Reviews of Lake City Powersports
Army Mechanic
Recently took my ninja 300 to these fine folks and they are great at there job. I understand they were super busy and couldn’t contact and update me a lot but when I did call and ask about my bike Ben never had any hint of wanting to rip me off he cut straight to being honest and telling me straight up what could be wrong which was the way cheaper version of what I thought it could be. This company is honest and great at there job. They will also take extreme great care of your bike I was accptecting my bike to be in the back in the weather when I got there but they had it inside on the floor being protected from the weather. They truely care about there customers and there bikes. I have to thank them a lot even if I wasn’t able to get my bike fixed due to personall reasons and they still wanted to look out for me and not charge storage fees understanding my situation I could make it up to there shop at anytime. Thank you Ben for all the honesty I will be referring everyone to you in Washington for services. 😎😎😎

Great place, great service, great people! I had been out of a motorcycle for about a month while I was waiting for my other bike to get repaired.
I wanted a new bike but the dealership that I had been going through was having some difficulty with that. I called Lake City Powersports on a Saturday morning a couple of weeks ago and was on my bike by 3:00 that day.
They had the exact bike that I wanted and were more than happy to sell to me. They were fast and competent, big thank you to Tim and Tom (I'm pretty sure those were their names. Super apologies, I'm terrible with names!) for the fast turn around on the purchase. I look forward to continuing to do business with you and your team!
I'll have my first service with them in a couple of weeks and I'll update this review on how that goes, if it's anything like the sale of the bike; I'm pretty sure that I'll be giving the service department a positive review as well.

“ Lake City Power sports the friendliest store in town” That is an understatement! Not only did Tom work hard to get me a good deal on my bike but I arrived late Saturday almost closing time on a holiday weekend ! But Tom and Tim stayed late handling paperwork with me and they did so kindly and with smiles on their faces spared no detail walk me through the bike, they weren’t just trying to rush me out the door. Unfortunately due to some banking issues i wasn’t able to place my deposit down after trying with my bank well after closing ! And after exhausting all our options Tom offered to come in Sunday when they’re closed so i could do so and pick up my bike above and beyond service ! Definitely recommending my family and friends and most definitely purchasing my next bike here! You guys rock

Brought my bike (Honda CBR250R) in for a substantial, scheduled maintenance. They treated me well, were very friendly, and performed more than adequate service on the bike. They even agreed to re-set the throttle free-play which I believe they might have missed (easy to do as it was a minor item on a long list of service items) or at least wasn't set to my preference. Everything was done quickly and I really appreciate the level of service provided.

What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said? Honest guys who do amazing work and are extremely welcoming. All my bike work happens here and I don't see that changing ever.
I have had crash bars from Motortek for the Africa Twin and exhaust system for the H2 done here, and will keep coming back for more.

This was my first motorcycle purchase from a dealer, I have to say that the paperwork and buying process was a lot easier than my parents made it out to be growing up. Timothy, my salesman was very nice and cracked a couple of jokes, so that was pleasant.
They did almost push an extended warranty that I did not feel I need, almost made it seem mandatory.
Only reason they didn't get 4+ star would be the fact they charged me a 390 "dealer prep fee" but when I go to start bike first time, NO GAS. This was at closing time so I understand that they maybe couldn't get me gas right that second but I turned in the finance app on Sunday, Tom called me on Tuesday around 11 to let me know I was approved, I let him know then on the phone that I would be by at 5:30 to pick up the bike. he told me he would be getting the bike into service right away to do their last inspection, giving them pretty much all business day to gas up the bike at the pump that was 1000 ft away.
When I pointed out the gas, Timothy just laughed and pointed at the station " the shell is right over there ..... "
Charge me 400 bucks cant put 20 bucks worth of gas in the bike SMH. Haven't had anyone reach out to make this right, I know that I shouldn't be that upset over 20 bucks but I just bought a 10000 dollar bike...... made me feel unimportant.

