We started out with The Mattress Man store by Ross (where Josh was extremely helpful!)- due to some budget restraints we were sent to the clearance outlet where Wes greeted us. He was *incredibly* helpful and was everything a business man should be: personable, prompt, courteous. We left having gotten a new mattress and could not be happier! Thanks to the Mattress Man Fam!

This is a really terrific store! We first went to a nationally known competitor and were discouraged by the incredibly high price point and disappointingly low stock. By contrast, at the Mattress Man, we found a huge range of sizes, styles, and prices. And when we asked what was in stock, ready for delivery, the answer was “most everything.” The person who helped us was frank, knowledgeable, and was NOT working on commission - so he was simply interested in helping us get the mattress that was right for us. We initially went to this store because it was one of the few places in Asheville to buy a mattress on a Monday. It would be my first choice to buy a mattress in Asheville any day of the week!

Brent was great to work with. He was quite busy but I don't think any of us felt unattended or rushed. Made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I also took a serious look at a bed as an investment in my health and now I can't wait to get it delivered and start having significantly less back pain esp with the adjustable frame. I looked up the one he sold me and it's gas all 5*s. He knows what he is talking about. Return customer. Nice people. Brent was great! Give that man a raise.

Excellent service and zero pressure. Ryan took the time to share his extensive knowledge and go over options. I appreciated learning about tufting and mattress design. Ended up getting just a platform for now, and it has made a huge difference already! No more PITA cheap “box spring“, and the extra clearance for under bed storage is great. The price was good deal on a high quality product. Definitely coming here for my next mattress. Thank you!

I have high praise for Wes and Ryan, store managers at the Asheville location in Overlook Village. They assisted me with selecting an appropriate mattress and adjustable bed frame for my elderly mother. I came in knowing very little about these products, and Wes listened carefully to my questions and concerns, and he helped me choose the best package. No sales pressure, just excellent and personable communication skills. His associate, Ryan, assisted me a few days later in completing the purchase over the phone. Both young men demonstrate exceptional capability. It was a pleasure doing business with them both, and I recommend this store to anyone needing fine quality bedding and professional assistance in making product selections.

I am new to this area and I prefer to give my business to locally owned business rather than corporate giants. This was one of the best shopping experiences ever. I called and the owner answered . I wanted an item that is not in demand any longer and he was placing an order at that moment. Chuck specials ordered exactly what I needed and gave me a special price as well. The adjustable base arrived in days and was delivered by two of the nicest young men who were respectful , worked rapidly and took the trash with them. One was so nice he suggested a great mattress that he had purchased for when I am ready to make that step. It only took a few days until I called to obtain a quote and was offered a twin mattress that had been custom ordered by someone else who did not complete the purchase. I was quoted a price about 60% less than retail and have now dealt with another employee to complete that purchase. All in all my initial preference to “support small local businesses rather than the impersonal behemoth corporate chain was the best move for me!! I have just returned home after suffering a stroke in October and could have been taken advantage of, instead, I was taken care of!!! Shop Mattress Man if you are in western North Carolina!!!

This Mattress store is the go-to in Asheville if you ask me. Family owned and it shows, the people here are not just trying to sell you the most expensive mattress out there. I had never been mattress shopping before and was lucky enough to have Andrew helping me out; he walked me through different types of mattresses to find what was right for me, heck he even let me lay down on 'em. As a company they also appear to work hard to help out people who need it. There were multiple financing plans we discussed to figure out what was best for me, and let's just say when I really needed the help they were there for me. Thank Mattress Man Stores!

Bought my first “real” mattress from Andrew a few weeks ago. He delivered it personally and helped us get it all set up on our frame. I was very happy to purchase my mattress and boxspring on sat. However I was told it couldn't be delivered til Monday and someone would call me Sunday to set up a time. It is now Monday and no one has called me. If I had known this I wouldn't of even purchased the queen mattress and boxspring. Im not happy right now
