The Other Side Movers were hugely impressive! I've never had a total move and hopefully, I will never have another. The thought was just too overwhelming - not really knowing what to expect. However, this crew of guys were amazing. They packed up a huge kitchen - dishes, pots/pans, small appliances, shelving units, kitchen cart; they took great care of all my fragile art. I can't believe how they moved the heavy boxes down the stairs to the truck. The unpacking - and setting up - in my new home - equally impressive. These guys were not only hard workers, but they were personable and polite. (One of the guys even managed to get my kitty safely into her carry case!!) I would totally recommend The Other Side Movers to anyone who needs the service. ALSO: if you have decent furniture that won't be moving to your new house - call the Other Side Thrift Store. They came and picked up several nice pieces of furniture - I'm glad I didn't have to junk.

My husband and I recently moved to a new home. We hired The Other Side Movers to pack our existing home and move all our belongings. I reached out to the group about six weeks before our move and they visited our home about two weeks prior to do an inventory and estimate for us. Both encounters were incredibly positive and professional. On our packing day, Hardy, Bryan, Tim, and Kaden worked in our home for five hours packing up all our belongings. I cannot articulate enough how thorough, professional, and careful they were. As an event planner and long-time exhibit manager, I have worked with labor crews often. I was so impressed with how cohesive this group was. They worked so well together and were unfailingly courteous and professional to us and each other in their interactions. Often in an exhibit or large convention setup, the crew has one person that does not ‘carry their weight.’ I was delighted at how hard each of these men worked together. The next day after packing, the group arrived early in the morning for the move. That day we had Hardy, Bryan, Tim, and Jeff. My husband and I were amazed at how hard they worked. We could never have done this on our own. Hiring The Other Side Movers was a great decision, and we would hire them repeatedly. During the lunch break, Bryan told us about the typical day at The Other Side Academy. It was fascinating learning about the program and how committed each of these individuals is to it. Tristan, Kaden, Hardy and Kodjo were amazing! Kind, courteous, and so fast! They spent eight hours moving our stuff and it was worth every penny. It took all the stress off of us during our move. I’d recommend them to anyone!

We moved using The Other Side movers company. Our experience was stellar and phenomenal. Nothing less then excellence and professionalism, courteous, caring and kind, and honest. They cared about how items were loaded. Cared about where items went and were thoughtful & strategic in loading and unloading. They wrapped items for additional padding, too, really well. Our move took 10 hours and 3 trips. 2300 sq foot home plus garage plus 10x15 storage unit. The 4 gents worked hard the entire day. Their work as a team was impressive. If we ever need to move again…and I hope we never do, but if so…we will hire Tge Other Side Movers for any future moves. Thank you to The Other Side Movers!

Don't listen to Flava Flav... In the case of The Other Side Moving, DO believe the hype! We had some reservations initially in hiring them for our move, but reading through the reviews helped put our minds at ease. I have never seen five individuals work harder for as many hours as they did. It truly was amazing to watch. I also loved interacting with each of them and getting to know them and hearing some of their stories. What a cool program! I almost never write reviews, but I was so impressed in this case that I wanted to let others know about our experience. Jeff, Tyler x 2, Kaden, Tristan, and Tim: Thank you! You absolutely rocked it! I'd hire you all again in a minute. Best of luck to all of you in the future. I know you'll do great with the rest of your lives based on what I saw. Always respectful, extremely thorough and careful with everything, shockingly strong (I have a great picture of Kaden carrying a king-sized mattress by himself like it was nothing)... and also really funny. Great experience from beginning to end! They were very transparent about pricing over the phone and consistent with the estimate upon job completion. Tristan, Max, and Art did a great job. The Other Side Movers hopped all around the valley picking up and dropping off furniture. The 3-man team was quick, professional and cautious. Tim did an excellent job managing the job and explaining how everything works. Max has a way with furniture and being able to see just how something is will fit down a narrow hall. Kale, Jordan, Tim, and Austin were all outstanding in every way. I don’t trust any other company with my moving needs. They are so fast, hard-working, polite, and communicative. I understood what to expect throughout the moving process and they took extra care with fragile things. My roommates and I were somewhat disorganized and they were so patient and kind as we made decisions about things we hadn’t thought through yet. They also took great care with our pets in the household. Moving drives me insane, but The Otherside Academy makes it so easy it almost makes me wish I’d move again sooner than later to work with them again.