I bought my first bike just the other day here. Amazing service and very friendly people. Everyone I talked too was very happy to both help me and educate me on anything I was interested in.
Michael Saalwaechter
Called about getting a specific set of tires installed on my Kawasaki motorcycle wheels, and they were the only ones all over town who had the right tires, in the right size, and in the shop on hand. They even pulled them aside for me, and installed them right away when I brought in my wheels. I needed them urgently for a track day event, and they got me squared away on the spot, and the tires exceeded expectations on the rainy race track surface. Bought multiple parts from these guys over the years, and they usually have everything I need, and they are great to talk to! Highly recommend doing business here.

I didn't have any service done, but I took my Suzuki Burgman in to get a noise checked. I live in Port Angeles and was in Seattle for the weekend. Even though they were busy they took the time to run and listen to it, and even took it for a test ride to see if they could notice anything. Ben and Alex were great guys. I would definitely be back if I lived locally.
Eric Madis
These folks are great! From their sales to their service/repair, they are honest, friendly, helpful and as knowledgeable as can be found. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone interested in motorcycling.
Mike Doljanin
These guys are awesome! Recently purchased a 2018 Honda Africa Twin and it was hands down the best vehicle purchase experience I have ever had. I have been coming here for years for parts and accessories and have always had great experience there, but this experience took it to the next level. Every one that was helping me was very knowledgeable and friendly and was able to provide me with great advice. I spent many years in customer service and I cannot put in to words how professional and top notch the service they provided. I would hands down recommend these guys to anyone, and with my recent experience they just got another life time customer.
Thank you again Lake City Powersports for the great experience!
J Craigen
This place is definitely 5 star the sales person is 5 star the only reason I'm making it a 4 star is because the Seattle taxes make it a more expensive place to buy a motorcycle but if you live there or there or it's convenient for you they'll definitely definitely give you very good service
Professional Process Servers
Excellent service and communication. Previously I had emailed Barry about an issue I was having with my Kawasaki Vulcan & he said to bring it in and they would take a look at it. They immediately assisted with issue and I was on way within an hour. Lake City Powersports is the place to go for keeping your Kawasaki in top running condition.
Anastasiya Finogenova
6/5 stars. Great team, friendly greetings upon first walking in, sincerity was very apparent which is hard to find at dealerships. As a former service advisor, I know when I'm getting the run around but these guys were up front about everything. No surprises and I got an accurate quote over the phone. The techs are skillful and took great care of our bikes. Also did quick yet quality work!
Stan Lillquist
Nice selection of motorcycles. Sales department isn't high pressure. They are knowledgeable and professional. No side by side inventory. Taking orders. Same as most dealers.
Victoria Huson
My husband and I recently purchased a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 classic from this dealership, and I cannot express how great it was!! Tom was extremely accommodating and he helped us throughout the whole process, making it very easy. I was unfamiliar with the process of getting a loan and he helped us figure out what to do step by step. He even went out of his way to assist us during off hours due to our busy work schedule. I have never experienced a more kind, helpful, and accommodating salesperson before. When we buy our next bike, my husband and I will definitely be returning and I will be recommending this dealership to my friends!
Scott Jewsbury
Ben and the entire service department went above and beyond on a recent repair for my Kawasaki Concours. From the time I made the first call until pickup of the bike they were communicative, transparent, and made things easy. Being new to the area I had recently purchased a used bike. I was a little nervous about all the unknowns regarding the bike since it was used.. having someone ease that anxiety and helping me through the process was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Lake City for any service or repairs for your toys!
Paul Christensen
Awesome service in the shop. Got me right in for a pretty small repair when another local shop wanted to put me off for a month.
Matt Couch
My first/only motorcycle was wrecked in late June so I went into Lake City Powersports to browse and consider my options. Their staff was really great! First, they listened to where I was coming from and took the time to explain all the options out there, but they always seemed most interested in what was right for me. Then they let me sit on any model I wanted to to find what was comfortable for me. The staff was always great at answering any questions I had. Even when it came to financing they did literally everything they could to get ME the best deal possible. I ended up buying in early August and couldn't be happier with the purchase or the service/maintenance since!
I really appreciate their honesty. They will lay out the options for you and let you make your choice. It's really nice to see their passion for motorcycles and their trust that if you enjoy your bike, you'll keep coming back for more!
Darrick Kinney
The staff is friendly, and not pushy. They won't try to sell you the most expensive thing in the room either. Truly a great dealership with quality staff in all departments. As a former industry employee I find it refreshing to walk into a dealer and have my expectations exceeded every time!
Angus Kondo
My first time buying a motorcycle from Lake City Powersports was stress-free and an enjoyable experience. I worked with Cole, who is very professional, responsive, patient, amiable, and insightful. Cole bent over backwards to accommodate my schedule, and he went above and beyond when delivering my motorcycle. I've been a repeat customer at several motorcycle dealers, including the Honda dealer on Capitol Hill, and Ridewest and later Noble Rush; however, since they are no longer there, I've been searching for a dealership that is top-notch in hospitality, communication and responsiveness. Other local dealers lack in the customer service department, and should take a page out of Lake City Powersports' customer care playbook. I'll buy more motorcycles from Cole and Lake City Powersports in the future.
Ben “Bj” Jedd
I came with my '96 Suzuki, which I know they're not fully equipped to deal with extensively. I only needed an oil change and quick look over after a recent down - staff is highly knowledgeable and they were quick with what I needed. Also I bought gloves and needed to come back the next day and change up one size, which they accommodated happily. Good people, and good selection for future purchases
Ray Jeffrey
The shop guys are great. They overhauled my carbs on my 1998 V4 Honda, did an installation of a new lighting system, changed the tires, changed the oil, and a few other things. No problems at all. Great job.
NorthWestWolfPack
The guys are great. the only place for motorcycle shopping I will go in North Seattle. Stopped in today to pick up a nice pair of gloves.
Ayoub Dib
Fantastic team! Came in to buy my first motorcycle, and they took great care of me. From helping me get a good beginner's bike that won't kill me, to a discount on my first set of good gear!
Nathan Kartchner
I'm a bit late on my review nonetheless, almost 2 years ago I bought my first bike, a used 2006 triumph 1050, from a different dealership. I was happy with the bike for a few days before I dropped it a couple times. Being a first time rider, I realized I made a big mistake. I was a little disappointed in the dealerships decision to let me purchase the bike considering that I'm 5' 7", and weigh 120lbs. After about a year of the bike just sitting in my garage, I decided to trade it in. These guys sold my mom her motorcycle and she felt very taken care of so I thought I would go experience it for myself.
I walked in wanting to trade my bike for a bike that fits me. I got nothing but exemplary customer service as soon as I walked in. It didn't matter who I spoke with, anybody and everybody was more than willing to help with whatever I needed. They took all the time they had available, they stayed late just to help me, they went above and beyond any of my expectations! I couldn't be happier.
I walked out with a brand new 2016 honda CB300F with not even 1 mile on it, the remainder of my existing loan payed off, the down deposit covered by the remainder of the trade in value, and an extraordinarily happy customer. I will recommend anyone I know/can to this place and continue to give them my business.

