John was the best! We were in need of a rear tire for our 1972 BMW r75/5 and in our hunt could only find things that would take 4+ days to get shipped to us. In a last ditch effort I searched and asked around for a vintage shop... ones I am used to working with in Minneapolis and Milwaukee... enter MotoShed. John not only answered my email on a Sunday when they are closed, but was able to get the tire and mount it within 2 days. I cannot say enough positives things about this place.

Listen - I'm not really a *review writing* person, generally. However, I just had an exceptionally positive experience that I feel like I should break my own rules. I called this morning about an issue I had with my Yamaha 250 (1980). The engine would stall when I gave it gas. Even though John and Scott are super busy, they took me in limping my poor bike off the street same day. I was out of there with a purring bike only a couple hours later. I am super grateful they were so willing to help me on such short notice and were just delightful about it. They were especially patient and kind, especially for lil ol' me who is new to this bike (and all bikes, for that matter). Would highly recommend.

Went in to replace the front shock of my r1200gs 2012. John and Richie were EXTREMELY accommodating and helpful, provided all the tools, constant advice and a help when I needed more than two hands. Had to use grease, lubricant, blowtorch, and an impact torque wrench to get out this really stuck bolt that had partially stripped!! They gave every tool to me and walked me through the process. Then, charged me LESS than the price they quoted even though I took up one of their stands for a WHOLE day. Super courteous and patient throughout. Amazing help. Highly recommend.

Great shop just to stop by if you don't need service. Had a chain that needed to be replaced on my trip to Tuk in the Yukon. They let me borrow two tools that I needed to get the new chain installed. And even offered some advice. So for any ADV riders that need same day service. I would look at coming to this shop. All the other shops I called wanted me to drop my bike off for two weeks. Around the Seattle and Vancouver BC area. I have found from riding my bike in 159 countries. Is that most cities will have one shop that will treat you right. This is that shop for Seattle. And their labor rates are not bad compared to some others that I've seen around the US. I really wish this shop the best. It's rare to find a shop that will let you use their tools in any western country. The owner said. Besides for electronics. They can do most anything on newer bikes. I really wish this shop all of the best. And will stop by the next time I go to Seattle !

I had a bunch of electrical and inspection work done here and Richie did a fantastic job ensuring my bike safe to ride.
I highly recommend going here they will educate you on what's happening and were super patient with me.

Great shop, good value, good people. I'll definitely be taking my bike back the next time it needs work that I can't handle. It took them a while to get started on my bike, which I understand as it's a small shop and they have a lot of bikes to work on, but they communicated well and once they started it was ready to go pretty quickly. Very happy with the work and the cost was reasonable. Richie was also very helpful with all my questions about the bike and how to do some things myself.

Super cool and supportive people here as expected. Just like having a buddy open their garage to help a friend.

The staff was extremely inviting despite their hesitation on advertising on google. Their aim is to maintain the neighborhood and community feel of the shop while simultaneously opening their doors to a larger market.
I paid for an hour of self-service. It was a wonderful hour. Not only were the staff nearby to help if I needed something, other customers in the shop were awesome and they loved talking about the motorcycles they were working on. If I lived in Seattle, I would definitely pay the monthly fee to have unlimited access to the shop.

I am extremely impressed with this shop and the guys that run it! Its a very cool space and the folks here will make you feel at home no matter your skill level. If you have any questions I'm sure that they will be able help or point you in the right direction. I highly recommend going here if you need motorcycle service, parts, media blasting for your old parts, or if you have some questions. Im so glad that I space like this is out there!

Needed a garage to repair a totaled bike.
This place had every tool I could possibly need, and knowledgeable employees to fill the gaps in my experience.
John and Richie are honest dudes, and seem to want to build a solid motorcyclist community around their business.
Can't recommend this place enough.

Owners John and Richie are incredible mechanics and business owners. They solved a pesky clutch problem with my 1967 Honda that bedeviled me. They also tuned the carburetors and got more performance out of the bike than I thought was possible. They completed the work on schedule and within the budget quoted. You can trust them with your vintage Japanese bike- they won't let you down.

These guys have great bikes and were very helpful. Can't wait until I can get my bike into then for new tires.

Rented their DIY space for a couple of hours this week. They have a great selection of tools, and John was very helpful when we needed it. I wish I'd known about this place before investing hundreds of dollars in my own specialized tools. I'll be doing my jobs here from now on.

I edited my post to accurately describe my experience trying to avoid personal opinion as much as possible. These guys are doing a great thing and I want to keep my review as accurate as possible.
My experience with moto shed during the month of may (prime motorcycle working season) was good and bad. Living close by I showed up on average 2/3 times a week during my month long membership. (Uaually just a drive by). And it was difficult to get a lift. Also since it's the only shop of its kind in the area it gets extremely busy before the summer, especially with a few local dealerships close by. If you wanted to do an actual week long project I think you would have to pay extra beyond your monthly fee to store your bike overnight.
Maybe create a lift just for quick maintenance?Unfortunately I won't be back due to not being able to justify the monthly fee and getting access to a free garage.
Get a manual watch some YouTube videos and take your time. The shop owners can give you advice if you are unsure, especially with important stuff like brakes, chains, tires, general maintenance. I would also recommend having them do work that is oitside of the scope of your skill level. Or finding an appropriate shop that specializes in your specific bike.
Hope everyone stays safe out there.

Great shop. Went in for DIY and had a successful and really enjoyable time. Can't recommend these guys enough. Also they wanted me to mention that they don't like Yel p. 😄 …

These guys are amazing, they bent over backwards to help me get the right tires for my bike and get them properly installed and balanced. They take old school pride in their work, and I will ALWAYS choose them over a big box store.

I had the best experience here! Friendly, knowledgeable and cool owners were willing to get me the time and space I needed in a very short amount of time. I'll be back and you should too! (Great price for shop space and other services also)

Stand up guys. Richie is an incredible resource in this city for older bikes. Generous with their time and reasonable with their shop prices. Will definitely be coming again.

I have a 1979 Honda CBX, that was having stickie up shifting. I took her to MOTOSHED and they did a road test diagnosed the problem, called me to tell me all is good. So, the bill came in at .75 of an hour, so the amount was under the hourly rate of $95. Who does that!?! Well these guys did it, great shop!
Sky Iolta
Great bunch of guys. Left my bike there for storage while I was away, and they kept it perfectly safe. Definitely going to be coming back to use the shop at some point as well!
Nick Godfrey
These guys rock. Seattle is a frustrating town to own a motorcycle in. These guys will assist you with anything as well as install almost anything on your bike. See you guys soon

Thanks for doing my valve stem short notice/same day.Took stress off me cause I still have to ride to work 2 more days this week, and won't have to think about the superglue anymore.