I have used a few moving companies in my day, and you will not find a better company. They deserve Salt Lake County and Utah awards, they're top-notch. My brother and mother both used them for a move and recommended them, and I'll say even with a high recommendation, these guys FAR exceeded my expectations. Here's what you can expect. -Showed up on time -Courteous/Kind/Friendly -Actively listened to what I needed -Remembered where things were in the house, and put them in the same place -Remembered my name -This company knows service. On top of this, the guys actually liked each other. I heard compliments over and over they'd give to each other. When you realize their brotherhood, they want the best for each other. On top of the exceptional service, the guys were running pretty much the whole time. It's like they were trying to save me money by doing it in less time. We hired The Other Side for a complicated, two-stage move, and we were amazed. Team leader David was professional and communicative, and he and Jordan, Jesse, and Jaden worked quickly, efficiently, and carefully. They hauled heavy furniture and cartons of books upstairs, navigated some tricky corners and staircases in old houses, and took extra care with our prized family antiques. They would actually *run* from task to task — we had to stay out of the way! Our dogs liked them, too. I hope never to have to move ever again, at least not soon, but I’d hire these guys again in a heartbeat. Great workers and nice guys.

Today, we had Jeff K., Max, and Ethan help us move our 1 bed/1 bath apartment into a 2 bed /2 bath apartment roughly ~15 miles apart. All three were polite, friendly, professional, efficient, and hardworking. They didn’t complain once even though I know I had some heavy boxes. They got right to work and clearly had a game plan of how to handle the job. I know that The Other Side is a non profit organization, but I didn’t want to pry into personal business or be rude. But Jeff was very sincere and open about the mission of the organization and its positive impact on lives such as his own. It’s a great cause to support people getting back on their feet, and they’re excellent workers. Despite being there for work, the atmosphere never felt too stiff or formal. We could casually chat about our favorite musicals while loading up boxes :) My old apartment was emptied in what felt like 1-1.5 hours, and the new place was filled back up in about the same time. They took care to wrap any delicates or furniture in wrapping or boxes as needed and always asked where the items should be deposited in the new place. They did a great job and I would hire their services again. They are great people and I wish them the best on their journey. :)

Incredible experience! We had to move with just one week’s notice, and with a 10-month old baby and flight of stairs we decided to hire movers. We were hesitant to spend money on movers but it was absolutely worth every penny. Justin, Austin, Tristan, and Lonnie were superstars today. Friendly, positive, professional, and such hard workers. They only needed 5 hours to wrap, load, and unload our very furnished 2-bedroom apartment. They had smiles on their faces, made a few good moving jokes, and I saw each of them all running up and down the stairs and through our apartment throughout the move. And they’re so strong! They had no problem moving our super heavy sectional and 2 Purple mattresses, along with more than 50 boxes and other furniture pieces. Justin even took time to point out staples on our couch that were coming through just as a potential safety issue. It was neat to learn more about the Other Side academy and program. This program should be nationwide. What a beautifully ingenious way to help people with reentry to “the other side.” This is the first and only moving company we will ever use, and I will be recommending them to everyone! They are so booked out, if that says enough about the demand for their services . They wrapped our stuff for a small charge, took care of our things, and we're super friendly and professional to talk to. You might be skeptical of their rating, but you shouldn't be. We walked through the house beforehand and I gave instructions, those were followed completely. I had a third floor 2 bedroom condo, including overstuffed couches and washer/dryer and other bulky and heavy items, and they had it emptied in an hour. They were running up and down the stairs. I was amazed. They wrapped everything extra careful in a lot of wrap and cardboard. I was taking most of it to storage, and they stacked it up great, so much that there was a walkway down the middle. The rest was separated as per my instructions, so I could take it in my car to elsewhere, and everything was split correctly to the right location. I cannot even describe to you how much I appreciated their work.

