It was actually shocking how different my experience was at Destination versus NW. After saving for years to buy a Harley NW was more interested in selling what whatever they had on hand than helping me find what I wanted. I wasted over 3 hours down there haggling about a bike that they neither had or could get. My wife and I went to Destination just to see what they had and Phil really jumped on the opportunity to earn our business. It was the one day off that my busy wife of four kids had, and I told her we wouldn't be at the HD shop all day. After explaining that to Phil and Andrew they really pushed to get the whole deal done within 2 hours, from greeting to signing. Great experience. My only true reservation about buying from Tacoma was the drive from Chehalis for service, but the free pickup and delivery totally fixes that issue. Totally recommend and will visit again soon

My girl and I had been talking about opening a new line of credit, and figured - what the hell, let’s just get a new bike. I’ve never been one for Harley, kinda love the bikes but hate the culture, however my GS1100 isn’t suited for two riders, it’s barely street legal as is. Walked in, greeted right away by two bearded gentleman. Dudes are honestly so nice and heavily gear minded. Took our needs into great consideration, let me test ride a few bikes and when I ripped the forty-eight, we knew it was on. Jon was extremely patient as we pandered back and fourth about the right deal, dude stayed nearly two hours after the shop closed and we signed the deal. Everyone we encountered was friendly and for sure went the extra mile. I’ll give it up to Austin as well, guy remembered my name when I came back ten days later to pick up some parts. Also highly knowledgeable and an incredibly nice guy. I’m positive I’ll be back to blow future paychecks on parts.

The staffs were friendly, welcoming and helpful. I gave 4 stars because I felt like I didn’t get the same bargaining deal agreement at the end of the sale. And I’ve waited almost two months without any follow up calls only to find out that my Bike was already in the store only if i didn’t happen to drop by that my bike was sitting there. And the sales agent was apologetic about it. How could not he know that?

"Although we've moved to Waco Tx I still owe a heartfelt thanks to Ed and Mark the service manager and also to Teresa who sold me the used 2006 S/E Ultra without any warranty expressed or implied. Within 700 miles or so after purchase it suffered catastrophic engine failure on a 3-day ride and I was stranded in South Eastern Oregon. Thankfully the three put their heads together and came up with a plan to get me a brand new 103 engine and a new oil cooler. They worked with me on a price that was comfortably agreeable and fair. I'm still riding that bike today!"

The parts department is amazing. I’ve dealt with them a lot and they have gone the extra mile every time. I’ve never bought a bike there but two friends of mine have both having great experiences and the sales team is extremely friendly and not pushy at all. I’ve had my bike worked by the service department and they did a great job as well as the guy who does pickups/deliveries. My bike was so clean when they gave it back I barely recognized it. The clothing department is also very friendly. I literally cannot say enough good things about this dealership.

Met Cole at 10am and I rode 3 bikes. It was between a 2020 Fatboy Anniversary, 2013 Heritahe Classic and a 2021 Teal Heritage Classic with 107. It was close on all three bikes. But I qualified for 3.49% on 60 months combined with lifetime warranty and a beautiful bike that rode very smooth to win me over. I wasn't in a hurry and took 6 hours to decide, but the 2021 Teal HD Heritage won. I am very pleased with the bike choice and appreciate them working with me. If I could of gotten 3.49 I might have been leaving with 2020 Fatboy, it was that close. The dealership experience was awesome. HD should recognize veterans with ID as a discount in store, service, and purchasing a bike. Other than that this place Rocks!!

It was a great no pressure atmosphere with great staff all around. “I made my appointment with Candace and she followed up as promised with an email reminder of it ahead of time. My work was an oil change and the brake fluid recall so I got there early and chose to wait and have some coffee. It also gave me a chance to meet and swap stories with a couple other bikers. After what was a reasonable time Candace took the time to call me on my cell phone and let me know the work was completed. I should also say that Mark arrived for work and saw me sitting outside in the cold. He Asked me if I'd like to come in where it was warm. I accepted and he was most gracious. Later he was the service writer who logged me in and arranged for the details needed. While my bike is pretty clean he also asked me if I had the time he would have my bike washed and dried for me upon completion of the work. I told him it was pretty clean and he politely said they could reach some of the tough to reach parts and would be glad to do so. I thanked him and told him to turn the guys loose. "I have to commend Destination, Nikki and her staff John and Julie. I got my softail Deluxe from them and the process was non pressured. I have been in and out for a month and a half trying to find the right bike and I did, and it was worth the wait. They kept me updated on inventory and Tatiana was awesome with the paperwork. I always have good experience when I go in there. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The call wait time is pretty long for parts, especially on the weekends or after 4pm, but that's only because they're the best in the area, and everyone and their mother calls them. If you want to not be on hold for 15 minutes or longer during their rush then just go in, wait on hold, call at a different time of day, buy online, or call a different dealership.

