Aaron and Josh came out to move some big and bulky items out of an upstairs room. I called on Tuesday afternoon and was able to get it scheduled for Thursday which was great! The schedulers were polite, detailed and helpful.On the day of the move, the previous job was running a little behind schedule, so they called me with plenty of advance notice to let me know they’d be a little later than the two hour window originally given. When Aaron and Josh arrived they were quick, efficient, knowledgeable, kind and professional. They moved these items and made it look easy. I will definitely use and recommend them again in the future!

My move was a great experience. Jermaine and Alex were amazing. They even found a way to get my sofa to fit in the door of my new apartment which was quite a task. The only thing I would recommend to do differently is use a little smaller boxes for the kitchen. Those boxes are so deep I am having a hard time reaching down in them to unpack… but that’s a management issue… I also recognize boxes are expensive. But I’m short!!! Jermaine and Alex, again, we’re very polite, on time and did not rush. I would use their services again.

College Hunks helped me move my elderly Mother's furniture off and on her old carpet so new carpet could be installed. They were professional and respectful to her and me. The Manager Jordan and his Team of Hunks (Aaron and Stacy) were great! Their services were worth every penny! I would recommend them to all Senior citizens everywhere! I hope in the future College Hunks would consider offering AARP or Senior Citizens discounts (smile) because I may need them for myself when I get my Mother's age in the future.

Had a request to possibly move appointment early, which was okay with us. Kept original appointment time and were at the earliest time for our appointment. They called ahead to make sure we had our items prepared so they were able to take them (lumber must be less than 6 feet in length) which im guessing is area dependent. Went over how their company was started and what it has grown into. Pricing was reasonable and kept word to what their guesstimate was. Paint also costs extra so be aware at that. Great and kind service!

Noah, Aaron, Alex and Collin worked tirelessly to help finish our packing, then moved everything out on one of the hottest days last summer. They accommodated our delayed move in by holding in their storage facility which really helped us out in a pinch. One more unbearably hot day for final delivery and not one complaint from these guys. I hired College Hunks to pickup and donate a sofa, loveseat, a cocktail table and 2 end tables for us and I couldn’t be happier. They called before heading to our home, and when they got here they reviewed how their business operates, and confirmed the pricing they quoted me over the phone. The 3 gentlemen were professional, courteous, friendly and a pleasure to work with. The furniture was carefully taken out and equally carefully put in their truck. It was overall quick and easy experience! Perry and Dakota were pleasant to work with! Although I was surprised to see a smaller truck instead of the larger one I requested, they did the best they could. If you need to make any changes to the size of the truck don't wait until the last minute. And get a written confirmation or email of some sort if they say yes.

Everything from the booking process with everything explained in detail, to the actual day of the move could not of been any smoother or done with more professionalism. The three man crew that arrived spoke to my wife and myself in a way that is mostly lost unfortunately these days. I can not say enough good words about the crew leader Kris along with Jordon and Tyshon, they worked together like a well oiled machine and made every movement count. There was no wasted time and they completed the move in an hour less than I would have estimated. Great company and great crew.

Easy to set up an appointment, arrived early, evaluated the situation and performed the move of a Murphy bed cabinet and mattress from the garage to the upstairs bedroom. Aaron and Stacey were very professional and able to accomplish the service quickly without any damage or mishaps in less than 15 minutes. Well worth the fee to get a heavy, awkward move completed without injury to body or damage to property. Will use again and highly recommend the service.

All around excellent experience. College Hunks was easy to reach over the weekend to schedule a last minute move. My parents (in their 70s and 80s) were downsizing and they had just a few things I wanted but were too big for me to move on my own. Perry, Josh, and Roman were FABULOUS! They called me with updates to their ETA, they were polite and professional, and most importantly they were incredibly patient with my family's needs. They stopped en route to my house to drop a few things at my parent's new home, and they just could not have been more kind. I've averaged one move every three years over my lifetime and so many experiences are horrible at best, College Hunks was the complete opposite. Thank you for helping ease this process!

