I am 3 months late in posting this review, but better late than never!
I am glad to be part of the BMW Motorcycles of Seattle family. I would’ve said glad to be a customer, but they go the extra mile to treat you like family and not just a customer. What a team!
Special shout-out to Travis Seale, who has been the most helpful, kind, knowledgeable and PATIENT client advisor pre-sale, post-sale, pre-delivery, post-delivery and even post-post-delivery (if that’s a thing). If you ever plan on buying a Motorcycle, Travis is your guy!
My wife Ruby and I moved from Bangalore, India to Seattle in August of 2021, and it’s always been my dream to own such a bike. In India, owning such bikes is not easy, and with the road conditions, you wouldn’t be able to enjoy it to its full potential. At BMW Motorcycles of Seattle, not only did my dreams come true, the process of the purchase was the most enjoyable purchases I’ve had in life, thanks to the entire team at BMW Motorcycles of Seattle.
My review wouldn’t be complete without the mention of the BMW Motorcycles of Seattle service team. Special shout-out to Charlie, who is such a kind, patient and knowledgeable man. He manages the service department and has taken care of me and my bike well! Like I said in the beginning, I’m part of the BMW Motorcycles of Seattle family, and each member of their team deserves accolades for their amazing work.

A great experience test riding motorcycles here. Travis was helpful and patient to walk us through the process and providing with quotes. He also had some suggestions for us which helped us narrow down on options. Charlie from the service helped me understand the basic service costs and maintenance schedules for the potential motorcycles I intend to buy.
These points might be a part of their job description but the way the dealership treats a potential customer is very important and I would love to buy a motorcycle from them.

I’ve experienced the good bad and ugly in BMW franchises, and I am pleased to report that BMW Motorcycles of Seattle is the gold
standard. They had never met me but when I called to ask if they would receive our two bikes for us, hold them until our arrival, service them and get them ready for a west coast adventure, they eagerly agreed. They went above and beyond in making sure the bikes were ready for us. I believe that BMW is a premium brand and should always be represented professionally and with a sense of service and accommodation. Charlie and Jorge were excellent in exceeding my expectations. When we arrived we found a fully staffed shop where everyone adhered to the same high standards. Well done, gentlemen!

This Summer, I brought my K1200S to BMW Seattle to change tires, fix brakes and replace fuel strip. They provided me professional services, and equally importantly, the price they charged me was fair.
Later, I found that the new fuel strip did not work well. The strip is essential a fuel sensor to tell you how much gas you have in the tank. So I brought my bike back to the shop several days ago. Charles diagnosed it and replaced it with a new strip. They did not charge me for a penny, therefore I happily picked up my bike yesterday. Thanks Charles!

I'm on a Motorcycle Spiritual Sabbatical and needed an oil change. Pulled in to their service and received an appointment for 11:25am the next day. Got a room for the night with good guidance from Charlie the service Mgr. I wake at sunup and head back to the shop. They took me in at 9am and got me back on the road quickly. Charlie also showed me some places I should ride though. They went out of their ordinary routine to get me going again.

My F800ST refused to start despite doing all the normal troubleshooting myself (gas in the tank? Battery charged? Kickstand up? Kill switch off?). My bike needed to be towed out of my downtown condo garage — no small feat — so Travis came out from the dealership with a Sprinter van and helped haul it out of there in five minutes flat. Charlie and the service team did their due diligence and figured out that the problem was a faulty starter switch. It was replaced in a day, the labor and parts cost was reasonable, and the service was friendly and professional from start to finish. Charlie even showed me the faulty switch and gave me a couple of tips on extending the life of the new one. Furthermore, he had noticed that my aftermarket windshield was magnifying sunlight and causing a tiny spot of molten plastic on my control panel, so he took the time to call me after I’d picked up the bike to explain that quirk and suggest that I get a cover for the windshield (if I ever needed to park in direct sun).
I’d gladly trust this team with any repairs or maintenance my bike needs.

