We have used the Bekins Country Picker team x3. Tina’s estimates are accurate and her presence is a delight. The packers are thorough and all arrived intact. The movers, esp Ron, Mark,Matt and others were kind, followed labels for proper placement, and put all furniture back together with ease. Their organization skills are excellent, and I truly felt so close to a few that are like family. Eileen on the phone is a superb coordinator and kept us together. Thank you all. All of our belongings were handled with care and our driver was exceptionally a pleasure to work with and took great care of making sure we had everything where we needed it to be. Our delivery was delayed but Bekins compensated us for the delay from the day our delivery was supposed to be until we actually received it. Also, one of our items, ladder, was not loaded unto the truck, so a new one was ordered and shipped to us. Amazing customer service. We would recommend Bekins to everyone.

Scheduling done ,efficiently on time arrival at pick up and drop off locations, Steven Bradshaw did an accurate estimate. Driver steve Smith and his assistant Cody were professional and courteous, everything placed where instructed and set up bed without us even being present after signing for delivery and payment, as 90 year old mother had a doctor visit that same day and we had to leave movers to finish. Excellent job by all. I was tired of reading the "horror stories" by customers of other smaller moving operations which may have been cheaper , but just awful experiences such as price switching, broken merchandise, missing items long wait for arrival of goods, movers being drunk, rude or high. What put me over the edge was contract small print of one of these "pirates" charged extra for each 75 steps needed to unload! Bekins was worth every penny, will recommend to anyone. Steve C.

For the most part, everything was very good and timely and the cost matched the quote. Our biggest problem was that some of the boxes were laid on their side in the truck and we’re not necessarily packed to be laid on their side and several pieces got broken and my beads spilled out all over a box. We didn’t notice that until now several weeks after the delivery.

I recently moved from Missouri to Minnesota with Bekins as my moving company. Andy, the St. Louis move coordinator, did an outstanding job organizing my move. Kay, the moving coordinator, called me and emailed me a couple weeks before the move to go over the details and answer any questions I had.The driver called me personally the week before the move, to tell me when he would arrive and how the move would take place. I got the best driver that Bekins has; his name is JD. He has been driving for them for over 20 years.The crew of four men got the truck loaded in five hours. JD told me when he would arrive in Minnesota, and called me the night before to verify. It took three men five hours to unload the truck. They were courteous, professional, cautious with my belongings, yet speedy and organized. The movers were careful moving things out of my home as well as careful when moving things into my new home. Everything arrived safely and just as planned. The truck was weighed on a scale and the overall contents weighed less than the original estimate, and my bill was reduced by over $1000. All of my belongings were on that truck and they handled it as if it were their own possessions. I have nothing but praise for Bekins, JD, and the young men who loaded/unloaded the truck. KEH

Bekins packing and moving teams were great getting us moved to our new address. The packing team arrived early and worked hard to get all items packed carefully and quick. The loading team also arrived on time and were very professional and careful not to damage anything. They were very helpful and led by Richard Brooks worked quickly to get things done in a timely manner. They made a possible stressful situation so much less. When our furniture was delivered at our destination the team worked hard to place furniture and boxes carefully. Our daughter who supervised the unloading was very impressed with the professionalism of the team. We would recommend Bekins to anyone who needs to move.

Bekins made an interstate move easy. Packing & unloading were choreographed moves. Both teams worked well together. All of our items were packed well. Nothing was broken. They were loaded & unloaded with care. Doorways were cushioned so nothing was scraped. Bekins was amazing. The only thing missing was a fairy godmother to help with the unpacking & putting things away. My grandkids loved the packing paper to color on. They will have enough to last a long time. We just finished moving using Bekin Van Lines. This was the best move we've made. As career military officers, we moved several times before. This move was outstanding and Bekins stands out as a leader in the moving industry. Our packing, done by local Bekins representative Flegel Moving and Storage, was professional, careful, and efficient. They stored our belongings for 6 months in their safe warehouse. When the Bekins Driver picked up our belongings, he was careful to check everything, especially looking for the critical parts box. He communicated with us regarding our delivery and met us on time with a smile and professional appearance and actions. The 4 person unloading team assigned to our driver were the best ever. So polite, so professional, so careful and so fast. We were amazed at their teamwork, cheerful attitudes, and communication skills. Our contact with the Bekins office over this time was a pleasure as well. What nice and well trained personnel. Still unpacking and still thrilled with Bekins Van Lines. Superb!