This is the first of many reviews I plan to do for these guys. I can NOT sing their praises nearly enough. They helped us move the equivalent of 3 well-packed 10x20 storage units to our new house and even though they were getting paid hourly, they REALLY hustled. I mean, quite literally, they would drop something off in a room in our new place and RUN back out to the truck for the next load. Let that sink in: middle of July and all the heat that entails, getting paid hourly, and they were RUNNING! I also feel like they did a great job moving our stuff as well. Were there a couple of scuffs and scrapes? Sure -- but you try moving all your stuff into a new place and see how well you do. I've done far more damage since our moving day as I unpack and readjust where stuff is located. Any future moves I make, if there is any possibility of hiring these guys, I will do it in a heartbeat!

The crew that was led by Cam their supervisor was on time, clean, friendly, hard working, honest, and helpful. After about 15 minutes of watching them work I had complete confidence that they would not only get the move done, they would do it fast, and I could trust them to ask questions, report any possible damage, and put boxes and furniture away in the appropriate room. They stacked everything in nice organized places so that we had full access to all rooms and could unpack easily. They cleaned up and took away old packing material. Each of the movers jogged back to the moving truck to get another load of boxes. Handling large furniture and heavy items safely and with the appropriate tools was easy for them compared to past movers I have used. I will hire them again when the need arises. Working with people like this is a pleasure and made our move so much easier.

These are diligent movers committed to doing their best to ensure a safe and efficient move. Some considerations... 1. If you have a large home or a great deal to move plan on making two or more trips or hire a company with a bigger truck. We made 2 trips which drive the cost up by at least another $300-500. a. Along this line I asked before hand if they had a truck large enough to accommodate the move since we only had a phone conversation and no onsite estimate. They assured me that the trucks were plenty big enough...sorry, they aren't. 2. You will be charged for everything that is used but this is not disclosed at the outset. We were charged for the plastic wrap and tape used by the movers. a.If you want some type of carpet protector...yep, there is a charge by the foot for this as well. They had booties but they were useless and shredded all over the carpet. Eventually the booties were discarded and not replaced. It was our choice not to purchase the protectant paper so... 3. They offer insurance but are self-insured. That means those that may have damaged an item are also those that will determine if it was their fault. We had some scratches on a piece of furniture and, frankly, after a 9.5 hour move I was in no mood to contest it. I just let it go...my.choice. 4. NOW...having said all of this, THESE GUYS ARE RESPECTUL, CAREFUL AND A PLEASURE TO BE AROUND. HIRE THEM!!! BUT BE AWARE OF THE THINGS I MENTIONED ABOVE. They take direction well, are amazingly strong, do their best to go as fast as they can without damaging anything and are truly committed to your satisfaction. I can attest to this after spending a full day+ with them. They are good and worth consideration to be in your short list for movers. Remember, too, that as prepared as you are is as happy as you will be when the move is over. If boxes are not marked clearly and end up in the wrong place, that is on you. They will put things where you tell them so if all of your underwear is in an unmarked box in the garage with another stack of boxes in front of them...you own it. We had an UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING experience. Absolutely EXCEEDED expectations. OTHER SIDE THRIFT (donation pick-up). We worked with Garrath and Jonathan. When moving furniture and items from the house, they went out of their way to make sure that the floors and walls were not damaged. The house is going to be totally renovated, but they still put down protective covers on the 50+ year old linoleum floor and didn’t make one mark anywhere when moving the heaviest sofa bed in the world out of the basement. They moved a HUGE upright piano through a tiny opening and out the front door – all without a scratch to the piano or the doorframe. Nice, polite, efficient, respectful, funny, and professional. Garrath and Jonathan made this a stress-free experience. OTHER SIDE MOVERS (Sugarhouse to Sandy). Anthony, Kaden, Tim, and Kale showed up exactly when they said they would arrive. They even called thirty minutes before to let us know when to expect them. They worked well as a team and were so efficient they had the van packed in record time (worked quickly but were very detail oriented in packing and wrapping furniture and household items). They were exceptionally respectful, helpful, and friendly. At the drop-off location, they made sure appliances and furniture were where we wanted and went to great lengths to make it work even if it was somewhat inconvenient at times. Another stress-free experience with this organization. Thank you!!

