Just completed a move with these guys and it went perfectly. Randy did a visual walkthrough a few weeks in advance to generate the estimate, because the wood shop was too complicated to estimate accurately with the online tool alone. He suggested a 4-man, 2-truck team—one for the house, and one for the wood shop. It was the right decision. The move team was punctual; fast, coordinated, and careful. They moved 3 bedrooms and an entire wood shop to our new house in just 4 hours. AND they came in below the estimate. Jerome, Benji, Ladarius, and Kalvin, thank you! You were thorough and did a great job navigating the icy terrain without even falling! We appreciate you and will definitely keep you in mind in 10+ years when we move again!

Marshall and his crew were great. They worked hard and finished early (saving us some money as a result). One thing that really impressed me is if you asked them anything they immediately said "Yes, of course." We had them put some things in one room but then decided a different room would be better. Without hesitation they picked up everything and moved it to a different room. This made moving so much easier. Everyone on the crew was personable and professional. Would definitely recommend.

Had nothing but a great experience! They were completely professional and accomodating even though I had to change my appointment two times. Benji & Marshall did an amazing job!!!! They were prompt and took care in moving some large items from a downtown condo to an older house. They were quick and careful and made my move as stress free as possible. Priced lower than two other companies I checked out and that's why they initially received my business; but for future needs I would contact them because they are also the best at moving.

I needed to move a number of pieces of furniture around to maximize space in my studio condo. The YMM crew were on-time, very professional (and very pleasant) young men. They were very careful with my things and all I had to do was point (and stay out of the way!). And they were FAST!! You Move Me was great! The time/# of guys was right on for the quoted estimate. Everyone from scheduling to packers/movers were friendly and helpful, informative and efficient. They had plenty of supplies and packing materials as needed. Marshall and Benji arrived 1st (calling before arrival). They quickly assessed the job and got to work. I was confident in their care of packing fragile items and moving heavy furniture. Ladarius and Anthony arrived later and moved quickly wrapping and protecting furniture and organized my storage unit. They even trudged through deep snow around my house to get big items out from lower level. Everyone was receptive to my requests and never complained on the coldest day of the winter so far!! I’m so glad I did. They were able to squeeze me in and the movers were fabulous - they protected the furniture, were extremely professional and just so darn nice. We hired 'You Move Me Minneapolis' end of August to move us. While the move went 80-90% to perfection, what bothered me is something that could have been easily rectified. I understand accidents happen. However, I hired a company that was licensed and insured so that if anything was broken it would be reimbursed. Isn't that was anyone expects when moving? Well a crew mover accidentally lifted up a 12 ft rug after bringing it into the foyer at our new house, it accidentally slammed against the chandelier. Glass rained down. We took pictures, the crew leader took pictures. After closing I never heard anything - were they planning to replace the chandelier that they were 100% at fault for breaking? So after 2 long weeks, I emailed Jake Spolar. It was never responded to. It was ignored. So I guess I have my answer. SOL. This was not a million-dollar chandelier, it was the principle, you break it, you fix it. Moral: If you don't mind that they will never reimburse for things they break, go ahead, hire them. They will ignore you post move too.

I would have given 5 stars but one of the team members dropped the small table from a set of 3 nesting tables and it broke one of the brace or bracket pieces around one of the screws that hold it together. But overall, I would hire them again.

Marshall and Blake were awesome. They caught a problem in the quote that I had been given to me by the call center and they called me ahead of time to run it by me before they came out. Their supervisor, Anthony, was very reasonable to work out the issue with me and I am 100% satisfied with the compromise and the service that these lovely ppl provided. 10/10 would do again. Originally, I was quoted a price that was lower than the AAA movers and Locomotion movers. However, that was incorrect and the correct quote was comparable to AAA and Locomotion. Despite this, the customer service and accommodation from You Move Me was wonderful and given that the price would have been about the same, I would still go back to You Move Me in the future.

