As a DJ, I utilize a myriad of cables in order to achieve an optimal setup. I usually find myself at Folklore in a panic after I’ve overlooked a key piece to my setup, or I’ve simply lost a cable. Justin is always there to help and has everything I need, reasonably priced!

The owner and I have shared countless Facebook messages and I'm not even a customer yet. I don't even live in the area! We met through a mutual musician friend and Justin has been extremely helpful at all turns during my rediscovery of metal guitar. If you have ever wanted to swing in but were nervous, don't be. Show up, ask some questions, and maybe buy a pedal or something. We all love new pedals.

Probably the best environment you'll have in a music store in Charleston. The workers are super friendly and seem to actually enjoy helping people who are less knowledgeable. I've been playing music for the majority of my life, and most music shops seem like they only want to make a sale and could care less about the people buying their instruments. I've popped in before with questions and they seemed to enjoy answering, eventhough they didn't have what I needed, they offered advice that would not benefit them at all, and I love that.

I popped into Folklore while in town for a short weekend. I've been teaching myself guitar for roughly 9 months now and was hoping to buy my first pedal. The gentlemen at the store was kind and quite helpful with offering suggestions and answering questions. I surely did not feel ashamed for my lack of experience or knowledge. I ended up buying myself a multi-effect pedal on small business Saturday and got a great deal! I highly recommend supporting this small business.

I bought a sweet old acoustic from there a few weeks ago and it's one of the best guitars I've ever played. Anyways the guy was very polite and helpful. And I just today bought a set of strings and went to put them on and the tip of a tuning broke off. So I went down there to get the part and he just gave it to me free of charge. You guys are awesome I will forever be coming to you guys when I need something

Charleston needed a music store have to say this one is my favorite .Friendly service with a smile. and a wide variety of instruments for every budget
