WOW! Wow! Wow!! First time at massage star today and it was beyond my expectations. I booked an hour and a half and it was very well worth it! The masseuse did an outstanding job at targeting all of my problem areas and had amazing pressure. I am someone who really needs A LOT of pressure to release the stress in my back and work out my tough knots and she really dug in deep! She applied a strong herbal gel to help with my back discomfort and tightness which felt really hot and spicy. It was an additional $30 but it was very well worth it! She even walked on my back!!! No one has ever done that for me (professionally)! Great job! I can’t wait to be back! You have another happy customer! 👏🏼♥️🤩

I wanted a neck massage but they didn't have that option on their website so I booked a full body one and I asked the masseuse to focus mainly on neck and shoulders and I was very pleased. They customize each massage according to the needs of the person and on the level of muscle tightness. All three of my friends shared that the massage experience was different for each one. They will suggest hot stone massage, etc. based on how many knots you have and they modify the massage accordingly. I would highly recommend them. The customer service is very good as well.

(I am a massage therapist of 19 years FYI) I received an amazing 90 minute deep tissue full body massage, it was like a Thai massage. The face & scalp massage was incredible and I appreciate her asking permission first. They include hot stones & hot towels which isn’t typical & much appreciated. I added on a 30 minute reflexology session which was also top notch. As a professional myself, I can highly recommend this place! Parking in the lot can be tight, there is a little field right by that has additional parking.

I did the 90min. couples message for $200. It was great, and my lady liked it as well. I was ready to leave satisfied, but as I was walking out the door, they literally stopped me to beg for tip. I offered $5 just to get out, but they complained that that wasn’t enough for them. They kept referencing the 90min. I already paid for, and they spent about 5 minutes trying to get more out of me. I eventually had to take the phone out of her hand and enter $10 manually because they were pretending to not understand me. Great massage, but that experience ruined the memory for me.

Ellie is amazing. The reason for 4 stars is that when a tip is given tothe therapists , i would hope they are apprecaitive, instead of sounding disappointing. in this economy if someone tips, understand it could be their last dollar. I always make sure to tip 25%, which at any other massage places is above standard. Additionally, when people arrive for an appointment i think its important to explain to them what to do instead of just sticking them in the room. This is the 2nd time is happened and i waited until Ellie arrived whom was shocked i was not changed. I told her someone just told me to sit in the room with no instructions lol. Overall the place is great and would recommend. for my first massage by bill was $70 and i tipped 22% me second massage was $60 and i tipped 25%

John was a cool guy to give me a call and suggest a better massage that would fit my needs. We also had a good conversation about Covid and their establishment being very comfortable, safe, and clean. It's very pretty and relaxing inside. Johns wife Sabrina worked on me and she was very kind to ask me about pressure. She gave an amazing relaxing massage I desperately needed after a long 4 months and especially after a long work week. We booked a 60 minute couples massage with Massage Star while on vacation in Tampa, FL. I’m going to be totally honest here, I am terrible about doing reviews. I know I should give them when they’re due but I often forget. Let me start by saying that we have gotten couples massages literally all over the world. While we have always enjoyed every massage I feel compelled to write this review immediately after leaving our appointment to say just how completely amazing it was. We literally both sat up and looked at each other and agreed that that was easily the best massage that either of us had ever gotten. Not even in the same stratosphere. If you are looking for a massage and are unsure where to book I would recommend this place 10 out of 10 every time. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE. FYI- When they ask you if you would like your massage “medium” or “firm”, I would suggest going with medium. Medium was more than sufficient! They ROCK!

