Every sales person bowed to my needs. Also, each one was friendly, very informative about the products, and spent the time necessary for me to make the right decision. The sales person did not rush me and even went so far as to FaceTime me at home while I measured my old mattress. This was my second purchase from Mattress Firm when I bought another bed from them last year. Each time I was treated with respect and not given a heavy sales pitch. . My bed was delivered two days later I highly recommend this company, especially the crews from South Portland, Maine

Luke at this Mattress Firm location is so kind and helpful. I came in looking for a specific type of pillow for my husband who had an accident and was in the ICU nearby. I am not from the area, and was clearly upset. The pillow wasn’t in the store, so he let me pick it up from their warehouse nearby, and gave me the friends and family discount too. Their products speak for themselves, but his compassion for my situation was unique. I am beyond grateful. Thank you and God Bless.

I visited this store in search of a pillow. I was the only customer in the store, but it was a good experience nonetheless. I was allowed to try most of the pillows available in the store until I found the one which was right for me. Their inventory isn’t exactly extensive at this particular location, but I was able to request a pillow for pickup at a later date. As far as I am concerned, my pillow-related needs have been met— can’t complain whatsoever.

Quality of mattresses good. Sales guy Luke was good in helping us figure out what we needed. Delivery did not go as planned. After checking and confirming everything was in stock initially. It took three try’s to get everything delivered and one old mattress picked up. Don’t try and help them by getting your old mattress out the door. They don’t like that - if you move the mattress outside. That resulted in having to schedule and be home for a third time.

Travis is incredibly knowledgeable about his products and sleep science. He interviewed us to determine any sleep issues we have as well as learning our personal preferences. We tested some beds and he identified any unique features as well as their advantages and possible disadvantages. He was so good that we are certain we chose the perfect new bed for us. He made it a fun and easy experience!

Recently bought a mattress from these guys. Salesman was funny personable and professional. If I had had the money for a really expensive bed he could have sold me anything and then building. With high quality products and an excellent delivery radius I highly recommend anyone of The mattress firm locations. But personally I will be returning to the south Portland one.

Very positive in store experience, the deal we were able to secure on our mattress is what I was hoping for by visiting in person. All was delivered on the expected date (although one hour earlier than predicted time frame, but fortunately we were home so worked out nice). We got a returned model from the warehouse and it was in perfect condition, sleeping on the new mattress our second week now and we're super happy all around. Def. recommend going in store to try out different models, I didn't end up with the one I thought I would!

This mattress store has so many different options and prices seems to be reasonable. And I had a very pleasant experience with the manager Rhonda. She was so great in helping us finding the mattress we needed. She listened really carefully to out needs and made sure we did not feel pressured. Picking a mattress can be confusing, and she encouraged us to try as many mattresses as possible before we decided on one. Me and my husband needed a good bed because we were tired of having back pain every day and not sleeping good. So we decided to get a new bed but we didn't no where to go to get one . So we looked on line a found Mattress Firm and it sounded good so we went there. Not knowing what we needed there was a nice guy that worked there named Bryan Rosa that greeted us a very nice and polite man and asked us about how much would we like to spend on a bed And what we are looking for and he let us try out some till we found the right one and he even gave us a good deal delivery included.So if you need a bed I recomend Mattress Firm They are the best.

Travis showed me what was available in my price range and talked to his supervisor about “deals” that could be made. The delivery was on time and very efficient. My husband and I went shopping for a mattress tonight with our rambunctious 6 year old. Sam was our customer rep, he is typically in augusta so we are blessed he was in our SoPo store tonight. He was patient with our son, interacted nicely with him. He spent over 1.5 hrs with us going over all the beds and what to expect. Answered all our questions and then some. My husband is former military and he gave us an unbelievable deal. The customer service alone was worth every penny. Amazing experience!!!

Having purchased a mattress and Woven Rayon from Bamboo bedding set in Nov I have found the pillow cases extremely slick and that they winkle so bad when washed (followed directions) that one of them has become unusable. We purchased our beauty rest recharge mattress from Richard a few months ago. He was very knowledgeable with all the beds in the store. We went in and he asked us what we were looking in a bed. He listened to our needs and narrowed it down to 2 beds. Both beds were very similar but ended up agreeing on the beauty rest recharge. A major factor was also our price range. We were honest about our price range and he did a great job narrowing it down for us. We were able to buy the bed that day! What a good feeling. Richard also does a great job at being patient and not pushy like most mattress stores. Richard also takes the time to work with you. We found that most mattress stores we went to tended to just let you lay on the beds... no explanation about the perks of the beds ..basecially just let me know when you find one you think you like. Not the experience at Mattress Firm. Also Mike who was working with Richard that day was great! He was able to assist Richard in the end process with regards to the mattress protector and pillows. He also is not pushy and patient. He is very personable. Richard and Mike are what makes Mattress Firm in South Portland run. These two are very valuable staff to have. We also referred our parents there and they ended up buying a tempur pedic bed. What a great sale for those guys. We highly recommend Mattress Firm, for formerly Sleepy's. These guys are the best of the best and you WILL get what you are looking for. There guys are awesome !

**Updated to 4 stars after the Maine Area Manager went above and beyond to make things right** Buyer beware! Terrible experience from beginning to end. Our salesman was bragging to us about the $14K bed he sold earlier that day, and was complaining about the lack of commission working with us since we were picking a bed to replace our broken Serta via warranty claim. He was very disorganized, and clearly did not care about our experience since he was not going to make a big commission. The delivery date was incorrect 2 separate times prior to finally getting it right on the 3rd try... Then, they sent us the wrong mattress and refused to exchange it, because it was a warranty claim and not a new purchase. Spend your money elsewhere, you will be glad you did.

Go see Mike Manganaro! There's a million different mattresses out there and he was awesome in narrowing it down for me. He doesn't try to sell you the most expensive one, just the one that works for you. In fact there was a mattress that costs $300 more than the one I bought and he just advised me to the less expensive bed with 90% of the same benefits.
