I used Artisan movers last week to move me from a home to an apartment. These folks are fantastic. They first walked the house with me to see everything, then prepped the house, then methodically took everything out. No issues, no scratches, no hassle. In fact, all 3 men (Victor, Darwin, and Walter) were very courteous and friendly. Lastly, their technology to keep me posted every step of the way was more then I expected from a moving company. First class! I would highly recommend these folks for any move.

Bryon and his crew were fantastic! We gave them quite a challenge (tons of furniture to keep track of on a 4-stop route), but they were very capable, careful, and professional. Bryon even used his own tools to help me set up some furniture that was delivered with missing parts, which went beyond his job description. We had to store our household items quickly in order to do remediation for water damage due to burst common area pipe. The remediation team recommended Artisan Movers and their team responded and quickly, professionally packed us up and placed items in crate storage. Since this happened so quickly we needed to go back and inventory the items to decide what to keep or use or continue to store. The Artisan Movers team, led by Brian, did an excellent job, pulling out the boxes and assisting with the sorting of items. They were diligent, attentive and highly professional. Would recommend.

They were careful & respectful. And on time. They brought all the necessary equipment/ supplies and were able to take apart some pieces of furniture and reassemble them on the other end. Nothing got damaged or broken. All around, I was really impressed and had a great experience with them.

Artisan helped us move this past October. They also helped us back in 2019. Both experiences were great. For the most recent move, the movers Brian, Santos, and Berlin were professional and efficient. Caroline, who was our main point of contact, was also super helpful. For both moves, we evaluated Artisan alongside 3-4 other companies. Artisan is not the least expensive but, more importantly, we believe we got good value for a really important service.

This was my third move with Artisan and I wouldn’t use anyone else. They packed my apartment and loaded my storage unit and then did a great job unloading and getting everything into my town house. I had some really heavy pieces and they moved it all up the stairs while protecting all the floors. Great company!

I hired Artisan Movers to move my grandmom's belongings from a rancher to a senior living facility. From the time that they arrived, I felt so much taken off of my plate. There are so many "to-do" things on a moving list but Artisan and the crew that they sent allowed me to take a breath. They were on time, very nice, and packed & moved items with care. Special things to note are that they were not only *not judgmental* but exhibited caring demeanor to my grandmom during one of the most stressful times in her life. They had the lowest estimate for our move by about 50%, and the final price after we had more to move than estimated was still about 30% lower than all the others we got estimates from. It's nice that they charge based on crew, hours, trucks and distance vs. weight, so anything you do on your own to prepare and save them time saves you money since they can get through it all faster. Their communication was excellent, especially in the days leading up to the move, and the crew on-site was professional, helpful and very friendly. And all of our items arrived safe and sound. They even gave us some furniture layout advice as they set everything up in the new place! Highly recommend. Never want to move again, but if I did, I'd use Artisan.

From the beginning, Artisan was responsive and helpful. The price was the best of 3 estimates. They kept in communication with us between the estimate and the day if the move. Bryan and his crew were outstanding during the move. The day of the move, we had an unexpectedly heavy snow. The crew moved our belongings into the truck during the snow (all extremely carefully wrapped and packed). We decided to delay moving in to our new house until the next day as the roads had not been cleared and there was a lot of ice on the roads and our new driveway. Bryan and team showed up promptly the next day (they were extremely prompt each day) and moved our belongings in the new house carefully and efficiently. All the crew were very friendly and responsive. I would hire Artisan again in a heartbeat.

Julio and Perdomo moved our furniture from Maryland to Vermont today. They showed up on-time. They numbered, wrapped and packed the items carefully. They kept a good record of all items. They were very careful getting the furniture out of the house at origination departure; and into the house at destination arrival. Extremely well done! Julio was also able to skillfully move a refrigerator through a tight passage by removing its doors. The packing of the truck was also done quite skillfully to secure items from moving around during passage and getting damaged. They were very courteous, prompt, not wasteful of time, and quickly responsive to last minute issues and requests. This was the best experience with movers we have had. Congratulations! Well done!

Wow! First time using professional movers and it was amazing! Of course they are professional and well trained but also the movers I was assigned, were very compassionate, considerate, patient, very very helpful, competent to a very high degree and just overall very easy to trust with my belongings from beginning to end and almost a month from my move, all of my items are unpacked as they were packed by me or the movers, with no issues. I had a good experience with Artisan Movers. We booked 2 movers to move us from Rockville to Frederick within a week of our move. They were fast and super friendly during the move. They took care to wrap our furniture to protect it during the move. I moved from CA to MD just one year ago and was super gun-shy about using professional movers because the previous ones destroyed literally everything we owned. Artisan movers put me at ease. They did a great job and they worked hard. It ended up being a little more expensive than we anticipated, but it was worth it to have our furniture arrive without a bunch of dents and scrapes. And nothing got lost! That in itself is a feat based on how many items did not arrive from our previous move. We are very satisfied with our experience with Artisan Movers and would use them again.

