I originally booked my move with Hansen's in May 2022 for July. I had to move the date at least 3 times and Dave could not have been more understanding and courteous. When the delivery date finally came the crew of 3 workers did an absolutely fabulous job. They were so fast, efficient and careful with all our belongings. The packing job they did was great and the delivery went without a hitch! I would have Hansen's make any future moves for me! I will definitely recommend them to anyone who needs professional help.

Hansen Bros, a Seattle legacy was our preferred choice. Everyone was amazing from the initial phone call, to Nicole's detailed evaluation, and Marc & the moving team's careful execution. The moving professional team was efficient, careful, super conscientious, friendly and exceeded our expectations. Moving our loved one to a senior retirement community required a special partner and expertise. Hansen carefully navigated the delicate environment and took extra care to ensure they did not impact any of the residents during the move. Hansen Bros did a FANTASTIC job on a recent commercial move that involved a variety of destinations. From the beginning, Mike took great care of us with the quote process. On Moving Day, they arrived early to the job, had a full team who tackled this large job with ease, professionalism, and friendliness. I’ve used Hansen Bros’ services twice in the past two years and the experience has been excellent each time. I’m sad I moved out of the state and won’t be able to use them on my next move. In both cases, they were very communicative throughout the process. They moved speedily but with caution and knew really well how to tie my stuff down and arrange it in the truck to make me feel safe driving it cross-country.

Fantastic service and employees. I had John and Rick come take a look at a bunch of really large machinery that we needed taken to the dump, and some new machinery we needed moved in. The quote was fair, and timeline reasonable. When the crew came to move all the machinery, they were so efficient and were quick to call some extra guys to help them move our largest machine. These guys got it all done in under the quoted time which allowed our business to not be interrupted for too long to complete the move, and we are talking about thousands of pounds of machinery. I will only use Hansen's for moving anything i need help with, large or small.

Thank you for the excellent service. The crew arrived and were professional, courteous, and efficient. We had two stops (storage and a new apartment). Our 10 x 20 storage unit was already half full, but the crew managed to fit the rest of the outdoor furniture, garage boxes, and miscellany in with room to spare. They also moved our furniture into the new apartment (on the fifth floor) in spite of a long walk from the elevator. When we received the bill, it was under the estimate. We are moving to Portland as soon as we find a houseboat and would love to hire your company to move us again–if you go that far south. Thank you again.

The communication that I had with your company was fantastic! Though I never spoke to anyone over the phone with your company (this was an interstate move facilitated by Allied) I communicated with your people through email. Responses were always quick and thorough and I appreciated that. My delivery was scheduled for 10am originally, but the day before delivery I was told that delivery would be closer to 11am. I arrived at the storage facility where I requested delivery around 10:30am, and to my surprise the truck was already there. I had to sort out how to get to my storage unit and kept the crew waiting for 15-20minutes but the crew was extremely kind and patient with me while I sorted everything out. They were also quick but careful with moving my belongings into storage and I am very happy with their service!

My parents moved from a 2500 sq ft home to a 750 sq ft apartment in assisted living. Hanson Brothers set us up with packers, movers and an estate sales rep. We could not have completed this move without them. I recommend them 100%. The packers were friendly and kind. The movers were quick, efficient, friendly and kind. After getting everything over to the new locations they unpacked my parents, putting all items were they go, books on bookshelves, food in the pantry, even made my parents bed. When they left all we had to do was hang my mothers artwork and place her trinkets where she wanted them. When they went to bed that night, all was in order. It was such a relief for my sister and I. They turned what we thought would be a nightmare into a dream.