You Move Me was nice enough to accommodate myself and my boyfriend when we called last minute the day before our move the day before end of month. We were so lucky to have Alex and Marshall be the two people to start our move. When I say”start” it’s because one hour into it the freight elevator at my apartment stopped working. We had to come up with a new plan which only made it more difficult for them and they both never once complained or became irritated as they had move the truck along with moving our boxes and furniture in an elevator that was not meant for that purpose. Shortly after the elevator stopped running two more guys showed up to help them. Joe and Collin. They did it to help their co workers and to help us get this done as fast as possible as I had to be out of my place at a certain time. They were not scheduled to help us move but they did it to ensure I wouldn’t have to pay the fee for a late move out. I am so thankful for them as well. Everything that was moved was put where I wanted it as they made sure boxes and furniture were being moved into the correct room. They were also just fun. They made me laugh when I was stressing out due to the elevator situation. Alex suggested different options for us if we were not able to completely move out today because of our schedule. Marshall went out of his way to make sure the carpet in our new apartment was protected as that was one thing I told him was really important to me. This was the best move I have had. Thank you Alex and Marshall and You Move Me!

We have also requested an early start and they have accommodated that. The only reason they get 4stars is because both times we were not quoted correctly & needed to get another truck.

Overall the experience was great! The team of Benji, Jack and Randy did a great job. They were friendly and really hustled the whole time. They called out risks as they were loading and unloading the truck, but the move went smoothly. If I could I’d do a 4.5 because of some of their office policies: 1) we were hr 1st move of the day so I thought it was annoying that they couldn’t commit to a specific start time and 2) they mentioned a straight $30 consumable fee on the phone but now it’s 3% of the job. Regardless, because Jack, Randy and Benji did such a great job and the timing was what I expected they deserved the 5 stars.

After scheduling I called the company to ask about the packing process and they rep told me all the info I needed to know and said "packing is going to be more stressful than the move itself"- and he was right! Nick, Josh, and James came right at the designated time and powered through packing up all my stuff with ease. I just recently moved to the Minneapolis area and requested the service of this company. I could not be anymore impressed with the quality of service they provided in moving my items. Blake and Aiden were the two gentlemen that moved my items and they were efficient, kind, and beyond helpful. I was shocked by how quickly they moved everything AND they repeatedly asked me if I need any extra assistance arranging my items in the apartment. If you're looking for a movie company, truthfully look no further! I plan to move to a bigger apartment later in the year and will reaching back out to them for assistance! I also had them move a very expensive piano that was $4,000 -- while they did have me sign a waiver, both gentlemen handled moving this very precious instrument with care and concern. At the very least, they're the only people I will trust to move it!

This was my first time using a moving company, and what I needed was help moving furniture and heavy boxes. I prepared the space for them, and they were fast, efficient, friendly movers. The move cost less than what i was quoted, and they were impressive and awesome. No damages, no problems. They showed up a little early and got the job done right. I would definitely use their service again the next time I need to move (hopefully into my own house). If you do a little work yourself to pack and clean and make things clear and easy for movers to get to and move your things, the whole process is very fast and very efficient. It was wild to watch them work.

