Reviews of GRAMMY Museum Experience Prudential Center
Jamie Brownstein
Such a great exhibit especially if you're a Springsteen freak like myself. You get to see Bruce and the band from the beginning to the present. Other artists showcased in there as well. I was there mainly for Bruce‼️‼️❤❤❤💜🎵🎶🎼🥁🎷🎸

Very small but fun. I went by myself and spent around 50 min there. Maybe I would have spent more if I went with a friend since there were a lot of interactive activities. Not entirely sure this was worth the $10 bucks but this museum did manage to make me smile quite a few times, so overall if you have an hour to kill in the area it’s a decent place - but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here.

I went there to see the Beatles Experience exhibit. It was ok but not great by any means. There were a few artifacts, like one of Paul's bass guitars, but overall, the exhibit was underwhelming. In over an hour, I was the only person there.

You just missed a spectacular display of photos from legendary Hip-Hop Photographer Bro. Ernie Paniccioli, but there is much more to see. This venue will make you starstruck with photos, videos, instruments and clothing from your favorite Gammy Award-winning artists! It's like being at a show!

Great stuff about music. Parking is hard because center of Newark. Museum is small. Most time if musician is 2 hours. Much less if you do not play music.
Cory Sussman
It is a nice but small museum attached to the Prudential Center. The kids loved the hands on experiences with the instrumentals and the microphones. The displays are cool and seeing the history of music is always fun. You will not spend more than 45 minutes here. Parking can be a pain. Sunday’s are apparently are great day to go as street parking is free (check signs first to confirm and there is no event at the prudential) and there were only 2 other people in the museum.
Mylinda Beach
Fun interactive experience. Great for all ages though better for teens and up. Nice place to go to solo but far better with a friend or 3.
Neffyar Clark
Great experience, we enjoyed our stay. I hope that more artists contribute to personal items, but overall a nice experience.
Dave Finnerty (TheMadAdmin)
Great exhibit. Fun things to try, like playing drums with the band.
Lots to try and see.
Amanda Kamara
I liked the museum. Small but it was nice with a lot of information. I with the artists from NJ had more. I feel there were other NJ musicians missing.
Janie Hermann
Great pop up museum with some interesting artifacts and lots of trivia. Best part was the interactive instrument displays. Entire room about Whitney Houston and lots about NJ musicians. Not very large. Takes about an hour at maximum.
Ricky Martin
Such a really cool and fantastic museum.
Love, Live & Laugh
I went for the hip-hop exhibit that just opened. The rapping interactive section at the start of the exhibit wasn’t set up properly. Once entering, The pictures were beautiful, but I was disappointed to find that the Spotify code on the wall was for their previous exhibit on Bruce Springsteen seeing as I came to celebrate Black Music Month.
Amy Jensen
This was an amazing experience for our middle school group! They had a blast. It's small, so I would say 45-60 minutes would be enough time. Really interactive and fun!
Sheline Snowden
We had such a great time here. We had a Q and A with Naughty By Nature. It was a fantastic way to end a night!
RNBSNLSU
Enjoyed the experience. !! All the way from Mississippi. My son attended a music program through the museum and finally everyone got a chance to meet each other in person. It was a private event
jamie grundy
It was okay I thought the hip hop exhibit would be bigger. But it was cool.
Shawn Frost

David Nichnadowicz
Kinda small. But really nice. The interactive drum simulation with The Mighty Max Weinberg was really fun. 10 bucks for admission.
Jeffrey Sullivan
Great experience at this exhibit!

Went with a date. Really just wanted to see the Whitney exhibit, which didn't disappoint. However, didn't expect to be able to play various instruments (with headphones) and have a karaoke session! So fun. I wish the piano had worked though. Also great seeing how the Grammy award design changed throughout the years, and getting fun fact about my favorite singers and songs.
Chevy Bee
This was a cool experience. There were lots of interactive musical toys to play with and lots of photo ops. The staff were really nice too. Definitely check it out, it's a fun thing to do for the family for an inexpensive price.
Michael Tan
Cool interactive museum experience. There are plenty of items to see for adults and kids. I liked getting behind the drums and piano that they let you play.
It’s not very large so I would say it’s about 30-60 minutes worth of a visit. Great for music lovers that have watched the Grammys over the years.

Decided to go late afternoon Saturday of Memorial Day week-end -it's a small museum but packed with information -since /i am Jersey and specifically Brick City (Newark) I thought it important to visit , It wasn't what I thought but it wasn't disappointing - opportunities for movies/videos interactions, simulations and karaoke ( I sang lead on " Hit the Road Jack" ) and there is Whitney - lots of Whitney fitting for the Newark icon . There were very few people making all exhibits fully accessible and we spent about hour and a half in this reasonably priced venue -which we felt was worth it

From the moment you start, you feel transported into another world. There are some incredible costumes and commentary about some of music's biggest names from Aretha to Michael to Whitney. Speaking of Whitney, this was an ABSOLUTE highlight of the museum. There was an exclusive area dedicated to the life and music of Ms. Houston as Newark is her hometown. It is so beautifully done, showcasing her rise from model to powerhouse musician. It is completely interactive and you feel catapulted back in time as you sing along and reminisce on the memories connected to your favorite Nippy songs. Without question, the Grammy Museum in Newark is a must visit if you are in the area. If you love the magic of music, you will not be disappointed!
Javier Alza
A great, inexpensive spot to learn about the Grammy's and also the musicians from New Jersey!

The grammy museum experience was a beautiful display if you loved Whitney Houston especially. My daughter loves Whitney so I found out about it and brought her there it's right in the Prudential center in Newark New Jersey we were able to park on the street and we went during the day on a Friday and it was very quiet so she got to try all different types of musical instruments she got to sing in a microphone To Ray Charles she got to see a whole wardrobe of Whitney Houston and also a bunch of other New Jersey Musicians stories and Such. They had a small gift shop with tshirts. The staff was pleasant and it was kept very clean.

Awesome. Was going to Prudential to see SWV BabyFace and Toni. They were hosting a pre show party. One comp drink (your choices.were beer or wine. A little disappointing) however we did Karoke the host was delightful. The exhibits were phenomenal. There was a large one of Whitney. Nice place to start a great evening.

For a smaller museum, it covers a broad range of history quite well! Never realized so many artists got their start in NJ! A few of the interactive audio tracks were a bit too soft or loud. Definitely worth a stop in if you're in the area and love music from Grammy winning artists!
