Everything I encountered from the initial phone call I made to the final email I sent from Good Time Moving was exceptional. It was a pleasure to work with a group that was both kind and professional. There was no need to worry about making a tough decision because of them. Even though it was 7 a.m. when they arrived on moving day, they were cheerful and efficient and worked tirelessly to make sure my new apartment was exactly how I had envisioned it. Throughout the whole moving process, they were there for me. The workers also picked up my moving boxes once I moved. Everyone I worked with was terrific, and every email, phone call and face-to-face encounter was wonderful. I want to thank you for being excellent employees and good people!

I needed help moving from my 3rd story apartment with no elevator to a new home. It was a pain in the move going down stairs around tight corners. They did a good job. Had positive attitudes and honored every request provided within reason. It was a hot humid day and the movers needed to take some breaks to recover which I had no qualms about. Very satisfied and turned out as expected.

I was very pleased to get a quote and have changed places to conduct my move. I only needed a 'man in a van' style moving but having searched for too long to find one I trusted, I knew they were right for me. Everything was arranged and I gave him a call to confirm everything a couple of weeks before the move. He was very polite. On the day of the move, everything went smoothly and he kept me informed of his arrival time. Loading of the van was easy and we then set off. I really enjoyed talking to the crew the whole way, very nice guys! The dropping off took no time at all and it was all finished. No stress, no extra charges, no parking charges. All included. I have been in the restaurant industry for over twenty years, which means I’ve moved a lot over that time. I have used multiple different moving companies during that span and can say my experience with Good Time was by far the best. The movers (Mike, Poncho, and Adam) showed up on time, did a quick walk-around assessment of what needed to be moved, communicated the plan of attack, and got after it. There were no smoke breaks or dead time just standing around. They didn’t stop from start to finish...and I was moving a two story home. The move started in middle Tennessee and ended in central Alabama. No lag time in route where you get to the destination and the movers mysteriously don’t show up forever, then when they do they’re slow and lethargic. Nope. They were right behind me and attacked the job with the same urgency as when they first arrived. Very impressive work ethic shown by these gentlemen which is hard to find these days. They also showed great care in regards to wrapping all furniture with pads, taped down, and plastic wrapped. As an employer myself I can say these guys take pride in what they do and understand how to represent their brand well. Kudos guys! PS: After getting five quotes from other companies Good Times beat all other prices.

We had two Pods scheduled to be delivered to our new home on a Friday when we had the resources to unload them, but only one arrived. The other arrived on Saturday with no one to help -- until I called Good Time. Angie was so pleasant on the phone, empathetic and resourceful and ultimately had two great guys out to unload our pod within a couple of hours. They were professional, experienced and operated with great care, and they even assembled our two beds so we can actually sleep in our new home. They even went the extra step to haul away boxes. I asked for 3 movers and a truck for a very good rate. The movers showed up right on time, and got straight to work. Not once did anybody look at their phones or waste a single minute of time. They got all of my furniture out of my 3rd floor apartment, across town, and fully unpacked into my new house in less than 3 hours... and couldn’t be nicer while they were doing it! The men the sent were very nice, but we're not the "professional" movers promised by the company. We had several antiques to move and were charged a higher dollar amount to get their best movers experienced in moving antique furniture. They broke a piece of an antique desk that I pointed out had very fragile areas to watch for. When the moved stuff into our storage units I constantly had to tell them to watch out for the legs and bottoms that are very fragile. They would try to squeeze stuff up against other furniture that had bolts that could damage the other furniture. They broke the glass out of one of the kitchen cabinets. They scratched up the door to the storage room where they were moving furniture out of and then denied that it happened. I had to repaint the door. They didn't know how to pack the furniture into the Uhaul that they rented and I had to tell them a better way to put the furniture into the truck so they could fit our all of our furniture into it. This company was anything but professional. The rented a u haul hired a few guys and sent them over. The come across as a moving company but are just a shell company that appears to hire day laborers and rent Uhaul to m9ve your stuff. Because we were on a struck time frame we had no choice but to use them since the moved our stuff on a Friday and we were leaving our property on Sunday. If I hadn't been watching them as closely as I was we would have had a lot more damages and would have not seen them until we moved our stuff out of our storage units.

During my move in March 2018, the original company called us an hour before the scheduled time and told us they had an emergency, which was of course not their fault. Imagine it was the afternoon of the day you have to move out, and your movers couldn't come. I called a dozen companies in Nashville. Some didn't offer same day service or they charged very steep prices. When I explained to Daniel at Good Time what happened, not only did they come within a 3 hours notice, but their prices were still very fair/affordable. I honestly wished there was an option to give them more stars. We were in a studio that was unfortunately very far from the elevator. Yet, the 2 movers were able to move everything from our old place (even with Nashville downtown rush hour traffic) to the new apartment within 2 hours. They were very professional. Despite being charged per hour, they didn't take any break, and they used cloth when possible to make sure the wooden furniture and floor wouldn't be damaged. It was dark by the time we got to my new place. One of the items I had was a black bag with rods for curtains and clothing racks. It was accidentally left on the truck. When I realized that after they left, I contacted them soon after and offered to pick it up. Instead, someone from their team dropped it off at my place. I don't write reviews very often, but they honestly saved the day with my moving experience.