Timothy, Tom and the rest of staff are very, very experienced motorcyclists, a much, much higher distinction than "bikers".
They are sincere and friendly; no high pressure selling at all, and patiently helped me find exactly what I wanted.
Locally owned business; great, sales, parts and service.
By the way, the workmanship of the Oxford heating grips they installed looked like factory OEM.
Nice that there are a few great, long-lived Honda/Kawasaki dealerships like them still around in our north Seattle neighborhood!
Buy local!
It is so great to be back in the saddle!
Ben M
Fantastic team here! They had the exact model ready to go and the service team ready to order the aftermarket accessories I wanted. Relaxed showroom and a top notch soda vending machine. But seriously, Tom, Tim and Frank are great! Highly recommend!
Mike Fernandez
I've had my bike in twice for service in the last year - both times Ben in service has been awesome, and they performed quality service, at or under the quoted price, and on time. Had new tires put on this last time, and they somehow managed to change them without even scratching the reflective rim tape I'd put on a while back - I was very pleasantly surprised! I highly recommend the service department.

I've made Lake City Powersports my go-to shop for almost a year now, since I started riding. I have received great service at reasonable prices every time I've visited. Their service staff are always quick, the job is always done to my satisfaction and usually with an extra attention to details, like replacing broken clips or bolts that have fallen by the wayside.
I recommend them to all my riding friends.