Hooper, Scoby and Josh were a fabulous crew. They were careful, polite and hardworking. College Hunks has never let us down. We had a quick-turnaround move, from quote to a completed move was a highly successful 48 hour timeline. THANK YOU to Perry and Alex who did an amazing job with the moving process. I'll provide a thorough review below but it should be clear that I cannot recommend these two ENOUGH. Perry called me first thing in the morning on moving day, I didn't answer the first time thinking it might be spam (whoops), but fortunately he tried again a few hours later. They introduced themselves, touched base on the details and updated me as they finished their previous job of the day. With their calls and updates, we were able to meet them to start our move 2.5 HOURS earlier. We were so happy for the communication and the chance to start the job earlier. On site, we did a walk through together, reviewed paperwork, and got to work. They started by carefully wrapping all of the large furniture and mattresses without asking. They did an efficient and tight job packing the truck and even made-do with my stray items and anything that didn't make its way in a box due to my rushed (and generally poor) packing. Embarrassing for me, but they were professional and made the extra trips with awkward carries and without complaint. In the days before their arrival, I prestaged things in the front of the house, and left the large furniture in the bedrooms. This "prestaging" was very helpful, highly recommend. My husband and I insisted on helping by moving the lighter items and leaving them by the truck, they were surprised but appreciative. I would recommend planning to help, the teamwork carried us farther, faster. We had plenty of leftover room in the truck by the end, and when using their large truck, I'd advise *highlighting any items you are especially concerned about being damaged* and *ask them to be packed last.* Unloading was smooth and almost 3 times faster than loading. They REALLY increased speed without 3 flights of stairs to carry against! Motivation and attitudes were high as we saw the finish line. Both Perry and Alex asked questions for clarification on where we wanted things placed and were eager to adapt. We completed a whole condo move (3 flights of stairs to get to the condo - 3 bedroom size, 2-story unit) from 11:30am to 3pm, which includes a 30 min transit in-between!! We were happy with the pricing as well, it was explained well by all members of the team, and ended up costing as quoted! If you dislike moving by yourself as much as I do, you're going to be EXTREMELY grateful for their hard work and professionalism. They got the job done, did it well, and did it a million times quicker than previous moves where we have fully done the move ourselves. Lastly, many thanks to Candy for setting up our assessment/quote to be completed virtually over the phone. This was a last minute quote with a requested moving day within 48 hours of the quote request. I called Thursday afternoon initially around 1pm. She worked late with her team to take care of us and we got a quote by 10pm that night. We signed paperwork and made a deposit on Friday, moving was COMPLETE by Saturday afternoon! We will definitely be using them in the future. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Had an amazing moving experience w this company. Needed an urgent quick move out of a 2 br apartment. Scheduled quickly on the exact day I needed them Aaron and Devon arrived and were professional, quick and efficient. I was able to have them move while I continued to work from home they saved my desk for last and packed everything into a 5x10 storage unit.. I had gone to office to upgrade to a larger size but they finished before I got back. Honestly surpassed my expectations and saved me $$ compared to the larger companies that I’d planned on using that couldn’t fit me into the schedule. They loaded their truck with my belongings (a 3 bedroom home) in a very timely manner and moved to my new home. They answered any questions I had and helped me take apart and put my furniture together. There was a time where I had to switch beds from one room to another and they didn’t mind at all. They asked questions so they can make sure they did a very good job on what I needed done and if they reached the goals as expected which they did a million times better than I expected. Noah and Jordan moved furniture up 5 flights of stairs (no elevator in building) without complaining even a bit. There was a queen sized sleeper sofa. A very well made extremely large dresser. I mean if you use them , just have your own supplies . They charge way too much for simple stuff like a box for your TV-25$. The guys came with no tools so I had to provide them with tools. When I worked as a mover we came with tools so that was new to me. Other then that great moving company .

