I was staying at a hotel in Georgetown and searched for a spa near me. I called them to see if they had any openings and they had one in 30 minutes. I hopped up and walked the 11 minutes to their location. I love how it’s decorated inside - so pretty and serene and calming. Virginia was my massage therapist. She’s so petite that when I saw her I thought “she’s not going to be able to adequately massage me. I’m a big girl!” But boyyyyy was I wrong! Virginia was phenomenal! I told her how achy and tired my muscles were from walking all over town site seeing the day before. She gave me just the right amount of pressure and stretched my legs, arms, and neck to help alleviate the stress and tension in my muscles. It was AMAZING! It was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Virginia is little but she’s really good!!!

He was very knowledgeable and and helped me to better understand my body and how everything was connected, which I really appreciate. If you’re looking for a relaxing massage he’s not you’re guy, but if you want someone that is educated in how your body works, asks questions and gives you solid recommendations- this is the guy for you! It also helps that he is hilariously funny!

I've been here twice now and intend to be a regular client. Front desk staff is friendly and efficient. The place is clean and has sanitizer in the waiting room (cutely decorated!) and therapy rooms. I had a wonderful deep tissue massage by Lee - highly recommend him. It was easy to book appointments online.

I purchased a massage for my husband and the therapist was good, however, the table on which the massage was preformed on was sub standard, noisy, squeaky and the face cradle collapsed 2x. I told management and there was no apology or any compensation offered by “the girls at the front desk. Unacceptable. Don’t know the therapists name as it was never provided.

I was interested in medical massage for a few muscular spots that are taking longer to heal. He is truly a sports massage guru - knows the body, how it works, and how to fix it. He explains what's working correctly and what isn't and is a wealth of knowledge. Eric's bedside manner is energetic, welcoming, and fun! He ensures a comfortable and safe experience.

I wonder who the first man or woman who came up with a hot stone massage was thinking. Well I think they were a genius. I was a weary conventioneer in DC for just 3 days, suffering from jet lag and booked a 1-hour hot stone massage with Kim. It was perhaps the best massage I've ever had in my life and I don't say that lightly haven't been to some wonderful practitioners in LA and Thailand. Kim had a very intuitive touch for just the right amount of pressure to use and the stones in her hands were skillfully worked into her massage routine seamlessly so that they provided an additional source of heat and pressure that further facilitated relaxation. My only regret was that I did not ask for a longer massage. Thank you so much Kim I do believe this massage was how I managed to get over my jet lag so quickly. I also enjoyed the ambience of the spa which of course is a part of the experience. I would describe the interior as very genteel and the accessories were tasteful with giant plants in the waiting room that brought a touch of magic to the environment. They were also quite accommodating for someone looking for a same day booking. In short whether or not you are a visitor or lucky enough to frequent here often, I give DeLuca my highest recommendation, especially in the capable hands of Kim.

Beautiful Facility. Excellent staff. My massage therapist was spectacular. She (Nora) applied just the right amount of pressure where needed, listens when you need lighter pressure. Very professional. About $110.00 pp including Tip. Two things... your massage room maybe on the 2nd level...stairs and with bad knees - yikes! Parking is scarce, but its DC, therefore leave early for your appointment or rideshare.

I had a 90-minute deep tissue massage with Eric, and it was the best massage I’ve had in years. The whole experience felt restorative holistically. The ambiance inside is classy but subdued, and the staff is friendly and Covid-conscious. My massage therapist, Eric, is the perfect combination of skill, kindness, and conscientiousness. I explained how I struggle with posture and carry so much stress in my neck and upper shoulders. I got a huge amount of pain relief out of the session, and my muscle knots felt like they were melting away like butter on toast. If you need especially heavy pressure, I highly recommend Eric. Also: as a woman, I greatly appreciated his emphasis on ensuring I felt safe and comfortable. I’m looking forward to my next visit!

