The two 'hunks' should be renamed 'Hulks' because they made the haul look entirely too easy. My client had very heavy items to move out of the home and they did it ease, no complaints, and were exceptionally professional. They were understanding of the items especially after changing our minds of what stays, what goes. I very much appreciated their service. It is on the pricey side but hopefully they're able to donate most of the items. Thanks again. I would absolutely recommend their services.

Manny and Josh were great. Quick, efficient, neat...cannot say enough good things about the job they did. It was a bit difficult moving things around and they had no problem. My only recommendation is about scheduling, we were scheduled for 10 - noon but the HUNKS did not arrive until 3:30. The job before mine was emptying an apartment....which the scheduler knew in advance would take more than an hour. They should have scheduled me for the afternoon or the next day. I have used this facility in the past and would use them again....just a reminder to be mindful and accurate with timing and scheduling.

Richard and Joey did a great job with moving my things from one storage unit to another! They were very careful with my belongings and worked well together to efficiently get the job done. Richard alone worked like 2 men!! The move was this past Sunday on the hottest day of the year, 100°, and it didn't slow them down. The entire process was smooth from start to end. Beginning with the reservation process - I never thought that I could get something scheduled on the 1st of the month with only a few days notice, but it was easy. All charges were clearly explained, and communications from then on were frequent and clear. Zack, Love and Chris arrived right on time, and worked very efficiently and carefully. The college hunks were amazing and professional from start to finish. Once placing a request for movers I was contacted immediately and setup with a game plan and estimate of costs. Zach, Nick, and Chris called when they were on their way and even showed up a little early and got right to work with wrapping all our furniture in blankets to protect it and got everything moved in a timely manner. They managed the furniture around the house very carefully and fit everything through every awkward doorway along the move. Cici and Emanuel were fast, efficient and friendly. The price turned out to be close to the one quoted. Note that the trucks are somewhat smaller than they appear in the diagram on the website. That means you are much more likely to hit 1/4 of a truck load, say, the first cut off, than you thought just by eyeballing it. But if you don't like the on site quote, just say, "thanks, but no thanks", and off they go. They seem to have no shortage of customers. For me, the $10 over the minimum was well worth it because there was no way I was getting that couch out of the basement. I'm also over asking neighbors to risk hurting themselves helping me do something we're all better off getting younger, stronger, more experienced people to do. I'm into my second year of physical therapy co-pays. $89 is chump change by comparison.

It wasn’t the easiest job moving heavy furniture down a 5th floor walk up with small corridors but they got it done timely and without a hitch! I had a very small job bringing exercise equipment to the 3rd Floor. They gave me a quick appointment within 3 days of the evening I called. Chris and Love did get tied up at their first job but kept in contact throughout the day and when they arrived got my small job done in 20 minutes. They were very nice and professional. It was a bit more than I should have spent to have a pc. of equipment moved - but I was so happy to have it done so quickly and professionally and I did not have to worry about calling a friend or neighbor who might hurt themselves.

We are having our 2nd Floor Master Bathroom renovated. We received our 72" Vanity that weighed 380 lbs. I started searching for companies that might handle my job. They would need to move it to the 2nd floor (center hall colonial, up 8 stairs to a landing, turn, then up 6 more stairs). I Googled to find moving companies. Many companies were not interested, and I then came upon College Hunks. I thought the name was hilarious, called them, and booked the job last week. Three young men arrived today. They struggled with the heavy vanity, the stairs, the turns, but successfully moved it to a bedroom on the second floor! No damage to wallpaper or anything else. They were very careful. I am 100% satisfied with their execution. They were very nice Hunks as well! I would recommend you consider College Hunks for your little or big move!

College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving did a great job relocating a couch from our son’s house in New Jersey up to the Schenectady New York area. The two young men from the company , Zach and Chris, arrived at the time they said they would arrive to pick up the couch in New Jersey. When they arrived at our home and unloaded to couch they were both very pleasant and professional and did an awesome job getting it in without damaging anything. The couch itself was extremely well wrapped. They took away all the garbage after they unwrapped to couch. Very pleased with this service!

Excellent company. Their standards are above all others. Great care taken in not damaging any piece of furniture. Extra care given to electronics. Even put down floor liners to protect the floors while moving things in and out. Very polite staff, neatly dressed in uniforms. Staff works very quickly but efficiently. Their trucks are clean and nicely outfitted. There is an obvious sense of pride in what they do. That's why I've used them several times in the past for clean outs as well as two moves, and will continue to use them in the future. Great work guys!!!

We have used them in the past for unloading cargo and they were always professional and very hard working. We are located right across the parking lot from them and I needed a quote to clean out our warehouse. They came right over, gave a very reasonable price and were there the next day to do the job. Then two days later we received a shipment that was destroyed, a whole container was damaged and we needed to unload and discard asap! I went over and told them what happened. They made room for us in their schedule right away. It took three pickups to get it done but they did it all. The cargo wasn’t pleasant but not one complaint. They came earlier than planned but it worked out! They were in and out with what was needed. We were worried due for the bulkiness but they made light work of the job. This is the second time I used this service and the second time I was impressed! Would recommend and use again!