I hired the Hunks to remove an old couch pending delivery of a new one. I understand that my condo's stairwell is a tight fit and, while it was disappointing that the couch didn't exit without a few bumps in the drywall, they were incredibly responsive when I opened a repair claim. A week later, their drywall repair guy came to fix the damage, prime the spots, and even cut me a paint swatch so I could get the custom paint color matched. Despite the issue, I would still recommend them for being able to do what I couldn't - get the couch out myself!

They ask how they can make the day less stressful and they follow through when it comes to helping with a move. The HUNKS arrived promptly at the time I was given, and Danny and Vance were polite and professional from the time they rang the bell. Firstly, the guys who showed up were very professional and courteous. They gave us a call 45 minutes before they were arriving to let us know they were on the way. We are renovating our house and used the hunks for the second time yesterday. The first time, we needed a lot of stuff moved from a storage shed and the house to another building on our property in a short time frame. Hunks to the rescue! It worked out great. They were fast and efficient but, most of all, careful with our stuff. They communicated well as a team and worked together to get the job done much faster than we anticipated they would. They worked hard, but also smart. In addition, they could not have been more polite. It really was nice to see young men with manners. When it came time to move more things, we knew just where to call for help. It was a small job but they did not hesitate to get us on the schedule. We were very happy to see two of the hunks from our previous job return. They are Vance and Dante. They brought a new guy, Mason S., with them. Again, they knocked out the job in less time than we thought and were looking for more ways to help. I should also mention that it was 25 degrees and very windy when they were there. Not one complaint about the conditions (except from me)! As we proceed with our renovations, we will be calling them again for help. We have told all our friends about them and also our contractor. With yet another storm approaching Hampton Roads I was in search of a hauling service to remove an aging shed from my property. My expectation was same day if possible. The name of the company, College Hunks Hauling although humorous has strong reviews which led me to call. I called the service number and left a message. I also completed an easy online contact form which in recommend. It generated a no obligation ticket number for an estimate. Within 10 minutes I received a call asking for information on my job. The representative was professional and handled the call efficiently. I was informed a truck would be at my home in 20 minutes. Approximately 15 minutes later the door bell rang. Two men neatly dressed in green shirt uniforms arrived with a large truck. They inspected the job and confirmed with a manager on the phone the pricing. A metal shed with dimensions of 5x8 with paint cans and miscellaneous was being quoted. A bit of negotiation (due to additional fee on paint) brought the fee to $99. They would not touch the gasoline containers. The two men got right to work and removed the contents. They moved onto an ax and pry bar to remove the shed from the concrete foundation. They then swept up all the debris. I would recommend the company provide brooms and dust pans on the truck. I had them and happily let them use. Payment was by credit card and efficient. A receipt can be generated by text, or email. I asked for text and it promptly was generated. I tipped the guys which they appreciated. Now onto a power washing and I will be one happy homeowner. I would happily use their service again and will tell others. Efficient, fast and friendly. Great job!

After reviewing several of the moving companies in the area, I chose College H.U.N.K.S. (despite the name). The website is user-friendly, and I received a callback the same day (on a Sunday!). David, the coordinator, provided thorough information and set up a follow-on consultation visit to ensure the right people for the job. I received a call from the site surveyor on Friday, and we were able to assess the work to be done with a few pictures and a conversation. She scheduled my work for the next day (Saturday). I had some reservations about the pro-rated charge after one hour, as I expected the team to extend the work unnecessarily. The team of T.J., Will, and Teddy performed amazingly with only a slight ding in a single doorframe. They moved a heavy three-piece desk (disassembling it and reassembling it) and office chair from the first floor to the second floor (navigating through other rooms and two ninety degree turns on the stairs with ZERO damage to the walls or railing). They were extremely efficient and executed the move with great care! This team was polite, friendly, and efficient, finishing the job in about thirty minutes. As the team lead, T.J. handled the paperwork and managed the team well...extremely impressive! T.J. and Will did an amazing job of communicating with me when the previous job went overtime. Expectation management and communication are important, and this team nailed it! I highly recommend College H.U.N.K.S. for any in-house moves you may need to accomplish. They earned my business! I had three movers: Trey, Mike, and Aaron. All three were excellent! I was initially quoted 2.5 hours and I think it took about 1.25 hours. They were professional, polite, and did an excellent job loading my uhaul truck. I would definitely use them again!