They sent me confirmation and called me a few days before to confirm. The movers were so fast they even were running at some points in our move. We were very impressed with the services we received through You Move Me. Jack and his team were very professional, friendly, and went straight to work. They moved fast throughout the process of packing up our stuff and delivering it to our new home while also seeming very intentional with making sure everything was protected. Despite the hot weather and the struggles of carrying in some of our heavier furniture (such as a big upright piano), they maintained a positive attitude and assured us it was no problem. Jack, Benji, Devonte and Wes were an amazing crew to work with for our move. They called 30 minutes before arriving and arrived on time. After walking through the house and listening to my requests for the move, they quickly setup the protective blankets and mats in the house and then got to work! The team worked fast and efficiently. They asked questions when necessary and were very polite and professional. The move finished up right around the estimated time and the estimate was very accurate. The aspect that I appreciated the most was the in person estimate before we booked the crew. They sent an estimator to our home and walked the property to see exactly what we needed. We didn’t have to fill out an inventory sheet like other moving companies use for building quotes. An in person walk through estimate is much more accurate and efficient. The Customer Service representative was great to work with. I was so pleased at how quickly they fit me into the schedule (it was actually for my parents, moving a big piece of furniture from their old house, taking it to a storage facility, picking up another piece of furniture from the storage facility and bringing it to their new home). Hi Paul, Just wanted to reach out and express how wonderful my moving team was yesterday. Derrick, Truman and Alex worked tirelessly all day. They made sure everything was placed just right and went the extra mile in many small ways. The Corgis and I really appreciate it. We had a good first night in our home. The puppies are already enjoying their favorite chair in the new home. Anthony and 1 More(? name) were awesome as well when they visited. Junk Guys did wonderful on the front end. I had originally booked with You Move Me but, canceled due to the hefty pricing. After the replacement moving company failed to show up for over 2hrs due to snow. I rebooked with You Move Me. They were able to schedule my move in the same weekend and sent a 3-man crew. They estimated a 5 1/2 hr move but Nick, Marshall, and Ben got it done in 3 1/2 hrs. They even move somethings in my garage I was going to try and move on myself. You Move Me did my move 5yrs ago as well and I was very happy with them. Prices have increased quite a bit but, I’m glad I made the decision to move with them again😁!

Don’t be fooled by their website. They are smart and send a very personable rep to do an assessment and make the sale, and he made it seem like I found the best of the best. It was a bait and switch. They claim to help make it fun. Not true. They claim they bring a housewarming gift. Not true. They claim they do a final tally to make sure everything is where it’s supposed to be. Not true. I was told wardrobe boxes would be provided to move hanging clothes to. Not true. One of the three movers I paid for missed most of the loading trip as he was late (I know things happen) but I was still charged the quoted price with three movers. I have discovered my favorite white & black ninja foodi that is not produced anymore was broken during the move and nobody told me. I contacted customer service about everything except the broken oven since I know certain risks are taken, but they blew me off. Ultimately, the movers were efficient and fast so I gave three stars for that.

They helped my friends move and my friends were struggling and they helped them getting everything moved and gave amazing customer service helping them. And asking them to rearrange everything and it made everything smoother. They would’ve pulled an all nighter trying to move all the same stuff. Just incredible

We wanted to change our move date and they were extremely accommodating. On the day of the move, Jerome, Nolan and Angel, arrived right at the beginning of the estimated window of time. I didn’t have much stuff to move but it was enough where I wasn’t able to move it on my own. I called them and initially had to reschedule, they were very accommodating. The two guys who showed up to move were excellent, very nice young men. They didn’t start the billing period until they started loading the truck. They offered to take stuff that wasn’t properly boxed up yet. They beat me over to my new place and were waiting there when I arrived. Made moving, which is typically a miserable experience, much more tolerable. I would recommend this company to anyone!

These guys were AWESOME!! They were available right away and on a Sunday, too! The estimate that was provided was easy to understand and very reasonable. They were able to remove some large furniture pieces that I didn't need anymore. I made a mistake in my estimate of things and they were able to accommodate me day-of, and even with that mistake, extremely narrow hallways+stairs at the new place, and my lack of water, they STILL got done before estimated and the cost was less than expected!! The two movers obviously worked well together and trusted each other. They moved extremely heavy and awkward objects up 2+ flights of stairs to a new apartment. It was AMAZING. We used a 3 man crew to move us from our 2 story townhome to our new 3 story townhome across the cities (lots of stairs). The 3 gentlemen that came to help us move were extremely courteous, ready and eager to move and help with any request I asked of them. The gentlemen that moved us did not once complain or have anything negative to say about all of the very heavy items we needed carried to the 3rd floor or any of the many boxes we had them lift and run the stairs for us, they kept asking if I would like them to do anything more and arrange my furniture or reassemble it. I can not say enough wonderful things about this great crew! The original quote was almost spot on (we finished earlier than anticipated due to their diligent work) no hidden or additional fees added at the end of our service. I loved how upfront all of the pricing was and the incredible attitudes of our crew. 100% would recommend to anyone! Great Job!

