We took a 7-day dual sport trip in New Mexico with the guys from MotoVermont. It was fantastic in every way! From a fun, creative, and varied itinerary, to thoughtfully chosen lodging and meals (including some meals cooked by the company owner at our motels!), friendly and encouraging guiding, and ever-present can-do attitudes and smiles -- it was an unforgettable and rewarding experience from start to finish. I highly recommend traveling or training with Eric and Spencer!

Eric and Spencer are two of the nicest humans you'll ever meet - they're also amazingly talented motorbikers with a genuine passion for sharing and growing the love of the sport!
I'd been riding for nearly 25yrs, but like many, recently found myself wanting to explore some of the less traveled (paved), more adventurous routes. I spent 2 days with them for the Into to ADV course they offer and am a better, safer, more confident rider because of it.
Couldn't recommend more!

Just completed the intro to adventure weekend course. Spencer and Eric are great instructors! I will definitely be coming back for more training and tours with them. And they’re located in such a beautiful Part of the country. You won’t regret booking with them.

Eric was amazing to work with for our last minute trip. He made everything super easy. Dropped the bike at our hotel, helped with equipment, went over everything in detail, gave us a planned route with GPS, and even gave us some local dinner recommendations to boot! Amazing service and super nice guy. So glad we took advantage of this opportunity with a great Vermont company.

Any expectations I may have had going into the Moto Vermont NM tour were vastly exceeded. Make no mistake, this is an adventure!; Unexpected snow and ice one day, completely washed out trails another. Along the way spectacular scenery and a crazy variety of terrain to traverse has you fully engaged — sand, water crossings, wide-open dirt and gravel, gnarly rock-strewn technical climbs, and on and on. Throughout it, leader Spenser keeps the ride on track, while sweep Lucas always has your back. A group of perfect strangers on day one quickly become trusted riding friends. So cool. Lodging each night in quirky little towns is always different and comfortable. Nearly every morning and evening Eric grills a delicious meal for the group. Burritos for lunch — get used to it! A soak in hot springs perfectly caps off this truly amazing experience. Thank you Moto Vermont!

Just did the Intro to Vermont during the past weekend, it was an amazing experience. Eric and Spencer were so patience and encouraging for us the gain skills and knowledge needed for off road riding.

Motovermont was a great find. Eric and Spencer were really helpful. Not only did they rent us two BMW motorbikes which were in perfect condition, they also sent us great ideas for the perfect route prior to our trip. When we got there they had the bikes ready attending outside. After storing or stuff in the motorbike case and some paper work we were ready to head off. We left the rest of our luggage which we didn't need we with them and when we got back Eric even gave us a lift to the hotel. Thanks a lot guys! We had a great time with the motorcycle from Motovermont and can highly recommend them.

Best place to get your motorcycle rental needs taken care of in Burlington VT - better yet, sign up for one of their exciting adventure motorcycling tours. Eric & Spenser are two cool dudes who know their craft. 🏍️🤙🌄 …

I took the intro to adventure riding course this weekend Eric and Spencer are great teachers. At the beginning of the weekend I didn’t know how to take my R1200GSA into the woods but by the end of the weekend we did a class 4 Trail. It was a little intimidating with my big bike but Eric and Spencer gave me the reassurance that I could do it and I’m glad I did.

In July 2021, I completed a one-day off-road course with Eric who is the owner. We spent the morning going over basic skills with on-bike drills. Took a brief ride for lunch and then spent the afternoon applying those skills in the forest road network near the training site. Everything about the day was nothing short of flawless (except the weather). Rental bikes were well maintained, site was well set-up and drills were on-point, helpful and fun. I'm 56 and wanted to go at my own pace which we did. Spent the afternoon hitting the trails and had a blast. Eric is running a first class, professional outfit. Highly recommend.

Just finished up the Vermont 400, thank you Spenser, Lucas and Andrew for an awesome trip! We will be back. From start to finish you will not find a better moto tour in the northeast.

