Who loves moving?! SEKA movers were very responsive and helped us to stay organized with our move in Manhattan. Once the movers arrived they were very kind and took good care of our belongings in the move. They also delivered our items the same day they were picked up. It was nice not having to be without our items. Thank you SEKA team for making our move a little more cheerful.

Overall, I would recommend SEKA moving. However, I have a few grievances. I have moved quite a bit and I highly recommend using a moving company. So when I decided to move from NY to FL, I knew I needed a reliable moving company. I was swayed by the reviews and professionalism of SEKA Moving (Ben/Anne specifically). Their rate was fair and competitive. They were transparent about costs and the 12 business day delivery window. I just didn't expect to receive my furniture nearly 4 weeks from the pick up date (approximately 5 days after the delivery window). In addition, while I understand that normal wear and tear during a long distance move is normal, I was disappointed that several pieces of furniture we damaged by the tape adhesive used during pick up. While the movers were efficient and professional, they were also careless and should be more mindful of this moving forward. I am sure SEKA would have been a 10/10 for a local move but if you are moving states away, I recommend managing your expectations regarding delivery and be more vigilant when they are wrapping up your belongs.

We had a very unique moving request -- we were receiving a shipment of large, heavy, decorative furniture from craftsman in Italy, and we could not receive the delivery at our Upper East Side building or move it up to the fifth floor ourselves. I called a dozen different moving companies, and most dismissed my request to have the furniture delivered to their business address out of hand. But SEKA listened carefully about our situation and agreed to help us. This was a really stressful move, because the furniture could have been easily damaged moving it upstairs (only one piece could fit in our small elevator, so most of it had to go up the stairs), and we had to coordinate with the freight company delivering to SEKA without a concrete timeline from the freight company. But SEKA rolled with the punches, communicated very clearly and in a timely manner, and they were super respectful and helpful throughout. There was only one other moving company in the city that even considered our request, but they would have charged us more. This is the ONLY moving company I ever want to work with again.

From the moment I began requesting quotes from moving companies Seka stood out. Not only was their price extremely competitive, they responded almost immediately. They were efficient in their assessment of our needs, and the amount we ended up being charged only varied slightly from our quote due to my misjudging the amount of furniture we actually had to move - which is easy to do when you've lived in the same apartment for over 17 years. And from the moment we started, until the last box was placed in our new apartment, the movers never stopped moving. They worked for eight hours straight, first dropping half of our stuff off at a storage facility, where they miraculously figured out how to make it fit in an undersized space, and then delivering the rest to our new residence before the service elevator was shut down. They were thorough, respectful, careful with our items and listened to our input. And the effort they put into everything was amazing. As is Seka's customer service. Meredith is one of the best customer service people I've ever dealt with. For New Yorkers especially, there's a lot of pressure around finding the right moving company. We had no special insight when we started the process, relying on Google search and Google reviews to narrow our decision. I feel very fortunate that we went with Seka, and would obviously highly recommend them to anyone.

I was referred to this moving company by my boss. She said they were great! So I called and was surprised when I got a quote that was almost half the price I’ve paid for before. I realized after talking to Peter it’s because I had two huge armoires from IKEA moved. Pete saved me a ton of money and he was right moving those are WAY more than they cost. Anywho, I was schedule for a 9am time and Jimmy and his crew literally called me at 9:03 around the corner and ready to go! They were great and were even friendly to my cat who gets servers anxiety during moves. They took my furniture apart and put it back together perfectly! I also brought some of my own items in the car and they literally wouldn’t let me carry them up by myself they kept grabbing foe me and putting them in the bins so I didn’t have too! We did quite a bit research on the moving companies in NY and then decided to choose Seka, with our friend's recommendation. I was a bit nervous about the moving one night before. In the morning of the moving day, they called us about 15 mins earlier to give us an update of their arrival time, which was in the time window. The crew were very professional, efficient and quick. They wrapped the furniture carefully and loaded everything quickly. The second day they arrived at our new place and downloaded everything very quickly. They put everything exactly to the designate spots and also installed the furniture, piano and TV properly. We were very impressed. Though moving took two days and they worked so hard, they neither asked for a tip nor mention for a tip. We could not say more than thank you, Nick from Georgia, Nicolai, Alex ! AMAZING JOB!! PROFESSIONAL, POSITIVE ATTITUDE, EFFICIENT! I did my due diligence before hiring a moving company given the horror stories I've heard but SEKA moving were amazing from the start all the way to the end. Starting with Peter coming to my house to give me a quote to the day of the move where I met Denis, the foreman of the crew along with the crew members - David, Vladimir and Nikolai. They all came in with a positive attitude and worked diligently to ensure everything was moved in a proper manner. Denis was patient and took the time to discuss each detail with me so we were both on the same page always. He promised me that the move would be completed no matter how long it took and he was a man of his words as he stayed well into the night to finish assembling everything. I was quoted a flat rate but the whole crew worked efficiently throughout the process. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a moving company!!