“I had been looking at the Pan America for a while now. The bike is actually everything I dreamed of, but when it first came out I was hesitant to purchase a brand new design without seeing how it panned out first (Ba-Da-DUM!). As a result, when I finally knew that it was the bike for me, it was virtually sold out nation wide. I had tried other dealers, but no one really seemed to want to even try to help me. I kept being told that the were sold out, that they weren't making them any more, and to wait for next years model. No would put forth any effort whatsoever to even look into it. The mission did indeed seem impossible! The number one selling Adventure-Touring bike in the United States would not be an easy objective! Knowing exactly what I wanted (a Pan America Special any color but orange and cream) I contacted Nikki Smith at Destination Harley-Davidson. I asked her to please take down my information, and let me know if and when something came available. She was hard at work looking for one within the first 5 minutes of our phone call. While still on the phone, she informed me that she found only one in the local area, and explained that if a dealer had one, it was usually already reserved. I told her I was willing to wait, and resigned myself to attempting to build upon that wonderfully overrated virtue called patience. Did I say Mission Impossible?! Well....I should have said Mission Improbable! Or maybe Mission Stand Back and Watch This! Within minutes Nikki found out that the bike was not pre-sold and pounced like a cheetah taking down a baby gazelle!! She let me know that the bike was on the way, and asked me to fill out a credit app online. From there, Nikki and her Finance Manager Derek walked me through the purchase process with ease, giving me a very generous value for my trade in and getting me the payment I want! The whole experience was as smooth as a Swiss watch! The most difficult part for me would be waiting for the bike to arrive! When the call came that it had arrived I went to the store with my trade in. Nikki turned me over to Andrew who was very thorough in going over the bike with me. They then took me down the pathway introducing me to key members of the team to help me with my purchase. Alan in Parts managed to get me a top bag. I was very pleasantly surprised at this, because parts for the Pan America are hard to come by right now. I then met Andrew in the Service Department who went over the few known issues with this new model and how to resolve them should they occur (got 100 miles on the bike so far and NO issues!), and finally Julie in Finance who went over every aspect of the deal with me. At every point I was connected with people who are consummate professionals who really enjoy what they do! It was an awesome experience! The ride home was something I will never forget! This bike is everything I had hoped for and more, and I got it sooner that I dreamed possible thanks to Nikki, Derek, and the gang at Destination Harley-Davidson! I extend to them my heartfelt gratitude and encourage and recommend that anyone looking for their next purchase to check them out! Where to even begin? After having a terrible experience with a slimy salesman at another HD dealership down south I decided to stop by Destination HD in Tacoma in my search for a 2015+ Road Glide. I first interacted with Brent the sales manager, and he was great about taking down some info to help search for “my” bike while providing me trade values on my 2009 Fatbob. He was professional and relaxed and never once pressured me or harassed me with multiple voice mails. When he had found a possible bike, I was introduced to a salesperson named Nikki. I will start out by saying Nikki was awesome! She was incredibly attentive, transparent, and listened to all of the specific wants I had in regards to finding the perfect ride! The coolest part was that she shared my excitement when it came time to ride my 2017 Road Glide home! She loves riding, and loves what she does; something that’s incredibly apparent in the way she interacts with her customers, and conducts business. My experience wouldn’t have been half of what it was if it wasn’t for her. I was then introduced to Julie and Derek in the finance department when it came time to transfer titles and discuss service plans. Both of them were great to work with, and made me feel like I was investing in my purchase and not just being upsold on something I didn’t need. Finally, though I got to personally work with Nikki, Brent, Julie, and Derek when I bought my bike, I’ve had the chance to interact with Cowboy and Phil also. Andrew and the service team did an excellent job installing my forward controls and exhaust on my bike. “I had called Destination Harley to ask about a black 2015 Road King I had seen on their website. A rep named Desirae (Des) said it was available and also mentioned they had a red 2016 Road King as well. I remember Harley's red from the old days and wasn't too hot on that color. But I told Des that I would be in to see the 2015. When I got to the dealership Des told me the 2015 was at the Silverdale store but could be transferred to the Tacoma store in a few days. As we walked along the lines of used bikes we passed a sweet looking metallic wine red Road King. I turned to Des and asked her if that was the one she mentioned on the phone. She confirmed it was. When had trouble with my throttle sticking the service manager Mark Schwartz took his time and came out and took a look at my Harley. He ended working on the throttle cable and some other issues for 20 minutes or so. He was able to fix the issue at no charge. Two years ago, April 2018, I went to Tacoma Destination HD. New rider with little experience, I was interested in a FatBob. I had questions and wanted to speak to someone knowledgeable. After 40 minutes, walking, looking and sitting on many different models, we were never greeted by anyone. So we left, went down the road and bought two new HD's at another dealer. Now fast forward to today, my wife's Sportster needs it 5K service. I called and made an appointment with Megan in the service department. She had a date and time on Wed. that worked for us. Brought the bike in this Sat. morning to leave over the weekend for the Wed. appt. Megan stated that the bike may be ready by Sunday afternoon, that is three days before the scheduled appt. That really made me smile and was pleasantly surprised by her 5-Star demeanor and attitude. My wife and I decided to go into the store since it has been awhile since any HD store has been open due to the virus. Wow, what a world of difference since that first visit. So many nice sales associates, both in bikes, clothing and accessories there to greet you and offer help. Matter of fact, one thing that is very noticeable is that this store is well stocked with HD clothing and the fun stuff. I am thinking of moving/trading up to a Road Glide Limited and I most definitely will consider Tacoma Destination for my next purchase based on my recent experience. Hats off to the owner, managers and staff of Destination Tacoma HD for their positive turn around with their customer service approach.