While I do most routine service myself, I have been bringing my 2014 R1200GS to BMW Motorcycles of Seattle for major repairs and services for about a year. Worried about "paying dealer costs", the service team has been invaluable taking care of my ride as if it were their own. Charlie, Jorge, and the cadre of skilled technicians are friendly, candid, and open about what I need to keep my bike not only in good repair but keep me safe. Following a catastrophic failure of a final drive seal last summer, they pulled it apart and encouraged me to come in to inspect the shaft surface myself before needlessly replacing a seal that would fail again in the near future. The mechanic's attention to finding the cause of the problem certainly saved me a major headache if they had just replaced the seal and it failed again out in the back country somewhere. With the recent swing arm drain retrofit I had to wait a couple months, but BMW Mottorad also replaced the driveshaft for free due to high miles on my machine. Charlie was up front and projected a one-day turn around. However, I had the bike back within a couple hours! Considering their lot is always full of WA State Patrol bikes and every variety of Beemer every time I go in, I was happy to have my ride back so quick for my daily commute. As a courtesy while they had it, they ran a fault code memory check on the ECU and found a fault indicated for an item that was going to cost me a bunch ("dealer prices"!!!). Charlie explained the issue, gave me options, and ultimately saved me unnecessary costs for an item that was not affecting performance or safety. Charlie and his team have impeccable service integrity and genuine care for their customers, our wallets, and keeping us on our rides. Priceless!

I miss the old "Ride West", after years and years of shopping there, but now that the new owner has combined Ducati Seattle with "BMW Motorycles of Seattle" (each "have" half of the same building that Ride West once had all to itself), you get more bang for your buck. Pun not intended. Really, it's nice to have two great brands under the same roof. I do wish they had a broader selection of safety gear, jackets, pants, boots, gloves, etc, because the only thing they really have a GREAT selection of is helmets. That's 1 of the 10 things a rider needs! Maybe they don't make enough money off this gear, but if it's not available to purchase or get you excited about quality gear, people have no choice but to shop for their gear out of state/online. I'd rather give my money to these guys, but during a recent shopping spree there, all I could buy was a back protector, when I was in the market for hot weather riding pants, jacket, and boots. I had to buy all of these things online, instead. Maybe the owner has a good reason for the slim apparel line-up, or maybe he's oblivious to the benefits of stocking quality gear, but I hope they improve the range of their gear, in the future.

Since moving back to the NW, I have chosen BMW Motorcycles of Seattle as my sales and servicing dealer — and for good reason. The people at this dealership are friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and very outgoing. If you know BMW, then you are already familiar with the meticulous craftsmanship that goes into each model. At the same time, I have never experienced pressure to make a purchase that wasn’t exactly right for me. This dealership lives out the meaning of honor, putting you — their friend and customer — first. Have you ever been to an establishment that (a) doesn’t know who you are (or ever make any effort to get to know you); (b) treats you like a bother for interfering with their all-important smartphone time; and/or (c) treats every interaction as the last sale that they expect from you (which often becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy)? Me, too. But BMW Motorcycles of Seattle is the *opposite* of that; they earn your trust, friendship, and business every time you call or stop in. Yesterday was a great example of this for me; I was on my way in for routine service when my battery decided to take a holiday. I was in Redmond and, after walking my motorcycle out of the intersection (that’s exciting!), called to explain the problem. Jorge immediately drove from Lake City Way in Seattle to Redmond and, with a wonderfully small but effective power device, jumped my motorcycle battery and restored my mobility. He then followed me to the dealership. Since my battery’s “holiday” was apparently permanent, he worked with BMW and his own store management to effect a replacement. This is definitely the brand and the dealership for me — thank you, Jorge and BMW Motorcycles of Seattle!

On my way home to Iowa from Alaska I brought my 2018 BMW 1200 GS Adventure in for its 20,000 mile maintenance visit. I made an appointment weeks before when I knew I’d be through Seattle. Lots of custom bits they had to order, work around and with. No ‘non stock’ balking or whining. They truly love what they do, motorcycles.

Excellent Service. I had planned a 3 k Mc ride when my drive shaft went out. On MY 2008, R1200GSA. This shop did an excellent job of acquiring the necessary parts from out of state and preformed the repair. The immediate started working on the bike when it arrived and by end of day had an provided an estimate on parts and time need to repair. They made it a priority to get it road ready for my trip. They made it happen. I'm very happy they saved my trip! They made the repair one day before we leave. Awesome!

Hi everyone. Just wanted to put in a good word about the great people in the service department at BMW Motorcycles of Seattle. When my brake line failed on my 98 R 1100R a few months ago ( luckily in my garage) they picked it up in their van the very next day. They fixed it the right way by replacing all the the brake lines of course. I brought the bike back yesterday because the ABS has been failing to engage sometimes when I start the bike. They diagnosed the problem and gave me some options for getting it fixed, all free of charge! Like I said before, these guys are great!