I would highly recommend this company to anyone moving - especially inter-state. The estimate was done quickly, precisely and professionally. The packers on the California end were really good, they were careful and hard working. The communications between the office and us were quite good, although the notice of precise delivery date at the Seattle end was delayed a day and was only communicated to us one day before the change of date. The truck driver was very professional and resourceful since the movers at the Seattle end should have arrived between 8-9 in the morning, but arrived almost at noon instead. The truck driver found a couple of his friends in Seattle to help with the move, otherwise, the unloading would not have been done the same day. The woman who did unpacking was not too cooperative, she refused to unpack anything if there was not a flat space to put things on. She ended up left at least 20 boxes unpacked and we had to deal with the unpacking and getting rid of boxes and packing material on our own.

Loading and unloading crews on both ends of the move were excellent and very efficient. My local representative Lake County Movers was outstanding. Don't deal with the national company, a representative e-mailed me and said she was my move specialist, but then took 1-2 days to return phone calls and did not know what was going on. Just deal with your local broker, they are the ones that provided outstanding service. My stuff arrived within the time window they gave me and in great condition. They disassembled beds, tables etc. and reassembled at destination. Would recommend Bekins for a cross country move.

We had an excellent experience with Bekins from the estimate through the final delivery. Our rep did a careful walk through of the house to create a realistic estimate. He included crating for a valuable piece. We chose Bekins because we had confidence based on the rep and because they were less expensive than two other bids. We included packing, and the packing team did a great job. They were efficient, careful, and labeled the boxes by room and general contents. The loaders were also good. It was pretty amazing to see all our furniture wrapped in pads and covered in plastic -- but it was worth the trouble because it all arrived in perfect condition. Our driver worked with the loaders at the front end and with the unloading crew at the back end. The load arrived at the time it was expected, the crew did a super job of unloading and unwrapping. Our driver helped get everything set up for us. The whole experience was as painless as a move could possibly be. I would recommend Bekins to anyone who asked. I can't imagine what they could have done better.

Drivers on both sides were fantastic- Crews on both sides great but destination crew was literally the best I've ever seen- care for our belongings, amazing attitude, care for our home, great communication. Origin crew was great-managed well but a lot of guys and not so intuitive - Sales agent was correct on his communications up front and quote was accurate and moderate. Only issue was customer service didn't do a great job communicating with us or driver. Sales knew we would need a shuttle but no one told the driver until I talked to him on Friday before the Sunday move. We kept looking for updates prior and got... crickets. We had to chase communications last 2-3 weeks. But destination crew made up for entire process. Willy, Adrian and JJ - a small crew for our 3400 sq ft home plus garage, were so professional and calming. Our new house at 4,000' altitude with a difficult driveway- one single door for 3 stories and no garage- so our tools and garage cabinets had to go to the bottom floor- these 3 handled every step with poise like I've never seen. And they weigh probably 380lb between all 3 of them- amazing ballet of moving we witnessed, with smiles and light hearted humor- these 3 took a normally crazy stressful process and made it painless and a pleasure. My wife and I were so happy during and at the end of the move- can't 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 this team enough!

They were one of four I received quotes from for our 2,300 mile move. The sales rep was knowledgeable and honest. The packers took amazing care of our belongings. The driver helped load, knew how we wanted the new house set up. He stayed in touch with us as he neared the drop off, which he reached a day earlier then estimated. The driver was very professional and directed the drop off operation smoothly. Our items were in good condition and not a wall scrape moving in. Only surprise was empty box pick up was an additional charge but a Bekins representative arranged for a third party pick up at a cost of $150. All in all they provided solid value, and treated my family well.

I recently used Bekins Van Lines for a cross country move from Seattle WA to Orlando FL. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would recommend Bekins for your next move. The estimator from Bekins Northwest was very professional, timely and answered all our questions. He offered a comprehensive estimate including options for storage just in case our Orlando home was not ready at the time of arrival. The Bekins driver managed the loading process in Seattle and provided his contact information before leaving. He provided at least two updates while in transit and communications on the delivery was outstanding. Because he managed the loading, he was also very familiar with set-up requirements for several pieces of furniture that required assembly. Overall the packing and delivery crews were excellent. My only complaint was one of the packers did a substandard job on several boxes that caused damage. Every other aspect of Bekins service was excellent and more than outweighed this one issue. Bekins was also very supportive and timely in processing the damage claim. I would highly recommend Bekins for your next move.