Picked up a new 2012 Switchback. The procedure took a rather long time because they had one associate that had to use or loose vacation, so they only had one person working in the finance department. Went back in ten days and had lo-jack installed and noted no problems with their service department. The owner Ed delivered my bike to my home so that I would not have to return to the dealership to pick up the vehicle I drove down there in I felt this was excellent service. In addition most at the dealership have made me feel like a member of their family.

I would like to say that their store is nice. The people working the floor are polite and friendly. The sales people will work with you and answer any questions you have. But the people at the service department are not exactly bright. I requested the mount hardware for just a backrest on an 883. They brought out the docking hardware for my model and said this is what you will need. I get home to install it and it is the hardware required for the backrest if you have saddle bags. I believe if your only job is to work the service desk you should have an idea of what inventory you hold and what it goes to.

I went into destination for what started as a pretty simple oil change, I recently inherited my dad's bike. Having never owned a Harley before I figured I might as well go and talk to somebody and get the right product and learn the right know how … Little did I know there was what seemed like 20 different drain plugs. I don't get intimidated often but I sure was out of my element. After explaining the different types of fluid and the different ports in which those fluids and went, I felt a lot more confident in what I was trying to do. The whole process was very pleasant with absolutely no pressure. ( not that there should be for an oil change, but you never know ). Andrew insured bike was fixed on a timely manner and service went above and polished and surface of the head surfaces. This insures proper seating of top end gaskets which has gained back lost compression due to blown head gaskets. Truly quality work! Bike has never had the power it does now! Thanks Destination!

"You will probably find this an odd way to begin a review considering the 5-star rating. For context we must go back many years. PLEASE READ TO THE END. I began riding motorcycles when I was in high school, back then I had nothing but distain for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Instead riding Hondas and Kawasaki's. At the urging of a friend I first succumbed to the Harley bug and bought a 2002 Fat-Boy, I really loved that bike and the die was cast. After riding the Fat-Boy for three years, I decided I wanted a bike that I could use to travel cross country. Destination Harley Davidson was the closest dealer and the folks there were most accommodating. I test rode both the 2005 Electra-Glide and Road Glide, finally choosing the Road-Glide. A deal was struck, and a Road-Glide was ordered. All went well until the new bike arrived at Tacoma. For reasons I've never understood the deal went badly sideways. Rather than argue the summer away, I bought a 2005 Road-Glide from Bellingham HD and rode it 86,000 miles. My wife decided she wanted to ride and went through several Harleys a 2003 V-Rod, 2006 Street Glide and finally a 2009 CVO Road Glide. Her bikes were purchased at Bellingham and Northwest Harley Davidson. We purposely avoided Destination. There was a period when we both ran off the rails, I bought a Goldwing and my wife a BMW K1600GTL. Now to present day, I had the Harley bug again. I looked at Jet City Harley Davidson and Northwest Harley Davidson all great folks, but they didn't have The Bike. I decided to give Destination another look. I'm glad I did, and I now own a 2020 Road-Glide. Everyone involved in the transaction was great. Starting with Scott and Nik fit specialist and sales, Linda in finance and Des in delivery. I spoke to Ed Wallace briefly and told my story. As the owner of the dealership he assured me whatever happened in the past would never happen again. Now I would not hesitate to recommend Destination Harley Davidson. Well done"