This is the best moving experience I’ve ever had. There were a few things i was worried about like my glass table top. I ordered a box for it but it was too big(the box was) and the movers wrapped it up very well and it made it fine. I also hadn’t finished packing yet and while they worked very fast they were also patient while I packed up some last minute things. They were super super nice which was helpful because I’ve had some very bad, stressful moving experiences before that actually had me in tears and it’s to the point I actually feel sick when I have to move. These 3 made it bearable. Id recommend Charles, Dakota, and Richard to anyone and everyone. And when/if I ever had to move again I’d request these 3 by name if I had the option.

I am doing this review for my parents.. these guys are AMAZING. I heard through friends of their great work and searched for them on facebook. I put in an inquiry and was immediately called and was able to set up a time two days later. We needed a bulky, heavy desk moved upstairs. They got to my parents on time and tried to move the desk up the flight of stairs. It was awkwardly shaped, so they had to take it apart and bring it up piece by piece. They put the desk back together when they brought it upstairs. Oh, and they called to remind and 30 minutes before they arrived. They were extremely polite and professional. The job was completed by another 3-man team who did not perform at the same level as the previous team. I would rate them a 3-star performance. According to the team there was a 1/2 a truckload. I called another junk removal company last week to schedule an estimate...They were suppose to be at my home today between the hours of 10 am and 11 am...At 10:45 am I called the office to make sure I was still on the schedule I was assured nothing had changed...They were going to call the driver and then call me back. Well 11 am came, went and no one showed up to my home. My brother then googled and found this AMAZING company!! When I called in a wonderful young lady answered and was able to fit me in today for an estimate and possible pick-up. I was given a time frame they would be out to see me, between 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm, also I would get a call 30 minutes before to let me know they were on the way. Sure enough, I received a courtesy call letting me know they were running behind but on the way to me. At 2 pm, my door bell rang and 3 very professional and friendly gentlemen were at my door! Gave a great presentation about their company and 50 minutes later the junk I needed removed was GONE!! If I ever need any junk gone from my home I will NOT hesitate to call College H.U.N.K.S!!! Truly appreciate you guys!! And I'm still waiting on a call back from the other company as I write this review smh.

We added on the junk removal/donation drop off, which, in the words of my uncle, "Saved our butts". I have no idea how we thought we were going to take care of everything ourselves. I called this company to remove and haul away a freezer that died in my garage. There was a brief initial phone interview; I was told they could remove it today and was given a hour window (2 pm to 4 pm) that they would arrive. After a little while, I got a call from the actual guys that would be coming by. They asked if it was OK to come early if possible, made further inquiry about the size of the unit, etc. They showed up just before 2pm, were professional and conscientious. They used a dolly to load the freezer on the truck, the whole process took a few minutes, but, of course depends on how much stuff they're loading. The fee was reasonable for removing this heavy freezer, so made it a wonderful option for someone who basically lives alone, doesn't have a dolly, etc. Thanks, guys!

Booking was very easy; however, it went downhill from there. No one called or showed up for my appt. I called and re-scheduled. For my new appt, they called me after my appt window and said they were going to be another hour and a half before they could get to me. When I expressed how upset I was that they had to re-schedule me and then were going to be late on top of that, they managed to find a crew to come out right away. The guys who came out were very nice, but when they arrived I found out that the call center had not informed me that my washer needed to be disconnected and drained. I had to sign a water damage waiver to get them to take it. The crew did a very good job, but because of the hassle getting someone to show upon the first place I would not use them again.
