Reviews of Gutierrez-Hubbell House

We truly love this County open space. It is a true Community asset. They used to allow weddings prior to 2017. I feel so lucky that that will forever be a memory for my husband and I. It's fun to bring our growing family here and hope to enjoy it for years to come.
Dell Lovell
Beautiful spot they have created out there, definitely want to go back when everything is blooming!

The Fall Festival is always lots of fun. For city folks it's a chance to relax outside, eat prune pie and Indian oven bread, and shop for natural products. Nice emphasis on the history of the Camino Real this year.
Elisa Brawley
A beautiful historic place along the historic Camino Real. The museum has changing exhibits so it’s always nice returning to something new. Since it’s also a public open space, you can go almost any time and sit under the cottonwood trees or take a walk along the acequia.
Humberto Valenzuela
A very nice place to visit. It has alot of history. Definitely recommended.

A must see in Albuquerque. Employee's are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. A great family friendly destination to learn and experience a piece of Albuquerque history. They have events and festivals open to the public.

Take a stroll back in time so interesting they had a presentation on Dias de los Muertos and I really enjoyed it

Nice bathroom, thank y’all for saving this house. Spiritual presence. Will donate next time. Best museum in south valley. Friendly docent, nice dog. Needs more sheep…

Finding this place was a really pleasant surprise. I encountered it when attending a Fermentation Fair. Going inside I could see that this building was very well restored. It gives an indication of what this family live it was able to live like quite a long time ago in the Southwest. Not your typical family but a glimpse into how the rich folks lived. Still, very interesting place with some fascinating history.

Nice walking trails for us and the doggy. Peaceful and quite and lots of shade
Lauren Cannarella
Very lovely grounds and home with small museum with history of the area. I went for the cultural expo, which was fun, with historical reenactments, music, dancing and food trucks. They have a community garden which looks like it is beautiful in the Spring and Summer.
Dawn Allynn
I photographed a wedding here, so I haven't seen everything this place has to offer. However, it's quite lovely and was a great spot to host a wedding. A gorgeous historical venue with some beautiful acreage.

I have been to many historical sights but nothing topped our visit here! The docent who took us through was one of the most informed interesting guides I have ever heard. I do not recall his first name but his grandfather was a Perea. He was wonderful with the children in the group as well. Thank you for sharing your love of our state and its history !

We had wanted to see it for a while but because of theirony short hours, we kept missing it. We found they were giving a special presentation on a Sunday about pre Spanish history of New Mexico and the people who roamed this land before us (very interesting but too short and too much info crammed into the time) We were then provided a tour of the property that was equally interesting. Glad we finally saw it!

A pleasant cultural and community space in the heart of Albuquerque's South Valley. Visitors are able to enjoy unique events year-round. I attended a local food festival this past weekend, which was well attended and very engaging and informative.

What a wonderful local resource. We went to the El Camino Real trade fair today, but we've been there before as well. Fascinating look at early New Mexico history.

Heard about this recently and had to check it out. Its actually a neat place. We took a sort informal tour of the house and some of the grounds. They alao have events throughout the year. Its worth a visit. It sounds like it will only improve in the comming months. Wish I knew about it before.
Armando Romero

The County has restored and preserved a real jewel with this property. It also ensures a wide audience with a busy schedule of engaging programming. 2018 is the 20th anniversary of the County's stewardship of what's become known as the Hubbell House. In celebration the schedule has been nearly doubled and is available on the Bernalillo County website. I encourage you all to have a look and find something that interests you. Today's event is a talk about the history of New Mexico cuisine, where those famous chillies and other ingredients came from, and how you can grow them in your own garden. Perhaps pack a lunch and enjoy an extra hour instead of another fast food restaurant. Don't let transportation keep you away, either. I was surprised to find that Hubbell House is conveniently served by regular bus service from downtown. Take bus number 53 from the ATC (bay F) and enjoy a rural experience just minutes from downtown.

Beautiful place to see and more insight on the Hubbell family history. My wife works at the Hubbell Trading post in Ganado AZ, and I volunteer there with her. But I learn more and more from her, as she is a descendant of the Hubbell Family, she takes great joy in her job.
Anywho, before I get off topic, I recommend visiting the Gutierrez Hubbell home if you have visited the Hubbell Trading post. I enjoyed my visit and I'm sure you will too.
Leandra Chacon
Such a fun place to be even if there are no events going on because you can go walking on the beautiful trail!