I was a little disappointed. I came in on a rainy saturday. I bought a 2018 fxbb while living in California about 6 months ago. I moved up here for work and found this location closest to me. So I walk in with my gas cap that rattles like hell when I ride. First guy takes me to parts. Parts guy says ya idk anything about any warranty issues, you have to call the warranty lady on Tuesday. Cool so knowing that I'm a harley owner that just moved to the area and will need a good shop, not one person said hey let me swap it out for you and I'll take care of the paper later, you know build a relationship with a customer . Not only that but no one even said well hey we got this great looking upgraded cap here for sale. You know like the dealership that convinced me I needed a harley. Pretty much a go kick rocks. There was an awesome Buffalo Soldiers event going on when we stopped in which means the shop must be doing something right. However, my fiance needed to borrow a hand pump to adjust his suspension. He asked if there was one available in Service that he could use for a moment as ours was at our destination on the East side. The parts guys was very "not my problem" about it and kept trying to sell us one. We dont need two...for one bike as mine just needs a hand tool and elbow grease. Then...I went over to the clothing sales area to grab a poker chip and while one girl was taking care of me, another walked right up and started flirting with my fiance. Normally it wouldn't bug me and it was funnier than it was anything else but he and I were talking to the lady ringing me up already and she just strutted up...kind of unprofessional.

Ok, I'll be honest... I've always had mixed feelings with Harley shops. 30+yrs of riding, metric both Jap and Brit, Harleys and Indians. This place is different, it's more like a cool and fun place to hang out, that you can shop and buy cool sh-tuff. Yes, they will happily sell you a bike, but no pressure, they don't make you feel like your being attacked by a used car sales-vulture. I live in S Thurston, and drive there instead of NWHarley in Lacey. I have bought a bike through Destination after over 2 years of checking their floor, am super happy. Update: I posted this today, on a Sunday before the store opened. Ed the owner called first thing when they opened, left a voicemail and sent me a text. I called back shortly after and he couldn't have been more helpful. He apologized and offered to fix the problem right now. He was willing to open a stereo kit to use the parts to fix my issue today and he would have ordered the parts to replace in his kit. The phone number he left was his cellphone and said I could call him if I ever had any other issues. Thank you Ed and because of your action I will do business with Destination again. New 2018 cvo road glide stereo problem. Trailered it to them twice and rode it down there two other times before they even believed me something was wrong. They find a wire bundle to the left rear amp and speaker that was sagging down to the drive pulley. It had worn through and grounded out They fix that but didn't diagnose the blown speaker so I trailer it back home to find out it has to go back again. I call the service idiot that I had been dealing with and he tells me I have to drop the bike off again so he can diagnose a blown speaker that he would have to order to replace it. He told me he would work on it when he could because he was backlogged over a month. He proceded to tell me there were other people ahead of me. Hey guy, news flash, this the same proplem youy failed to fix 6 months ago before you scheduled anybody that you say is in front of me. It's a rear bag speaker that I can take out in under a minute. I went to jet city that day, they listened to the speaker and ordered it under warranty. They will call me when it's in. Done. Destination no more

This winter I decided to upgrade my 2010 streetglide with a 120st harley crate motor. It was a big and somewhat expensive decision,but I realized it was probably one of the better decisions I've made. Mark Swartz, service manager and Andrew, spent a good amount of time explaining the parts going into the engine swap, I added some of my ideas such as exhausts, air cleaner,tuner, and Mark explained me out of some of my ideas and saved me money. Mark was able to give me 20% off on all harley parts and 15% on all others plus a break on Labor. This was possible he said because of doing the work at their slow time during the off-season. Dan the tech who made all this happen and did the tune produced a perfect square on the dyno 130 hp/133ft lbs tq. Mark told me those were the best numbers they ever had come out of destination. This motor has incredible manners in traffic and awesome power on the open highway. Sorry for the long review but this service department deserves all the credit, and Ed Wallace for finding these extraordinary people.

Not so enthused. Ordered a break cable, and had to returned it three different times. Never received the correct one. At the end of which o was told I could only get my no ey back through store credit or a check that may take 3 to four weeks to recieve. Also it's been over a month to get docking hardware. (Edited 3 days later) After reading my review, ed the owner gave me a call. I have to say that he made the situation much better. He directed me to a place where I can get the break line I needed made, and also relieved the issue of getting my return back.

In December of 2017, I brought my 06 FLHTCI for service. Jessica had me test ride a new 2018 Ultra Limited which I fell in love with. I wanted the 115th Anniversary Edition and the entire dealership went to work to locate one for me. Staff if knowledgeable, but there is always long lines when waiting to get parts. Average wait time to be helped is around 10-15 minutes it seems like. I've waited as long as 30-45 minutes before. Just plan understaffed imo.