College Hunks Hauling Junk were quite professional. My move was one large bedroom, several packed boxes, small dinette set, a bench, small desk, desk chair, another chair. When I initially phoned to request an estimate we spoke about what I had which was relatively small and they sent an estimate over in terms of labor and itemized the pieces of furniture number boxes to be moved and price would be adjusted as necessary. They texted the day prior to say that they were scheduled to arrive the next day and then they texted the morning of to confirm their window. The guys were very polite and helpful. They explained the cost as well as explained insurance should we have wanted any. When we got to where we were going to unload, they took instruction well, worked quickly remove their wrapping and blanketing and we settled up on the bill. I do plan to utilize the company for a basement storage cleanup. Tchi and Eman - April 4, 2022 - College hunks hauling junk once again did incredible job. It started off a little rocky in that it took four phone calls to receive a quote. Apparently there were technical difficulties and it wasn't coming through email. The phone receptionists were pleasant enough and we finally worked it out. The day of the move they called when the truck was 40 minutes out. They were scheduled to arrive between 8AM and 9AM and arrived at 9:15. The movers were courteous and professional. I helped them carry things from the second floor to the first floor and they really appreciated it (this also probably saved me an hour of labor). Reasonable care was taken with items and no significant damage occurred. One thing the Hunks told me that the company did not is that they ask not to take flat screen televisions and if you need them to, you have to sign a waiver that they are not responsible for damage. They took mine and wrapped it in at least three blankets and it made the move fine. They also could not drive on the GSP, but they got to the destination in good time. The estimate was accurate and everything went smoothly.

The company was very responsive and communicated well prior to the move. They showed up on time and ready to work, and two of the three worked diligently; the third was more "casual," but I don't think it made a big difference. The in-move resulted in some scuff marks up a freshly painted staircase, which was not totally unexpected, but there were also some aggressive dings and scrapes in places that should have been easily avoided (two through straight doorways that had ample room and access). One dresser drawer had a 3" chunk taken out of a corner, which was mystifying since the drawers were removed for the in-move. What irritated me most was finding it myself after they left. The missing chunk was placed inside the drawer, so someone knew it had happened. I repaired it with wood glue.

They called ahead of time to let me know they're a little behind and called me again when they were 30 minutes out. The manager introduced himself and the 3 "hunks" who would be doing the job. After looking around, he gave them the game plan and left. The guys were friendly and smiling even after what I know had been a long day for them. The two gentlemen who came not only did the work efficiently but they were very helpful with the process. In short, one of the items removed was a fridge in my basement and they had to take it apart in order to get it through the doors. Next handrails needed to be removed from the stairs and it was able to fit through. They were on time, professional, courteous, and most importantly...persistent! The house we were moving into seems to have the narrowest doorways in America but they tried each item that seemed like it wouldnt fit SEVERAL times and most of the time they were able to do it! We even had a washer and dryer delivered by home depot earlier in the day and the home depot delivery guy refused to try and bring them in because he said that he could just tell it wouldnt fit...well we figured we would ask Lupe and Sam because why not, and they were such troopers to agree to try it AND managed to get them in!! I will be recommending this company to anyone I know who is moving. Amazing service and AMAZING prices!

I used College Hunks on 8-4-2018. I was extremely pleased with the service i received. I met my two drivers at my storage unit which by the way was one small one and one large one. Then we went to my residence. We arrived at our final destination in Boonton NJ. this day was hot and 100% humidity. The two young men who moved me were extremely polite, courteous, and kind. They treated my belongings as if they were their own. Unfortunately for them they were unable to get up my driveway. They tried backing up and forward to no avail. They carried and walked up an entire truck load of my belongings, not only up a steep driveway but my outside stairs which are 15 then another 2 flights of stairs. I realize that this is there job, but they were with me from 12:05 pm to 10:30 pm. I made sure they remained hydrated but they did not stop to even eat. I am sure their families had not anticipated them being so long at this job. They were exhausted although they never complained and only praised the company they work for. I am not a moving company but this should have been a four man job. I told the office when i made the reservations i had 2 storage units and a 2 bedroom house which included two queen sized beds with furniture. Perhaps in the future someone in the office should come and see the job a head of time. Not only was it twice the amount quoted but the two workers worked in the dark. If 4 workers came the job could have been done in the quoted time and in day light which is much safer for your workers.i would recommend your services but when i do i will ask the clients to have someone from your company come and see the job before making any reservations.

The crew did an outstanding job. I needed fixtures unloaded off tractor trailers, and brought into a retail store. In addition, they had to go around the building up a ramp, to get the stuff into the front doors. They also took out the pallets for me and disposed of them into the containers I had provided in the back of the store. Overall, I was more than pleased with how professional and helpful they were with everything. I will DEFINITELY use them again for future jobs like this.
