My experiences with Metro Moving were nothing less than a dream! I couldn’t have prayed for a better experience. This wasn’t a traditional move in the sense of going from one home to another. I was remodeling, redecorating and replacing furniture and appliances throughout my house. I had a 15 yard dumpster which the guys packed completely filled in an organized fashion, maximizing the amount of space by at least 70%. I had some furniture delivered to a storage unit while renovations were underway . Once completed, they delivered my furniture from storage back to my home. I also had them pick up and deliver several large pieces of furniture and appliances I had purchased locally around town, as well as transport some furniture to a consignment shop. Everything was completed in an efficient manner and at a very competitive price. I’ve learned from past moving experiences that when it comes to moving you get what you pay for, and that is one thing I would never skimp on again! I actually had one experience with a well known company which ended up costing me more to repair and replace several damaged items than the actual cost I was charged for moving… and yes, I still had to pay them for “moving” and breaking my furniture!!! With that being said, I strongly suggest reading customer reviews before hiring anyone. Many of these “mega moving” companies actually have awful service with an awful price to match. One thing I can assure you is that when it comes to cost effective, high quality service, you will not find better than Metro Moving . It is clearly evident these guys have been doing this work for many years in order to be at the level of service and professionalism they provide.

I can not tell you how impressed I was with the movers from Metro Moving LLC. After our out-of-state moving company cancelled on the day of our move, Metro Moving LLC was able to pack up our uhaul (that we had to secure very last minute!) the next day! They fit all of our belongings in a 15' truck (the only available size) and did it quickly and professionally. I was truly blown away and can not recommend them enough. They are the real deal!

Metro Moving was great from start to finish. The dispatcher, Dana, was very helpful, and professional while coordinating my move. She recommended that I use a team of four movers based on the amount of furniture/boxes I was moving. On moving day Eric and his crew showed up on time, ten minutes early actually, and got right to work. They started out wrapping all of my furniture for protection. They managed to move my two bedroom shotgun with lots of furniture and lots of boxes in only four and a half hours, even in light rain. I would totally recommend Metro Moving, especially Eric and his crew to anyone looking to move! The guys worked non-stop, were careful, and very friendly. The price was extremely fair. They definitely live up to their reputation. I've moved with large moving companies before, and these guys were by far better.

Had to move quickly from one house to another and Metro Moving LLC couldn’t have been more helpful. We called on Friday to see if they had availability and they helped us move that Sunday. In less than four hours they moved all our furniture from our living room, kitchen, bathrooms, and 3 bedrooms into our new house. They easily disassembled and reassembled many furniture pieces that wouldn’t fit out of our doors and carefully wrapped everything so nothing would open or get damaged. I was blown away by what they were able to do and I can’t imagine a better experience with a moving company. Highly recommend!

I would most definitely recommend Metro Movers. They all exhibited great customer service and a positive attitude. Dana that help to coordinate the move and kept me inform of next steps. The 4 movers were great. My move was a difficult one. I lived in a townhouse that was located on the second and third floor and moved to an apartment on the second floor. My furniture was very heavy and the movers had to use some unique skills to maneuver the furniture from one place to the other. At no time did they complain.

Moving my daughter and her roommate was a great experience with Metro! The guys were prompt, friendly and efficient. The move included moving some heavy furniture up to basically the 3rd floor of a house. The guys did it without complaint in "feels like" temps of over 100! I loved using this company! I had been through many companies in the past, but when moving into a house I had purchased...I wanted it done right this time. I must have called a few times with questions, and the office manager never seemed to mind that I had concerns; which is why I chose them to do my move :) They handled my items carefully, moved quickly ( I had three men), and set up my bed and dresser again. The packers were great, did a three bedroom, 2 bath home in less than 8 hours including lots of artsy stuff my folks had. The move was done in 6 hours the next day and went smooth as clockwork. Today was the second time I've used Metro Moving. The first time I found them accidentally since they were the only movers available when I needed to move out of my apartment after Ida. They came on time and were well prepared. I had a 3 person crew and each one of the guys were very pleasant, accommodating, super helpful. They also moved my very quickly. I was so happy with how my move went that I decided to use them again today. Dana was helpful and even though I had to push my move date back she still had a great attitude and was able to accommodate the change. I got the same 3 person crew again and just like the first time, they were all super nice, very helpful, and I had the same great experience as before. Again, they worked very quickly and got my truck packed up within an hour. They were a little late to start (about 15mins) but I was told in advance and because I knew this could possibly happen I already planned my day accordingly so it was not an issue for me. I'm moving out of state so I will not be able to use them again unfortunately but I honestly wish I could bring them with me! I would highly recommend using Metro Moving for anyone in the area.

Had to move my office the first of December in 2017. Metro was very efficient and professional. The weather was bad but, I had to move anyway. Metro loaded as much as they could on the truck and could not get off the truck for another day and 1/2 due to the rainy weather. Dana made sure my furniture was delivered and went over and above to see that my large receptionist's desk was moved to my new location. I highly recommend Metro Moving.