I have moved a handful of times and some how it always costs more than expected and something is usually broken or badly damaged. I did not have that experience with The Other Side Movers. These guys worked hard the whole time and were careful with everything from furniture to paintings to flat screens. After packing and moving a 6,500 square foot house, from Cottonwood Heights to Midway, not one thing was damaged. I know there is no way to guarantee that in the future but I was grateful that they pulled it off. Honestly, I was beyond impressed with the crew they brought and the overall work ethic. A team of 4 men showed up on time and they were all great to work with. These men were all dressed professionally , easy to talk to and strong. Here it is: I have moved 26 times in 30 years and have used national companies, local companies and everything in between. John, Austin, and Cameron were hands down the best moving experience ever. Very professional, very fast, very careful. They had my whole apartment emptied and ready to go to storage in under an hour and a half. They arranged my belongings in storage exactly as I needed for my access ease with pleasure. I only wish they had been around for my other 25 moves! We couldn’t more highly recommend The Other Side Movers (and want to highlight our specific team: Andrew, Jeffry, Charlie, Tyler, Dillan). We have moved 9x in the last 11 years and although many of the earlier moves were pizza and pals endeavors, we’ve worked with professional companies for at last 4-5. The Other Side Movers topped them all. Despite our last two moves taking 2 days (packing first day followed by moving and unpacking the second) they insisted it’d just be a one day affair and despite our disbelief they came through. They exhibited all the behaviors that matter: a detail-oriented conscientious approach to the estimate walk-through, a focus on care and customization (with respect to our wishes for packing, ordering and labeling sensitive items), terrific efficiency and upbeat professional attitude that was really pleasant to be around and apart of (because we all know even when you hire movers, you’re spending much of your day at the move site too). We were done during the 3pm hour. And on finally finishing our unpacking we found we’d only lost a single 60w lightbulb from a standing lamp in the process. If you read about this company you’ll find that they have an honorable underlying mission which is to rehabilitate those in need of another chance. Know that you won’t be compromising anything in putting your money towards this cause. It’s just an added bonus that the best moving company in Salt Lake City is mission-driven.

I don't have words to describe how truly amazing our packing/moving experience was Monday with Dalton, Austin, Adam and James. From the second they got there, they were courteous and efficient and extremely patient :) They walked us through and then literally RAN the entire time. My husband was convinced that it would take about 6 hours to load everything. It took an hour and 45 to completely pack a 26' truck. On top of that we still had enough left over to fill a 10 X 10 storage unit. The crew loaded THEIR truck, drove to the storage unit, and unloaded and packed the storage unit as well. I’ll never move my stuff again. The Other Side Movers are incredible. They were recommended to me by my real estate agent and several friends and neighbors. I love their mission statement. We hired a team of four. They moved a two bedroom one bath house full of heavy, heavy Midcentury furniture and books in 2.5 hours with travel. They were fast, efficient, and fit heavy stuff through strange doors and hallways to a science. Real pros. They wrapped everything to avoid damage which I didn’t expect at all and really appreciated. They hustled the entire time, sweating in the snow. Not a moments rest from the time they arrived until they left. If I’d asked my friends this would have taken a week or longer. I feel like a real grown up not asking my friends to help me move (again), and just paid for it this time. Good news for my friends: I’ll use The Other Side Movers forever. What an incredible moving experience that was. All of my items were handled with such care, they worked so hard, and I was met with such professionalism. I felt like their time was well utilized and overall it was a fantastic experience. I previously used Two Men and a Truck, and it was a horrible experience of running the clock, yelling in the hallways of both apartments, boxes full of dishes being dropped. I ended up paying double what my quote was because of how much they dragged their feet. I paid half of what I paid Two Men using Other Side Movers because they showed up, worked hard, moved quickly and efficiently, and just overall managed their time so well. I will never use another moving company again, what a truly great and impressive experience it was.