Didn’t know moving from NYC to CA would be such a pleasant experience . Big shout out to SEKA moving and it’s crew in particular Kristin, Dave at NYC and Francisco in CA . Not a scratch to any piece of furniture , all boxes intact with no damages or breakage to the china ware . No hidden costs , you only pay what your estimate is which is very accurate . Kristin goes over all the pieces that are to be moved via video call and provides you with an estimate . We contacted several movers but none ever suggested a video call. I loved the excellent and very professional work of AB and his team. They arrived even before schedule and did a very efficient job in wrapping as well as disassembling all large furniture to take to our new place. They really went out of their way to make our move as easy as it can get. All furniture pieces arrived intact and complete. Seka was great! I talked on the phone twice to get my quote and then change my inventory a bit and it was quick, easy, and friendly both times. The guys called and said they’d be thirty minutes late, but I didn’t really mind since I was initially given an hour time arrival window which I feel is pretty small (other companies quoted me like a three hour time block for arrival). The movers were really nice and pretty fast. They were very careful with all my stuff!

SEKA Moving is the absolute best! We used them to move us out of a 3rd-floor walk-up 2 bedroom apartment into a 3 bedroom apartment on the other side of town. Two months ago, my husband and I found ourselves completely lost when our housing situation fell through AFTER we had moved all of our boxes in. We needed to do another move with a toddler and a 1-week-old baby. Enter SEKA Moving to save the day! I talked with Ronnie and he immediately started coordinating our move with just two days notice. Ronnie was consistently kind and patient, even as I made multiple changes to our plan leading up to moving day. When our movers (Leo, Vladimir, Max, and Miguel) showed up we immediately knew we were in good hands. They were professional, friendly, and careful with our belongings. These men had an excellent work ethic. They wouldn’t let us lift a finger, and they not only didn’t complain, they maintained positive attitudes for the whole day- which is particularly impressive considering they had to move us out of a 3rd-floor walk-up. We also enjoyed getting to know them in our interactions with them throughout the day. At the end of the day, the final cost was what we expected, thanks to the initial estimate from Ronnie. There were a few additional charges at the end but I had known those were a possibility. SEKA Moving was a class act from start to finish, and they have raised our expectations of just how smoothly a move can go. A friend had recommended them to us, and we have already recommended them to others. Great moving experience with the SEKA team. When calling up for a quote, sales was easy to provide inventory to and gave a very reasonable price. The day before move I asked for a certificate of insurance and they provided it very quickly within a couple of hours. On moving day the movers were friendly and receptive to any questions or feedback. When there were unexpected obstacles they gracefully found workarounds. The team of movers, led by Dan, were amazing. They were extremely efficient but still thorough with wrapping furniture, packing paintings, etc. They took extra special care with items that are more valuable and fragile (computer, musical instruments), communicating to make sure the whole team knew what to pay particular attention to. While loading boxes, one of the movers picked up our box of dishes, saw that it was labeled "dishes," and immediately placed it back down so that he could put it with a smaller load and hold on to it the whole way. I was so happy to see them being thoughtful about our things. Highly recommend!

We worked with Barbara and we had to edit our inventory, moving date and time multiple times because you know, life happens and plans change...Barbara was SO accommodating and helpful! Nothing was ever an issue with SEKA. They were efficient and responsive every step of the way. Also, the movers were SO NICE which is really rare. I can’t tell you how grateful my boyfriend and I are for these guys! They did everything so efficiently and carefully. Most importantly, we live(d) on a 7 floor walkup (and it’s a prewar building with very narrow hallways, and tough staircase). And to make things worse, we both had a lot of stuff to carry downstairs. It took them about 5.5 hours to do everything and they never once complained, they wouldn’t even let us feed them as they didn’t want to waste time. Right after this back-breaking and exhausting move, they went to do another job! I was shocked by how pleasant their services were, and I recommend their crew wholeheartedly to anyone moving!