Artisan movers was amazing! They showed up when they said they would and loaded everything on the truck quicker than expected. Met us at our storage unit the next day 400 miles away and unloaded and move in the storage unit in under 2 hours! They secured and packed stuff very efficiently and made sure to tape things that were loose! At the storage unit we were concerned it may be too small but the movers played jenga and packed things in very safely and fit everything in. Highly recommend them for your relocation/ moving needs!

Berlin, Victor, and Steban made our move from the East to Midwest very easy. We had several fragile items including one that weighed over 200 pounds. They moved everything carefully to two locations without a problem. It was nice to see such a strong work ethic and along with taking such care to keep everything safe. Our family used Artisan for a major move from Bethesda to Knoxville,TN. In prior moves we had used large moving companies like United and North American with less than satisfactory experiences. After receiving a quote from United which involved using smaller trucks to mover our belongings to a central terminus where a large moving van would be loaded for the trip to TN we called Artisan Movers. Not only was their quote 40% less than United, they offered door-to-door service with the same crew packing, loading and unpacking us! Just as has been noted in multiple reviews our experience with Artisan was outstanding! They packed, loaded, drove the distance, unloaded, and unpacked four trucks and were the height of professionalism and courtesy. The same crew was able to handle our entire move, from the first moment they walked into our home in Bethesda until their last trip out of our home in Knoxville — five long days of hard work. The crew (Berlin, Cristobal, Alex, Dennis, Daniel, Jose, and Bryan) were experienced and efficient movers and took great care of everything, including a number of valuable antiques, a Steinway grand piano, a pool table, three crystal chandeliers, and multiple sets of fine china and crystal. They persevered in wrestling our oversized, custom credenza up a flight of stairs to place it precisely where we wanted it. Not a thing was lost and nothing was damaged. Artisan Movers is simply awesome. We were so happy and impressed that we bought them lunch and/or dinner everyday (they asked for anything but pizza!) and ultimately gave them a 20% gratuity for everything that they did for us. We recommend them wholeheartedly.

Really great team came in and took care of our stuff. They were communicative, double checked when they weren't sure of something, and helped us get the stuff into the right rooms at our new place! The actual work cost less than the quote, and they were efficient and polite. They made our move smooth and easy! We boxed our stuff in advance so they didn't have to charge us for materials. I booked Artisan Movers for a 32 mile move from MD to VA and was really pleased with the service. We were moving out of a 1b1b apartment and had 3 guys assigned to our job. They arrived on time and gracefully dealt with some freight elevator issues at our origin building. I've gotta say, I genuinely didn't know you could move stuff so quickly! Once the elevator was up and running, they packed the truck in less than an hour. Nothing was sacrificed in the process - all of our furniture was wrapped first in blankets, then in shrink wrap, and taped down for security. We had several unusual items that I was worried might be a challenge - a bumper plate tree and weight bar among them - but it turned out totally fine. All of our electronics were delivered safely and in working order too. I'm really happy I chose a professional moving company over doing it myself with a U-Haul! I look forward to working with them in the future if the need arises.

Artisan Movers moved my household 2 days ago. It was a local move, only 10 miles, but it was a large household. Cris came with 5 other movers and two trucks and arrived at 9:10 AM, and they were finished by 3:45 PM (delivered all items to our new rental house). Cris stressed that it was his goal to be as efficient as possible, and if I had any questions or concerns, that he would take care of them. I was very impressed with Cris and his entire crew. They quickly moved through the house and took all the boxes that we had packed and furniture items, and offered to take anything else we hadn't gotten to in our packing, which was a good bit. I liked the fact that Artisan Movers brought wardrobe boxes to be used in the move so I didn't have to pay for any (they take back the wardrobe boxes when the move is complete). They also took special care of my wife's upright piano. They were courteous, friendly and in good spirits the entire time. I am retired from 20 years in the Navy, and had been through 17 moves during that time. No move I have had previously compared to the ease and efficiency with which this move occurred. I am a total fan of Artisan Movers, and plan to use them again in 9 months when I move out of this rental house to a permanent house.

I moved from a single-family home in Loudoun County to Arlington and requested quotes from six highly-rated moving companies. Artisan was the only company that came to my house and looked at the items I wanted to move before giving me a quote. That impressed me. Their representative Dimitry was so professional, informative, and detail-oriented that it convinced me to choose Artisan. Seven days before the move, my circumstances changed, and I needed to move a day earlier. Two days before the move, I was falling behind in my packing, so I requested that Artisan pack the items in my kitchen. Both times, Artisan agreed without hesitation. On the day of the move, their crew arrived exactly on time. They confirmed with me what needed to be moved, then began working quickly and carefully. I moved to a four-story townhouse, so there were a *lot* of trips up and down narrow stairways with heavy furniture/boxes, but the movers didn't have a problem. All of the items arrived in excellent condition, there was no damage to walls or floors, and the movers finished on time. It was an extremely positive experience, and I'd be happy to hire them again during my next move.