Due to extensive home renovations, we had to empty out our home into our garages. I have had these movers at my home twice in the past two months and had two different crews working. Both times the service was exceptional! The guys were respectful and courteous to me and my children, and they treat each other like brothers. I was helped by Andrew L., Blake, and Mark (Fall 2020). These folks are excellent, good movers with really good work ethics. They cleared the old apartment, GPS'd to the new location, and had the truck cleared in less than 2 hours, complete. Their story is also worth hearing. The only bump was a plastic wheel on an office chair, which was crushed accidentally. I was willing to let that go, but Blake actually told me one of their core values is taking responsibility and accountability for consequences, so they literally swept up the block to The Other Side Thrift Store, got me a replacement wheel, and had it installed on the chair in 15-20 minutes. I could not be more impressed with their work ethics, energy, and attitude. Great guys, really good organization! I was helped again by Andrew L. & Team (Spring 2021). These folks are still excellent, superb movers who pay attention to details and have great energy and attitude. Andrew even went above & beyond, helping me fine-tune the placement of a very bulky treadmill his team wasn't even responsible for. Truly great guys! Five stars~

Had some other movers we had booked for weeks cancel on us last minute (due to covid-19 complications); the first place I called was The Other Side. They had a team ready and at my house within 30 minutes same day (over Memorial Day weekend no less). It was more affordable than the previous company. And these guys KILLED IT. We paid the minimum two hours but these guys had it done within exactly one hour. In. Out. So professional. So quick. Stayed as safe as possible with following CDC guidelines during this pandemic. Got all of our things to our new place safely. And to top it off, this program is an amazing cause for their employees. I had a different crew the first time and both crews' performance was beyond a "Nordstrom" level of service. They either have something in their hands or they are jogging to get something into their hands. They did what I thought would be an 8 hour move in 6 hours. They didn't damage any furniture. There were only 3 minor scuff marks in the wall which is remarkable. It's a rare opportunity to hire a company that delivers on an exceptional experience and is giving back to our community. I moved 6 months prior to this and used a different company so I was hesitant to hire anyone again. The previous company took twice as long to move the same amount of stuff. The Other Side Movers were so fast, I couldn't believe it. They were right on time, efficient and courteous. One thing to note, which they didn't mention when I called to schedule, was that they have a policy that you don't have any drugs or alcohol in the home or if you do you will take care of it. I used The Other Side Movers on two occasions in the last month—once intentionally and once unintentionally. Both experiences were beyond wonderful. Let me explain.... We hired a highly known local competitor to move my family out of our home and into a storage unit. That company was extremely delayed, undermanned, over-priced, and unprofessional. The entire experience was literally traumatizing. It culminated in the-company-who-shall-not-be-named literally dropping our large gun safe down our flight of stairs, almost seriously hurting someone and severely damaging my home. At this point, I had no other choice but to call another company to finish the job. Enter: The Other Side Movers. The Other Side was at my house within an hour of me calling. They were all extremely friendly, polite, clean, happy, and professional. They quickly (and easily) moved the safe, as well as my piano that was in my basement. Their fee was a fraction of what I was paying their incompetent competitor. Because of this, the next day, I scheduled to have them move me from my storage unit into my new home about three weeks later. Today was move-in day. The Other Side showed up on time. They had a full crew of highly professional, courteous, respectful, and clean individuals. I was highly impressed with the level of supervision and mentorship that the more experienced crew members (most notably Cam) showed to the newer crew members. Their work ethic was outstanding. No exaggeration— throughout the entire day, these men were literally running back to the truck to get the next box after they dropped one off in my home. My jaw dropped. And— during this process, they were cracking jokes with one another and myself, showing real team camaraderie and personality. I never once heard any of them complain, say they were tired, or even ask for a break. These guys truly are a class act. At the end of the day, they did what it took their competitors three days to do. They didn’t damage a single thing. And their price was 30% less than their competitor. They are worth twice as much as they charge. When they left my home, I was floored at their job well done and so thankful that I hired The Other Side Movers. So... to my crew: Cam, Dustin, Antonio, Andrew, and Larry— THANK YOU. You’re officially invited to Christmas Dinner.