Hello: The crew that picked up our furnishing in Bradenton was very friendly and professional taking care that damage did not occur. Our furnishing were brought to storage on University Parkway in Bradenton and stored for three months before being shipped to O’Fallon, Mo. The two man crew that delivered our furniture seemed to be in quite a hurry to complete the move and get back on the road. They minimized some damage suggesting that we bought cheap furniture. An entire box of valuable German beer steins was smashed along with two antique vases. A floor lamp was also destroyed along with damage to an office desk. I didn’t file a claim as I thought it would be a hassle and a waste of time and effort. I would contract with Bekins again only believing that the other carriers would provide the same level of service.........Bob Schmiehausen, Missouri

Was a little worried about having a moving company transport all of our belongings from Arizona to Oregon. Turned out to be a great experience. Every item was wrapped with heavy quilted blankets. Drivers prepared everything the day before and the loading was done quickly and professionally. They met us in Oregon and quickly unloaded everything and helped with setup. Couldn’t ask for a better crew and an easier move. A move official called us several times before, during and after to see how things were going. Move from CT to Fort Lauderdale, FL, with some of our belongings going into storage in FL. The team that picked up our furniture and boxes in CT was great, on time, friendly, professional. The local team in FL was equally great. I chose Bekins because I liked that the sales rep was honest and not hard sell. The only troubling item is that my estimate was under the actual cost of the move by 20% or $2,000, which was unexpected. We packed everything except for 2 large TV's and a few other fragile items that were anticipated.

I can't say enough nice things about our move from CA to MT in early June. From my phone calls to set up the move with the office in Seattle to the crew that came to load (out of Fresno) EVERYONE was on time, super friendly, and in spite of the heat were SO hard working we were in awe. We had done most of the packing and what they did have to pack was well done. The truck arrived in MT on time, the driver was friendly and the men he had hired to help unload the truck were just as fabulous as the loading crew. They were friendly, fast and careful. Everything arrived in perfect condition. Nothing was missing, nothing was broken. I think moving is stressful and was so pleased that this move went so smoothly. It is absolutely NOT worth doing it yourself--call Bekins!

Local Vendor was great to work with. Staff that was sent to pack up our house were pleasant, worked quickly and made the deadline for the van. The only issue we found with them once we got to our new location, was that cords were not kept with appliances, so that caused problems. Plus boxes were not marked appropriately, so, for example, what you thought were garage items, had kitchen or living room items in the box, so ultimately, you had to open every box. Driver and his staff were very good. They loaded up the van quickly and efficiently. They kept in touch with us as he was delayed a day getting here due to traffic in DC but we knew that ahead a time. Hit a snafu when they arrived to deliver as they could not fit the truck into the community through the gate. My husband met them and showed them the location of the house and he said the van would never fit through the streets. They came up with a Plan B and went to get a UHaul truck which they had to load up 3 times and drive into the complex to unload things. It went smoothly but took a little more time than any of us expected. No extra charge to us. The estimated price and the actual price for packing and the move was way less then estimated which was a nice surprise. All in all, very happy with them.