Everything was just as promised and expected, except the process went quicker and the final bill was less than Hansen initially estimated! (That’s a good thing). Very professional, courteous, and friendly staff. Out of the entire move only 2 or 3 small pieces of dishware broke (less than $10 value) and that was on us for improper packing. I used Hansen Brothers for two moves during the last year. One was moving from a 2-bedroom apartment, to a house and the other was moving a 300 pound BBQ. In both cases, the team was highly responsive efficient and thorough in making the plan and using technology to lower the effort on my part. On the days of the move, everyone show up on time and executed the move perfectly, with proper packing & protections around walls and floors. The team members had a positive attitude, were friendly and helpful when making choices about how to do things. In the case of the big move, we had to reschedule for 2 days later because the truck parking was already taken at the apartment complex. In that case they swiftly checked with their office and made a new plan without charging more money or making a fuss. I will use Hansen Bros for any future move that I do + I will recommend it to my friends & family.

You get what you pay for when you hire professional movers. it cost a little extra, but it is worth it. The two gentlemen that moved my into my new place, they were very considerate of my property and made every effort to be careful with my belongings. They were polite and professional. We used Hansen Bros. back in 2010 as well when my condo flooded out and I had to move out for three months they came and packed everything up hauled to their storage facility and kept it for us. Sidenote, I needed to access some of my belongings and they were very accommodating for me to come down to the warehouse they had the crate ready to look through and I found my stuff.

Hansen Bros. made what is always a stressful time, much easier. All communication before the move kept us up to date and our changing how many boxes we wanted to move (by 100-fold!) didn't faze them. The movers, Josh, Simian (sp?) and Outhai, were a combination of professional, friendly and very careful with our belongings. They ended up having to take apart a piece of furniture to get it out of our house, and they put it together in the new place! Our golden retriever, Luna, received a pat on the head whenever they passed by on their way back to the truck after delivering items to the room we marked on each box. She was bereft when they were gone. I heartily recommend Hansen Bros. I hope never to have to move again, but if I do, they'll get my call.

I contacted Hansen Brothers to help me with a long distance move, which includes having the majority of our belongings live in long-term storage for a few months. I am super happy with Hansen Brothers so far. The folks I spoke with on the phone were friendly and responsive; the sales rep/estimator (Paula) who came to size up the move was helpful, knowledgeable, friendly (and she like my dogs, so....), and she was super responsive to, and patient with, all of my interim questions. The crew that came to complete the move was friendly and engaging, careful with my stuff, and completed the move with ease. For now, our belongings are all catalogued and stored away in their storage facility until we make the final leg of our move halfway across the country. I highly recommend Hansen Brothers. Hansen Bros. moved us from a fully furnished 4 BR/3B home with plenty of room to maneuver during the move out process to a smaller, much tighter environment for the move-in, with narrow stairs, tight corners and low headroom. These obstacles were no match for the professionalism and skill of the crew who worked as a well organized team. Logistics were an issue as well. We lived on an island which involved a ferry crossing. The crew arrived promptly the morning of the move, made quick work of loading an ample sized truck and were back on the mainland, having us fully unloaded with our furnishings well in place in our new home. We were amazed at their efficiency, not to mention their pleasant demeanor during challenging situations. We would highly recommend Hansen Bros., both for the care they took of our possessions and the overall value of their service. From our initial in-person evaluation and estimate prior to the move to the time the crew finished, the move was beyond our expectations.

We read a lot of reviews from other moving companies, and found that many schedule a move and change it at the last minute, or even hold your goods and increase the price while holding your load hostage. We needed a mover that would do what they said they would do, and when they said they would do it. We found that with Hansen Brothers. They were more expensive than we would have liked, but it was worth it to us to know we were getting the service we needed on the schedule we needed. Our load arrived on time with nothing missing, and no damage. Highly recommend!

Dallas, Neil, and Mike did a fantastic job with our move. They were incredibly fast and efficient, but also took care with all of our items. Not a single piece was damaged in the slightest. I only found two spots on the walls requiring a quick magic eraser cleanup; pretty amazing for moving a whole house up and down multiple flights of stairs. I had a very short notice move near Christmas time and couldn't find a mover who was available until I found Hansen Bros. They were so courteous over the phone when I was scheduling my move, let me know what to expect both in charges and in what the service would be like. They called me the day before to confirm and give me a time window of an hour and the crew showed up on time and ready to go. The crew was very careful with my stuff; wrapping things that were fragile or needed wrapping, moving things quickly, offering to help with all sorts of things like boxing stuff that I hadn't gotten to yet and taking things off the wall. They even got my wall mounted TV down for me! They were very fast and professional but also very personable and funny. They even got my move done faster than was estimated. Next time I move I will be using Hansen Bros. again.