We bought a 2015 Ruckus from here last june , and it was a great experience for us. Tim sold us the scooter and was very helpful with showing how everything worked before I rode it home. We went into the store last saturday to have the scooter serviced and ended up looking at our next motorcycle purchase. We looked at seven different bikes and Tim was very proficient at answering all of our questions, all the while being very patient with us. We are very pleased and comfortable with our next purchase being from Lake City Powersports. Barry, who wrote up our service order was very charming and polite. The scooter runs and performs even better now thanks to the excellent technician there.

I've been happy with the repair work I've had them do. They have mostly replaced tires for me. They have also taken a few minutes to show how to fix minor things like a brake light switch replacement for no charge so I just purchased the part separately and installed it myself.

I recently bought 2019 CBR500R ABS from Lake City Powersports. It was a very pleasant experience. Cole assisted me with the purchase. I am very amazed by his proactiveness. He got me the motorcycle within 2 days although it was not available in the area for weeks. Whenever I went there after my purchase they have treated me nicely and answered all my questions.
This is the first time I was buying motorcycle in USA so I had many questions, Cole answered all my questions doesn't matter how silly they were. I loved the experience a lot. If I have to buy motorcycle again or want to get any accessory I will visit them.
Tom, Cole and the complete team at Lake City Powersports you truly deserve 5 stars.
Adam B
Super cool place. Nothing fancy but they are not trying to be. Just friendly, helpful people. Tons of bikes and gear to check out. Bought a helmet. Would definitely buy a bike here.
Conrad Puff-Carter
Awesome mechanics. Helped me with my bike within 48 hours. Will definitely return.
Doug McIntyre (Frescador)
Bought a new Grom on Memorial Day weekend with Gunnar's help. Great guy, super friendly, and very willing to help anyway he can. Same goes for Jim the sales manager and all the gentlemen in the parts department. Made for a great experience, especially being a new rider. Not uptight or intimidating in any way. I strongly recommend checking these guys out as I'll certainly keep coming back to them!

Grade: A. Service department is excellent - dependable, do solid work and helpful. Since moving from the East Coast to Seattle, I have been coming here for the last three years and wouldn't take my motorcycle anywhere else. Always helpful on maintenance tips and go the extra mile (was coming late from work and they were kind enough to stay open a little longer). People love to complain, but don't say much or give praise for a job well done. So, Lake City Powersports- thank you.
Kimberly Ehler
We purchased two new Hinda
Ruckus Scooters.
Cole was our sales representative and was delightful to work with. He was knowledgeable about the rides and helped us get in and out as quickly as possible. Thanks Cole.
Travis Seale
Timothy at Lake City Motor sports went the extra mile to help me out. I knew I wanted a certain bike but didn't have the time to go down there because of work schedule. Tim brought the bike to my work, signed papers which was very convenient for me. The team there made it very easy to do business which I greatly appreciate. If you need a bike call and ask for Timothy and give Lake City the opportunity to earn your business.

My first visit to LCP was for service on my 2017 Honda Rebel 500. About 60-90 minutes for my 600mile service, so I had time to putts around. Within my first 30 minutes, I had amazing interactions with just about everyone in the place. The men at the accessories/apparel counter were awesome to chat with even though I wasn't going to purchase anything. Then I spoke with Timothy, the sweetest salesman I've ever met, about everything under the sun. I believe the service manager was Gary, he was also a total sweetheart. Overall, one of the best small businesses I've been to in Seattle. My bike is running like a dream and LCP has a customer for life.
Ray Lei (gzmask)
Got my cbr500r tuned in. Rides like a dream. 5 out of 5 will come again.
Casey mycon
I've got to say this is one of the best motorcycle shops, I have been shopping here for almost 9years. They have knowledge way beyond some of the other shops. The guys who work there treat me like a friend or part of the lake city power sports family not just a customer. This is one shop I send all my rider buddy's to for any kind of parts or service. Thanks guys your Awesome
Craig Grosinger
Great service department. I've been bringing my Hondas here for twenty-five years.

Can't recommend this place enough. Bought my first bike from here and from first contact to walking out with the keys was great. No pressure, knowledgeable staff. Definitely consider checking them out if you're in the market for a bike.