We moved cross country from WA to GA. The person who came and gave the estimate was very thorough and we had A LOT of stuff, including two 4-wheelers and a Harley. We actually ended up a bit below his estimate, which was a great surprise. The crew who loaded our stuff did a great job and on arrival the unloading crew also did an excellent job. The driver we had was very knowledgeable and managed the crew well. How he got that semi into our new neighborhood we don't know, but he did and saved us from having to do a shuttle unload! We moved from Vermont to South Carolina in January 2020 and can’t say enough good things about Bekins and their local affiliate the Country Piker and the owner Phil. We obtained estimates from four movers and spent hours on the phone describing our home since only two would come to the house. Phil came twice and was confident we had 9;000 lbs to move and would cost $9,000. The other estimates ranged from 10,000 to 14,000lbs and $12,000 - $15,000. They all wanted 50% down to get started except Phil who said we could pay upon delivery in SC. On moving day it was 17 degrees below zero with a snowy driveway and a foot of snow around the house. 5 men showed up on time and loaded the truck in 5 hrs. Very pleasant & professional men who worked without a break. Nothing was damaged and they were very respectful of our home - floors, walls, doorways etc. Phil showed up in SC as planned and supervised the unloading of the truck. Same 5 hrs and done! The biggest surprise was our bill which was only $8,300, charged to our credit card. Phil did exactly what he said he would do, when he said he would do it AND below the lowest estimate. My driver, Timothy, showed up as promised, inventory was done and my items were wrapped and loaded onto the truck with great care and were in the exact same condition on arrival as they were when loaded. Bekins was part of a competitive bid process for my cross country move and they won the job primarily due to their service and reputation - pricing was very high. The sale/bid rep was thorough and very communicative throughout the process. Also the moving crews - both packing/shipping and delivery/set up - were very professional, respectful, attentive to detail, communicative and really quite knowledgeable. I did need to follow up a bit on status of my home goods, but every call was met with a friendly voice and quick response. Also, the costs were very high. As I noted, I put this in a bid process and confirmed each quote detail, but after it was complete, turns out I was charged 2x as much. I'm not happy about that, but I loved the rest of the move experience.

My estimate was exact, Paul came in and did a room by room walk, gave us tips on how to pack and gave us a detailed estimate and answered all our questions. It was everything one would hope for an expect during a stressful and tedious interstate move. The moving consultant was precise, accurate, and responsive during the initial walk through and quote process. The packers arrived on time and were helpful and offering assistance, at no point was there a sense of someone not wanting to be there or just getting by, but legitimately wanted to make sure everything was taken care of. The movers arrived on time and were careful and professional as well. The lady at the office called to make sure things were going OK and helped with administrative questions. The driver and unloader at our new home states away was communicative and punctual, unloaded everything and re-assembled everything. I had purchased a curio cabinet from a furniture store in Denver as a Christmas gift for my wife. The store did not offer shipping to Salt Lake City where I live. I called several moving companies in the Denver area, none of whom were willing or able to help me. I was frustrated and baffled why this would be a problem. The movers and coordinating office staff of Mover Dudes out of Winchester, Virginia were supportive in planning my move and commiserated with me in the difficulties of moving an entire household that had existed for close to sixty years, which means a lot of stuff to move. They worked with me giving me a little extra time until things were set to go. The movers themselves showed up in a timely fashion and overcame obstacles of working on a busy road that saved me both time and money. They were friendly and worked efficiently and completed the loading in quick fashion. Then when I explained to them that their delivery time the next day would mean traveling in darkness on unfamiliar roads, they kindly moved back that time by four hours which made for safer travel. All in all, moving was a difficult experience that was made easier by these people at Mover Dudes, who were just really decent human beings. I would certainly recommend them from my experience.

Our driver was awesome. He had extensive knowledge regarding packing and loading. He was personable and communicative. The helpers at our origin were very nice and some of them were trained. Some were not however and the loading was a little slow due to this. The one helper at our destination started out ok but after just a half an hour he was complaining about how tired he was. He wasn’t careful with our things and scratched some of them on the rough asphalt and concrete. He didn’t call out box numbers for us check them off. Our driver kept reminding him but he was apathetic at best. However, we would use Bekins again as our furniture, during the time it traveled in the truck, was safe and sound.

We hired Bekins Van Lines to move us 1,100 miles, from Chicago to Austin, TX. From the moment we met with their representative, we knew it was a professional operation. I required an onsite estimate to ensure our move expenses were accurate up front. Cost and insurance was communicated clearly, the local Chicago team who packed up our home was professional, and the driver kept us informed on progress and delivery time. When our belongings showed up in TX (on time), our driver provided an inventory sheet which provided descriptions of items along with the corresponding inventory sticker numbers. We have moved a few times in our career and In think Bekins was our mover everytime. We moved with a major retailer 3 times, and had good results on each move. This last move was on our dime and was to me a bit complex. but I must say that our carrier worked with us to get our move done on a planned schedule that met our needs and hit each deadline perfectly. As we have been unpacking for a month now, we have come across a minimal amount of damage, and I like the fact that they allow adequate time to file any claim for loss. Robert came to have a look and got a crew of three to repack and move our furniture for us. Stefan, Candy and Adolf were the best people, they worked so hard until 7 pm and it was the best experience after the terrible morning we had with Cissell.. these people are taught everything from their behavior, attitude to customers, respect for your property. I actually got money back since the scale weight was just under the estimate. Go with a company that will send a salesperson to your home to give you an estimate. Don't try to book over the phone. I didn't pay a dime until my belongings arrived. I would definitely recommend Bekins and will use them again should I need movers.