Absolutely Amazed at how fast and professional; the move was. I was hesitant about using a company as I have primary used Uhaul or pickups to move. This was worth every penny. Showed up on time, easy to communicate with, schedule the move and all with a smile. They handled the things labeled fragile like they were from the Louvre, to include precision packing to ensure nothing shifted in transit. Of all the headaches with moving that are unavoidable, having the peace of mind that I didn't have to pack, move and unload everything for our new home in a tired rush was sheer bliss. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Very happy that they accommodated me from one day to the next. I think they were very expensive. I moved 2 streets down and hired a 3 men crew so it would be fast and they started at 10am and took 6 Hours. I did enjoy the staff, they were funny, professional, and kind But My family's has flipped homes a few times and we have moved, everything and assemble it in half the time. As a first timer using a moving company, trusting people you don't know with ALL of your personal belongings can be a bit scary. I emailed Metro Moving and quickly got a return phone call from Dana. She quoted me an extremely reasonable price (compared to other companies who quoted me double). She was very thorough with explaining the process and was patient with me and the hundred phone calls I made to her asking so many questions. She called the day before to confirm, which put my anxious mind at ease after reading terrible reviews about other moving companies not show up. Dana also called me the morning of, which she said she would, to let me know the movers had left the facility and were on their way. Three guys showed up, walked around the house for me to show what they needed to take, sign papers, and started the clock. These movers WORKED THEIR BUTT OFF- They did not play around and were as polite as could be. They were efficient, friendly, pleasant and delicate with our belongings. We didn't hear them bang anything against a wall once. They asked a lot of questions if they were unsure of things we told them to leave or for them to take, which I really appreciated. This company charges by the hour and they were very respectful of our time and worked very quickly to get the job done. We had them move our things into a storage unit and will definitely be using Metro Moving again when we move out of the unit into our new home. Thank you so much, Dana, for everything and your crew was wonderful! I recommend them to anyone that needs reliable hardworking people to help you move. Needed a moving company for mid Dec,called around.Prices were all over the place,called Metro Moving spoke with Ms.Dana.Metro’s price was reasonable and I was absolutely taken by Ms.Dana’s friendliness and professionalism.I was in contact with Dana before the move ,the day of the move.The movers arrived as scheduled on a dreary,cold day and immediately began to work.A walk thru was done first,then they proceeded to wrap up furniture that needed wrapping,moving boxes.There were very steep steps ,how they managed to go down those steps with the fridge and the hutch was amazing!!!Tony and his crew were very professional,curtious and efficient.I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to anyone.Thanks Metro Moving,for a great Move!!!!!!

I found Metro Moving via Yelp. I figured, if most of the reviewers had good experiences, mine would be the same - and it was. I called Dana for a quote, she responded with a detailed estimate and a phone call the very next day. After comparing quotes for three other local companies i made my reservation with Metro, gave a deposit, and my move was in motion. The movers called me 30 mins prior to arrival. They showed up right on time, introduced themselves, and got to work. They handled all items with unbelievable care both loading and unloading. I would definitely recommend and use Metro Moving in the future.

Best money I ever spent !!! There was one small hiccup which I will explain, but I let it go after seeing how hard these guys worked, how careful they were with our belongings and how professional & courteous they were on site....We hired Metro Moving to come to our new house and move all of our furniture and belongings up a 12 foot flight of stairs. The only problem I had was on the scheduled morning, at the eleventh hour, the final confirmation call came to let me know that the movers were about to leave & head my way. I was told at that time that they didn't realize that our address was kind of far from the city ( roughly 27 miles) and that there would be an additional "trip charge" that the lead crew member would discuss with me upon arrival. I asked why this wasn't quoted to me from the beginning when I fully disclosed our new address to begin with and it was explained to me that they didn't realize the distance when I obtained my initial quote. The issue here for me wasn't the charge itself ( we knew we were moving outside of the immediate area and I would have been more than happy to agree to a reasonable "travel time" when obtaining my estimate) it was the fact that you would think that a "professional licensed moving company" would realize distances and factor that into their estimates before quoting prices. At that point, I really felt like they had me over a barrel, but cancelling was not an option, so instead of flying off the handle, I decided to remain calm, hear out what the lead crew man would have to propose and either negotiate or make a decision based on his presentation. Frankly speaking, I had set aside $80.00 cash to be split 4 ways as a tip to each person that would be there, and I figured if they showed up with an outrageous "trip charge" , then it would just come out of their "tip money" and I would even the score so to speak !!! They arrived in a timely manner, each man introduced himself with a handshake with Tony being the lead crew member. He explained that as far as the "trip charge" goes, he would like to just figure an extra 1/2 hour into their total time (so it basically added up to another $75.00). So, I spoke my peace and explained that it wasn't appreciated how that was just sprung onto me at the last minute, to which he accepted blame & responsibility for not realizing the distance until he punched the address into his GPS. We agreed on the amount, and still, frankly speaking, I knew I had that "tip money" put aside which now covered the last minute "trip charge" . At that point, they went to work with their only request being that either me or my wife stand at the top of the steps and direct them as to where to put everything when they bring it up. We had a lot of furniture to move, with a ton of extremely heavy items such as king size tempurpetic mattress and bed sets, extra large refrigerator, 2 gun safes (which were no small feat considering they weigh close to 450 lbs ea. & which could have resulted in extra charges, which WAS explained to me beforehand when I got my quote ), a sectional couch with recliners, a very large, heavy antique armoire with mirrors that dates back to the 1850's, and then many, many boxes of just stuff. They got everything up & in without so much as a scratch on anything and they even brought to my attention a crack in a wooden desk before they moved it so I would not think they did it !! It took them roughly 2.5 hours in suffocating & sweltering heat & humidity and needless to say, I was impressed !! More importantly though, was that in this small time frame and between them working & catching their breath, we would talk about things in general & in the end, I realized that what they accomplished in 2.5 hours would have taken me & some beer buddies 2.5 weeks and ultimately would have cost me a whole lot more than a simple "trip charge". So I gladly accepted the added 1/2 hour to their time, paid them for their services and then made sure I put in each persons hands a $20.00 tip ( $80.00 ) that they without a doubt earned !!!

Tony and his crew did a great job filling my cube. I thought I was going to need two cubes, but they managed to fit everything into one, thereby saving me some money. Although they were running late because a previous client took longer than expected, Dana made sure to let me know and keep me updated. They provided three guys but charged me for two. The move was completed within a reasonable amount of time as well.