We appreciated that Jordan directed them to take extra precautions to protect our home's flooring, carpets, doors, interior walls, and stair rails while they carried items through the spaces. Simon held and moved with framed pictures and artwork as if they were property of a famous museum and then wrapped and boxed them using methods and materials that showed very impressive skills and abilities. All of the fellows in the crew worked well individually and together to lift, move, and stow the boxes and furniture in ways that protected themselves and our property. (On site estimator/ primary contact) and packing/ move out crew Mike and Michael ( and for part of service, Chris) exceeded expectations with quick responses, efficient and professional on site work. Difficult downtown condo situation and complex move out. They truly nailed it. Have already referred them to a couple people and would not hesitate to give them out as my number one choice of local moving company. It’s impossible to say enough about Dave, Mike, Michael… The on-site crew met the deadline despite being down a crewmember. Had to coordinate city of Seattle, a security guard, a four hour window to use an elevator and then three local drops of items to different family members. They made it happen and made me feel like a priority, taking great care of the items being moved.

Before selecting Hansen Bros. for our move, I interviewed and got quotes from three other services. From the beginning it was clear that Hansen Bros. was a cut above. Dave did a walk through and review of our property to assure he had an accurate count of all furnishings and small objects for which your company would be responsible. He was clear about the timeframe of availability for the move, and was open to modifications to our needs and moving dates as we moved toward our "drop dead" date for the move. Your Crew, the crew, the crew! I can't say enough about their expertise and professionalism. They were well coordinated, and a model of precision and team work. The foreman for the job, George, and the lead packer, Rico, were in constant communication with us to assure we were satisfied and that nothing had been missed in the packing or our expectations. From entering our home to meeting them at the storage facility to review how they stored our belongings, no one on your team/crew disappointed. Were your rates a little higher?? My moving crew, consisting of John, Robert, and Sonny, performed in a laudable fashion, and should be personally commended by Hansen Bros. management. I write this as a veteran of many moves, both domestic and international, and rank this Hansen Bros. move as the best I have undertaken. The move-out was a complex one, given the architectural design of the building, but John organized the team and each person worked long and hard in getting our furniture out of the building. Fortunately, the move-in portion was less demanding, but the team still gave its all, despite the long hours they had already worked. John made useful suggestions regarding placement of furniture, and was extremely helpful in that regard. I saw less of Robert and Sonny as they were handling the out-of-apartment portion, but the teamwork that they exhibited showed how intensely they all worked for the common good. They filled the temporary storage spaces available in our house and garage so that everything fit and we did not have to move anything off-site. Full disclosure, we did not end up doing the move with Hansen Bros. So you may be wondering why am I leaving a 5 star review? It's because I have never had such excellent customer service from a moving company before, and in the middle of Covid-19 to boot. My partner and I were planning to move from Seattle to Chicago but had a change of plans given the uncertainty around university openings. First we thought we were moving across states, then across Seattle, and then we decided to stay put as we waited for school updates. I communicated with Pete, who was responsive va email and phone. When we initially sent out requests for quotes from moving companies, Hansen Bros came in at $800 cheaper. We have used moving companies in the past that were unresponsive, and worse, would find ways to inflate the price. Hansen Bros on the other hand were transparent at each step. I hope that when we do move, we will have the pleasure of working with Hansen Bros again.

Gordon in sales was very helpful, and even though this was a smaller job for them, I'm sure, he provided excellent service, and went out of his way to contact me and keep me informed. The actual movers were great! Really great! Peter and Jarrod were very professional, extremely quick, very hardworking, and even knew how to keep me calm and added some levity. They obviously enjoy their job, have good camaraderie and just made the experience enjoyable. It was so nice to get such great service.