The crew took very good care of all my property during my move from NJ to Florida. They were all very respectful, professional and pleasant to deal with. They provided loading, storage and transportation to Idaho. Everything moved according to plan and completely met our needs. The unloading crew was right on time in Meridian. (Cross Town went above and beyond to confirm delivery times a week before.) We were pleased with their service: Josiah provided the very accurate estimate, the thorough packing and storage by the staff at Cross Town, and delivery in Meridian. I recommend reading "The Long Haul" by Finn Murphy so that you have an idea what to expect and what the movers are thinking as they handle your 'stuff'. The local Bekins agent, Liberty Movers in MA began our experience - they were prompt and professional with the estimate and packing of fragile items on the MA end, and monitored our move from start to finish on top of that done by the Bekins X-C team. They also facilitated the connection to a company to transport our 2 cars on a carrier, and followed up on that process as well. The Bekins team that loaded us was also confidence-inspiring. They were very careful to not damage anything, including our home - they used pads everywhere and covered our floors and carpets. The driver and his XC companion oversaw the move on both ends and were efficient and courteous. The unload team in Oakland were, as was the loading team in MA, friendly, helpful and efficient. Moved from CA to GA. Best move ever! Cost Estimate was middle of the companies we received quotes from but we developed a trust with the Bekins agent. Packers arrived on time, driver and loaders arrived on time and all household goods were loaded within 6 hours. The Bekins customer service rep checked in with us several times while the truck was intransit. The truck arrived on time, the unloaders arrived on time. Because of a long and winding driveway the unloading process required a smaller truck to move the household goods to the house, basically double handling. The Bekins driver was aware of the long drive and drove his tractor by the street and driveway to scope out the requirement the day before the unloading. The unpacking of the high dollar and fragile items were quickly completed, nothing was damages. The process was easy from start to finish. Expertly handled! The driver was an excellent manager, controlling the entire operation. We are truly impressed.

I was contracted to pack and move with another company. North American Van Lines...with less than 24 hours to go North American had no driver for a direct move and now wanted to move my things twice even though they had not packed for that. They thought they had me over a barrel with no other choice. I called Bekins and they arranged this as a direct move with less than 24 hours to pick up the mess left behind by the other company. They did it and did a great job! Only one issue bed was not put together right and bed is now broken it cost me $275 to repair and it's still not right. I would recommend them though because I think if I had gone with them first I wouldn't have been put in this position by North American. I would not recommend this type of last minute change to anyone. Be careful who you choose. I wish I had just gone with Bekins from the start.

The representative from our local Bekins office was very thorough when he estimated our move. His estimate was a little higher than others that we talked with but he was very detailed with his estimate as the others just hit the highlights and therefore had a lower estimate. You have to remember that when moving the final bill is what is important and if a mover lowballs the estimate you will still have to pay whatever the charges are, not the original estimate. We believed the Bekins estimate due to the detail data which went into it. Bekins was very timely and loaded and unloaded us when they said they would. The driver and packers handled all our belongings very carefully. We would certainly recommend them for anyone's move.

My fiancé and I moved from the Sacramento area of California to Tallahassee, Florida the end of 2018 / beginning of 2019. Taggert Glithero, with Bekins, came to give the estimate. He was thorough and detailed, asking if we had a box for the TV, and if we wanted it packedby them or by The Geek Squad at Best Buy, where we had recently purchased the TV. We decided to have Bekins pack it. Taggert gave us a not-to-exceed binding estimate, and the actual charges came in lower than he had anticipated. The movers arrived on the appointed date and packed everything for us, as we had already left the area. My fiance’s daughter oversaw the packing. Since we only had a partial load, BekIns stored everything until a truck was available. The driver kept us appraised of his progress, arrived when he said he would, and unloaded and assembled everything they had taken apart. They protected the walls and doorways during this entire process. Everyone we interacted with at Bekins was knowledgeable, friendly and competent. Everything arrived safely. In addition, I would like to add that my fiance’s daughter is a real estate agent in the Sacramento area, and her office recommends Bekins. Thank you all for a job well done.