Was grateful for the help of Nolan and others in the moving process. They stayed when a 4 hour move turned nearly 7 hours due in part to a heavy rain downpour midway through. Unfortunately though the estimate/work order was under quoted and didn’t include our beds and some of the materials provided for moving were worn beyond helpful. A garment box was falling apart/broken and there was a leak in the top of the truck so rain seeped in and made about a dozen of our boxes wet and hard to work with or impossible to stack (luckily they weren’t book boxes). That said, I think the price was fair for services delivered and scheduling the move was easy to do in a busy season. To folks considering using a moving service: make sure you have a detailed and inclusive estimate and always tip your movers! This is incredibly hard work.

I decided after the last time we moved that we would never - ever - again move without professional movers. Smartest decision ever!! Unfortunately, I don't remember their names to give them a shout-out but the You Move Me crew we had on the morning of June 29th was fantastic! They were right on time, friendly, efficient, responsive, safe, and oh so strong! We had some rather large and awkward items (including a piano) being moved off of a 24th floor condo into a house with many tight corners and narrow stairs—and they were awesome through it all! Clear communication before and during the move, and the estimate was pretty spot on—and a great value. I definitely recommend You Move Me and am so happy with how everything worked out. Moving is hard enough as it is, I was happy we could focus on the packing and unpacking/organizing more than getting the stuff there. Good communication throughout experience. I received several text messages verifying that my move was scheduled and to notify the company if any changes were needed. Fast and polite movers. On time for moving day and was called by mover on moving day to verify that they were on schedule and arriving. I like that that triple checked with me that were planning my move and everything was on scheduled. I received 2 text messages prior to the move day that was helpful. Overall positive experience. Movers were younger and very capable. Younger but they were polite and respectful. Antonio was polite and was the newer mover he was training in. Antonio had a lot of experience moving homes and so it was good to have someone moving my home with experience. In the end they were timely, so I saved money. Nothing broken and they took time to wrap my furniture. Moving truck was more than enough for all my items, so nothing was crammed or focused into the truck. Plenty of room for all my items. James was so professional and communicated with me to confirm my move day and other arrangements. There was a bit of a delay with their arrival, but they called me way ahead of the scheduled time to inform me of the foreseeable lateness. They asked me if I wanted to reschedule for a different day and when I said no, they politely gave me the new time frame for that day (only an hour difference) and showed up on time! Everything was delicately wrapped and treated with care. Not a single item broke! Gavin and Jack were so professional (you guys rock!) They asked questions only when necessary, unwrapped everything, and put them in the designated rooms at the final location. The entire move was completed so quickly I was shocked! I've used You Move Me twice in the last 60 days - first to move out of my old house into a friend's temporarily, and second to move my furniture from my friend's into my new house. Both times I received excellent customer service from Jacob when I called for an estimate. The movers worked quickly and efficiently. The first set of movers did cause some damage to each of the wooden panels of my brand-new Floyd platform bed, so I was bummed to discover that as this was the first really nice piece of furniture I'd ever invested in. They did not box up the panels like I'd specifically asked them to, therefore the panels have dents and paint scrapes on the edges. However, I understand that the angles of my 110-year old home & its staircase to be problematic. They arrived 40 minutes earlier than our scheduled start time (8am) which I was not prepared for. No issues with the second team of movers. Overall I'd recommend.

