I've been taking my bikes to Walter for about 10 years and am always impressed by the service. Walter is an expert mechanic and he's reliable. I just had a ton of work done on my adventure bike and didn't even consider taking it anywhere else. Highly recommended mechanic!

One of the best motorcycle service centers in the region. However, do not call Walter asking him to tune or fix your bike over the phone. You will get the worse type of "Male-PMS", and attitude! Don't misunderstand me, most motorcycle mechanics are that way... especially around the time of Sturgis. I have used this shop, and recommended all of my friends over the past 20 years. Walter knows a lot about motorcycles. He is sharp, and detail oriented. I saw Walter's response to my comment and added additional details.
I would have given him 5 stars, but the male "PMS" cost a perfect rating. BTW people who I referred to his shop in the past are still customer's to this day. Overall as a shop his service is outstanding and they have been in business over a couple decades (Previously called: George Dean's Cycle Service). I highly recommend him. He is one of the best mechanics around!
It is very difficult to find a competent mechanic like Walter due to changes in the motorcycle industry. It is declining, and mom & pop shops like Walter's are fading as a sign of the times...

Has been a great help servicing the tires on my Kawasaki Vulcan. Generally very quick to respond to inquiries via email. Both thorough and fair in price.

The best and most thorough motorcycle mechanic I have ever dealt with! I have had him work on 4 of my bikes all needing different things from brakes to tires to oil changes. I will continue to use his services for as long as I am able to ride!

I was circling the country on KLR650s from Virginiaand also planned to fly from Seattle to Alaska for a week. I needed the bikes serviced in the meantime. After being screwed from random dealers along the way, Walter came recommended by my mechanic in VA. He not only did an awesome job but was extremely reasonable with his rates. He also allowed us to store much of our belongings in his shop. He's an all-around great and totally honest guy. I strongly recommend Seattle cycle service.

Here's my skivvy on Walter and Seattle Cycle Service - I owe him a huge debt of gratitude, plain and simple.
On a weekend ride to Seattle from my home in Vancouver, my Yamaha Seca broke down, and due to work conflicts for both my girlfriend me, we had no choice but to leave my bike at Walter's shop - even though the shop was closed.
So with some anxiety, I parked and locked the bike outside his doors, and put the keys through the mail slot.
If we haven't all been in this situation, we've all certainly had a moment or two where we dread being in this situation - leaving a prized vehicle at the mercy of an unknown mechanic, in a country that isn't home, you are pretty much entirely at the mercy of whomever you leave the vehicle with.
Well, let me tell you that Walter came through with flying colours - sorry, in deference to America, COLORS. He fixed the issue and fixed it well, and stayed within a completely reasonable budget too, and frankly very quickly from diagnosis to repair. It looks very much to me as if he's fixed what was an ongoing electrical problem with the bike.
The ride home was smooth and one of the best I've had on it, and that wasn't entirely because of how much better the bike rode - it was because Walter was fair, honest, and upfront with me, and charged me a decent and acceptable price to get my bike running again.
I would gladly take my bike to him again, and only wish it was more convenient for me to do so.

Reviews are true. Honest upfront and fair. Diagnosis on yamaha vstar was quick and thorough. Walter just knows what he's doing. Definitely found my bike shop in Seattle and would highly recommend.

It was great, Walter is the best. He noticed a split in the sidewall of my motorcycle tire that could have been catastrophic.