I used Good Time Moving & Storage for a local move. We had a team of four movers and were loaded and unloaded in an hour and a half under the quoted time. Victor and Jacob were great. I'm not going to write a paragraph about Victor but I could. Treated my things better than he would his own and packed our POD like a damn champ. Our movers arrived at 11:15am – not between 8am and 10am so we got a late start. I was told they were late because they went to the warehouse to get some special packing material for the glass on the table tops. However, the packing material they brought was standard to pack breakables which should be normal. At 11am, I received a phone call asking how to get into the building and was asked “what are we doing anyway?”. One person did not have any experience packing. The packing was taking so long because of this that my husband and I ended up doing 85% of the packing. I scheduled a move that included packing and they arrived with boxes only – no tape, scissors or markers to label the boxes. My husband had to go to Lowes to get more packing tape. It was a very hot day and it took a long time. I rated the move good when I paid so as not to make them feel bad. I gave each mover a nice tip because they were exhausted. The movers need more experience, packing training, professional customer service training and they should bring packing tape and mark the box showing contents. Packing training should include how to pack a wardrobe putting the clothes in the proper order from how they are taken from the closet.

Setting up my move was easy and I enjoyed working with Daniel. Our movers were on-time, experienced, and very hard working. I cannot say enough good things about Sam and his partner, the movers. I was a bit surprised when they told me that my house looked like a 3 hour move, when I thought it was a 2 hour move. I was brought an estimate for a 3 hour move and was not pleased with the price. Luckily, Sam and his partner completed our move in 2 hours and I was not charged for any additional time. A few days after my move, I was contacted by Daniel to remind me that I had not yet left a review for their service. I asked for a copy of my final charge so that I could go over it before I wrote a review. The receipt was very confusing and things didn't seem to add up. Daniel spoke to me on the phone to explain the charges and eventually things were cleared up. I had not been over-charged, but rather the company's receipts do not show the total that you've been charged, plus deposit, and then an itemized list of fees or deductions that lead to your final charge. My advise - get complete clarity on your charges with Daniel. The company's billing system does not show charges, groupons, discounts, etc. very clearly at all. While Daniel was more than willing to take time to talk me through these details - he did more talking at me and over me than listening. His manner is pleasant and professional, but this company still has a little ways to go to get 5 starts.

Daniel was very friendly and accommodating, and really tried to work with me. The actual movers Shawn and Sam work very well together. They took care of my belongings and got a very difficult piece in a small tight area. They did not give up. I also enjoyed their fun personalities. It helped a very long and stressful day. This is a tough score for me. It should actually reflect a 3.5, which is not bad. There is however room for improvement. I do feel that with the small number of items I had to move, and the distance between residences off the Harding exit to off the Moore's Lane exit in Brentwood, we should have been finished a bit sooner. A tip was also brought up a few times, and followed by actually asking if I left a tip and how much. That is extremely tacky. I would suggest not ever doing that again. It's not professional business etiquette. All that being said, thank you so much for your services!

Though careful and arrived on time, a 3 hour quote turned in to 5 1/2 move and an extra $280. Do your research and ask the questions. I'm torn on the review because the experience is really down the middle. After quoting several local businesses I chose this one. Specifically when booking they ask you if it is a house or apartment. I was moving from apartment to apartment and 3rd floor to 3rd floor. I gave them a list of every furniture item: couch, 2 tvs, queen bedroom set, and desk. The rest was about 20 stacked and taped boxes ready to go. I was quoted $500 for 3 hours of work. Told it would take 30 to 45 minutes to load and unload plus the drive. My movers showed up right on time to the minute, were polite and ready to work. However, they were told it was 1st floor to 1st floor not 3rd to 3rd. They wrapped everything and loaded it..in 2 1/2 hours. None of my furniture was damaged so far as I can tell and nothing fragile got broken. All in all I was charged for 5 1/2 hours of moving at $280 above quote. Then told that the booking individual probably saved me money because he didn't enter the floors and they charge $15 to $25 more an hour per flight of stairs so told me I was saving money in the long run. A crock obviously because they knew up front before I booked. Begrudgingly , we now owed them for nearly 3 more hours of work. Though careful and polite they took their time. They say there is a flat $125 fee for travel time and gas, and that you won't be charged on top of that time until they start unloading again, but I believe I was. Finally, I went to pay and carefully read through everything and asked if I confirmed if my payment would go up or if this was it, he said this is it and hit next and it tried to add a $29.75 fee for paying with a debit card. I said whoa, that is ridiculous that isnt in any paperwork or disclosures. He called his boss and his boss said it was in the estimate he sent but he would waive it. I promptly pulled up my estimate and agreement and it was not listed.. so.. the movera were careful but took their time to stretch the gours to make more money. They also asked if I only asked for 2 movers...I didn't ask, that's what they told me. I needed.

What went well...Overall the three man crew was very nice and worked hard for the most part. They are primarily the reason I'm giving a rating of 3 in lieu of a 2. I've been moved professionally across country with government contracted companies and there is a major difference as it relates to quality, but for a local move less than five miles away they aren't bad. What didnt go well.... They did not call prior to their arrival and claimed they arrived at 900 when my neighbor told me they arrived at 915. The crew ran out of pads to wrap my furniture and didn't thoroughly inventory the items. Unloading started to drag which doesnt make sense when there are three guys. They also bent my dryer vent due to propping it up against the wheel base of the UHAUL truck they rented. Per their contract I gave them an opportunity to correct this and was met initially with questions. Ultimately they agreed to have someone come repair my dryer vent, but he never made it or stayed in contact. What I would do differently....Would I use them again, probably not but nothing is missing or broken and I didnt have to move anything heavy. I'd definitely check around and get rates from other companies, and specifically look into the charging of sales tax.

One guy was GREAT, the second mover was slow, on the phone, smoking and had to take a long bathroom break. Also watch out for hidden fees. They didn't show me on my initial bill, but they charge $40 per quarter hour if you go over, which is fine, but one of the movers was so slow no wonder we went over!