The "You Move Me Team" was absolutely amazing. The move was for an elderly neighbor who had a very difficult time "downsizing" so when they showed up - there was a lot more stuff to be moved than planned. I don't know how they did it - fitting everything into that truck like a massive jigsaw puzzle - but Jerome and Joe - later joined by Gary & Nick (I think it was Nick - he could only be there a short while) reworked their plan so patiently. And wow, did they work hard. They handled all my neighbors things with great care and were so sweet. Packing and the thought of moving has been really stressful for my neighbor but Jerome and his team made 'moving day' as stress-free as possible for her. I only have great things to say about this company..at least the one that I used as I believe they are a franchise. I was moving out of one 5 bedroom home into another the day after. They came out and gave me an estimate right on the spot (within a day of calling them). They followed up with me to confirm the date of move out and move in. They texted and called me the morning of the move out to let me know 30 minutes before they were going to be there (and towards the earlier part of the time frame they gave me). When they got to my house, they were super fast paced while taking in to regard my items security and HUSTLED even though they were paid on the hourly rate. they held my material overnight, delivered it the next day and same thing. The house that I was moving into, after closing, I went over to check it out and I saw the person that I bought the house from and his crew. The crew he hired were all sitting down (apparently on their 2nd break) and took the 3X longer to move the same amount of stuff than my crew did. Not only would I hire the company again but I would work with or for any of the team members that moved my stuff. I guarantee that they will be successful in what ever they do the rest of their lives. HIRE THEM!

Update 11/30/21: I was impressed again by You Move Me. This is the 3rd house/4th time that we've moved into using You Move Me. The movers I would like to secifically recognize are Blake, Alex, Jerome, Nolan, Josh, and Brandon. These 6 guys worked quickly to load and unload our stuff without complaining. They also wrapped up our furniture to prevent damage. Nolan also recalled last year when he was one of the movers on my previous job, talk about remembering the customer! These guys are the real deal when it comes to movers! Original review 06/18/20: Nolan, Nico, Benji, and Dima were fantastic! They just loaded up the moving truck in 2.5 hours when the estimate was 4 hours! They called me when they were leaving their shop to let me know they were on the way, and also wanted to clarify if they needed any tools to disassemble furniture. When they arrived, they carefully wrapped up all our furniture, and even moved heavy mattresses down the flight of stairs without complaining! This is my 3rd experience with You Move Me and I will definitely use them again. They showed up on time, worked hard the entire time, were careful, and they are storing my stuff until I'm ready to unload. I will certainly recommend You Move Me to anyone looking for movers.

Overall, my move went really well. Devan, the crew leader, walked me through what to expect and the contract for the move. He provided options for wrapping furniture and other details to make sure everything went efficiently. Jerome started right away and moved quickly. I wish I had known ahead of time that they couldn’t park in the alley of my new place. The move in went much slower and required them to go up an extra set of stairs. I also wish I was provided with an itemized receipt. My move was actually 15 minutes shorter than he charged me for and I thought they billed in 15 minute increments. But they worked really hard and even set everything up as requested. Other than a small knick on the door, there was no noticeable damage. They were careful with my belongings and worked hard to not bump walls or door frames. I would likely use this company again. Customer service and set up of my move was super easy and no contract or payment was required until the day of my move. Pricing is really straightforward minus the itemized receipt (it was on Square).

Extraordinary is the first word that comes to mind when I think of the moving service that Jack, Devan, Benjy, George, and JJ provided. You Move Me was kind, courteous, and FAST! They completed the job much quicker than anticipated. I explained that I was paying the freight company based on the number of linear feet that I used in the trailer. They were quick - moved 2 bedroom apt. to single family home in 3 hours including two beds, dressers, chairs, bookcases and a lot of boxes. overall the team was fine. They need to figure out the issues around masks. My moved meant moving someone out of an assisted living facility and into a memory care facility. The movers were awesome! They worked hard in hot conditions. However, when I booked the appointment I walked through all the details with the agent. I told them.it was a 5th floor apartment, studio size, with two elevators. The new apartment was half a level up and close to the first apartment. Only a couple pieces of furniture (studio size means only a bed and tables) and many boxes. I was quoted $194 an hour for a total of $360.00...give or take. When the movers arrived they had trouble finding a spot to park and said they may cancel. I showed them the open areas in the alley. Then they told me the quote was wrong and if I wanted to keep the appointment it would double the price quoted. They said they didn't know it was on 5th floor. Even though that was the agents mistake, I was charged double! The charge was over $700.00 plus tips. For an efficiency apartment move that was 5 miles driving or less! Mostly boxes to move and available elevators. Again, the movers were good guys and worked hard. But we got duped! Other agencies are much cheaper.