We rented bikes for three days to explore the area while on vacation. My bike was in really good condition and rode very nicely. The guys at the rental place were very friendly and super helpful to ensure everything was set up for a great trip. I'd definitely rent from them again.

One of the best experiences I have had! I attended the Vermont 400 lead by Eric and Spencer and let me tell you it was awesome! 4 great days of riding all kinds of different terrain from pavement, twisty dirt roads to very technical rocky hill climbs and descents on some exciting class 4 roads. (Look up class 4 roads in Vermont, very unique)
The guided tour includes 3 nights of fun lodging, Dinner and breakfast are included.
The lunch stops and breaks allowed time to see some of the inner workings of small village towns in a great state.
The riding is enough to get the heart rate up and possibly test your riding abilities for a minute or two. The adventure is real and traveling as a team just makes it more fun!
Thank you MotoVermont 400!

Eric and his team run an outstanding organization. You can choose from great rental bikes to well organized tours. The two day intro what’s the great opportunity for me to remove some of the rust from my technique. Day one we covered drills to prepare us for any challenges we would run into on day two. Nothing like a full day of riding on some beautiful back roads and trails come back to the campsite with a bunch of great guys, and guides, and having Eric cook up a fantastic barbecue dinner. Highly recommend him and his team.

Husband and I did a one day guided tour with bike rental through the Green Mountains of Vermont. Spenser was our guide for the day and customized our tour based off of our choice in terrain. The bikes provided were in great mechanical condition.
If you’re ever in the area, we would highly recommend a tour with Spenser.

I rented a BMW R1200GT from Moto Vermont from September 26-28, 2019. The assistance that I received from Spencer and Eric in making the reservation was outstanding. When I arrived the bike was in excellent condition, and Spencer was extremely thorough and cordial in explaining all of the features of the bike. The bike performed superbly over several hundred miles of riding, including some riding in the rain. I have been riding motorcycles for more than 50 years, and I would highly recommend Moto Vermont for a high-quality riding experience.

This tour was by far the most well organized and challenging tour for dirt bikes. The guides were knowledgable and well aware of all riders and of the terrain in which we were being introduced. Support was the best in that the guide has an extra motorcycle available at all times and all guides were willing to help any team member at any time. I would definitely ride with this team again and would suggest it (and have) to anyone looking for a beautiful ride through some great country. With this group, there is no other competition. They were all great!

Great experience with Moto Vermont! Called the shop two days prior to wanting the bike and they set me up with a fantastic 2017 BMW F800GS. The bike was ready to go when I arrived and all of the paperwork was ready to sign. Bike was well maintained and clean. Spencer was extremely helpful in giving suggestions for where to ride. Brought the bike back and again Spencer was there to finish the transaction. Would rent from them again in a heartbeat!

Just took a single day intro to adventure riding class and had a blast. I've been riding for over 20 years, but I've never been taught a thing by anyone knowledgeable. Lots of bad habits. I figured I could always learn a thing or two... and I did. Erik was a great teacher, and I walked away with a lot of material to practice on my own.
Erik was prepared to help us all stay cool and hydrated on our abnormally hot day. We hit town for some lunch. Got hit by a little downpour. Met a lot of great people! There was a good mix of bikes as well... from a GS1200, down to 250cc's. I hope to add some of Moto Vermont's other tours in the future. New Mexico for 7 days? Yes please!

Cannot say enough great things about this place. As someone still quite timid with my adventure bike, I opted for a private guided tour in hopes one of the instructors would help me get past my nerves so I could start riding Class IV roads with confidence. Boy did Eric deliver! He is clearly adept at catering his training to the individual. We started off the day working basic skills in their big grassy field in Lincoln, VT. Then graduated to some local dirt roads. And, sure enough, by the end of the day I was able to hit a Class IV with much more ease than ever before. I can't thank Eric enough for his patience, great instruction, and vast knowledge of the available trails for epic riding in VT (and beyond)! If ever looking for a private tour, a group tour, some training, or even just a bike rental don't think twice about booking with these guys. You won't regret the decision!