In fact, FL delivery arrived 1 day early since additional load on truck could not be received by recipient delayed by storm. Driver and assistants were professional, competent, and friendly. Once I had Contact Information for Driver, communication was a breeze with updates, etc. No problem with move-in. Minor damage to metal file cabinet. Otherwise excellent, including piano and 7 ft. tall armoires. Only suggestion, local agent should should provide "after-hours" contact information to customer. It was challenging to get in contact with Driver on 1st leg and necessary to get to Wheaton Traffic Department After Hours .Would recommend highly to others.

Bekins estimated my weight very closely, so the quoted move price was accurate . Only a few items were damaged but Interstate move move doesn't have some? All damages were minor except for drawer support bar for my 5-drawer chest was broken. The packers were generally very good except for packing my lampshades in a box with other items, some of which were heavy. When the load shifted, my lampshades were damaged. The pick up and delivery people were excellent. I was promised delivery by 8/12/16, but I had to call them (local Bekins agent, Bekins Moving Solutions in Phoenix, AZ) on the 11th to find out the delivery was delayed a day to the 13th. I felt Bekins should have been more proactive in informing me of the late delivery, as this would be good customer service. Overall I was satisfied and would consider using them again.

Bekins was on time for packing up our entire house, and they were really quick about it the only complaints I have are they missed several things if I didn't do a walk through. The other complaint I have is the marking of the boxes for example I was looking for the wires to setup my office and livingroom entertainment center I found the wires for my office was in a box marked garage and I did open a box that said wires/office when i opened the box it had bathroom towels and I still haven't found the wires for our entertainment Center. Overall I would use Bekins again.

First time move so we were extremely worried which turned out to be for nothing. Bekins moved my entire house from IL to TN with only a small plastic tub broken, basically, no big deal. Driver and his help on both ends did a fantastic job. I have used Bekins/Boerman's (Woodridge Illinois) van lines twice, and I can highly recommend same. Flexible scheduling, and fast, professional service. I DID see a lot of negative reviews about pricing changes on other websites, but that's because people chose to use the online estimating tool, which is not very precise, rather than the free in home estimator. My estimator, Mr. Joe Hagemaster, was kind, courteous, and professional when he visited my home, and his estimate was dead on, so I knew EXACTLY how much I was paying, and not a penny more. Mr. Hagemaster even suggested ways in which I could save money on my move. My second move was from Illinois to Arkansas, and I chose to have Bekins carry not only my household goods, but my brand new pristine Jeep Renegade, and they delivered everything in a timely fashion, and without a mark on my Jeep!! Hello to the Internet world! My Bekin's experience of my cross country move was excellent. Towfiq, the driver, had excellent crews both packing and moving. One tiny teeny quibble: In the interests of efficiency, the packers combined some smaller boxes. Now I cannot find the box labeled "wedding skirt" which had the outfit I planned to wear to my son's wedding! 9,000 pounds, 365 labeled boxes, pages and pages of single-spaced inventory to search..... Wedding is September, guess this is incentive to truly unpack.

Loading all of our possession's seemed to go pretty well although I did not watch how the guys were piling up the boxes and other items. We were too busy getting things together for the guys. We had some glass breakage, totes broken, one box missing, some plastic items broken. I think if our possession's were stacked firmly and appropriately by weight, i.e., heavy boxes below lighter boxes, there may have been no breakage or less breakage. We packed the pictures and mirrors with appropriate packing materials in appropriate boxes: Pictures in picture boxes, T.V.'s in appropriate boxes. We had good relations with Darrell and his foreman Edgar and the other two fellows. The drive to AZ was on schedule and we were at the new residence to greet the guys once again. Communication was good and polite with sales, follow-up and actual delivery guys were quite good. Some things were damaged when delivered, but nothing of great expense. THE worst thing was that our wood floor was gouged by screw that came loose on bottom of oversized chair and then slid into place. We cannot repair that so devalues our condo value somewhat or gives potential buyer something to dislike. But overall experience was fine. I give 4 Stars because there was no lazy or intentional disregard for our property; just some consequential damage.