OUT OF TOWNER FOUND GOLD in Massage Star. I had the single best theraputic massage of my life.. and I get massages roughly every week. Jenny was one of the most talented deep tissue therapists ever, which is amazing considering her tiny stature... but DO NOT BE FOOLED - SHE IS THE BEST MASSEUSE EVER! She did a cupping therapy after walking on my back... wish I knew the proper term, but she's just amazing... more skilled walker than most with hand applied therapies. But then after she did that she did my neck and shoulders and my trouble spots on my neck and right shoulder with hands that frankly seemed too strong to be hers, she's just muscle magic when it comes to working out traveler's knots, tension and stress from my neck and as with most women, my hips and sciatica scream zones :)... No funny business, no concerns you're in the wrong spot, clean, professional, straight to therapy massage and top notch therapists. On another note: COULDN"T GET AN APPOINTMENT BOOKED ONLINE THE SAME DAY... BUT!!! But the gentleman who answered the phone (from home - his wife is also a therapist at Massage Star) worked it out for me to get in same day so it might be worth a call, but they will make you book online to protect themselves and the business, because it's 100% put together and professional. Visited the Massage STAR along with my girls. We were a batch of 6 and each of us enjoyed the deep tissue massage. I dozed off for the complete one hour and enjoyed every part of the massage. Love the hot stone massage and figured that I had a lot of tension built in my neck area. I felt like reset after the massage. I recommend this massage for everyone who are looking forward for a good and relaxing massage ☺️

Wow is all I could say during and after my deep tissue massage. From the moment it started, I knew it was going to be a great session. My masseuse was Linda and honestly it was the best massage I’ve ever received. She is extremely talented and knows how to make you feel relaxed, while also working on your pressure/pain points. It was really worth the pay and even beyond that. Top quality service ! It was overall a great and much needed experience, and I plan to go nowhere else moving forward :)

I scheduled a 90 minute deep tissue massage. Not having been to this location before I did not know any of the therapist. When I arrived I met Mary a very professional lady with a very bubbly and nice personality! She directed me to the new and different massage table that is designed for larger framed people. I qualified at 6’6” and 300 lbs. I had never had a more comfortable table provided for massage, it was great. To make a long story short, Mary was excellent she addressed all my problem areas and accommodated my request for an additional 30 minutes. I can’t say enough good about this location and there great staff. I thank you Mary for an excellent massage session and providing me with such a great massage. I get to Tampa a couple of times a year, I plan on making time for a massage session with Mary anytime I’m in town.Do yourself a favor and see Mary for you massage needs!!

Went here with my man for an hour long couples massage. It was a unique and pleasant experience in that they hit many problem areas in a perfect pressure point way. We shared a room and the women made sure we were comfortable throughout. I wanted the hot stone massage but forgot to specify and they did it anyways. The hot towel ending was fantastic and I felt good. They practice good covid-19 safety practices and take your temp on the way in.

Had my first massage here recently, and had such a great experience. As everyone else says, 60 minutes means 60 minutes, which is so rare. The massage itself was wonderful, and worked out all kinds of knots all over. Sofia did an excellent job. I'll admit, the furnishings are pretty sparse when you first arrive, but don't let that throw you off. Once you're back in your private massage room, it's a great experience. The only other negative is communication was pretty limited, but adequate. My masseuse did great and checked in about the pressure, but we didn't really talk about the type of massage, and I didn't catch her name until I asked at the end. In case anyone is wondering - certain Tampa massage places offer sketchy "alternative" services, but this place is completely above board. I'll definitely be making this my go-to for massages from now on!

Great massage place. If you like a firmer, truly therapeutic massage this is the place to go. The lady masseuses have very strong hands and are very experienced. I had multiple knots around me left shoulder on my back that had been causing me pain for months. After getting a massage here I finally experienced some relief from the pain in my back. In case you've been avoiding getting a massage due to COVID......Massage Star staff have been well trained to not only clean and sanitize (which they thoroughly did before the pandemic), but they have you wear a mask, they wear a mask, and they take your temperature and they follow CDC guidelines to a letter. Besides being a fantastic massage spa - they also look after your health. We were at ease with each visit. I get no payment or consideration for my review - my wife and I just love Massage Star.