SEKA makes moving a breeze!! Last night, I barely had enough sleep. I was worried my move would not go well. However, AB and his team from SEKA movers alleviated my concerns with their superb customer service. First off, they arrived on time and were so welcoming. Ika and his crew were FANTASTIC ON EVERY LEVEL. They arrived early, but Ika told me it would be no problem at all for them to wait in the truck until I was ready, I wouldn't be charged extra. (I only needed 15 mins.) Ika took an inventory of the space and he and his 7-man crew got to work. Granted, I was very well organized for the move, but they moved my entire 3000+ square foot office in only 2 hours!!! And that included the time it took them to bubble wrap everything for storage. They were fast as lightning and extremely courteous every step of the way. They all worked very well together, and Ika's calm, courteous, easy going manner brought down my stress level. Yet, when he worked, he too was like lightning. He asked what my quote was for the move and called the company at the end to be sure I wasn't being OVERcharged (I wasn't) and he was extremely appreciative for the very good tip which they eminently deserved. If I could give Ika and his crew more than 5 stars, I would! The whole move was set up by salesman Chris, whose motto could be "I aim to please" and he succeeded. I want to say thank you to the whole team at Seka Moving, they are organized and thorough. I orchestrated this move from halfway across the country and am incredibly pleased with and appreciate all of the care the people at Seka Moving have taken with me. I have had multiple conversations with Sam and George about the logistics of the move and they have been informative, reassuring and have communicated clearly and thoroughly throughout the the whole process. I had never worked with a moving company before and was nervous about the whole process. I was comfortable trusting them to pack and store my most belongings. To be truthful, their pricing was in the mid-range of the companies that I spoke to and I could have chosen to use a company that was cheaper, however if I had done that I would always be worrying if they had done their job properly. I have great faith that my things have been packed carefully and will be stored safely.

My son was moving from one building to another in the financial district in NYC and while my wife and i have moved many times it was always for a larger move and from a house in Suburbia. When the apartment was approved a week ago I jumped online and searched for local movers in FIDI as i had no idea who to use and Seka popped up. I had never heard of this company but the reviews were solid so I submitted an inquiry for a quote. Within a few hours Eric reached out to me and was extremely thorough with everything, helped me book quickly for the following week and as kept me updated perfectly along the way. The process with Seka is flawless from the estimate coming over electronically and being able to update information as easily as possible. The move was scheduled to start between 2 and 4 pm and at 1 the driver called and said they could come early if we were ready which was perfect for us. I highly recommend this company. The drivers all had masks on, were very careful with everything, courteous, efficient and quick. I rarely take the time to write reviews but considering others taking the time to write reviews helped me i figured i owed the same courtesy back for others to read. 5 Stars all the way.

Once I booked and had follow up questions / updates, I had trouble getting in touch with them and confirming receipt and there seemed to be a disconnect between the sales rep + guys that actually did the move. They were competitively priced for my ask and which is why I ultimately ended up booking them. We needed to move out of a storage unit into an apartment, so they did not have to do any packing for us. Ben was so helpful in walking me through the process and in hearing my situation, was upfront about pricing to move on different days. He was also upfront about the estimated inventory charge, and updated the cost when I called to update their need to break down and throw away some old furniture. They moved most of my things on a Thursday and did an amazing job to take care of my boxes and furniture. This was my first time using professional movers, and they were so polite and courteous throughout the move. *Note: I packed my things before the move in boxes and wrapped my furniture, art, and other fragile items very well, so I can't review that option of the move.

This company offers a discount at the time of the move to write a review and have you show it to them. I reviewed them before they were even done. So I didn’t know everything at that time. For the most part the movers did a decent job. But almost every piece of furniture ended up with a ding or a chip on it. Also, they put the bed together wrong and it basically broke the frame. So there were positives and negatives. The movers were fast, hard working and polite. They were great about scheduling and moved everything quickly, but I was unhappy about the bed and the dings in the furniture.

Great moving company! Damir and his team were awesome. We moved from Washington Heights in Manhattan to Crown Heights Brooklyn. They loaded all our boxes up super quick even though it was a 5th floor walk up. They also disassembled, wrapped and loaded our larger pieces of furniture (I.e Dresser, TV Stand and AC units. Once we got to Brooklyn 3rd floor walk up they unloaded and reassembled what they took apart. The flat rate that was quoted for the move was what I paid. The only extra charge was for not having a designated parking spot but the service was well worth it.