Best BMW bike shop, by far!! Unlike the Polaris owned shops, this place is staffed by knowledgeable biking enthusiasts, that listen and care. I bought a GTL, and it was fun and easy. No pressure, just like you’re one of the family... like Harley shops used to be. I’ve owned Harleys, Indians, Aprilia, Yamaha, and Kawasaki bikes and zig-zagged the country’s backroads, so know dealer personalities. BUY HERE. They’re great!

These guys are great. Bought my first bike here 15 months ago and they delivered it to me in Mill Creek so I wouldn't have to ride the freeway in the rain. Great showroom, lots of new and used bikes, semi-annual swap meets for bikes and equipment/apparel, Team Ride West riding club with seminars and group rides at least twice a month, very friendly and knowledgeable service staff. Overall, the best dealership I have ever dealt with for cars or bikes.

I just purchased a 2019 R1250 GS Adventure. I had some financing challenges that made the process slow and tiresome - and it was all my fault. Through that process, my salesperson, Laurie McSeveney was the star. She was supportive, positive and understanding. I felt guilty; she said it will be OK and it was. I took possession of the bike and got the first 600 miles on it in (4) days. Tomorrow I am scheduled for the initial service and I get to thank Laurie and team for making it happen. Great selection of used bikes that are parked outside when the weather is nice, but overall the Ducati and BMW dealerships feel disjointed inside. And I didn't find the sales staff very warm, helpful or friendly. I wandered around for quite a while before I was helped. They should make the space easier to explore, more approachable if they want to make more sales.

This place bent over backwards to help us. We had a crazy schedule and needed the work done before we could send the bike overseas. Jorge was simply fabulous got the parts in a day worked with our schedule got the work done in a day and let us keep the bike there for two days saving us over 6 hours of driving. Shame we only got to use it once of we lived there they would be out absolute go to guys.

I have purchased over 15 BMW motorcycles from this dealership both as Ride West and Seattle BMW. Roman has been there since 2004, Laurie is relatively new to the store but experienced. She has extensive training and sales experience with BMW cars and motorcycles in San Diego. She also rides and owns several BMW models. One of the best!

I called to see if they had a bracket for my wife's new bike, the guy I spoke to said they had it in stock and would hold it for me. When I got there the parts guy was not able to find it. They were very apologetic and said they could order and ship it to me. While they were looking for it my wife tried on a jacket that was perfect fit. Chris bell without hesitation offered to give a 20% discount on the jacket. I wasn't upset over the part issue and understood that the computer is not always right. I didn't buy my wife's bike from their store but I will bring my future business to them. I hope the owners take good care of their employees, they are the reason people come back. Btw my wife loves the jacket.

We traveled from Alaska and bought a few things for the return trip--highway pegs, face shield, pin lock, etc. Called, talked to Ben, and the next day the pegs had arrived. Ben, Zach, and Brian were particularly helpful. Excellent dealership with a strong inventory of parts, and they could order overnight items they did not carry. Great customer service.

It's the people. It's 100% the people. Many Name Brand service departments won't discuss the problems you're experiencing or give an opinion from their, "I won't have any idea until I get it on the lift". NOT THESE GUYS, after tearing a tire trying to mount it myself & then pouring the wrong oil in the wrong whole... these guys spent more time on the phone with me than in person!

This dealership is fairly large and they have a lot of eye candy on the floor (new bikes). The service department took my bike in without an appointment without an appointment and were able to turn it around quickly... within a day and a half.

Ironically, I had a great experience here buying a used Yamaha FJR1300! Not knocking on the BMW's but I don't have that kind of money...The salesman, Eric was very helpful in the whole process. Would definitely recommend these guys!

Bought a bike here and had an average experience. They definitely lost my trust when they told me that I couldn't transfer my license plates, after I asked about it. I looked it up online later on and found out that you can easily transfer plates in the State of Washington. The sales manager straight up lied to me when I asked about it, and instead charged me the full registration price for the State of Washington.

Ride West in both service and apparel never seace to amaze me. I dont shop much for apparel at ride west but when I do they always have what I want or know how to get it for a lower price. Service wise, yes ive had ups and downs with Ride West but when the downs do happen, they fixed it right away. You guys are great idk what id do with out this shop.

They have a riding club that's inclusive to all types of bikes, and unlike other big box dealers, you can pretty much test ride any bike here, and even take their bikes out on a club ride.
They also have multi-day riding trips for both street and dual sport bikes.