I am now a regular for Healthy Reflex. They offer massages that include deep tissue and hot stone (I prefer a stronger touch after working out so I love this style). I went to Healthy Reflex today with a giant knot on my neck. I couldn't turn my head for 2 days. Cindy was AMAZING and got it out. I've come in several other times as well. The other staff's skills were also very good, always getting rid of my tension and leave me relaxed. Foot massages there are good as well. Staff is nice (and speak sufficient English), the rooms and tables are clean and comfortable. The owner, is also very nice and cares about the business. Prices are also very affordable compared to other massage places in Tampa. I hate paying a lot for a massage and leaving without my muscles relaxed. That has never happened here! I definitely recommend Healthy Reflex. Tip: While I think they take walk-ins, call ahead of time so they can make arrangements.

Such an amazing experience and massage, prices are phenomenal too, I did a couples massage and my boyfriend and I were highly satisfied, it was honestly probably the best massage I ever received in my life. So this is my second time coming to this location and let me say, it's wonderful. I got both the 90 min massages and it's worth it. The masseuse founds knots and pressure points that made me feel as I never had back pains. You get the massage and it came with hot stone and a foot massage and it's a full body massage so they get every spot plus it's very nice and clean. Love the atmosphere, I'm definitely a full time customer. P.S I got Swedish and deep tissue. Amazing!

I WILL DRIVE THE 102 MILES TO GET THERE! This is no BS folks. I had this sharp hip pain in my right leg. I think it might have been the sciatic nerve. This bothered me for about six weeks. So bad, that my chiropractor could not relieve the pain with an adjustment. I had to see my doctor, who referred me to physical therapy. I only did one PT session before getting a massage at this place. This is not my first visit, maybe my fourth. I informed Mary, the massage therapist, that I had this agonizing pain in my hip. She pretty much beat the hell out of me in a good way working on my hip area. The next day, I noticed that my hip was not bothering me. I thought the pain would return eventually. Guess what? It didn’t. I have been pain-free for three days now. Once again, I will drive 102 miles to get a massage here, if the pain returns.

I went here for a 2 hr massage and it was very very relaxing and really helped my back since I sit at a desk all day and have a lot of tight knots. Just make sure you bring Cash to this place as there is a huge language barrier and a lot of confusion can happen if you make a payment online through the gift certificate option. But other than that it was great.

not a bad place to go get massages. The foot spa area has too much light and noise coming in so it makes it a little bit hard to relax. Massage quality from the First Lady I had was great then halfway through my service another lady swapped in and she just wasn't as good. Then when she checked me out, she had no idea about the 10% off from their yelp page.

I have been going to massage star for over a year and am super happy with the hard work and service we have been provided. A 60 minute massage here is worth a 90 minute massage compared to an average place (in my opinion), and sometimes other massage therapists still don't get to the spots that are needed. Cost is very reasonable too. No upselling or any awkwardness when it's time to pay. Just don't expect to pay with American Express card 😁. I'm not taken back by not accepting American Express card because it looks like a lot of businesses with competitive fees have this policy. I always come in a little sore, but leave feeling better so that I can keep up my exhausting 60 hour plus work week. I would not second guess a decision to come here. I've tried dozens of massage places in the past, but my girl friend and I have decided to only go here for hopefully many years to come.

I have frequented Massage Star on several occasions. I'm floored at a couple of bogus reviews about them not being clean. I've never experienced such. The claim that they are unprofessional, I've never experienced that either. One lady even complained about them taking her wig off. Listen, these hard working therapist did not have any intent to embarrass you but they are very thorough and if anything prohibits them from working on certain areas of the body, it's getting moved out of the way. They were probably just as confused as the client when they went to massage her head and her hair is detaching from her scalp. This nearly happened to my friend and we just laughed hysterically about it. I will perhaps suggest having a questionnaire or brief conversation to discuss what areas are off limits and what areas may need more attention. Maybe that will help resolve a few concerns. I don't write reviews ever... Going to this time though. I have not had a massage since I was a child so take this for what it is worth. I call to learn about and set an appointment with them and John answers. Super cool guy and solid salesman opening with our names being the same. Runs through the basics with me and sets my appointment for the evening. I get their and Lily sets me up immediately right into the massage. I assume what I got was a deep tissue because I can hear this 100lb lady giving her all on me. You have to be pretty good to work a man over twice the size of you. Solid massage, would get worked over again, would recommend. Cute thing at the end, the credit card machine was turned off for some reason as i was paying and she couldn't figure it out. So I turned it back on for her then paid. Just a funny story tidbit.