We are located on an island with only ferry service and we were moving parts of two homes and delivering to two addresses. We were very impressed with the moving services we received from Hanson Bros. In the 30 years we lived in our large old Seattle Craftsman we'd accumulated lots of furniture through housemates and by hosting friends and guests. We received 4 bids for moving and only 2 of them wanted to visit the house. Dave Albaugh came and took inventory indicating we required 2 box trucks, which was surprising. They had no-parking signs posted in front of the house several days ahead of time. On moving day they were able to park one in front of the house and one in the alley to unload the daylight basement. John's crew of 5 arrived at 9:00AM and were finished before 3:00PM. It surprised me to see they loaded the trucks from the sides so they could pack both the front and back. Since we were moving to Olympia, 60 miles away, they held the loads in their locked warehouse until the next day. The same crew showed up at our new home exactly at 10:0AM as promised. We had requested to load one room so it could be unloaded first to allow our cats to stay in there. They unloaded from the back and that plan worked fine. They were very careful and inventive about getting furniture into odd shaped passages. They had the tools to disassemble/reassemble items that wouldn't make it. I did not see any marks on walls, ceilings or floors at either house. I would recommend Hanson Bros. Transfer and Storage to anyone planning to move. Jon

While my goods were in storage, I needed to access the storage pod and find two tables that had to be delivered to the painter. The warehouseman was very helpful; he cheerfully moved most of the furniture in two pods to find the tables and all their parts. And put it all back in. He could not have been more helpful. I contacted several moving companies in anticipation of our move and Hansen Bros. were the quickest ones to respond to my request for a quote. They showed up promptly to my residence to do a walk thru and determine how much we were taking and provided an estimate on site after the walk thru. After reviewing all quotes we chose Hansen Bros. They called us prior to moving but we were not able to answer as we were on vacation out of the country, but they still showed on moving day at the appointed time. They wrapped our furniture in blankets and took care of our items as though it belonged to them. All the movers were courteous and professional. On delivery day (4 days later), the same movers showed up and once again took great care in ensuring all our belongings were well taken care of. John called me to arrange the day-of details and we had a chat about who was showing up. John, Stephen, Neil and Mike did the move and they were FANTASTIC (can I give six stars??). I asked if they could move the closet shelf/rack down b/c I’m short and it I could barely reach the hangers. After about 15 minutes of taking things apart, he realized that it was designed/installed poorly and couldn't be moved. SO appreciated the time to figure that out. Also, I have an enormous, super whiz-bang instant pot that was too tall and wide to fit into any kitchen cabinets. One of the guys figured out that it could fit in the kitchen pantry storage (new to this apt) if he moved the shelving, which required him to remove the door…which he did. Seriously above and beyond. I like being able to put things away and he helped me maintain my sense of feng shui. Hopefully my next move will be into a house. You KNOW I'm calling you for that. Thank you for the first no-stress move I've ever had!

We had two shipments, one of them to Canada so it was a bit more complicated than most moves and they handled the complexities well. Then scheduling the furniture to deliver back was again without issue. Hansen did a great job on our move! Overall, we were very pleased. They were polite, very careful with our stuff and really helpful in placing our things where it needed to go. There was one or two hiccups where I didn't know ahead of time about having to disconnect the washer and dryer myself. I was a little stumped since I have never done that before. And, our tools were packed or hard to find at the time. I didn't recall being told about that. Other than that- everything was great and I would highly recommend them to family and friends.