The move from MD to NC could not have gone smoother. Milton & Felix showed up on time and thoroughly wrapped all the furniture and efficiently loaded everything for transit. They arrived to unload the following day on time and efficiently offloaded, stowed everything exactly as directed and removed all of the packing materials. What stood out to me is their great customer service across the board, from the individuals that answer the phone to the movers themselves, that ultimately made a stressful process surprisingly stress-free. Scheduling the move was easy and I appreciated the emails confirming date/time details. I initially scheduled my move for a Tuesday and ended up changing it to the Monday before (President's day) last minute. Despite the last minute change and it being a holiday, they were willing to accommodate. I have struggled with movers in the past due to a lack of transparency and accountability (i.e. talking to a different person every time you call and not being able to track down basic time/date and pricing info). Artisan Movers gave me the information I needed up front, they were accessible and responsive, and they were able to provide reasonable expectations for timing and pricing. Additionally, as soon as the move was over I received a follow up call from Artisan Movers to ask about the quality of the service. I plan to use this company again for any future moves, and will definitely recommend to friends and family.

The quote I received was very accurate. Nothing was broken during the move, however some walls did get marked in a tight staircase, but it was an easy fix. Artisan Movers were absolutely exceptional for our move from a 1-bedroom apartment to a single family home. First of all, when i was quote shopping and filling out online questionnaires, Dimitry was the first one to get back to me...AND he did so via phone call, which was a nice personal touch. Then, the day of the move, Santos and his mates were early, scouted out our apartment complex for the most strategic routes (the location of our apartment was a little complicated) and completed the whole move in 4.5 hours (including our packing up our storage unit AND taking a good bit of our worn out stuff to the apartment dumpster for us). Also, the day of the move was POURING RAIN and the guys kept all of our belongings protected. Final price was right in the ballpark of the original 4 hour quote...and given how professional, timely, and over and beyond the guys were, I simply can't recommend Artisan Movers and Santos' crew enough. Last month I moved locally, from a high-rise apartment building to a low-rise condo building (so a lot of elevator and hallway logistics involved). Marc was very responsive over email and phone from the time that I requested a quote. The morning of the move, the team of 3 movers were quick and careful with all of my items. I did have pretty much all of my items boxed up already, so I can't speak to that part of their service. However, they were able to take apart and put together a daybed quickly, which was the biggest item that I had to move. Also, my flat screen TV was wrapped very well and had no issues being moved over to my new place. Any boxes that seemed a little loosely packed were also taped and wrapped by the movers, which I appreciated. The movers were professional, friendly, took note of any specific requests I had during the move, and I would definitely recommend them to others looking for movers.

Artisan movers sent Leonardo to perform the estimate for the move. I had already interviewed two other movers and Leonardo was easily the best in terms of his honest appraisal, setting our minds at ease and not being terribly nitpick about each and every detail. The other two movers I interviewed each tried to up-sell me as well as specified numerous constraints and costs that left my head spinning. Artisan movers on the other hand provided a thorough estimate with no hidden charges. I was able to secure cell numbers for Marc and Leonardo in case something got delayed on the day of the move since I was on a tight schedule. This put my mind at ease regarding scheduling since that is one of the biggest gaps in any move. I was taking a whole day off to make this move go through and had lined up storage for the next day and after that was off out of town for 4 days. So this had to go as scheduled. That was the top priority. On the day of the move I got a call from Chris early saying the crew, of which Chris was the lead would be there by 8:30 am to start the move. As promised, they arrived on time. There were a couple of items that Chris pointed to and indicated that these were already damaged before the move. Nothing was broken or lost during the move. The move itself went exactly as planned. I had added an additional stop and that took us into DC and Chris had no problem with that. The crew placed all boxes exactly where I wanted it and at the end I felt like this was a well executed operation from start to finish. I would recommend Artisan Movers any day. They are thorough and professional.

After contacting over ten DC area movers – none of whom could help me or frankly even wanted to talk to me – I found Marc at Artisan. Loved Marc’s communication style (he opened up a chat window to ask me questions while I was begging another mover to give me a Saturday AM timeslot) from beginning to end. Marc was prompt, clear and responsive to last minute changes when we had a double-booking for the freight elevator on Sat AM. His crew – Reggie, Chris and Everett - were extremely professional, friendly and incredibly efficient. They navigated the complexities of moving into a DC dupont circle apartment (NOT an easy thing to do with a moving truck!) with ease and enthusiasm. Rock stars!

Artisan Movers are the best movers in the Maryland, Virginia, DC area. The price was amazing way less then their competitors. The movers were fast, friendly and had a the nesscary tools to move everything. Even and had giant box and wardrobe box to move our bags of clothes. The wardrobe box and other tool like plastic wrap and blanket covers was included in the move to help keep price down. The owner Marc I spoke on the was very professional and was upfront about everything. The movers did arrive 15 mins earlier which was great. I will be using this company in the future. Lastly there was no hidden fees at all.