This place was great! We got a couples massage. I will warn you though, this place is a one woman show. She does everything herself. So my partner got a massage for an hour, then I got a massage for an hour. So we paid for one hour but because it's only her, we were there for two hours which was fine for us. She asked us what we'd like to get done and we just said whatever you recommend. She rubbed down everything from head to toe. I mean everything - scalp, ears, back of head. Everything. She also introduced us to hot stones. We've never had that done before but they were SO HOT. Not sure if that's normal or not but it was interesting lol. If you want something different and a better bang for your buck than massage envy, go here.

And the massage is always great. I had Sabrina today and she did a great job with my sports massage. She was wonderful at focusing primarily on the areas I told her were tight and applying enough pressure to really work the muscles. The location is sort of tucked back and could be easy to miss as you drive by, but it’s worth taking note of! They do a great job here. It’s also easy to book the day of, which is nice for busier or fluctuating schedules.

It was my first experience getting a massage and it was very enjoyable and relaxing. We were booked for a two hour session, one hour for each of us, and I went second so I spend the first house laying on a very comfortable massage table, listening to the music and relaxing, I'm pretty sure I even dozed off for a few moments. Never having had a massage before I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I felt extremely comfortable the entire time and even when the massage therapist walked on my back. We came home feeling relaxed and slept like babies. The next time my wife wants a massage we'll be returning here for another session.

She has a very intuitive touch, seeming to sense the perfect pressure level and adjusting it automatically for more tender areas until they were worked out without pain (impressive!). She spent a good amount of time on the back/next/shoulders, which was appreciated as that is where I hold most of my tension. Wish the massage beds themselves had more padded, comfortable face rests and that more time had been spent on the face, hands, and feet. Still, overall a really fantastic experience with a terrific masseuse.

I've gotten massages from a few places in town and this was by far my favorite. My parents got me a certificate for a much-needed 60 minute deep tissue massage. My back and a particularly elusive spot that seemed to be hiding under my shoulder blade had been bothering me for a while. She knew exactly how to find that pesky shoulder blade pain and worked out all of my knots. The massage was wonderful and I left feeling super relaxed. The next morning when I woke up, I put my hand on my shoulder where there is usually a knot and was surprised when there was nothing there!

This buisness is the top rated in my books. I called and talked with the owner and explaned to them the problem i had with my eyebrows turning green. Here is a small jist of the story. Went to reccomended permanent ink parlor in Missouri and got eyebrows done. Looked good for a few years and then they slowly started to turn green. When i called John and told them my story they agreed to let me come in later that evening once the get back from their Tampa location. (Who does this after a long day at work ? And then hed back home to open the door again at another location?) They do!!! They let me come in for a consult and then explaned to me what needed to be done. I was so impressed I set up an appointment for the very next day. When I arrived for my appointment I felt like I mattered to them just as i did the night before. I never once felt like i was just "another client" . I felt like a friend of the family. Everything Sabrina did, from the preperation, set up, my confort, down to the maticulous microblading was so professional. Each stroke was like she was creating a masterpiece. She took her time, she looked them over and over to see what else she could do to make them perfect. Sabrina was also cognitive of the pain and kept it managed. I hardly had any pain at all. This was a breeze and i highly recommend this buisness to everyone. John and Sabrina I thank you both so much and me and my family will be back.