Always a pleasure going here. Staff is very helpful, knowledgeable, and not pushy what-so-ever. Looking forward to buying an electric bike once I start making some money again. :)

I just bought a Honda pioneer 500 from Lake City Powersports and had a great experience! They did not have any in stock but got one ordered for me the same day. They also got be set up with a loan with a awesome interest rate. I will be returning back to buy more gear from them
David Schripsema
I recently purchased a 2016 Honda Ruckus from Lake City Powersports. It was the first (and only) place I went since I knew exactly what I wanted.
For context, I have purchased a Honda Ruckus new at a different dealership in MI, as well as made several car dealership purchases so I am familiar with the process. I also purchased some accessories (helmet, rear suspension upgrade, lowered seat frame upgrade) at the same time from the parts department. I came knowing exactly what I wanted, and with funds already sorted ahead of time.
The Good:
- Salesman Timothy was friendly and attentive during the purchasing process. He explained the features of the scooter well, and was able to answer any lingering questions I had.
- Inventory on-hand for common Ruckus upgrades at close-to-internet pricing.
- Showroom was clean and had lots of selection with appropriate staffing for number of customers.
- Timothy was very accommodating and willing to make a swap for me (put the black seat from the black ruckus on my white Ruckus, and the red seat from my white Ruckus back on to a black one) at no additional cost whilst paperwork was running.
The "Ehhhh....?"
- They offer a 10% coupon off parts in exchange for *positive* feedback on Yelp or Google. Incentivizing and encouraging positive reviews rather than asking for general feedback rubs me pretty hard in the wrong direction. Your opinion may vary.
- When I came back in to pick up the part I'd ordered and my license and registration, Timothy did not seem to recognize me or follow up at all on how I was enjoying my scooter or how it was working out for me, even after getting my unique last name (which we'd discussed during my purchase.) I'm sure he sees many people day in and day out and it's absolutely not required, but it's a level of service I've come to expect from dealerships given my past experiences, and required to get 5 stars from me (-1 star).
- Selection of helmets geared towards sport-bike-style helmets, and less so towards interesting scooter-appropriate helmets or people with large heads. I found something that works, but it's not what I'd hoped for.
The Bad:
- I had little desire to haggle and a strong desire to assume the best about people and places of business. I understand that this place is a business and needs to make money, but they slapped every possible fee on top of the purchase. My final "off the lot" price was $3621.49 on a scooter with a $2649 MSRP. Of that, $558.49 was mandatory, and $414 (or approximately 15.6% of sticker price) was in above-MSRP dealer markup. (Dealer Invoice appears to be $2331, not including manufacturer incentives for volume of sales, etc.)
There was no consideration for additional money I was spending there on accessories at time of purchase, and in fact once they saw the rock-bottom interest rate and high amount I was approved for from Honda for a scooter purchase, started joking about showing me the "most expensive accessories."
All that to say, when I went back in to pick up the part that came in stock as well as my license plate and registration, the extra $1.09 they charged me for a small bolt (related to the $230 in accessories I'd already purchased) seemed like a slap in the face, and is the primary reason for only 3 stars being given.
- As I was riding the Ruckus I purchased off the lot, I noticed that the handlebars were significantly out of alignment. It was about 15 minutes before close, so Timothy did the best he could to straighten them out, but they're still not perfect, so he advised me to have the service department address it at my first service.
In Summary:
I would not discourage anyone from visiting Lake City Powersports, but I would encourage everyone to shop around and come in with an offer in hand for them to match or be willing to haggle a bit on the extra fees they tack on. Destination, Tax, and Registration fees are fine - but an additional 16% over-MSRP markup is more than I've paid anywhere ever on a vehicle, and more than I'm willing to pay again for the quality of service and product I received.
Kyle Goodrich
Kevin at the parts counter unfortunately didn't have my battery in stock, but called every other local dealer to find one for me. If Lake City Powersports doesn't have what your looking for, they will find it for you. Great customer service and I will be coming back.
Miguel Salcedo
The staff at Lake City Powersprots was extremely friendly. I went to this store after having shopped around at Lynnwood Motoplex. Timothy was extremely helpful in offering competitive prices. Both him and Tom constantly looked for ways to help me save money, so I could become the owner of a motorcycle.
Tim's help was invaluable in choosing the right bike and ensuring I received a -- more than -- fair price. I can't recommend this place enough to anyone looking for a Honda or Kawasaki motorcycle. The friendly service and great attention to detail was definitely welcome.

