We stopped at another store before coming to American Mattress - I glad we did, we found more about mattresses here than we did at the other place. We weren't hurried through trying out the different types of mattresses and finally found "the one" that worked best for us. Josh has been most helpful the entire time - keeping us informed of delivery, checking up with us after delivery. Just a really nice customer service driven man. Wow! I was excited to leave Shawn a great review but when I read previous reviews apparently he is just this great everyday. I hope they appreciate him because I'm going to send anyone I know to him. No pushiness just patient and informative. He has you try lots of mattresses until you get into the comfort and price range that works for you and if there is a discount he scouts it out for you. He did in 15 minute what months of online shopping couldn't do for me. I walked in thinking I was going to buy Nectar and he didn't try to talk me out of it. Once I laid on it I sunk too deep into it and couldn't turn over. He was right when he said they are nice for guest rooms or very light people. I love laying on memory foam on my back but I sleep on my stomach. I went with a Sealy Impeccable Grace firm. He helped me find a similar Sealy that was a little cheaper because price was important, but after I asked him a few more questions he said I'd want to try the Impeccable. It was $200 more and he didn't try to push it on me but after I went back and forth the Impeccable was a 9 and the other a 7. Thank you Shawn! I'm very excited to go pick up my mattress (my choice).

We had an amazing experience at American Mattress with Jennifer! Jennifer was the only one working the day we came in and even though she was helping another customer, she greeted us and got us started thinking about the type of mattress we wanted. After finishing with the other customer, she focused solely on us and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She helped us narrow our focus to a few mattresses and was very mindful of price. Well as all the reviews say Jenny is a great asset to American Mattress. She is knowledgeable, helpful , personable and a great salesperson. American Mattress has a great selection to choose from. He met our need will below the price point I came in with just on the published prices. Update: Recently had to have seating deck of our futon replaced via warranty. Jenny the store manager was most helpful. The delivery guys from the Chicago warehouse (Victor & Alejandro) were great. Delivery was as promised. There isn't any pressure to buy and for at least the beds I checked there is a trial period to insure the bed you have purchased is the right one for you. My wife and I recently purchased a mattress from this location, and thought that the experience we had was fantastic. From the moment we walked in, though short staffed that day, our sales associate Jeremiah attended to us quickly, and assisted us in quickly limiting our selection based on the firmness of the mattress we needed, followed by looking at the available options and price points afterward. The pricing and fees were clearly explained, and delivery was set up quickly once we were ready. The delivery went well, and they arrived within the time we were quoted (including a slight detour while they attempted to locate our newly constructed home that doesn't yet show on GPS). Overall, we have been very pleased by the buying experience here, with our sales associate Jeremiah, and would recommend a visit to the location for anyone in the area looking for a new mattress.

I am deeply pleased with the service and attention we received in the American Mattress store in Castleton. Jeremiah was absolutely amazing! Starting with the fact that he stayed after closing time to be with us, never making us aware of the time and having us try different mattresses. We felt like we walked out of the store with both our needs and budget taken care of, never feeling pressured to buy something we didn’t need or that we couldn’t afford. Also, American Mattress really does have great prices and sales. If you read this review and it is still summer time, you should definitely check out this store because they have great summer deals.

Purchased a new king sized mattress from here. I am VERY pleased with the purchase process. Jeremiah was very helpful and informative. I guess I’m getting old because I’ve never personally shopped for a mattress before. Just kind of googled mattress stores near me and American Mattress came up and was the first one I went to. I was weary of mattress shopping because I’m scared to be finagled into buying something that wasn’t the best value, out of my price range or something of poor quality. When I arrived a lady named Jen greeted me and immediately came to help. She gave a little background of the company and then got into my wants/needs for a mattress. She had me test several mattresses and got a feel for positions I sleep in and how I sleep on my current mattress. Honestly it was amazing on how much she knew, I didn’t know there was that much thought into the process of buying a mattress. I found a mattress I liked but didn’t want to buy right off the bat at the first store I visited, however, the mattress was low in stock and it did seem like a good deal. Jen ran some financing options and was able to put the mattres on hold for me while I figure out if I want to purchase it or not. After going to a few other places and researching online it looks like the first place I went ended up being the best deal. Jen was awesome, super helpful, not pushing me into something I don’t want or couldn’t afford and a great help on finding the right mattress and financing for me. I definitely recommend checking American Mattress out.

In May 2015 I had to purchase a new mattress, I went to American Mattress and bought the second mattress Jeremiah had shown me. I have a very bad back, and recently had thrown my back out in my sleep, and I have an old compression fracture, so I needed a mattress not too hard and not too soft. In the past when I've purchased mattresses within a week or two I've had to return it because it only made my back hurt worse. I'm very happy with my selection and Serta Queen iSeries Vantage Firm is a perfect sleeper if you have a bad back!!! I strongly encourage and recommend American Mattress!

I bought my mattress, box spring, and bed frame from this location almost 2 months ago and wanted to write a positive review to dispel any notion that this is a bad place to do business. I ordered a mid-range queen size Serta foam mattress + box spring and platform bed frame for about $1,300 - $1,400 including all delivery and assembly. All things considered, this was a very reasonable purchase and I have no complaints about the quality of goods delivered. It took 3 days to get my mattress, and another 3 weeks to get my frame - about par according to most reviews. You could get better deals somewhere else, but I'm happy with my purchase and would rather have a physical store I can go to in case something goes wrong.

Skip the Greenwood stores - I tried those 2 and were not pleased at all with the service. I originally walked in trying to test a mattress similar to one I saw at Sams Club. After a few minutes of talking and me trying to find the mattress, Jeremiah asked for more details so I took out my phone and showed him the tag and prices. He showed me the one that was comparable, then proceeded to beat Sam's price plus offered Free delivery & removal of my old set! The store also has a 30 day trial. I ended up choosing a Memory Foam set instead of the one I was originally after, and Jeremiah was able to give me an extremely competitive price plus the benefits of delivery, removal, and 30 day trial....I am very pleased!! It was delivered on time and without at hitch this morning (the delivery guys were wonderful - very polite and helpful with tips on caring for the mattress). I found this store to be VERY helpful and pleasant. As I mentioned above, I talked to his 2 counterparts in the Greenwood stores - Joe G at the mall location and Gary at 31 & Shelby - and they were slick salesman who only tried to (majorly) upsell me from the mattress I had discussed with Jeremiah up north. Joe was downright unpleasant from the moment we walked in the door, and Gary tried to upsell very hard. Those tactics are not appreciated by me! I'll definitely be referring people to Jeremiah in the future.
