feels so much better. I appreciate chatting with everyone and going in kinda feels like meeting up with some buddies. The shop feels much more community driven and I appreciate it! Today I picked up a Gretsch Brooklyn kit that I ordered back in May (average wait time, especially given the times) and with COVID, me losing my job, getting another job etc. it's been a bit of an adventure/wild ride and really a team effort from a lot of folks at the shop, but I couldn't be happier! Special shout outs to Evan and Josh on that one. Anyways, if I have not convinced you yet, I'm not sure what else I could say. Please, if you're looking for drum gear come here before you go Guitar Center or... really anywhere else.

I’ve been to Rupps dozens of times by now. And let me tell you, I’ve never had a bad or even remotely unsatisfactory experience there. They always have an incredible selection of new and used, lots of hardware, drums, cymbals, aux. percussion, and if you’re like me and do a lot of projects, they even have a few cracked cymbals, old heads, and misc. hardware in the back. Prices are are always good and I never feel ripped off. And of course, very friendly and reasonable staff, and it’s a perk that they’re also drummers. Sometimes I’ll go just to talk about drums with someone. And my favorite part, the testing room. They have a separate room for allowing you to test out cymbals and drums, and it’s made me wish more places did that. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve brought home a cymbal that sounded good by itself, but was too quiet or had monotonous overtones that could only be noticed when striking the cymbal at full volume multiple times. This has become my new favorite store, and I can’t wait to visit and see what I find this coming Sunday there. Congratulations on this incredible establishment guys!

Ordered a Tama hi hat stand from Rupps Drums, covid-19 had shut everything down so they were having a hard time filling my order. My first contact was Evan who was very diligent in communicating with me about what was going on. Unfortunately he was getting no answers or support from Tama! Just a killer drum shop. I live in the springs and saw a drum on reverb that I wanted. Turns out it was a short drive away, so I figured I'd head down. I called first to make sure they still had it and Evan was super helpful. He even tracked down some parts for a drum I had been meaning to fix. Got to the shop, was greeted warmly, and was pretty blown away by the inventory. I hadn't been in a drum shop in a pretty long time, and it was a welcome change from the usual GC I had subjected myself to. I had a drum that I'd been meaning to offload, and they gave me a fair price towards the one I wanted. Picked up a couple other things while I was there, all parts of the transaction were smooth. Be prepared for prices to be slightly higher than what you'd see in GC or on Amazon, but it's a small price to pay to keep such a quality shop, with knowledgeable/polite staff ALIVE. Thanks, Evan. I'll be back for sure.

Fantastic experience multiple times coming to this store! They have a ton of equipment at the same prices you can find online, but the difference is that you get to try it before you buy it here. They even have some used stuff to get on the cheap. In addition to helping me find the product I needed, Dan helped me understand how it would work with my pre-existing equipment and even helped tune up my double-pedal, neither of which I had bought from their store. I've found everyone there to be very friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help in any way they can. Will definitely be back!

I run a busy studio and need to maintain 15 drums kits that are constantly in use. Rupp's is the only place we go, they've bailed me out of many a drum emergency and they have found dozens of specific, hard-to-find replacement parts for me over the years. This is where we get sticks, heads, drum keys, used hardware and used kits. Every used kit has been a great value, and they make sure to put on new heads and that every part is in full working order. Love working with this shop!

Great personnel and ownership. I've been a loyal customer since I bought my DW set a couple of years ago. I needed a small part for my Sonor pedal that was $30 on line. Dan went out of his way to contact the manufacturer only to find out it was a design flaw. He got me the parts (warranted) and had them shipped to my home in 4 days. My most recent purchase from Rupps was a TAMA Star Bubinga Snare. The drum itself is perfect but the team at Rupps really helped me get it going. I got fantastic head recommendations from Alex as well as a great cymbal recommendation. Other than the kit itself, I owe my entire setup, hardware, and rediscovery of my drums to Rupps and their awesome staff! No exclusivity, no looking down on lesser skilled players/hardware. This place just gets it and is one of the few places I feel PROUD to spend my money at.

TL/DR - Rupp's Drums is an absolutely fantastic drum shop with killer customer service. Can't say enough about how great it was to work with Alex and the staff at Rupp's Drums on the purchase of a new drum kit. I was looking for some pretty specific sizes, nothing too crazy mind you, but sizes which are generally not available to purchase in a standard shell pack configuration. Originally I tried an online big-box store and got nowhere. They were not able to get me the sizes I was looking for and basically told me what I see is online is what I can get. Knowing the good reputation Rupp's has with the drum companies, I knew they could help. Alex made a few phone calls to his Gretsch rep and gave me several options to get the exact kit I wanted - and in a killer finish that was not available online. It took only 5 days for my kit to arrive and the staff at Rupp's pitched in to help me get it out of the shipping boxes and assembled. As well as taking the time to help me put new heads on the entire kit, get it tuned up, and sounding amazing. If you're a working drummer, seasoned pro, or just a beginner, Rupp's is going to be able to take care of you better than anyone in the area. Their prices are appropriately priced, their staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, and they'll always work to make sure you're a happy customer. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Rupp's Drums defines ultimate customer service. I was recently in a bind and needed to replace by DW 5000 double bass pedal on two days' notice to be ready for a gig. All of my local music stores did not have the pedal in stock and I was told it was a three week back order on Amazon and Musician's Friend. Through eBay I came across Rupp's Drums and immediately called them and spoke with Sean. Sean went above and beyond to make sure that I received my pedals on time. I've been bringing my 9-year-old for lessons with Collin Sitgreaves since January 2019, and the results have been tremendous. My son had been working with another teacher at another local music school for about a year, so he had a baseline; but Collin has taken him to another level, not only in ability but also in enthusiasm (ever try to force your kids to practice their instrument? It's never a problem with my son!). They work on rudiments as well as the songs my son wants to learn, and Collin is always friendly, high-energy, and perceptive about my son's mood, which ensures they get the most out of each lesson.

What an Amazing Experience!!!! Our church was looking to replace our drum set. We had been all over the place looking, including some big name brand stores. We were very discouraged because of the lack of customer service at the other stores. We stumbled on this place after leaving another place and wha a GEM! Love this place for drums, cymbals, and everyday gear for drummers. Good selection of new and vintage drums/ parts. Good selection of cymbals used and new. They’ve also helped me restore kits. Alex is good guy and the people working at Rupp’s have the necessary knowledge and are super helpful and friendly. It’s cool they do things for the communities they are a part of. The music lessons they host there are essential for making the next generation of Denver drummers better. They also backline kits for some amazing drummers and it’s cool to know they’re helping good music thrive in this modern age. My local drum shop growing up was Pro Drum Shop in Hollywood, which is a very important drum shop in music history. Rupp’s has that feel but in the context of a smaller town (Denver) and they offer different services / things I wish Pro Drum did. Overall, this is one of the best drum shops in the entire world that exists today. Check this place out.