Pros: I appreciated the upfront pricing. Movers arrived on time, did not reek of smoke, worked quickly up until maybe the end (more on that later), and for the most part put boxes where they were labeled to go. Communication was constant, and it was very clear when the move would start. Movers were clean and did not track any dirt in the floor at either location. Cons: They failed to mention what would not be covered if damaged (for instance - particle board - the microwave door of my daughter’s play kitchen was dangling off. They didn’t acknowledge it or seem to really care until I pointed it out. The lead guy just said they didn’t cover it. At the very least I would have felt better if he had apologized? All you had to do was wrap or tape it shut. I ended up repairing it myself, but I was upset. After we had moved in, I found several rings in walls, dents in wood furniture (small enough to not see right away but noticeable once you’re settled in), dirt on an upholstered chair they had moved, several boxes marked as master bedroom all the way across the house in another room that was clearly not the master. Note: I had every room with a sign labeled and color coded. The boxes that had these labels on them, I did have the expectation that they’d be in the correct location; if the box did not have the label and wasn’t in the correct location, I let it go. Back at our condo where we had moved out, I had to spend about a half hour cleaning up empty Gatorade and water bottles from the crew who couldn’t be bothered to throw them away in one of the several trash bags we had readily available - this didn’t surprise me but was disappointing. When we moved, I was in my third trimester and exhausted from being pregnant, chasing my other child around, and packing on my own. We had about 80 percent of our things packed and did pack things while the movers were working. When we moved in, it took us a while to settle in, and given how tired I was, I didn’t quite notice right away all of the things mentioned above. Maybe my expectations were too high. My husband thought they did a great job and even upped their tip. I thought they did a decent job but not fantastic. More like overpromised and under delivered. Based on several reviews here, maybe it was a good thing I was too tired to call in about the damages, as it looks like a tedious process that doesn’t result in a satisfied customer. I admit I did not call them about these things because I was too tired, and then I had a baby and was definitely not going to be doing much of that with a newborn. Would I use them again? Probably not. I’m writing this review just to make others aware - I see lots of people had fantastic experiences. Maybe it depends on the team you get? The lead person seemed very motivated to do the job correctly. Towards the end of the move, he wanted some guys to rearrange some furniture that should have been in a different room. The guys looked unmotivated at that point, and he had to ask several times to get them to help. Not a good look when we are paying by the hour. They weren’t the worst movers we’ve ever used, but I wouldn’t rate them five stars. If you’re looking for movers, I’d consider several other companies as well and to pay attention to low starred reviews.

I moved with the help of You Move Me. I had items stored at two locations and their team managed to figure it all out and get me moved in by early afternoon. My apartment is on the 2nd floor and most items were bought up the steps to avoid scratching in a cramped elevator. Door jambs were protected and so were my floors. Found out later there was a 2 hour window. James also grossly over estimated the time frame. Only took 3 hours instead of the estimated 6. All in all a good experience .

Overall, good movers. They showed up on time, were friendly, moved quickly, and didn't break anything. Scheduling ahead of time was easy, too. My only issue was that I tried to contact them after the move to get their opinion on a question relating to my prior residence and never heard from them. It sort of felt like I had paid them so they didn't care anymore. Sorta weird.
