I had never used a professional moving service so I was pretty nervous about finding a good one and I have no regrets. I got 5 different quotes from companies I’d heard of and modern moving was one of two that came to my house to give me an in person estimate. The estimate was almost spot on and I felt like it was very fair. I felt super taken care of. The day of I was a little anxious, but my moving team (Trey, Ethan, and Colin) was friendly, calm and really put me at ease. Honestly, I felt like even though it was a lot of work, I ended up having a lot of fun with them—which I never expected from a moving company! All in all, I highly recommend their services. A huge thank you to Hunter and the guys for making my move painless and very, very worth it.

With last minute moving plans I decided to call modern moving for a quote. I spoke to a gentlemen Luke and he promised that he would be at my house the same day for a quote. Called these guys up after some other movers that I had scheduled ghosted me. A co-worker had had a positive experience with them. To my surprise, when I told them I was suddenly stuck without a mover, they offered to squeeze me in the next day! Jimmy and Jaden were great. Modern Moving Company was top notch from our first interaction. I filled out an inquiry and the OWNER contacted me within minutes. I was not pushed to be on the phone for 30 minutes etc. Luke (one of the owners) was straightforward with me about price, timeline, etc. Modern Moving company sent 7 polite gentleman who kept my husband informed all day long of where we were within the process. We moved a 5 bedroom home with a finished basement that was FULL of large and heavy furniture, the crew worked hard to ensure each of our pieces was well protected and handled professionally! We had a wonderful experience with Modern Moving. From the beginning to the end it was great and seamless. This was the first time using a moving company and we were very happy. Luke, the owner, is so nice and makes sure everything goes so smoothly. The movers themselves were so professional. They played Christmas music as they moved our belongings which my son loved. They were so great with him too (although having a 5 year old running around while moving is certainly annoying). Most importantly though, the price was VERY fair. They moved quick and efficiently. Do yourselves a favor and use this company!!

I saw this company on Angie's list and they had good reviews so I decided to hire them to move 375 lbs solid tub from my garage to upstairs. I'm glad I hired them. They did an absolutely amazing job. I was quite worried about my newly remodeled stairs during the move, but these young guys made it look like a breeze. Tub made it upstairs intact so did my stairs! They showed up on time, prepared with extra hands if needed and a plan. Extremely polite, well dressed and offered a very fair price. Definitely recommend. Thank you Modern Moving for listening to my concerns and for safely moving my tub.

I had 3 young men come and pack/move me from my apartment to my condo today. From the moment these 3 gentleman arrived they went above and beyond all of my expectations. I asked them to take items to the dumpster, no problem, I asked them to assist in putting up blinds, no problem. Every request met with we will do our best. They were perfect. We just used Modern Moving Company to move our 4 bedroom house. I can’t say enough positive things about these guys! Everyone was incredibly respectful, professional, polite and detail oriented. They showed up right on time and got straight to work. The manager even stopped by a couple of hours into the job to introduce himself and make sure everything was going smoothly. Fast and professional service. I had four pieces of furniture and only got charged a delivery fee. Before booking with Modern Moving, I quoted from several other movers and they all offered hourly rates and totals estimated to be $500+, which was not very reasonable given the number of pieces I have. Joey and his team did a great job and I would definitely recommend!

We have some large pieces of furniture that needed to be moved around in our home. We also have outdoor/pool furniture we needed to have moved and stored for the winter months. The wonderful staff at Modern Movers has been super responsive, very flexible and extremely accommodating...after each task, and again before they finished up the manager on the job asked me if everything was to my satisfaction or if there was anything else I needed. They took care and time to insure that my belongings were placed exactly where we want them to be and it was completely a damage free experience. I used Modern Moving to move about 15 large/heavy/awkward pieces of furniture to my new residence. The owner came to my old house to view the items ahead of time and give me an estimate. He recommended 3 movers for the move. The team did a great job, especially with having to carry several large/heavy pieces down a very narrow stairwell from the second floor to main floor at the first house. They wrapped everything very well with moving blankets and saran wrap. One old piece of wooden furniture did somehow get a knick in it, but the owner was very responsive and sent someone to touch it up a few days later. Overall, with the type of materials they had to move and how heavy/awkward most pieces were, these guys did a fantastic job and actually moved everything much quicker than the estimated time. Would definitely recommend!

What a great moving experience! This was my first time using movers and Modern Moving did not disappoint. The guys were timely in there arrival and got straight to work when they got inside. Not only were they professional, but also friendly! We only had a little bit of furniture to move and the guys were packed, moved, and unloaded in a little over an hour. Not only was he quickly responsive, but I ended up choosing him to have all my stuff moved into my new apartment. When I had called the gentleman (Luke) on the phone was very honest and helpful which is why I ended up choosing this company to move a 1 bedroom, 5th floor apartment into a moving truck. Look no further: You can definitely trust Modern Moving with your move, big or small. I interviewed six (6) moving companies in preparation for my first residential move in 16+ years. Modern's rates are very reasonable. My doubt crept in: what level of quality is to be had at such reasonable rates? The gentleman who came to my home, a co-founder of the business, shared the company's philosophy: they aim for transparency and full customer satisfaction. Dear reader, this was not lip service. The crew of three (3) showed up promptly. I gave everyone the lay of the land, and they jumped on it, hustling out to their truck carrying 2 - 3 boxes at a time. The boxes that had taken me weeks to pack up were safely swooped out in no time at all. As part of my daily job, I work with a number of companies that specialize in commercial moves. I've seen how furniture is typically prepped, padded, and wrapped to be moved from location A to B within town. My move was only 12.8 miles, but the Modern team prepped, padded, and wrapped my furniture securely enough to travel around the world without a scratch. I was impressed and grateful. When we arrived at my new home, the team and I walked through the house while I offered direction (e.g. the desk goes here, centered, then a foot to the left; the cabinets go hard against the far wall; the bookcase goes centered, but not against the wall because I just realized that none of the outlets in here are grounded, so I need to get some outlet converters and those will stick out quite a bit from the wall; etc.). The Modern team went above and beyond to make my move as stress-free as possible. Towards the end, we went room by room to make adjustments - move over the rug 8 inches; no, let's try 12 inches instead, etc. I would apologize for my indecisiveness, only to be told Don't be sorry! We want you to be fully satisfied. In short: if you want the best moving experience of your life, go with Modern Moving.