The staff was friendly, however 45 is the new 60 mins. I booked a 60 min couples massage and it started off with both massage therapist being friendly and asking what areas needed the most attention. Once I got on the table I felt as though I was getting a massage from an amateur. It was a little weird. I've traveled all over and have had plenty of massages and this by far was the worst massage for both of us. I'm not saying all the massage therapist at this business are inexperienced, but the 2 we had might still be training. I selected this place because of the reviews but I was so disappointed.

I booked a 60 min sports massage with Jason. I lift 3x wk and run 2-3x wk. I was having lower back soreness. Apparently I am/was unbalanced. This was definitely one of the best sports massages that I have had to date. The space is tranquil. Overall experience - wonderful and I have already booked my next appointment with Jason.

Sarah gave me the best massage I have ever had! We did a 90 minute deep tissue + a 30 min reflexology. I had tension and knots in my shoulders and Sarah professionally worked through them. Lots of pressure but no pain. She used several techniques, including moving and stretching my head/neck, arms and legs. The reflexology left me feeling restored and relaxed. The spa itself is not especially fancy but its clean, quiet, and spread out. I wasn't missing a thing! The receptionist was very kind and helpful too. I will definitely be back!

I had 2 types of massages here, cupping and deep tissue. I wanted to switch therapists to see if there was anyone better and was I ever WRONG? I wasn’t impressed with the cupping. Deep tissue with my therapist (who will remain nameless for fear I cannot book her again) is awesome. Not a fan of the room. Not a fan of them only have one water fountain on the first floor. For context, the place has 3-4 floors. Not a fan of the waiting room feeling like you are at the waiting room of a doctor’s office. I would recommend more comfy chairs and dimly lit lights in the waiting room as well as scented candles or aromatherapy. If you get a good therapist, it would be a wonderful experience.

Sharve is absolutely fantastic and definitely goes above and beyond: listening to any issues, targeting problem areas, explaining his approach, conducting both a pre- and post-session assessment, and providing you with a personalized rehab plan to work on between sessions. Beautiful ambience, clean, and decent deep tissue massage. The receptionist was friendly and offered good advice, though I didn’t appreciate him asking blatantly if I wanted to tip my massage therapist rather than letting me decide myself on the screen. Another tip: I would have appreciated the staff not acting surprised when I made it clear that my goal coming to Deluca was to reduce my need for massages. If the team there saw their job as partly helping others reduce their need for future expensive “massage therapy” it might make the whole enterprise — especially the narrative of helping people relieve tension — feel more genuine and less capitalistic. Overall though, I’d consider returning.

I cannot rave enough about Tranecia's massage techniques. I booked a couple's massage for my husband and I and Trancecia did not disappoint. I opted for the Swedish massage with light pressure mixed with aromatherapy and essential oils (lavender) and it was so relaxing, rejuvenating and peaceful. She was attentive and told me where I was tense, which was helpful. This was probably the best massage service I've ever had in DC and the staff was accommodating to booking a time and day that worked for us. I would go back to Tranecia regularly. Tranecia is bomb!! Every part of my treatment was perfect. When she was massaging I would think—this massage is the best part. When she did the body scrub I would think—no, this scrubbing is absolutely the best part. Then she would use the hot towels and I would swear the towels were the best part!! It was fantastic from beginning to end. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to get up feeling refreshed, renewed, and revitalized.

My first time here was without exaggeration one of the 2 best massages I have ever had! I've had back problems for over 25 years (since I was a kid), and for the past 3 months I was in so much discomfort that it hurt to breathe. Not only did Eric speak with me on the phone before the appt to discuss the massage style I might need - he actually fit me in that same day. Before and during the massage, he listened to what I described, and really worked to find the roots of my tight, "locked," painful back/neck. He was personable and hilarious and immediately set me at ease. :) He was super considerate in making sure I was comfortable with his touch and communicated throughout the entire session. He used massage techniques I had never experienced before (and I've had a LOT of massages in the past!) and explained what muscles/tissues he was working on as he worked. I literally felt a different person afterward! Since then, I've been back to see Eric several times, and each visit he has been able to release deeper and deeper layers of my angry "concrete" muscles/tissues. I've left feeling less stiff/painful and more in balance after every visit. Each time, he makes sure I'm comfortable and communicates everything he's doing, and the time flies with our banter. The man is mirthful and spirited and should do improv! Taylor and BT at the front desk have also been super friendly and helpful! They do a great job of creating a welcoming, warm, peaceful, & relaxing atmosphere.