MotoVermont is an outstanding outfit! I've run tours and training through MotoVermont and Eric and Spenser have 100% lived up to the highest professional, friendly and helpful standards. They are committed to making sure their clients have everything they need for a fun and safe riding and rental experience.

I can not say enough about the experience I had and gained by these guys! If you are considering taking any of their tours or trainings don't hesitate! I am going again. A+

We had a fantastic 3 day dual sport tour with Motovermont. The first day Spencer set us up with our CRF250Ls, got us familiar with the gps, bikes and sent us on our way. The 2nd day Spencer showed up at the hotel and took us on a 150 mile guided tour. It was beautiful, challenging and a blast. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. 3rd day found us making our way back to the shop on some nice gravel back roads. Eric checked in the bikes, helped us get set for our flights and even drove us downtown so we could enjoy Burlington before heading back home. I can't recommend Motovermont enough. Just a fantastic experience.

I recently attend a Moto Vermont event at Jay Peak Vermont and I could not have been happier with my experience. Eric and his team made my experience from start to finish very easy and they went out of their way to accommodate me. I will be attending every year given the skills I learned and the comradery I developed with my fellow off road riders.
No matter what level you are as a rider they can help you get to the next level and truly enjoy this wonderful land we live in on two wheels.
Highly recommend!!

These guys were great. I rented a BMW from them last month, The bike was in excellent shape, the staff, Spencer, was very helpful and friendly, even coming in on Sunday so I could drop off the bike.
The price was exactly as advertised.
And Vermont is a beautiful place to ride.
What more could you want?

Great guys! Not many places you can rent BMW motorcycles in New England. Eric is awesome, bikes are well maintained, super close to the airport, awesome riding in Vermont and upstate NY. I'll be back in June to do it again!

I found this place after a search on Google maps "Motorcycle Shops". It isn't a true motorcycle shop. It is a place that rents dual sport bikes to people visiting the area. I was looking for some new riding boots. They have a few things for sale there. They actually have some boots that I like. If I decide to buy, I will buy from this place. I talked to Spencer, don't know if he owns or runs the place, for about 15 minutes. Very nice and very helpful. If your looking to get into adventure riding, they offer self and guided rides. Check them out!

Great crew, spent the time to go over bike features, route plan, and logistical tips. Would do business with again!

Super fun and scenic tour, with some challenging trail sections. Eric is super helpful on your riding techniques, great for both beginners and advances rider on dirt. Highly recomend!

Confirm your reservation more than once. Don't expect the bike to be in top condition. Also, confirm pricing well in advance of your trip. The pre-planned route on the GPS is fair but if you look at the map you can pick much better roads on your own. The secondary roads were where we had the most fun. The roads on the GPS route are tertiary, hard to navigate, and not always paved . The Police Museum was closed and out of business when we got there. Do not use the website to book anything. Get a human being on the phone. Using the website and email allows too much room for error . Whenever you plan to pick up the bike, allow lots of time. You have to go through almost an hour and a half of talk, legal stuff, and explanation of how the bike works even if you are a seasoned rider. The bike was not ready when we got there first thing in the morning. It was also filthy, we had to wash it . The people that run the place are super nice and super, super helpful. The price was decent for what we got since all the hotels were pretty nice.
Addendum: There were no mechanical problems with the bike. The condition mentioned was strictly cosmetic. I had no complaints about having to replace the tire although picking up a nail was certainly not done purposely and I did not mention it in the review because it was unimportant. I did not feel that 3 stars was a bad review, simply middle of the road. My review including tips on how to ensure a smooth reservation with no glitches is in no way negative of this company, simply tips from a person who has been there and had some speed bumps.

Great, great establishment. We rented two bikes for a 4 day trip around the Adirondacks and they picked us up at the airport, and were helpful in planning and stayed in touch with us before, during, and after. We will be back!
