Reviews of South Carolina Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum

Outstanding military historical museum. Fantastic collection of historical artifacts. One of the best collections of civil war unit flags. Well recommended for those interested in military history.

We stumbled across this museum as we traveled through SC. It was a great display that helped me learn more out the Civil War and that era. The best part was after our visit, we left some items we purchased in our rental car. We reached out the museum and they helped us purchase replacement items and mailed them to us. Great customer service and highly appreciated.

My family and I were there for the Swordfest event today and the kids loved it. Everyone was super helpful and knowledgeable, my kids learned all about the different weapons used throughout the years.
We also took advantage of the free entry and spent some time learning all about the flags and the different meanings that are hidden in the war flags. It's a great place to visit with school kids to learn all about a part of this countries history.

This held a lot of artifacts in a stunning and easy to walk about display. Many different Confederate flags, Confederate Uniforms and weapons, as well as workers and leadership during that time. Good place to just understand history.

Very nice museum. My kids enjoyed it. Best part of it is that it was only 1$ for entrance per person. So many things to look at, will definitely be going back soon to finish looking at everything this museum has to offer!

This was a fun museum and my fiance and I really enjoyed checking out all the exhibits. The museum itself is comprised of 4 separate stories, each story containing 3-5 different exhibits. There are also there different shows you can attend if you get the "Master Explorer Ticket" which cost approximately $12 per adult including a 4D show, a planetarium show, and an exhibit show. It was a fun day and we really enjoyed our experience. The ONLY reason this is getting 3 stars is due to my experiences with museum trips in cities such as San Diego, Washington D.C., and Norfolk which are vastly larger as would be expected.

Second visit and still so much to see. The staff was friendly and Joe, the curator, was so knowledgeable and great to talk with.
Learned a lot about South Carolina's role in the Civil War. A must see!

This is a very interesting exhibit. The Vietnam side is so realistic that I had a panic attack. Very touching.
William Sowle
Interesting personalized exhibit. Particularly the small artifacts picked off of battlefields.