I have been going to DeLuca for almost a year now, and I highly recommend treating yourself to their services. DeLuca is a hidden gem in the city: the staff is very friendly, it's well-kept, and has a nice ambiance that changes with the seasons. DeLuca is accessible - a couple blocks from DuPont South metro station. I always look forward to my appointments, especially with LaShon. I feel very comfortable voicing needs, and I strongly recommend adding on hot stones to your service and/or some aromatherapy of your choosing to optimize the benefits of the your service.

Eric is awesome! I have had chronic neck and shoulder pain for years and Eric was able to work it all out with deep tissue massage. He just knows instinctively which areas to treat. Afterwards, it felt so nice to finally be able to turn my neck without feeling pain! The staff are all friendly and the spa is in a great area. Highly recommended!

I have been visiting Eric for a sports massage a few times and he is a miracle worker! I had a muscle spasm in my neck so that I could not turn it properly without it suddenly causing a sharp pain, and Eric calmed my tight muscles and eased the pain from my neck spasm, and after 2 or 3 times I was back to normal. He is really knowledgeable and really worked on me, pulling my shoulder (but not aggressively as it might sound) and digging in, he gave me tips on exercises and stretches I should do - it was a physical therapy and a massage combo. I now have some sciatica pain and I'm expecting the same results. I absolutely trust and recommend him.

I have been a semi-regular client at Deluca for approximately five years. After my former therapist in private practice retired, I needed to find another place for deep tissue work, and Deluca seemed like a good environment. At the beginning, the choice of a particular therapist wasn't my primary concern; I simply needed someone strong enough to work through my knots. So, I rotated among a number of therapists, the majority of whom were more than sufficient and provided quality deep tissue massage. In the past year or so, however, a second shoulder injury required months of physical therapy, and even with that, chronic tension and associated pain remained. Knowing my aversion to unnecessary medication, my orthopedist recommended *regular* massage and/or acupuncture to address my symptoms. Taking this to heart, I decided to visit Deluca monthly, but I figured it might be best to choose a single therapist with whom to work so that there would be consistency in communication and treatment. Thinking about all of my prior therapists and their work, I knew who would be the optimal fit: Tim Deller. I judged Tim to be the best fit for me for the following reasons. First, Tim is *strong*. To be honest, my first impression of Tim was that he would not be nearly as strong as he is, but boy, was I wrong. He has no problem working through resistant, knotted muscles. Second, and what really impressed me, is Tim's focus. He takes his time, and I sometimes have the distinct impression that he's "listening" with his sense of touch. He will find knots of which I'm completely unaware. Third, and related to the second point, is that Tim doesn't distract himself with a lot of verbal communication. To be sure, he asks where you're experiencing problems, if any injuries need to be accommodated, etc., but the actual work is done primarily in silence, and I value that. This isn't to say that Tim is unfriendly or cold: where conversation or questions arise, it's perfectly easygoing. In this busy metropolitan area, though, the sound of silence is a welcome respite. Fourth, I have noted that Tim keeps learning new techniques to bring to his practice. For example, in the past two sessions, he has used mild cupping to assist with blood flow to areas that need it. I can report that now, after approximately four monthly visits with Tim, my chronic tension and related pain are almost completely gone. I will continue going to Tim in order to solidify this result, and I recommend him to anyone looking for thoughtful, quality, deep tissue massage.

Had a deep tissue massage at 3:30 today with "Jackson".. He was AWESOME!!! I was a little hesitant to have a male therapist , but he made me feel so comfortable. He was very professional and it was distinctly obvious, that he knew what he was doing. I walked out of there feeling so relaxed and so grateful that I had him.