I bought EX650 Kawasaki Ninja from Lake city power sports.. After visiting all dealerships in the Seattle, Bellevue and near by areas, I finalized on buying it here for the price and pleasant experience. Unlike most of the dealerships where the primary focus is sales, folks here genuinely care about their customers. I can’t emphasize this enough.
When my registration plate got lost in the shipment, Tom personally visited DMV, got a new plate, drove across the bridge and hand delivered it to me. How many dealerships out there would go to that extent for customers even after the deal is closed ?
I highly recommend them for anything motorcycle related.
Robert de Forest
I bought a 2015 Honda Shadow Aero a few weeks ago. The service was top-notch: friendly, relaxed, knowledgeable and ready to deal with whatever complications came along (they dealt with CapitalOne being dumb). Since then I've been back in for accessories and to replace a mirror I broke the day after I bought the bike. They continue to impress me at every opportunity.
David Liatos
Just purchased my second Honda Goldwing from Lake City Powersports. Timothy and Tom were extremely helpful - getting me the price I wanted to pay, ordering and installing the accessories and delivering my bike when they said they would. I will continue to use them for service and will purchase my next Goldwing from them too!.
Janet Dolan
I am happy to give 5 stars to Lake City Powersports. A replacement part for my vintage motorcycle was unavailable. They designed and created a suitable part to keep the problem from recurring. My bike runs like a top now.

22 Aug 15 - Aaron called right after I emailed from about 100miles away, pulled Pete from what he was working on and prioritized my Goldwing trike to help get me back on my 11,000 mile USA 4-Corners ride. 10 hours later, after Pete did a front end rebuild, I picked out a new helmet from their wide selection & got some odds & ends, paid a very reasonable bill, ans I was safely back on track. Absolutely great service & attitudes. Highly recommend these guys for regular...or emergency services. Thanks Aaron & Pete!
Jimmy McKinney
I worked with Cole and he was absolutely amazing. Very friendly and answered all my questions. Even with a small Ruckus purchase, he treated my daughter and I really well. Will be buying from them, again.
Brendan Floyd
I couldn't be happier with my experience there. They were incredibly helpful with financing, I have very little credit but Amie worked really hard to get me financed. I can't recommend this place enough. They will always be my first stop when I'm looking for a new bike.

I was just tagging along with a friend while he was looking at scooters. They were very diligent about greeting us and learning about what we were looking for. They walked through the process quickly, giving options and prices along the way.

Frank in parts was really awesome over the phone and went out of his way to answer a question nobody else seemed to be able to help me with. Great team!
Kyle Clouse
Went in looking for parts, Nicholas was at the parts counter. He looked them up had them out for me in no time at all. Threw in a crush washer I needed as well without me even asking. Great service, decent prices.
William Davis
This is the place to go for your Japanese motorcycle or scooter. Last dealer in the city for a reason; they know what they're doing. Stop buying your parts and accessories online and instead support a local, family owned business. You will also be supporting your neighbors, your community and local economy instead of sending your money far away never to return.
thomas pantig
Friendly staff. If they don't have it in stock they order it amazingly quick. Nice selection of bikes and protective gear
Highly recommend if you're looking for a honda or Kawasaki bike.

I've always had a good experience with LCP, from my custom street fightered ZX-6R, the Z125 I purchased from them at an amazing price, and now my H2SX SE. Their people are knowledgeable and friendly.
Charles H. Atwood
Purchased a new helmet. Sales guy was prompt and very helpful. Selection of helmets includes all price ranges, and I found what I wanted for considerably less than I expected to pay.

Simple process to buy a Honda scooter. Best price in the area. Was given some inside tips on the Honda PCX150. Tom was great to work with. Highly recommend them!!

Timothy was very knowledgeable and helpful during our visit. I will absolutely bring my business to Lake City Powersports anytime. I recommend this place 100%

Everyone here is a class act. Great people. Great customer service! Definitely recommend

There's a salesman here that has no idea about giving service to customers, arrogant to say the least.
On the other hand, the shop manager gives great service and always makes sure keeping you posted on status of things.
