We have only good to say about the team who helped us move from near Saint Louis to near Dyersburg, Tennessee! Kim and her team of packers did an expert job! Nothing, not even my valuable Wedgwood china, was damaged. The boxes were precisely labeled by room with identifying items, which was so helpful upon arrival! Shane's team of loaders were able to pack our full load to ensure everything arrived undamaged. We had another stop with some of our furniture, which I thought might cause problems, but the Tennessee team of delivers did everything without a hitch. They all worked together as a team with very few breaks, and no one expressed any conflict, argued, or swore. We are still opening our boxes ourselves, because I still need to decide on how to better arrange my library of books, but the furniture assembly went so well that I was already putting my china in the hutch before they left. We were extremely satisfied with these helpful, considerate, and kind people who became our friends in only three days. We strongly recommend them to anyone planning their move! Thank you to the entire team!

I have used Federal for two moves. Both included packing, storing, and moving. I cannot say enough good things about the company. They excel at moving! They are professional, dependable, and organized. I want to especially thank Ellen who coordinated both moves. She is an impressive first point of contact. She is fast and accurate in estimating the needs of the customer. Shane and Kim were the moving crew leaders! Wow! They were extremely thorough and careful. Everyone was very polite, they worked hard to protect our things. Felt so sorry for them as when they got to new home it was pouring rain. But that did not slow them down. If we ever move again (hope not) we will be sure to call on them.

We were moving from St. Louis to KC area for job relo. Shane was our driver, Beth was our point of contact & Kim was our inventory specialist. All aspects of the move were handled professionally. Moving van arrived 30 minutes before start of the arrival window of 8 am to 10 am. Loading was complete by 3 pm. We were very pleased with these times. A couple of hours into the loading, the driver advised that he would not be able to load all our items on the truck because one of the loads he picked up earlier was larger than expected. Apparently, that customer added substantially more items than had been included in the estimate. Initially, the driver said Federal/Allied would try to have another truck pick up the remainder of our items either today or tomorrow. After we explained that we had plans to leave town today, do not have anyone to open the house for a pickup tomorrow, have travel plans already made and plans to have the house cleaned tonight and tomorrow so real estate showings can begin on Friday, the drive called someone at Federal/Allied who came out to the house to let us know the company would send a truck today to pick up the rest of items. However, he was unable to provide us with a time frame for delivery other than in response to my question as to whether we were looking at delivery in a matter of "days, weeks or months", he assured me it would not be months. Clearly, Federal/Allied's provision of "extra" customer service to one customer resulted in less customer service to us. This situation added unnecessary stress to the already stressful time of moving. We were not happy with this situation. Fortunately, the “supplemental” shipment arrived the day after the main shipment so we were happy to have all of our items delivered within the time frame promised. Around mid-day, the driver raised a concern after reviewing Google Maps about being able to maneuver the streets in the subdivision where we are moving to and said he may have to shuttle our furniture. He placed a call to the HOA and left a message. This is something Federal/Allied should have investigated and resolved LONG BEFORE the day of the move. (Our move was on their books more than a month before the moving date.) This situation resulted in multiple calls with the HOA, the property management company and the driver This situation added unnecessary stress to the already stressful time of moving. Fortunately, this main shipment arrived on time and without any difficulty in navigating the streets. At one point, I walked into the living room to find our sofa balanced on four boxes I had packed. The boxes were being crushed by the weight of the sofa. When I advised the workers of my concern, they removed the sofa. I checked the boxes but failed to get the box numbers. The corner on at least one was crushed. The driver said it was an acceptable Federal/Allied practice when the boxes are dishpacks. None of these boxes were dishpacks. Also, when discussing self-packing with the estimator at the time of the estimate, she said nothing was about packing boxes so they could withstand the weight of heavy furniture. This situation added unnecessary stress to the already stressful time of moving.

We were researching companies to make our out of state. I contacted a few companies and after interviewing a few we went with Allied Federal co. I couldn't have been any happier. They came at the scheduled pick up time and the team worked diligently through the entire day to ensure my items were packed in the moving truck securely. The company then stored our items for 90 days until we took possession of our new home. They worked with me in scheduling and arranging my delivery. They showed up right on time as planned. All of my items were accounted for and we couldn't have picked a better company to help us through this most stressful move. Huge help from Ellen (moving coordinator), Mike (warehouse manager) and Shane (driver). They were FANTASTIC!