Andrew and team were fantastic!!!! They were super efficient, professional, and really just all around good guys! We hadn't moved for nearly 15 years and had heard and read horror stories about the process so we were very apprehensive about how this was going to work. Each move was expertly done...from the original meeting and 'look over' to the final moving day. This most recent move, from Seattle to Issaquah was just a wonderful experience. The young men were efficient, courteous and a pleasure to work with. They worked quietly and respectful of one another and of us. They did a 'walkaround' prior to packing up...and a 'walkaround' at our new home before beginning the unloading process. They were relaxed and accommodating...and quite tolerant of our somewhat tense behavior...which is normal when rugs and furniture don't exactly fit the way you expected. It's also important to say that they provided enough personnel to accomplish the move with great efficiency. They adapted to our changes...with good humor and unlimited patience. And what is also worth noting...is that their efficiency brought the final cost under the original estimate. How often does that happen in business transactions these days? Hansen Bros. efficiently coordinated things from three places in order to finish my move: they loaded up furniture that was in permanent storage, they unpacked and repacked the contents of 2 PortaBoxes into the same truck, and they moved some heavy wardrobes and boxes at my apartment. After all of these things were loaded onto the truck, they drove to my new house. They unloaded all the boxes into the rooms as I directed. And surprise to me, my furniture wouldn't fit through a door (oops) so they removed a door so it would fit through and then put the door back. Very courteous guys again who did the move, and everyone this entire time was very professional. In reality, I never dealt with anyone unprofessional -- in fact, I think we were all just tired after a long long day of moving (9 hrs) and lots of stairs and we all forgot to do the final walkthrough on placement - I did all but the basement room without prompting but I should've done more. Original: The guys didn't put a bookcase where I asked them to after it wouldn't fit where I originally thought. They moved one but not both of the bookcases that wouldn't fit (and left the one that didn't fit on it's side in a room it can't stand up in so now I need friends to come help me move it). I should've double checked but forgot after a very long day.

Rick and Josh did an outstanding job delivering our furniture that had been in storage. On the morning of delivery, we had no power and there was a fallen tree blocking access to our house from one direction. But that didn't faze them - they arrived early (despite having to take a ferry and navigate the downed tree), and put furniture together in the dark. It was money well spent. Our move was over two days and both crews were great. We had a large number of boxes of books which we asked the movers to put all boxes marked "books" in the garage. The weather wasn't the best towards the end of the move (very wet snow coming down, one mover described it like a Slurpee falling from the sky). The day after the move we found close to 30 boxes in the garage clearly labeled for various rooms throughout the house. It was a lot of work to sort those boxes out and haul them in. That aside, they were very careful with our belongings, professional and personable. We only had two items break and I believe that was more due to our poor packing than how the boxes were handled. They were also incredibly patient with our chatty six year old!

The 2-man crew (Dallas and George) came about 1/2 hour before the time window which had been set up--we were delighted. They took a short look at what they had to do and got the job done (moving huge and heavy desk from one room to another) within 10 minutes. They knew just what they were doing. They did the little extras we asked for (like re-hanging a solid core door and affixing small pads under the tiny metal desk feet so they wouldn't scratch the floor, etc.). From start to finish, I estimate they were here for 15 to 20 minutes. They were friendly and professional. We truly appreciated their expertise!

My friend Woody suggested I call Hansen for my move. They were great!. Not only was I was able to arrange pretty much the whole thing via email, but even the forms to sign were easy to deal with and scan back. The guys showed up on time and seemed to take no time to load my stuff into the truck. When we got to my house, they figured out a way to back into my driveway so they could unload with out blocking traffic. They got stuff in the right room, put a couple things together for me and thought ahead to stack boxes for me in such a manner that I could eat and have a good stiff drink after the stress of moving. End of the day? I got my stuff moved, nothing broken and it came in $200 under estimate. I've already suggested a coworker give them a call when she moves in a few months.

A year ago I moved with Hansen Bros and it was an OK experience. The move itself was fine, but scheduling was a hassle. If you want full packing, before you can reserve a move date, a rep has to come and look at your stuff. So while you are waiting those extra days, your desired date could be lost. In my case they still gave me the date, but then called me about 2 days before asking if I could reschedule the move (I think over 2 days); I said no and they kept my date. 7 days ago I contacted them for another move. I have yet to get a call back from the rep to either confirm my date or schedule a visit to look at my stuff again.
